ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Otto

Marisol and Tommy have just moved into the neighborhood.  They arrive at Otto's doorstep with a container of food, hoping to meet their new neighbor.  Otto, perpetually irritated, barely conceals his annoyance at their intrusion.  Otto: "What is it you want?"  Marisol thrusts forward the food: "I brought you some food."  Otto: "Why?"  Marisol: "Because you looked hungry."  Otto just stares at the couple.  Marisol, continuing: "We wanted to properly introduce ourselves because, you know, we're gonna be neighbors."  Otto rolls his eyes.  Marisol puts the food in his hands.  Otto, moving to close the door in their faces: "Bye."  But Marisol won't be put off.  She puts a foot in the doorway so the door won't close.  Otto, surprised, opens the door again.  Marisol, smiling: "My name is Marisol."  Tommy, grinning: "And I'm Tommy."  Otto, no smile: "Otto."  Marisol, still somehow pleasant: "Are you always this unfriendly?"  Otto: "I'm not unfriendly."  Marisol: "I'd say you're a little unfriendly."  Otto: "I'm not unfriendly."  Marisol: "Un poquito, si."  Otto: "I am not."  Marisol, smiling: "Okay, you're not.  You're not unfriendly.  Every word you say is like a warm cuddle.  It really is."  


Otto sits down in a chair with his rifle across his lap.  His beloved wife has been dead for six months, he has been forced into retirement, and he has no family.  He intends to kill himself.  As he sits in the chair, preparing his rifle, he thinks back to the moment that changed his life forever.  He sees himself as a young newlywed with a pregnant wife.  The two are travelling on a bus to take a vacation before the baby arrives.  While Otto is in the bathroom, the bus crashes.  Sonya is thrown from the wreckage.  As Otto sees all of these painful memories, a song plays in the background: ♪ "I know you have a little life in you yet.  I know you have a lot of strength left." ♪ Young Otto waits months for his wife to recover enough to leave the hospital.  But the accident has killed their child and left Sonya paralyzed and unable to have more children.  Otto puts the rifle up to his chin, still thinking of Sonya.  Suddenly, he experiences a memory so clearly that he sees her in front of him.  Sonya: "That's enough now, darling.  You're angry.  I know.  And sad.  So am I.  But now we have to live."  It is what Sonya said to him after grieving the loss of their child.  Otto moves the rifle away from his chin.  (Caution: intense scene)

Otto is buying rope.  He looks at the display, figures out what he wants, and cuts five feet himself from the spool.  An employee sees him and hurries over to help.  Young man, smiling: "Can I help you with that, sir?"  Otto: "You think I don't know how to cut rope?"  Employee, still smiling: "No, it's just we usually do that for ya."  Otto: "Do you think I'm gonna cut myself and bleed all over your floor and sue you?"  Employee: "No."  Otto: "Then I don't need your help."  Intimidated, the employee moves away: "Have an excellent day."  Otto, under his breath: "Idiot."  Later, Otto goes to checkout, where the same employee is now manning the register.  But when Otto sees the employee charge him for six feet of rope, he complains.  Employee: "Yes, it's 99 cents a yard."  Otto: "I didn't get two yards.  I got five feet."  Employee: "We don't charge by the foot.  We charge by the yard."  Otto refuses to accept the company's policy and demands to speak with a manager.  Employee, looking somewhat down-trodden: "He's at lunch."  Otto, muttering: "Lunch.  All anyone cares about these days is lunch."  The employee calls the assistant manager and very quickly a bubbly, young girl jogs up.  Otto: "How old is she?  Shouldn't you be in gym class?"  Exasperated, one of the customers in line behind Otto offers him the 33 cents just to get him to move, but Otto won't accept.  Otto: "This is about the fact that I got five feet of rope because I want five feet of rope and I shouldn't have to pay for six feet of rope if I don't want six feet!"  Manager, innocently: "Did you want another foot of rope?"  Otto stares daggers at her.  (Caution: h-word used)


Otto is determined to teach Marisol how to drive.  But when she sees that he has chosen to take a car with a manual transmission, Marisol hesitates: "I've only ever driven automatic."  Otto insists that manual is the only way: "I'm teaching you how to drive."  They hit the road.  The car moves forward slowly, in jerks, as Marisol tries to figure out the mystery of the clutch.  Otto calmly tells her every step she needs to take.  Spotting a stop sign up ahead, Otto tells her what to do: "You get the clutch and then press in on the brake."  Marisol becomes more and more agitated as the car doesn't respond in the way she expects.  The car continues to jerk its way forward.  Otto remains calm.  Marisol is anything but calm.  The stop sign gets closer and closer.  Otto, calmly: "Brake.  Brake.  Brake."  Marisol, screeching: "Don't shout at me!"  Otto, still calm: "I am not shouting at you.  Clutch in, and brake.  Brake.  Brake.  Brake."  The car still rolls towards the car parked at the stop sign.  Otto, raising his voice slightly: "The car is stopped.  Don't hit the car.  Brake, brake!"  Finally, Marisol figures out which pedal is the brake and the car jerks to a halt, inches away from the car in front of them.  Marisol takes a shuddering breath: "I suck at this.  I suck.  Oh, my God, I almost hit the car."  Otto: "It doesn't matter.  It's a hybrid."


