ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

After three years as a galley slave, Judah is assigned to Roman Consul Quintus Arrius' flagship. When Judah and Arrius meet… they don't share the warmest of welcomes, ending with Arrius threatening all the galley slaves: "Row well and live!"


After the dying Messala tells Judah his mother and sister are alive in the Valley of the Lepers, Judah goes to the leper colony and encounters Esther and Malluch bringing supplies to Miriam and Tirzah. Esther persuades him to conceal himself as his family would wish. 


Seeking revenge, Judah agrees to drive Sheik Ilderim's horses against Messala in a grand chariot race before the new Judean governor, Pontius Pilate. Pilate takes his seat in the arena as the chariot racers make one lap around the racetrack with uniform precision before they begin the race.

The Nativity story is retold: "In the year of our Lord, Judea for nearly a century had lain under the mastery of Rome. In the seventh year of the reign of Augustus Caesar, an imperial decree ordered every Judean, each to return to his place of birth to be counted and taxed. Converging ways of many of them led to the gates of their capital city, Jerusalem, the troubled heart of their land. The old city was dominated by the fortress of Antonia, the seat of Roman power, and by the great golden temple, the outward sign of an inward and imperishable faith. Even while they obeyed the will of Caesar, the people clung proudly to their ancient heritage, always remembering the promise of their prophets that one day there would be born among them a Redeemer to bring them salvation and perfect freedom."  Mary and Joseph are seen registering; the star of Bethlehem is seen at night by shepherds and wise men as it moves and shines over the manger; shepherds and wise men (offering gifts) visit the Child; a shepherd blows a horn announcing the birth.

In the year 26 A.D., thousands of Roman soldiers enter the city of Nazareth. In a certain carpenter's shop the owner is busy shaving a piece of wood when a customer walks in...  Customer: "You're not watching the soldiers, Joseph?"  Joseph: "We've seen Romans before."  Customer: "Yes. And we will see them again... My table is not finished. Where is your Son?"  Joseph: "He's walking in the hills."  Customer (nodding): "He neglects His work, Joseph."  Joseph: "No. Once, I reproached Him with forgetting His work. He said to me, 'I must be about My Father's business.' "  Customer: "Then why isn't He here, working?"  Joseph: "He's working."  The customer leaves baffled as we see Jesus walking alone in the hills...

Messala returns to Jerusalem to replace the current Roman tribune (Sextus)...  Messala: "I'd forgotten the heat."  Sextus: "If it were only the heat."  Messala: "You know, I lived here until I was 14. Jerusalem was my home. My father was head of..."  Sextus: "Yes, I know. Your father is well-remembered. Fine governor. If there can be such a thing in this forsaken land."  Messala: "If you want to rise, Sextus, do the difficult. I asked to be sent here."  Sextus: "You'll find the people changed since you were a boy."  Messala: "In what way?"  Sextus: "Oh, won't pay their taxes, an irrational resentment of Rome."  Messala: "There's nothing new in all that."  Sextus: "And then there's religion. I tell you, they're drunk with religion. They smash the statues of our gods, even those of the emperor."  Messala: "Punish them!"  Sextus: "We do. When we can find them."  Messala: "Find the leaders."  Sextus: "Oh, you don't know. There's nothing you can put your finger on. I tell you, there are strange forces at work here. For instance, there's this 'messiah' business."  Messala: "I know, I know. There was one predicted when I was a boy."  Sextus: "A king of the Jews, who will lead them into some sort of anti-Roman paradise. Mmm. Makes your head spin. And there's a wild man in the desert named John who drowns people in water. There's a carpenter's Son who goes around doing magic tricks. 'Miracles' they call them."  Messala: "There's always some sort of rabble-rouser going about stirring up trouble."  Sextus: "No, no, no. This man is different. He teaches that God is near, in every man. It's actually quite profound, some of it."

After many years of rising through the ranks of the Roman army, Messala returns to Jerusalem where he grew up as its new tribune and reconnects with his best friend Judah Ben-Hur (now a very wealthy Jew). Upon seeing each other in the armory, the two men practically run to each other and embrace warmly...  Messala: "I said I'd come back."  Judah: "I never thought you would. I'm so glad."  Both men laugh...  Messala: "Look at you."  Judah: "Look at you! You've come back a tribune. When I heard that news, I drank a toast to you."  Messala: "We'll drink another now. Your sister and mother -- how are they?"  Judah: "They're fine. They've talked of nothing but you for days, ever since we knew you were coming."  Messala: "Is Tirzah married yet?"  Judah: "No. Suitors come and go, but she dreams. You know she's been in love with you ever since she was five years old."  Messala: "I can't wait to see them...Do you still hunt jackals and lions? Or have you become too dignified (laughter)?"  Messala then throws Judah a spear and takes one himself and points to a beam over the doorway: "Where the beams cross?"  Judah nods as Messala takes aim and drives the spear into the beam -- followed by a near perfect throw by Judah.   Messala (laughing): "After all these years! Still close."  Judah: "In every way."  Messala: "I hope so."  Judah: "I know. You're a Roman, and I'm a Jew...whose life you once saved."  Messala: "The best thing I ever did."

