ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

As images of snow-covered mountains and cool rivers flash by, Merida narrates: "Some say our destiny is tied to the land, as much a part of us as we are of it.  Others say our fate is woven together like a cloth, so that one's destiny intertwines with many others."  Ancient carved stones mark the site where men of old sought to know their destiny by supernatural means.  "It's the one thing we search for or fight to change.  Some never find it.  But there are some who are led."

Princess Merida enters the great hall of the castle, chomping on an apple.  Receiving the disapproving glance of her mother, the queen, Merida thinks resentfully to herself: "I'm the princess.  I'm the example.  I've got duties, responsibilities, expectations.  My whole life is planned out.  Preparing for the day I become...well...my mother.  She's in charge of every single day of my life."  Merida sighs heavily, plopping down on her throne, chin in hand.  Elinor raises her eyebrows at her daughter reprovingly.  As Merida goes through her day, she receives reproofs, reprimands, correction, and teaching with eye rolls and heavy sighs.  Her mother, attempting to mold her into the perfect princess, fills her days with lessons on everything from geography to elocution.  Merida receives her lessons with a distracted air of boredom, silently rebelling against the future already decided for her.  She feels her every action criticized.  Elinor, monitoring Merida's various activities: "A princess does not chortle.  Doesn't stuff her gob.  Rises early.  Is compassionate, patient, cautious, clean.  And, above all, a princess strives for...well, perfection."

Fergus encounters his wife muttering to herself while sewing.  Knowing she is wrestling with their teen daughter's rebellion, he offers to help her decide how best to communicate to their daughter by engaging in a role play.  Adopting a falsetto tone and dramatic gestures, he pretends to be Merida, encouraging Elinor to speak to him as if he were their daughter.  Taking a deep breath, Elinor complies, telling "Merida" she feels she is throwing away everything her parents have done for her.  Across the courtyard, in the stables, Merida is having her own imaginary conversation with her mother, trying to explain why she doesn't feel ready for marriage.  The two carry on their conversation as if they were in the same room together, each striving to make the other understand.  Elinor: "If you could just try to see what I do, I do out of love."  Merida: "But it's my life."  Elinor: "I think you'd see, if you could just..."  Merida: "I think I could make you understand, if you would just..."  Both, together: "Listen."

Lord Dingwall, Lord MacGuffin, and Lord Macintosh have arrived at the castle to present their eldest sons as suitors for the hand of the princess Merida.  Marching into the throne room accompanied by the strongest of their armies, the three lords immediately begin competing for their sons to be seen as the strongest of the land.  Lord Macintosh announces his son: "I present my heir and scion, who defended our land from the northern invaders, and, with his own sword, Stab Blooder, vanquished 1,000 foes."  The boy struts for the audience, waving his sword and flexing his muscles while his father describes his prowess.  Lord MacGuffin announces his own heir: "I present my eldest son, who scuttled the Viking long ships and, with his bare hands, vanquished 2,000 foes."  MacGuffin looks triumphantly at Lord Macintosh.  MacGuffin's son, a large, timid-looking boy, breaks a log in half with his hands and a cheer goes up from the crowd.  Lord Dingwall announces his son: "I present my only son, who was besieged by 10,000 Romans, and who took out a whole armada single-handedly...with one arm."  Dingwall pulls a small, flabby-looking boy out of the crowd and pushes him forward.  When someone in the crowd denies the veracity of Dingwall's claims, a fight breaks out and the men all enjoy the opportunity of giving the princess a first-hand example of their strength.  Watching the men bite, claw, and kick each other with obvious enjoyment, Princess Merida rolls her eyes and sighs.

Merida has just fed her mother a magic cake she hopes will change her decision to force Merida to marry.  She watches excitedly as her mother groans in sickness, waiting for her to suddenly change her mind.  Elinor rolls off the bed, groaning.  When she rises, Merida is stunned to see that she has transformed into a bear.  Unknowing and unused to her new body, Elinor crashes around the room, confused.  When she finally realizes she is a bear, Elinor groans in confusion.  Merida, disappointed and angry: "Mum?  You're a bear!  Why a bear?  Ugh!  That scaffy witch gave me a gammy spell!"  Elinor stops groaning to stare at her daughter angrily.  Merida, defensively: "It's not my fault.  I didn't ask her to change you into a bear.  I just wanted her to change...you."  Merida's hair blows backward as her mother roars in her face.

Merida and her mother, Elinor, who has been changed into a bear, have moved into the forest to hide from bear hunters.  Merida awakens to find her mother, the bear, attempting to eat berries daintily with twig utensils.  Merida, who has wide experience of the forest, immediately recognizes the berries as poisonous.  Spitting them quickly out, Elinor tries to rinse her mouth with water she collected herself.  Merida, looking into the pot, asks her mother where she got the water from: "It has worms!"  Elinor spews out the water, falling to the ground in a faint.  Merida, laughing, takes her mother to the creek for some fish.  With the accuracy of a practiced archer, Merida spears a fish on her first try.  Merida then roasts the fish for her mother, who wolfs it down and asks for more.  After another six fish fail to satisfy her mother's appetite, Merida decides it would be best for Elinor to learn to catch fish herself.  Taking her mother to the stream, Merida teaches her mother to fish like a bear.

Merida and her mother are in the forest when a magical wisp suddenly appears to lead them where they need to go.  Frightened, Elinor chases the wisp, trying to attack it.  After her mother crashes into a tree in her efforts, Merida comforts her: "Mum, I know you're scared, you're tired, you don't understand, but we've got to keep our heads.  Just calm down.  Listen."  Elinor's breathing slows and the two wait, watchfully.  In the silence, they can hear the whispers of the wisps all around them.  Suddenly, a line of wisps appear, leading off into the forest.  Merida, to her mother: "They'll show us the way."

Merida enters the throne room to find the four clans fighting amongst themselves.  Determined to repair the damage she caused to their alliance, Merida reminds them of the legend of their ancestors, whose self-interest broke a kingdom into pieces.   Merida: "I know, now, how one selfish act can turn the fate of a kingdom."   Merida reminds the men that when their land was threatened by outside invaders, they bonded together to defeat their common enemy.  Merida: "You fought for each other.  You risked everything for each other."  As the lords recall specific instances where they helped each other to survive, their feelings of antagonism are replaced by the warm feelings of friendship.  Merida: "The story of this kingdom is a powerful one.  My dad rallied your forces and you made him your king.  It was an alliance forged in bravery and friendship and it lives to this day."

Hoping to lift the spell that changed her mother into a bear, Merida places the torn tapestry over her mother's shoulders and waits for the rising sun to heal her mother.  When her mother's eyes disappear from within the bear's face, to be replaced by the unknowing stare of a bear, Merida begins crying, kneeling in front of the bear.  Merida, sobbing: "Oh, Mum.  I'm sorry.  This is all my fault.  I did this to you.  To us."  The bear has just enough of Elinor left in her to sense Merida's pain, and she sniffs her compassionately.  Merida wraps her arms around the bear, clinging to her neck.  Merida: "You've always been there for me.  You've never given up on me.  I just want you back.  I love you."  Merida continues to cry quietly as the sun rises, wishing with all her heart she had never bought the spell.  When the beams of light hit the tapestry, they illuminate the ragged seam stitched between the images of Merida and her mother.  Merida stops crying as her mother's hand reaches out from under the tapestry to stroke her hair.  Laughing, the two embrace.  Merida, looking in wonder at her mother's renewed form: "You changed!"  Elinor, referring to their healed relationship: "We both have."
