ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

It is the Day of the Dead and Carlos calls his son, Manolo, to the graveyard to honor his dead mother, Carmen.  All over the graveyard, the tombs are decorated with lit candles, flowers, mementos, and food.  Citizens from all over town are gathered at the gravesites of their departed loved ones in hopes that their souls will visit the land of the living.  Manolo, wistfully: "You think she'll come back tonight?"  Grandma, emphatically: "Carmen is here!"  Carlos: "But...it's more like a warm feeling you get when loved ones are with you."  Carlos lifts an arm to point out all of the other families gathered in the graveyard.  As Manolo looks at each grave, luminous figures appear beside the mourners, smiling on their Earth-bound loved ones.  Carlos: "All these families have lost someone, but as long as we remember them, we can feel their presence with us for one night each year."  Manolo, looking sorrowful, expresses his longing to see his mother again: "I miss her so much."  Carlos, looking at the rows of flickering candles blown by a sudden whisper of air: "Just be still, and you can feel it.  Your mother is here, along with all our ancestors.  As long as we remember them, they are with us.  The moment we forget them, they are truly gone."  Suddenly, Carmen appears in spirit, her hands resting lovingly on her son's head.  Manolo smiles: "I can feel them."

Manolo and his Mariachi band are performing in the town square when Carlos arrives, breaking up the party.  The irate father drags Manolo away by his ear, taking him home to get him ready for his first bullfight.  Carlos, throwing Manolo's guitar into the corner and handing him a sword: "You live under my roof, you live under my rules!  You will be a matador!"  Manolo, protesting: "Papa, this is my life!"  Carlos points to the pictures of Sanchez ancestors adorning the walls of the house: "All the Sanchezes are bullfighters!  Every single one of us."  Carlos takes his son by the shoulders: "It's in your blood.  It's your destiny."  Angrily, Manolo pushes him away: "This is not me.  This is you."  He picks up his guitar from the floor.  Manolo again tells his father that he feels bullfighting is wrong.  Grandmother sighs: "Ay, kids today with their long hair and their no killing stuff."  Manolo turns to leave, but Carlos calls him back, laying guilt heavily on his young shoulders: "Don't dishonor our name."  Manolo hangs his head and leaves for the bullring.

Maria's father is having a dinner in honor of her return to the town.  While the guests eat, Maria gets reacquainted with her childhood friend, Joaquin.  Joaquin asks Maria how she enjoyed Rome, but only listens to her response with half an ear.  Her enjoyment of books, art, and learning hold little interest for the soldier.  He quickly changes the subject: "You sound like you've learned so much, Maria.  I'm sure, one day, you are going to make a man very, very, very happy."  Maria: "Oh, is that so?"  Joaquin, completely missing the rising heat behind Maria's question: "Well, yes.  Behind every man with an amazing moustache is a beautiful woman."  Maria, offended, gasps.  But she quickly adopts a warm tone, hoping to lure Joaquin into revealing his true feelings: "Oh, yes, and I'll cook and clean for him and be at his beck and call."  She looks up at Joaquin with adoring eyes.  Joaquin is mesmerized, seeing that she is the woman of his dreams: "That sounds so good.  That just sounds so good.  And you sound...you're so pretty."  Furious, Maria crosses her arms over her chest: "Are you kidding me?  Is that how you see a woman?"  Joaquin laughs nervously, confused by the sudden change in her demeanor.  Maria: "We're only here to make men happy?"  Chuckling, the other men around the table nod their heads, answering Maria's question: "Yeah."  Disgusted, Maria excuses herself from the table, seeking more civilized companionship in her pet pig.

