ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

A narrator describes the "Big Year," the pilgrimage of serious bird watchers to see as many species as possible in a single year.  A birding magazine cover highlights Kenny Bostick, the current North American record holder, whose 732 bird sightings awed the birding world.  Now, however, Kenny is preparing to leave for another Big Year, worried that someone will beat his coveted record.  Kenny's wife, Jessica, follows him around the house as he frantically prepares for his departure.  Jessica: "Kenny, you promised me you were never gonna do another Big Year."  Kenny tells her that he's just going to make sure no one is in line to beat his record.  Jessica doesn't understand why the record is so important to Kenny: "Didn't you tell me that a Big Year killed your marriage to Steph in '03?"  Kenny, still packing: "First of all, I was married to Bridget in '03..."  Kenny admits that his year-long absence was a factor in his divorce, but not the main problem.  Jessica, desperate, reminds Kenny that she is having fertility treatments in the hopes that they can start a family.  Kenny brushes that aside, believing that the current bird-friendly weather situation outranks starting a family.

Brad and his parents are seated at the dinner table when Brad nervously announces to his father that he is planning a Big Year (devoting an entire year to seeing as many species of birds as possible).  His mother, who supports the idea, glances in trepidation at her husband, silently willing him to encourage their son in his lifelong dream.  Raymond, however, chooses to mock him instead.  His sarcastic words aren't a surprise to Brad, but they hurt.  Raymond, his voiced raised in disdain: "You're 36 years old!  You quit grad school.  You quit your job at Dell.  You quit your marriage.  Sooner or later, you're going to have to actually do something with your life!"  Brad, yelling: "This is what I'm doing!  But I guess you got it all figured out?  That's why your whole life has been nothin' but bliss."  Brad throws down his napkin and leaves.

Kenny is trying to beat Stu in a competition to see the most birds in a single year.  Seeing that Stu is suffering from seasickness on their ferry ride, Kenny decides to use it to his advantage to distract Stu from the goal.  He approaches Stu as he's taking his medication and feigns sympathy.  Stu holds up the pills: "These usually help."  Kenny: "Yeah.  Some people say they're just a placebo."  He shrugs and laughs: "Who knows?"  Kenny draws Stu's attention to the chum being thrown into the water next to them: "Here we go.  Cod liver oil.  Attracts birds like honey, but smells like fried cat puke."  He pats Stu on the back: "Sorry.  I shouldn't have said puke."  Stu lifts his binoculars to his eyes to watch the birds.  Kenny: "You want to be careful with those binocs, 'cause once you lose sight of that horizon, you can get lost, and then you're done for.  'Cause all you feel is the pitching and tossing."  Kenny, timing his words to the rocking of the boat: "Pitching and tossing.  Pitching and tossing."  Stu waves a hand to stop him, bile rising up in his throat.  Next to the two, men are slicing fish heads to throw to the birds.  Kenny, yelling to the ferry occupants: "Hey...anybody up for some fish head sushi?"  Stu turns around, staring at the fish heads with a sick expression.  He looks back at Kenny.  Kenny: "Mmm.  Pitching and tossing.  Pitching and tossing.  Pitching and tossing."  Too late, Stu is now aware of Kenny's nefarious motives.  He leans over the railing and loses his lunch.

Kenny and Fuchs are serious birdwatchers, competing in the most prestigious birding contest in North America.  Driving furiously toward a sighting, Kenny has been so focused on the goal that he has neglected his rest.  He falls asleep momentarily, dreaming of a snowy owl.  He awakens abruptly at the sound of a semi-truck blaring its horn.  Kenny swerves to avoid the oncoming disaster and crashes into a tree.  He climbs out of the window of his crushed car and sees that the large tree missed him by mere inches.  Suddenly, his head snaps up.  He hears the sound of a woodpecker.  Fuchs calls from inside the car: "I think I broke my arm."  Kenny: "Shhh.  Shut up."  He walks into the woods, his eyes scanning the trees.  Fuchs follows, bringing his camera, his useless arm dangling.  They stop at a tree and gaze in wonder at a rare species of woodpecker.  Narrator: "In birding terms, what Bostick and Fuchs saw that day was nothing short of a miracle."  Fuchs, his mouth open in awe: "Unbelievable.  It's the rarest bird I've ever seen.  It's like we were meant to crash here."  Kenny: "We were."  Fuchs uses his one good arm to lift his large camera and snap a shot.  Kenny turns to Fuchs: "All of a sudden your arm doesn't feel so broke, does it?"  Fuchs considers his loss well worth the result: "You could chop my arm off."