Otto is standing at the train station with dozens of other people, waiting for the train to come.  Suddenly, a very elderly man falls onto the tracks and is unable to get up.  Otto looks around to see who is going to help the man, but everyone is too busy pulling out their phones and filming the event to do anything about the man's fate.  Otto, disgusted at their inaction and self-absorption, leaps onto the tracks himself.  While dozens of strangers film him, Otto picks the man up off the tracks.  But he finds he can't lift him back onto the platform alone.  He yells at the rest of the passengers: "Will somebody help me?"  Finally, someone bends down to lift the man to safety.  Most don't even look up from their phones.


Otto enters the office of the engineering department and finds that his co-workers have planned a small retirement party for him.  Otto is not pleased.  He looks around at the grinning faces seemingly so eager to see him gone and feels less than celebratory.  Otto looks down at the cake, which features a picture of himself with the caption: Have fun!!!  Otto, sarcastically: "Have fun?  Doing what?"  Young boss, with an overly-wide grin: "Have fun with the rest of your life.  We wanted to, you know..."  Otto: "Celebrate?"  Boss: "Yes...well, no.  Give you a nice send-off."  He can see Otto is disgruntled.  Boss, mildly condescending: "Come on, Otto.  You're the one who decided to leave.  And you did get a nice severance package."  Otto stares back at him angrily: "You took me off Operations.  You cut back on my hours.  You made Terry, who I trained, my supervisor.  Terry...who can barely figure out what year it is without his phone."  He looks at vacuous Terry, who looks barely old enough for college.  Otto, continuing: "So, yes, I took the severance package."  Boss, brightly: "I'm sorry you see it that way.  We all had to adjust after the merger.  But, you've been quite an asset to this company over the years."  Several of the employees chime in with superficial and hollow-sounding compliments that Otto sees through completely.  He looks down at the cake as someone begins to cut into his face.  Man: "Want a piece of your face?"  Otto storms out of the office.  Boss, to the rest: "Who's hungry?"  They all laugh.  (Caution: h-word used)


Wanting to see Otto heal from the loss of his beloved wife, Marisol gently offers to help him pack her things away.  (Otto still has her coats hanging from the rack in the hall.)  Otto, gruffly: "That's not needed."  Marisol: "No, but it can help you move on."  Otto: "I don't wanna move on."  Marisol: "She's always gonna be with you, Otto.  But you're still here."  Otto, getting irritated: "That's enough."  Marisol: "When my father died, my mother, she stopped living."  Otto, yelling in Marisol's face: "Stop talking!"  He mutters under his breath: "Why can't people mind their own business?  Idiots.  Interrupting me at every turn, and the more they babble, the more they drown out the memory of her voice."  He turns back to Marisol, raising his voice: "I don't want to clear Sonya from my life!  She was everything.  There was nothing before her, and there's nothing after!"  Marisol, looking hurt: "I'm something."


Otto and Reuben were neighbors and best friends.  They've known each other for decades, ever since they both moved into the same neighborhood as young newlyweds.  Otto tells Marisol the story of how their friendship dissolved.  Otto, remembering: "We all got along fine, of course, when we first moved in.  Reuben and I were a lot alike.  About most things.  But people change.  Or they don't change.  Things happen.  People drift apart.  They build walls.  They take offense.  Who knows why."  We see a young Reuben proudly showing Otto his brand new Ford.  Otto looks disappointed in his friend.  Later, Otto shows Reuben his Chevy.  The feeling is mutual.  Over the years, the men continue to be die-hard true to their preferred automobile.  Otto sticks to Chevrolets and Reuben buys Fords.  Their relationship deteriorates.  Finally, the day comes when everything comes to a head.  Reuben buys a Toyota.  Otto walks away and doesn't come back.  Otto, recalling: "I don't know what went wrong with Reuben, but that's when I knew I'd lost him.  I mean, a man has to stand up for what he believes in.  Even if it is an F-O-R-D."