A snake bites Manolo on the leg, sending him to his death.  The narrator of his story pauses to comfort the children disturbed by Manolo's fate: "Oh, my sweet child, this is not the end."  Manolo, whose body has been transformed from one of flesh to one of bones, awakens in the afterlife.  Dazedly, he looks around, and a smile lights up his face as he sees his new surroundings.  A beautiful city, decorated with all the colors of the rainbow, lies before him.  Huge skull-shaped balloons float in the sky and there is a feeling of a fiesta hanging in the air.  A skeleton hops out of one of the balloons, greeting Manolo: "Welcome to the Land of the Remembered!"  Pulling out a list, the skeleton searches for Manolo's name in his roster of newly-deceased.  Finding it, the skeleton pulls Manolo onto the back of his skeleton horse to go find his family.  Narrator: "The Land of the Remembered was vibrant and joyous!  Everything was like the land above...but, it was more colorful, it was more beautiful, it was more festive!"  As they gallop through the city, Manolo has a chance to see what his new home looks like, and it does look like a huge party, complete with balloons, streamers, and happy skeleton-people.

Grandfather, Manolo, and Carmen have travelled far across the land of the dead to find the Cave of Souls.  They have finally reached their destination.  Grandfather runs quickly toward a gigantic stone figure, but is stopped by a barrier that suddenly appears in his path.  A booming voice calls from the stone figure: "You are not worthy!"  Suddenly, more barriers appear, cutting Manolo off from his mother and grandfather.  The voice addresses Manolo: "Face the labyrinth and earn the right to be judged!"  Manolo finds himself inside a towering maze, where three huge boulders roll around, trying to crush him.  With courage and perseverance, Manolo succeeds in beating the labyrinth.  The stone figure announces: "You have earned the right to be judged!  But, be warned, no mortal has ever passed."  Manolo stands bravely as the figure rises to its full height, brandishing an immense sword in its hand.  The figure brings the sword crashing down on top of Manolo.  The man doesn't flinch, and the sword is broken to bits around him.  Figure: "Manolo Sanchez, your heart is pure and courageous.  You and yours may enter."  A large stone staircase appears in the mouth of the figure.

Manolo is in the ring with the largest bull he has ever faced.  Having agreed to defeat the supernatural creature in a bargain with the underworld, Manolo now looks on the bull with pity and remorse.  Knocked unconscious, the beast would now be easy prey, but Manolo hesitates as he reaches for his sword.  Grabbing his guitar instead, Manolo faces the now awake and furious creature.  He begins to strum a sweet and yet melancholy tune.  The bull, still breathing fire angrily, listens as Manolo sings his regret for his profession.  Manolo: ♪ "You've suffered great injustice, so have thousands before you.  I offer an apology, and one long overdue." ♪ The bull stops in the middle of a charge to stand directly in front of Manolo.  Manolo now sings right in the face of the fiery beast: ♪ "I am sorry.  Toro, I am sorry.  Hear my song, and know I sing the truth.  Although we were bred to fight, I reach for kindness in your heart tonight." ♪ The bull lifts a flaming leg to crush Manolo, but lets it drop harmlessly at Manolo's side.  Manolo, dropping to one knee in supplication and humility: ♪ "And if you can forgive, and if you can forgive, love can truly live." ♪ The great beast sighs, lying down on the ground.  The fire dies out of its heart and he closes his eyes.  Manolo places a hand on the creature and it disintegrates, turning into thousands of rose petals.

The evil Chakal has come to destroy the town, but he has found his plans foiled by the courage of Manolo and Joaquin.  Furious, the villain lights the fuses of the bombs strapped to his chest, growling: "I'm taking this whole town with me!"  Manolo puts his hand on his friend's shoulder: "No retreat!"  Joaquin, with an answering embrace: "No surrender!"  Yelling, the two run towards Chakal, pushing him under a large bell.  They work together to try to trap Chakal inside the bell, but Manolo realizes someone must hold him inside.  Pushing Joaquin out of the way, Manolo smiles at Maria: "Don't forget me."  Before Joaquin can reach him, Manolo kicks the bell on top of himself and Chakal.  Maria screams as an explosion is heard inside.  Suddenly, the townspeople give a collective gasp as Manolo stands up, still alive.  Manolo sees that he has been protected by Joaquin's medal of eternal life, which his friend had secretly put on his back.  Manolo, stunned and grateful, looks at Joaquin: "You were going to sacrifice yourself...for me?"  Joaquin: "I thought it might be time to be a true hero...like you, Manolo."  Narrator: "And so, Joaquin learned that to be a true hero...you have to be selfless."
