ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Joyce and Pastor Jason are at the hospital, where Joyce's son lies in a coma.  Joyce tells the pastor how, as a teenager, she gave her first child up for adoption: "I've never forgiven myself.  I can't let it go.  I can't go back.  I can't fix it."  Because she feels so helpless to change her past, Joyce does her best to control the present and prevent further mistakes.  She tells her son how to spend his allowance, her husband how to dress, and her pastor how he should cut his hair.  "My whole life, I have not stopped trying to control the outcome.  I can't control this, can I?"  Jason shakes his head soberly.  He looks at her for a few moments: "Joyce, why don't you let God handle it?"


Rescue workers have been sent to the frozen lake where three boys have fallen through the ice (see clip # CV10100).  Police arrive on the scene first, and two officers immediately walk out onto the lake.  The first officer stops as the ice begins to break underneath his feet, but the second continues on toward the desperate boys.  Josh looks pleadingly at the officer as he approaches: "Please help us!"  Reiger, paddling weakly in the water: "I can't hold on much longer."  Crawling to the opening in the ice, the officer grabs Reiger's hand and pulls him out of the water.  Cracking sounds are heard, but the officer is able to help Reiger to the shore and into the waiting ambulance.  Two men from the fire department arrive, wearing special suits to enable them to get in the water.  Carrying long poles with hooks at the end, Tommy and Joe walk to the edge of the gaping hole.  Josh, still crouched on the broken ice, terrified, begs them to save John, who has now been underwater for a full ten minutes.  Tommy and Joe enter the water and begin to methodically drag their poles back and forth across the lake bottom, searching for John.  Without more specialized equipment, they cannot go underneath the water themselves and must limit their search to the area the poles can reach.  When Josh has been under 15 minutes, Joe begins to lose hope: "It's going to be a recovery, not a rescue."  But both men continue to sweep with their poles.  Suddenly, Tommy hears a voice telling him to go back.  He looks up, thinking the chief had called to him.  Joe, however, heard nothing.  Tommy, looking confused, wonders what the words meant.  Following the order, he goes back to a place he previously searched.  Joe, seeing him, tells him the spot is hopeless: "Tommy, if he went under the ice back there, he's a goner."  But Tommy keeps looking, hoping against hope.  His eyes widen as his pole makes contact with something.  He begins to pull, dragging the object toward the surface.  Tommy, now sure, shouts to the other rescue workers: "We got him!"  Joe, Tommy, and the others work together to pull John's white body out of the icy water.


The doctor has just told Joyce that her teenage son has died (see clip # CV10102).  She stands over his lifeless body, weeping.  She begins to pray, crying out to God to save John: "Please, Jesus, please!  Holy Spirit, I need You now.  Please don't take my son!"  Her prayers interspersed with her tears, she pours out her heart: "Please bring life back into John.  Please!"  Outside, in the hallway, the doctor and nurses can hear Joyce's prayers and tears fill their eyes.  Joyce continues to plead with God, her whole body wracked with such desperate grief that she is screaming: "Send Your Holy Spirit to save my son!"  Just then, the heart monitor begins to beep.  A nurse watching from the hallway cries out in amazement: "We've got a pulse!"  As hospital workers begin to rush back into the room, the beep grows stronger.  Joyce stands by her son, awed.


Dr. Garrett takes Joyce outside the hospital room after having witnessed John's miraculous return from a coma.  Dr. Garrett, looking through the window into the room where the boy they all thought was dead is now talking to his family: "48 hours ago, John's lungs were filled with his own blood.  He needed constant adrenaline just to keep his heart pumping.  His white blood cells were being consumed faster than any patient I've ever seen.  His brain was experiencing neurological devastation while, simultaneously, every one of his major organs was failing.  Now look at him.  I'm a doctor, I'm supposed to know better.  But there's simply no other explanation, Joyce.  Your son's a miracle."  Dr. Garrett looks awed as he finishes telling the mother what he can hardly believe himself.


Dr. Sutterer approaches Joyce in the hospital waiting room: "We're doing everything we can for your son, but John isn't responding."  Joyce, almost frantic with worry: "What does that mean?"  The doctor escorts Joyce back to where Keith is giving John chest compressions.  Several nurses stand around the bed, sadly watching.  Dr. Sutterer quietly asks Keith and the others to leave the room.  He addresses Joyce: "Please take as long as you need to say goodbye."  Joyce, standing at the foot of her son's bed, looks stunned, as if she can't believe what the doctor has just said.  She reaches out and holds John's toes and her mind goes back to when he was a baby and she held his tiny feet with joy.  Now, the skin she touches is cold and the boy in front of her is lifeless.  She begins to cry, repeating over and over again: "I don't understand.  I don't understand."  She walks around the bed, refusing to believe what she sees in front of her.  As the reality of John's death sinks in, she begins to wail.  Outside, in the hospital hallway, the medical personnel lower their heads, feeling the pain of the mother's grief.


