ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

A town built on the marshes, perched on the edge of extinction, is determined to enjoy what time it has left.  Hushpuppy: "The Bathtub has got more holidays than the whole rest of the world."  The whole town gathers for another day of revelry, parading down the street in beat-up cars, yelling and screaming, and drinking liquor straight from the bottle.  People dance to the music of a Cajun band playing out of the back of an old van.  Hushpuppy compares her world to that of the more civilized American society, where they get their food in plastic wrapping and their babies play in carriages and not in the mud.  Hushpuppy and her neighbors know their town will eventually be destroyed by the encroaching water, but plan on partying until the end.  The air is thick with the smoke from fireworks, and even the children are lighting them off.  Hushpuppy points a lighted rocket at her father before turning and shooting it up at the sky.  Even though the town will be destroyed, the people choose to live there: "But me and my daddy, we stay right here.  We's who the earth is for."

Six-year-old Hushpuppy knocks on the door of her father's shack to let him know that breakfast is ready.  Receiving no answer, she looks in the window, seeing nothing.  Hushpuppy wanders around the property for the rest of the day, calling for her father.  When night falls, she lays on her bed, painting with mud on the mattress.  Hushpuppy, thinking to herself: "Kids that got no mama, no daddy and nobody...they gots to live in the woods and eat grass and steal underpants."  The next morning, Hushpuppy goes outside to check on her animals, thinking: "If Daddy don't get back soon, it's gonna be time for me to start eating my pets."  Hushpuppy, wearing underwear and boots, continues looking for her father outside, calling: "Daddy?"  Later, after school, the teacher sees Hushpuppy sitting alone outside the building.  When the teacher offers Hushpuppy food and a ride home, the girl lies, telling her that her daddy is coming to get her.  After the teacher drives away, Hushpuppy begins the lonely trek home by herself.

Hushpuppy watches a spider approaching one of a large group of small caterpillars.  Hushpuppy, thinking aloud: "The whole universe depends on everything fitting together just right."  Somewhere around the world, an avalanche of ice falls into the ocean as Hushpuppy continues thinking aloud: "If one piece busts, even the smallest piece, the entire universe will get busted."  The melting ice begins to float away in the ocean.

With a terrible hurricane almost upon them and most of the town evacuated, Wink and Hushpuppy are holed up in a ramshackle shelter, awaiting the coming storm.  The unconventional father is busy putting a line of duct tape down the center of the shelter, separating his side from the toys and "girl's stuff."  Wink, pointing at a steamer trunk: "Get in the boat!"  Hushpuppy silently complies.  Wink explains his plan: "If the water gets real high, we're gonna float to this roof, we're gonna bust through the ceiling, and we're gonna ride away, okay?"  Hushpuppy, scared, just stares at her father as he puts inflatable water wings on her arms.  Wink: "Don't you never, never take these off.  I'm your daddy, and you're gonna do what I tell you to do, because it's my job to keep you from dying, okay?"  Ordering the young girl to sleep, Wink lays down on the floor.  Hushpuppy, frightened by the loud storm and the rain pouring into the shelter, sits bolt upright.  Taking a swig of liquor, Wink sees that Hushpuppy is scared.  Determined to help her be brave, he takes a rifle and heads out into the storm: "I'm gonna show you.  I'm gonna take care of that storm!  I'm coming to get you storm!"  Hushpuppy watches from inside the shelter as Wink goes out into the pouring rain.  Wink: "Look at me, Hushpuppy!"  He takes a swig from his liquor bottle and starts yelling and firing his rifle into the sky: "I'm gonna get ya!  Yeah!"  The fierce winds start to rattle the shelter and Hushpuppy runs, frightened.  Soaked with water pouring into the shelter, the girl cries out for comfort from the woman who abandoned her, but whom she still longs for: "Mama!"  (Caution: d-word used)

A hurricane has destroyed the small town of Bathtub.  An aerial view shows the tops of houses sticking out from above a lake of muddy water.  Fallen tree branches lie on top of collapsed roofs.  The water laps against porches of caved-in houses surrounded by debris.  All is quiet, except for the sound of the water, and no person is visible.  Finally, the tin roof of a small house half-covered with water is lifted and a man, a girl, and a dog climb out to stand on the roof.  They have survived the storm.

Wink runs toward a bus with Hushpuppy.  She climbs aboard, expecting her father to follow her.  Instead, he tells the driver to find her a good home and closes the door behind her.  Hushpuppy begins screaming and banging on the door.  When the driver starts to pull away, she attacks him, forcing him to stop the bus.  She pushes open the doors and runs back to Wink, yelling: "You're trying to get rid of me!"  Wink, wearing only his hospital gown, kneels before his daughter, telling her bluntly that he's dying and can't care for her anymore.  Hushpuppy glares at him, refusing to believe that her daddy could die.  Wink: "Everybody daddies die."  Hushpuppy, defiantly: "Not my daddy."  Wink: "Yeah, your daddy!"  He stops, looking sadly at his little girl: "I didn't want you to watch that, okay?"  Hushpuppy glares at him, making it clear she has no intention of leaving him.  Wink bends over, overwhelmed by a sudden cough, and spits blood into the grass.

Hushpuppy leads her friends on the trek back home to see her dying father.  She walks quickly, determined to reach him before death (represented by four large beasts) overtakes him.  While the girls march across the fields, the beasts plod steadily on toward Wink's home.  Hushpuppy and the beasts reach her father's house at the same time.  When the other girls spot the terrifying creatures, they run, screaming, toward the house.  But Hushpuppy just grits her teeth and continues marching toward the house, without looking back.  When she catches sight of her father through the window of the house, she stops, staring at him.  The huge beasts are standing right behind her.  She juts out her chin and takes a deep breath, then turns and faces the beasts (symbolically facing her own fear of her father's death).  Wink watches from his deathbed as his tiny daughter stares down the giant, horned creature standing before her.  The beast sniffs her for a minute and then, as if respecting her courage, he bows at her feet.  The beasts leave and Hushpuppy turns to go inside the house.

Hushpuppy is sitting on her father's bed, watching him die.  As silent tears roll down their cheeks, Wink tells her not to cry.  They embrace, and the little girl lays her head on her father's chest.  She listens as his heart stops beating.  Later, she has placed her father's shrouded body on a raft lined with wood.  She lights it on fire and pushes it out to sea.  On the shore, the funeral party recites a poem together: "As I stand by the bayou, I watch a ship as she disappears.  There, she is gone.  And we cry for this.  But she's not gone.  She's just as real as when she left me.  And, somewhere else, other voices are calling out:  'Here she comes.'  And that is dying."  Raising their beers to the sky, they all shout: "Here she comes!"