Messala (Jerusalem's new Roman tribune) visits the home of his childhood friend, Judah Ben-Hur. After pleasantries with Judah's mother and sister, Judah shows his friend a beautiful white horse...  Judah: "What do you think of it?"  Messala: "Magnificent! It's Arabic."  Judah: "I think he has the look of the breed. I've raised him."  Messala: "Let me try him sometime."  Judah: "Whenever you like. He's yours."  Messala: "Do you mean you'll give me this? Oh, Judah. You are good. It's going to be like old times, I know it...Judah, tell me, did you think about what I said yesterday?"  Judah: "Yes. Talked to a number of people already. Spoken against violence, against incidents. Most of the men I talked to agree with me.  Messala: "Most? Not all?"  Judah (chuckles): "No, not all."  Messala: "Who does not agree?"  Judah: "Eh...the resentful, the impatient."  Messala: "Who are they? Yes, Judah. Who are they?"  Judah (shocked): "Would I retain your friendship if I became an informer?"  Messala: "To tell me the names of criminals is hardly informing."  Judah: "They're not criminals... They're patriots like you..."  Messala: "Patriots? Patriots?! ...(Calming down) Let me explain something to you. Something you may not know. The emperor is watching us. At this moment, he watches the East. This is my great opportunity, and yours too. If I can bring order into Judea, I can have any post I want. And you'll rise with me, I promise. And do you know where it can end? Rome! Yes, perhaps at the side of Caesar himself. I mean it! It can happen and this is the moment, I swear, this is the time. The emperor is watching us, judging us. All I need do is serve him. And all you need do is help me serve him."  Judah: "You speak as if he were God."  Messala: "He is God. The only God. He is power, real power on earth. Not (pointing up)...not that. Help me..."  Judah: "I would do anything for you, except betray my own people."  Messala (disgusted): "In the name of all the gods, what do the lives of a few Jews mean to you?"  Judah: "If I cannot persuade them, that does not mean I would help you murder them. Besides, you must understand this. I believe in the past of my people and in their future."  Messala: "Future? You are a conquered people."  Judah: "You may conquer the land. You may slaughter the people. But that is not the end. We will rise again."  Messala: "Ah, you live on dead dreams. You live on the myths of the past. The glory of Solomon is gone. Do you think it will return? Joshua will not rise again to save you nor David. There is only one reality in the world today. Look to the West. Don't be a fool! Look to Rome!"  Judah: "I would rather be a fool than a traitor or a killer."  Messala: "I am a soldier..."  Judah: "Yes, who kills for Rome and Rome is evil..."  Messala: "I warn you..."  Judah: "No! I warn you. Rome is an affront to God. Rome is strangling my people and my country, the whole earth! But not forever. And I tell you, the day Rome falls there will be a shout of freedom such as the world has never heard before."  Messala: "Either you help me or you oppose me. You have no other choice. You're either for me or against me."  Judah: "If that is the choice, then I am against you."  At this, Messala angrily walks away.

Judah and Tirzah watch the new Roman governor's arrival from their balcony. Unfortunately, when Tirzah leans against the roofline, tillings fall to the street causing the governor to be injured when he is thrown from his horse. Roman soldiers immediately storm the Ben-Hur estate and arrest Judah, Tirzah and their mother -- while Messala (Judah's lifelong friend and new military tribune) says nothing -- even at his close friend's pleading that it was an accident. Alone, Messala investigates the rooftop and accidentally breaks off more tiles himself; realizing it truly was an accident.