The manager of a local restaurant hears boisterous voices coming from the lake and goes outside to investigate.  His eyes widen in fear as he spots John, Josh, and Reiger goofing off on the frozen surface of the lake.  He calls out a warning: "Get off the ice!  Not safe!"  Laughingly, the teens ignore his warning, resuming their play.  John gets a text from his mom and begins to type out an answer when, suddenly, the ice below him shatters and he falls into the freezing water below.  Within seconds, the ice under the other two boys collapses and they join John in the water.  The view from the restaurant shows a black hole in the middle of the frozen lake, with no boys in sight.

The church body is gathered together for the service and the worship band is singing "Amazing Love."  While the traditional form of the song is being sung, the people in the audience look, on the whole, contented and worshipful.  Some are raising hands, some are seated and singing, and a few just listen.  However, when a special guest singer, invited by the pastor, steps forward and begins to rap the words to the song, the church body begins to divide into several factions.  By far, the majority continue to worship, interpreting the change in style for just another of the myriad of ways of expressing love to God.  For some, especially the young, their level of participation increases as the rapping speaks to their interest.  Joyce's son is one of these, and he immediately enthusiastically stands and grins.  A few, however, are interrupted in their worship with obvious dislike of the music.  Joyce is of this group, and several times during the rest of the song looks pointedly at the "hip" pastor from California.  A few older folks in the front row scowl and gesture at the rapper, as if to say, "What is he doing here?  This isn't worship!"


The fire chief and his men are discussing the earlier rescue of John from the frozen lake.  Joe congratulates Tommy for finding the boy in the frigid depths.  Tommy takes little credit: "If Chief hadn't asked us to double-back, I never would have found him in the first place."  Chief, confused: "Say, what?"  Tommy: "If you hadn't yelled for us to go back...I thought you were nuts."  Chief: "I didn't yell at you guys."  Now it's Tommy's turn to look confused.  He stares at Joe, who was with him during the rescue.  Joe shrugs: "I never heard it."  Tommy, certain: "I heard a voice say, 'Go back.'  So, who was it?"  He looks around at the other men, who stare blankly back.  Tommy laughs, thinking someone is playing a joke.  He is sure that a voice directed him where to find the missing boy.  But when the men continue to deny having spoken, Tommy, looking shaken, leaves the room.


John is still unresponsive to medical treatment and needs to be brought out of his induced coma in order to survive.  A news report broadcasts a call for help from the Smith family to their community.  "Please pray for John.  His mother, Joyce, believes that God can do the impossible.  So, we're asking Him to do just that."  All over the town, people respond to the call to prayer.  Fire fighters, hospital personnel, kids from John's school, strangers and friends alike all bow their heads in intercession for the boy.  At the hospital, Joyce, Brian, and Pastor Jason hold hands over John's bed, asking God to heal him.  Joyce hears the sound of singing.  She turns and goes to the window that looks out over the hospital parking lot.  A crowd of people has gathered for a candlelight vigil for John.  Singing and praying, the people show their support for the Smith family and their trust in God's ability to heal.  Moved, Joyce leans over John's bed to whisper to her unconscious son: "I think everybody you know is outside that window."  As the music rises to fill the room, Brian stares at his son's face.  A single tear courses slowly down John's cheek.  


After falling through the ice of a frozen lake, John is in a coma. Dr. Garrett, the leading expert in such cases, informs the parents the teen won’t survive the night. Joyce (John’s mother) then pleads with the doctor, “I need you to go and be the best for John – nothing less – and you just let God do the rest.”

Tommy continues to puzzle over the mysterious voice he heard at the frozen lake which helped him quickly find John's body (see Scene #9). The Chief later asks Tommy if he's okay, with Tommy confessing: "Well, the way I figure it; it's either one of two things: either I'm nuts…"  Chief: "Or God's talking to you."  Tommy: "Exactly. In which case… I've got a big personal problem... I don't believe in God."

John is lying comatose in a hospital room where several doctors openly discuss the boy’s eventual death. Listening from the bathroom, Joyce (John’s mother) boldly interrupts the conversation, giving the doctors explicit new instructions: “My son can hear you whether you believe it or not. So, from now on, I don’t want anybody saying anything negative about his prognosis. In this room, we will all speak life over John. Do I make myself clear?”

John Smith is a 14-year-old Guatemalan boy raised in Lake St. Louis, Missouri by his adoptive parents, Brian and Joyce Smith. Though they are loving and supportive, John struggles with feelings of abandonment from his birth parents, and rebels against his parents and teachers. In school, John's class is assigned to give a presentation about their family backgrounds, which John later does, giving a half-hearted presentation, saying that everyone already knows he is adopted and he does not know much about his true background.