Brad and Stu are new friends getting to know each other over dinner.  Brad decides to open up about the emptiness he feels in his current life: "I mean, I'm 36.  I'm divorced.  I have a job I hate.  I just want to do something big, you know?  Make my mark.  My dad doesn't get it.  He's had the same boring job for forty years."  Brad, mimicking his father's voice: "'That's what people do,' he says."  Stu: "He's right.  Most people just stay on the beaten path.  Then, one day, they wake up and realize they didn't do everything they wanted to do."

Stu has just rushed to New York to meet his first grandchild.  His son greets him at the door of his apartment with a huge smile on his face.  Stu asks the baby's name and is speechless with emotion when told the baby was named after him.  Stu eagerly reaches for his tiny grandson, holding him so he can look him in the eye.  Stu: "Stu...Stu...how ya doin'?"  Stu's son snaps photos while Stu chats happily with his namesake.  Stu's wife watches the scene tenderly, smiling at her husband with tears in her eyes.

Brad is visiting his father, Raymond, in the hospital (Raymond has just had a mild heart attack).  He pulls out his camera and begins showing his father pictures from his birding expedition.  Brad stops at a picture of a small, unexceptional brown bird, telling his father that it's his favorite.  Raymond, unimpressed: "That's your favorite bird?  It's gray."  Brad: "A lot of people wouldn't think twice to look at this bird, but this Golden Plover's one of the greatest travelers of the world."  The small bird flies hundreds of thousands of miles in its lifetime, flying from the Arctic to Argentina and back again in a single year.  Brad: "This gray bird...seen some amazing things.  That's the bird that everybody underestimates."

Kenny and Jessica are trying to have a baby.  Their much anticipated appointment at the fertility clinic has finally arrived, and Jessica is there on schedule.  Kenny, who has been away for a year-long birding contest, is flying into the city just to come to the appointment.  At the clinic, Jessica is initially confident that Kenny will arrive on time and reassures the doctors that he will come.  Meanwhile, Kenny is at the airport, running toward his car.  His flight has just arrived, and he is on his way to the clinic.  Later, at the clinic, the nurse questions Jessica: "Your husband does know today's the day?"  Jessica, feigning confidence: "Oh...yeah.  Yeah."  Back on the road, Kenny's tires squeal as he races to the clinic.  Still later, Jessica sits in the appointment room alone, trying to calm her rising emotions.  The nurse informs her that the doctor is ready, but they are unable to proceed without Kenny.  Jessica begs them to wait for five more minutes.  At that moment, Kenny arrives at the front door of the clinic.  His phone rings and a fellow birder tells him of a rare bird sighting in another state.  After a moment of indecision, Kenny calls his wife and lies, telling her that his flight has been grounded.  He goes back to the airport to catch a flight and see the rare bird.

Jessica is furious with her husband Kenny for missing their fertility appointment to see a rare bird.  (Kenny is in a competition to see the most species of birds in a single year.  He is the current record holder.)  Kenny tries to convince her that he cares about their marriage, but his actions prove otherwise.  Testing his priorities, Jessica asks him if he is willing to miss his next flight to stay home and be with her.  Kenny: "I have to go to Arizona."  Jessica, shaking her head: "Why?"  Kenny tells her that another man is vying for his title: "If I don't get out there, people could say he's the greatest birder of all time.  And he's not!  This is what I'm great at.  This is what I'll be remembered for.  No one remembers who comes in second."  Jessica, feeling the irony of being second place to a bird: "I know.  I know."

Stu and Brad have been waiting to hear the results of the birding contest that has consumed much of their previous year.  When Stu informs Brad that they have been beaten out by their rival, Kenny, Brad is initially disappointed.  But, when he thinks about all the blessings he gained from the life experience itself, he encourages Stu: "Really...we won."  Stu: "What do you mean?"  Brad: "We won, Stu.  I don't know how else to put it.  I mean, he got more birds, but we got more...everything.  Do you know what I mean?"  Brad smiles at his new girlfriend, whom he met on the journey.  (Brad and Stu, now best friends, also met during the competition.)  Stu, who learned during the year how important his family is to him, looks at his wife and smiles: "Yeah, I do."  (Caution: b-word used)