After the Ben-Hur family is arrested for accidentally injuring the Roman governor, soldiers come to Judah's cell to escort him to the slave galleys of a ship when he breaks free (killing several soldiers). He finds and threatens Messala with a spear...  Judah: "Where are my mother and sister? Where are they?"  Messala: "Here, within these walls. The governor is recovering. They won't die. Of course they will be sentenced."  Judah: "Is it possible you could do this to us? To people you've known? A family you've loved? You will let them go. You must. You will gladly let them go! I didn't try to kill the governor, you know that. I'm not mad, I'm not a murderer!"  Messala: "I know you're not."  Judah: "You know? You are evil."  Messala: "No, I am not evil. I wanted your help. Now you've given it to me. By making this example of you, I discourage treason. By condemning without hesitation an old friend, I shall be feared."  Judah: "But not my family. Let them go. Please (weeps). I beg you..."  Messala: "Beg?! Didn't I beg you (to turn his friends in)? You choose this for yourself. There's nothing more to be said."  Judah yells and grabs a spear...  Messala: "Kill me, and your mother and sister will die today -- nailed on crosses in front of you! Go on, kill me!"  Judah sticks the spear on the wall behind his enemy as guards enter to drag him away.  Judah: "May God grant me vengeance. I will pray that you live till I return."  Messala: "Return? Take him."

After being chained with other prisoners and marched through a desert, Judah is allowed to rest at a small town called Nazareth as the soldiers and horses are given water. A mysterious carpenter watches from His shop as the parched prisoners are finally given drinks by village women. Judah is about to drink his when a soldier takes it away: "No water for him!"  Judah crumples to the ground: "God...help me..."  The carpenter's sandals appear as He rubs water on Judah's head and helps him take a drink (while gently running his fingers through the prisoner's hair).  Soldier: "You! I said no water for him!"  The soldier approaches the carpenter (whom we only see from the back) with his whip, but suddenly stops as their eyes meet -- causing the Roman to look down and turn away. As the prisoners are led away, Judah can't help but stare back at the stranger...

Judah is imprisoned on a Roman ship, sentenced to row below deck in the galley with other condemned men. The ship's commander wants to break Judah's spirit by cruelly having the prisoners row faster: "Battle speed!"  Men begin to weaken...  "Attack speed!"  Several men begin to faint...  "Ramming speed!"  Men begin to drop like flies while being whipped -- Judah, however, continues to work hard in defiance -- staring at his tormenter. The commander finally calls for rest as he smirks at Judah before walking away.

Judah (an innocent prisoner on a Roman war ship) is called to the commander's quarters but finds the captain sleeping (a cruel man who recently tormented the prisoners).  Startled, the commander suddenly awakens: "Why are you here?"  Judah: "I was ordered to report to you during my relief."  Commander: "Oh, yes. I'd forgotten. You could have killed me as I lay there. You're a condemned man. Why didn't you?"  Judah: "I'm not ready to die."  Commander: "What do you think will save you?"  Judah: "The God of my fathers."  Commander: "Your God has forsaken you. He has no more power than the images I pray to. My gods will not help me. Your God will not help you. I might. Does that interest you, 41? I can see that it does."  The commander offers Judah the chance to be trained as a gladiator.   Judah: "To die as your slave?"  Commander: "Better than to live in chains below these decks."  Judah: "I will not be here forever."  Commander: "No? What would you do if you escaped?"  Judah: "Two people were condemned with me, my mother and sister, even though they were innocent. I will not rest..."  Commander: "You do not say that you were innocent."  Judah: "Would it do any good to say it again?"  Commander: "No. Consider my offer carefully. You will never escape while we are victorious. If we are not, you will sink with this ship, chained to your oar."  Judah: "I cannot believe that God has let me live these three years to die chained to an oar."  Commander: "It's a strange, stubborn faith you keep, to believe that existence has a purpose. A sane man would have learned to lose it long before this."  Judah: "As you have. What drove it out of you?"  Commander (angrily): "Go back to your oar, 41."

After being attacked and having their ship sunk by the enemy at sea, Judah (an innocent prisoner) saves the life of Quintus (the ship's commander) -- pulling him onto some wreckage. The next morning, Quintus awakes disappointed that Judah did not let him die (since he lost the battle)...  Quintus: "Why did you save me?"  Judah: "Why did you have me unchained?"  Quintus still struggles to kill himself, but is restrained by Judah.  Quintus: "What is your name, 41?"  Judah: "Judah Ben-Hur."  Quintus: "...let me die."  Judah: "We keep you alive to serve this ship. Row well and live."  Judah then sees a ship in the distance.  ...Quintus: "Better for us both if it's the enemy. My death. Your freedom."  Judah: "It's a Roman sail."  Judah flags down the ship and they board...  Soldier: "Welcome, consul. We had given up all hope for you. Water!"  Quintus: "The fleet, all lost?"  Soldier: "Five galleys."  Quintus: "And the battle?"  Soldier: "The battle was won. You have a victory!"  Quintus: "It was a victory?"  Quintus excitedly grabs the soldier, but then turns and looks at Judah -- realizing he would have killed himself needlessly if not for the prisoner.  Quintus (to Judah): "In His eagerness to save you, your God has also saved the Roman fleet."  A soldier comes and offers Quintus water -- who almost drinks -- but stops and gives it first to Judah (in the next few scenes, Quintus brings Judah before Caesar and eventually adopts him as a son).

