ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Eddie is in the confessional booth at four in the morning, the same time he was there the day before.  Looking guilty, Eddie confesses to the priest that he lied to his wife.  Priest: "This is very serious."  Eddie explains that he's been trying to quit smoking, but has had a difficult time.  Eddie shaking his head: "It's so hard."  Priest: "Yes."  Eddie hangs his head and begins to cry: "But I'm trying."

Eddie has brought together leaders of four main Judeo-Christian faiths to preview his movie about Jesus Christ.  Eddie stands in a board room, addressing the rabbi, priest, pastor, and Eastern Orthodox bishop: "We don't want to send it to market without the certainty that it will not offend any reasonable American regardless of faith or creed.  Now, that's where you come in.  You've read the script.  I wanna know if the theological elements of the story are up to snuff."  Immediately, the four men begin to argue about the nature of Christ, firing out comments in quick succession.  Priest, stating that Christ's nature is complex: "It's not the case simply that Christ is God or God Christ."  Rabbi, sarcastically: "You can say that again.  The Nazarene was not God."  Bishop: "He was not not God."  Rabbi: "He was a man."  Pastor: "Part-God."  Eddie: "But, Rabbi, all of us have a little bit of God in us, don't we?"  Priest, earnestly: "It's the foundation of our belief that Christ is most properly referred to as the Son of God.  It's the Son of God who takes the sins of the world upon Himself so that the rest of God's children, we imperfect beings, through faith, may enter the kingdom of heaven."  Eddie, confused: "So God is split?"  Priest, mysteriously: "Yes.  And no."  Bishop, vaguely: "There is unity in division."  Pastor, even more vaguely: "And division in unity."  Eddie: "I'm not sure I follow, Padre."  Rabbi: "Young man, you don't follow for a very simple reason.  These men are screwballs.  God has children?  What?  And a dog?  God doesn't have children.  He's a bachelor, and very angry."  The men shift their argument now to the nature of God, debating whether God loves everyone or just Jews, and whether He is the same God in the New Testament as He was in the Old.

Filming has begun on the final, triumphant scene of Baird's movie.  In this last scene, Baird's character, a Roman centurion, professes his faith in Christ at the scene of His crucifixion.  Baird and Gracchus (a hardened, worldly centurion) push their way through the crowd to stop at the foot of the cross.  Baird looks up at the unseen Christ with a gaze of worship and falls to his knees, earning the scorn of Gracchus.  Baird tells Gracchus of his encounter with Christ, that He had eased sufferings, responded to sin with love, and forgiven Baird's own sinBaird, confidently: "This Hebrew is the Son of the One God, the God of this far-flung tribe."  Baird's passionate words begin to penetrate hearts all over the set.  As he testifies of Christ, cameramen, writers, and lackeys all fix their attention on his words, openly moved.  Baird: "Why shouldn't God's anointed appear here, among these strange people, to shoulder their sins?  Here, Gracchus, in this sun-drenched land?"  Crew members begin to nod, straining their ears to listen to the gospel.  Baird continues: "Why should He not take this form, the form of an ordinary man?  A man bringing us not the old truths, but a new one.  A truth beyond the truth that we can see.  A truth beyond this world."  The background music swells and even Gracchus appears to have had a change of heart.  Baird: "A truth told not in words, but in light.  A truth that we could see if we had but...If we had but..."  Gracchus looks askance at the suddenly tongue-tied Baird.  Suddenly, the director cries out: "Faith!  If we had but faith!"  Baird, whose religious fervor has disappeared along with the forgotten line: "Faith!  G-d d--n it!"  And, just like that, the moment is passed.  The set returns to normal, everyone scurries to resume work, and any appearance of the gospel taking hold of hearts is gone.  Gracchus fiddles with his armor: "Can I get a pat down?  I'm sweating like a pig in this thing!"  Baird, still angry he forgot a line: "Son of a b---h!"  (Caution: gd-word used, b-word used)

Eddie is again sitting in the confessional booth, ready to unload his sins to the priest.  Priest: "How long since your last confession, my son?"  Eddie looks at his watch: "It's been, what, 27 hours?"  Priest: "It's really too often, my son.  You're not that bad."  Eddie, feeling guilt, shakes his head: "I don't know, Father.  I snuck a cigarette.  Or two.  I didn't make it home in time for dinner.  And I, uh, I struck a movie star in anger."  Priest, sighing: "All right.  Five Hail Marys."