After stopping Quintus from committing suicide (due to the Roman commander's belief that he had lost a naval battle, which in fact, he had won -- giving him great honor before Caesar), Judah is taken to Rome to live with his new master. Months later at a party in Judah's honor, Quintus quiets the crowd: "Not long ago, I returned to Rome with a young man who had saved my life. You all know him as the finest charioteer in Rome. Five times, he's driven my horses to victory. I know him as one who stands in the place of the son I lost. I have the love and pride in a son's achievements, which I thought I should never have again. (Reaches for Judah to join him) Nothing could make stronger the bond between us, but tonight I wish to share it with you all. The formalities of adoption have been completed. Young Arrius is now the legal bearer of my name, and the heir to my property. This ring of my ancestors...would have gone to my son. So now it is yours."  The people applaud as Judah places the ring on his finger.  Judah: "It's a strange destiny that brought me to a new life, a new home, a new father. It brought me here. It may take me away. But wherever I may be, I shall always try to wear this ring as a son of Arrius should. With gratitude and affection and with honor."

On his way to Jerusalem, Judah is invited into the tent of Sheik Ilderim who wants help with his chariot race horses...  Sheik: "When they race at Jerusalem, they will challenge the finest teams in the world, not to mention the champion of the East, the tribune Messala (Judah's arch enemy), with his black devils. He stops at nothing to win."  Judah: "Messala? In the circus?"  Sheik: "Yes. You knew him?"  Judah: "I know him."  Sheik: "Perhaps without much liking. ...My people are praying for a man who can drive their team to victory over Messala. You could be that man, you could be the one to stamp this Roman's arrogance into the sand in that arena. You've seen my horses. They need only a driver who is worthy of them -- one who will rule them with love and not the whip. For such a man they would outrace the wind!"  Judah: "It's not possible."  Sheik: "That is a pity...But think of it. To break his pride, to humble this tribune before the very people he has degraded. Just think, his defeat and humiliation at the hands of a Jew! ...Does it not delight your imagination? Does it not answer your purpose?"  Judah: "I must deal with Messala in my own way."  Balthasar (an elderly man in the tent): "And your way is to kill him. I see this terrible thing in your eyes... But no matter what this man has done to you, you have no right to take his life. He will be punished inevitably."  Judah: "I don't believe in miracles."  Balthasar: "But all life is a miracle. Why will you not accept God's judgment? You do not believe in miracles. Yet God once spoke to me out of the darkness and a star led me to a village called Bethlehem, where I found a newborn child in a manger. And God lived in this child. By now, He is a grown man and must be ready to begin His work. And that is why I have returned here, so that I may be at hand when He comes among us. ...Perhaps He is a shepherd, a merchant, a fisherman. But He lives, and all our lives from now on will carry His mark. There are many paths to God, my son. I hope yours will not be too difficult."

With only three laps to go (in this classic chariot race scene!), Judah and his arch-enemy Messala (who unjustly condemned his friend to row oars for three years on a ship galley and nearly murdered his family) are tied for the lead. As they come around a corner, Messala begins to cheat and utilize the wheels on his "Greek Chariot (sharp spinning blades protruding from the axels)." The blades chew into Judah's chariot as he quickly tries to pull away. With two laps to go, Judah holds steady causing Messala to panic -- and instead of whipping the horses -- the Roman begins whipping Judah. As Judah fights of his attacker, the wheels of the two chariots become interlocked, eventually causing one of Messala's wheels to come off. Messala crashes to the ground (while still holding the reins) and is drug along the arena floor until he is finally trampled by another team of horses. (Caution: intense scene).

(Side 2)  Distraught and angry (after recently learning that his mother and sister are indeed alive but have leprosy), Judah is walking back toward the city with Esther when they come upon a large crowd gathering on a hillside...  Balthasar (who sees his old friend):"Judah! He is here. I have found Him. The child has become a man. And the man, I know it now, is the Son of God. The promise is true."   Judah:"Happy Balthasar. Life has answered you, has it."   Balthasar:"Life has BEEN answered. God has answered it. Come. Come with me."   Judah:"When the Romans were marching me to the galleys, thirst had nearly killed me. A man gave me water to drink (Jesus). I went on living. I should have done better if I had poured it into the sand.   Balthasar:"No."   Judah:"I'm thirsty still."   Balthasar:"Come and listen."   Judah:"I have business with Rome."   Balthasar:"You insist on death. Goodbye, Judah."   Judah walks away as Balthasar and Esther join the crowd to hear Jesus. The crowd quiets as Jesus is about to speak -- but He seems to hesitate as he looks in the distance once again toward Judah who has chosen to walk away.

(Side 2)  In a amazing act of love, Judah and Esther risk their lives and enter the leper colony to remove Miriam and Tirzah...   Miriam:"No further! What are you doing here?"   Esther:"I was here last evening waiting for you. I've waited all night. What has happened? Where's Tirzah?"   Miriam:"Leave the food."   Esther:"I'm coming closer. Don't be afraid."  Miriam:"What are you doing?"   Esther:"Don't be afraid. I've heard Him again, the man from Nazareth. If ever words were from God, they are in everything He says. I cannot bear that you should have never known this hand of quiet reaching towards us. He is going to Jerusalem. We can find Him there. Bring Tirzah and we can go together to find Him."   Miriam (shaking her head):"Tirzah is dying. Leave the food and go!"   Judah approaches.  Miriam:"It's Judah! Why did you tell him? ...No nearer, please, God, no nearer (sobbing and starting to run away)!"   Judah:"Mother. Wait, Mother, wait. Let me talk with you. ...Mother, let me see Tirzah."   Esther:"Tirzah is dying. (Comforting him) Judah, if they would see Jesus of Nazareth they will know that life is everlasting, and death is nothing to fear if you have faith. I will take them to Him."  Even though she protests greatly, Esther approaches Miriam and wraps her arms around her. Moved by Esther's compassion, Judah walks over to his mother, as well:"Where's Tirzah?"   Miriam:"Judah, no. You must not go to her, dear son."  Judah takes his mother's hand and strokes her head gently, then turns and journeys deep into the cave to find his sister. Esther leads Miriam out of the darkness. After searching several diseased bodies, Judah finally finds Tirzah, scoops her up in his arms and carries her out into the light.

Jesus carries His cross through the Jerusalem crowd (on his way to be crucified) as Judah, Esther, and the leprosy stricken Miriam and Tirzah, wait along the road and hope for a miracle. Judah recognizes Jesus as the man who gave him a drink when dying of thirst as a prisoner years earlier. Jesus falls to the ground and is beaten. He then takes up His cross and continues along the road as Judah follows. When Jesus stumbles again (and Simon takes the burden of the cross), Judah takes advantage of the opportunity and offers Christ a drink.

(Side 2)  Jesus' feet are finished being nailed to the cross. He is then lifted and dropped into the ground with a thud. As a large crowd gathers, Judah approaches his friend Balthasar (one of the original wise men):"This is were your search has brought you, Balthasar. He gave me water and a heart to live. What has He done to merit this?"   Balthasar:"He has taken the world of our sins onto Himself. To this end He said He was born...in that stable...where I first saw Him. For this cause, He came into the world."   Judah:"For this death?"   Balthasar:"This beginning."

(Side 2)  As Jesus is about to die on the cross a distance away, Esther, and the lepers Miriam and Tirzah, seek shelter in a cave (thunder cracks and the sky grows dark)...   Miriam:"As though He were carrying in that cross, the pain of the world."   Tirzah:"So fearful...and yet why is it...I'm not afraid anymore?"   Esther:"The shadow of a storm."   Miriam:"A strange darkness, but still day. (Thunder rumbles) His life is over."  The storm picks up as pools of blood are shown at the foot of the cross.   Tirzah:"This tearing! I'm in pain!"   Miriam:"I feel it too (lightening illuminates the cave briefly revealing the women's diseased faces)."   Lightening strikes and brings down a tree as rain begins to pour. The body of Jesus is shown hanging in the raging storm. Lightening illuminates the cave again -- this time revealing a miracle in the bodies of the two lepers -- who are now completely healed! Blood and water continue to stream from the foot of the cross...

(Side 2)  After witnessing Jesus' death on the cross, Judah (a man determined to take vengeance on the Roman empire for the personal pain it's caused) returns home and finds Esther waiting...   Judah:"Almost at the moment He died, I heard Him say, 'Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.' "   Esther:"Even then."   Judah:"Even then. And I felt His voice take the sword out of my hand."  Judah then notices his leprosy stricken mother and sister coming down the stairway -- completely healed.

After trying to cheat but then falling in defeat during the chariot race (being dragged and trampled by horses), Messala gives Judah his last words and reveals that his family is still alive in the Valley of the Lepers.
