ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Todd has been called to the hospital to attend the deathbed of a stranger.  The elderly man's grown son greets Todd as he arrives and tells him that his father has requested a pastor.  Todd enters the room and takes the man's hand: "My name's Todd.  I'm here to pray for you."  The man struggles painfully to breathe.  Todd, quietly: "Is there anything you're sorry for?"  Todd leans forward to hear the man's pained confession: "Everything."  Todd: "I believe God forgives.  And if He forgives anything, He forgives everything."  While the man's children watch from the hall, Todd begins to pray.

Todd is speaking to his congregation on the topic of commitment - - whole-hearted devotion in marriage, in life, and, particularly, in relationship with Christ.  To illustrate his point, he tells a story that his wife is fond of reading to their children.  In this story, a great lion has come to a mythical land to guide its inhabitants toward truth and love.  The lion's enemies have killed all but two of his followers...a bear and a unicorn.  The three creatures are trapped inside a cave, accessible only by a narrow entrance, and their enemies are gathered outside preparing to kill them.  The enemies offer the bear and unicorn a chance to survive, if only they will give up the lion.  The lion looks to his friends to see how they will respond to the offer.  Todd: "The bear and the unicorn, they just smile.  They say, 'Of all the deaths that we could have died, this, right here, is the one we would have chosen.'" Todd looks out at the members of his congregation: "The bear and the unicorn and the lion, they weren't looking for an easy road.  I don't think Jesus was either, when He accepted the cross.  There's a lot of people, they don't believe that story any more than the one about the lion, the bear, and the unicorn.  I'm here with you all this morning because I believe in them both.  And I'll never give up that lion."

Todd is in the bathroom in his home, in terrible pain from kidney stones.  A member of the board of his church knocks on the bathroom door and begins to try to talk to Todd in between his groans.  Todd, barely able to focus through the pain, asks Jay to get to his point: "What do you want?"  Jay: "Uh, you know, we're sort of wondering when you think you might be able to preach again?"  Todd's scream of pain can be heard outside the home, and Jay beats a quick retreat.  Later, Jay and another board member are suffering through interim preachers who vary from the oppressively dull to the flamboyantly mystical.  Nancy, staring at a seminary student waving her hands and chanting: "If Todd isn't back soon, I'm going to kill somebody."  Later, Todd is in his yard, trying to get some work done for his second job to pay off some of the medical bills.  Seeing his pain, Sonja approaches him, telling Todd that their family needs to take a vacation, for all their sakes.  Todd, feeling the burden of providing for his family and the pressure of his congregation to return to work, refuses.  Sonja, however, is insistent that they need to take one weekend off: "We need it.  You need it."  Todd: "There's no way."  Sonja bends forward to whisper into her husband's ear, making promises of his marital reward if he will agree to her plan.  Todd walks toward the house, telling the kids to pack for a vacation.

Todd and Sonja are in the hospital waiting room while their four-year-old son fights for his life.  Todd gets up to head to the chapel to pray.  Sonja wants to come with him, but he feels the need to be alone.  Inside the darkened room, Todd pours out his pain to God: "You've made me suffer.  And I took that.  You've made my family suffer.  And I took that."  Todd begins to weep: "You're gonna take my boy!"  Angrily, he shoves the row of chairs in front of him.  He screams toward heaven: "Don't You take my son.  Don't You take my son!"

Sonja sits in the hospital waiting room, helpless in her grief.  Her four-year-old son lies in the operating room.  A doctor bends over the tiny body: "His blood pressure is falling.  We're losing him."  Desperate, Sonja makes a phone call to a woman in her church.  She tells Nancy that Colton isn't doing well, and she begs her to pray.  Nancy promises, immediately calling everyone she knows in their small community and commissioning them to join her in this task.  All over the town, people bow their heads in prayer.  Young people and old, farmers and firefighters, men and women, all begin to intercede for the boy and his family.  Back in the hospital waiting room, Sonja and her husband weep, unable to do anything else.  Hours later, a doctor comes to call the couple in to see their son.  Eagerly, they rush to the room where Colton smiles at them weakly.  They kiss and stroke the head of the boy who, miraculously, has suddenly begun to recover.

Todd is taking Colton out for a milkshake and he asks his son to tell him about his experience of heaven.  (Colton's near-death on the operating table resulted in an extraordinary glimpse of heaven.)  The little boy, while playing with his action figure, begins to tell his father what he saw that day.  The boy describes how he floated up from the operating table and looked down on himself.  We see him as he walks across a cloudy meadow and enters his father's church.  The pulpit is gone and, in its place, is an expanse of glorious sky.  Beautiful singing fills the sanctuary as bright lights in the sky move toward Colton.  As the lights come closer, glowing wings can be seen, and Colton realizes these are angels, singing to him.  When the singing stops, Colton excitedly calls out to the angels: "Can we sing, 'We Will Rock You?'"  The sound of laughter is heard coming from the angelic beings.  Suddenly, a Man in a white robe walks down the aisle of the church and stands next to Colton.  Jesus, kindly: "Do you know who I am?"  Colton nods.  Jesus takes the boy's hand, leading him out of the building and into the light, to meet those who wait for him.

Todd has come to see Dr. Slater, an eminent psychology professor, to try to find some answers regarding his son's experience of heaven.  Todd introduces himself, and Dr. Slater recalls hearing of him from her deceased, "religious" husband.  Todd asks her if she is religious and she unhesitatingly denies being so.  When Todd tells the psychologist that his son went to heaven and came back, she is immediately skeptical and offers Todd a "rational" explanation for his son's experience.  Dr. Slater: "At the point near death, the body releases hormones that can induce a state of peace, even bliss.  Our brains fill in the blanks.  Christians see Jesus.  Jews see Moses.  Muslims see Mohammed."  Todd argues that Colton saw things that can't be explained - - things that he never could have known if his story wasn't true.  Dr. Slater tells Todd that Colton was simply regurgitating experiences that were fairly normal within his family.  Todd, however, still feels that there's more to his son's story: "I know my son, and when he talks about heaven, it doesn't sound like something he's making up."  Dr. Slater attributes the incredible descriptions as fruit of an intelligent imagination.  Dr. Slater: "I don't mean to discount whatever magic it is you derive from all of this, but there are many explanations.  Even for extrasensory knowledge."  Todd: "Is it really easier to believe in that, or clairvoyance, or telepathy than it is life after the physical?"  Dr. Slater, with a tinge of bitterness: "Believe in miracles?  I've found such concepts to be a bit circular.  Even before I watched my husband die."  Dr. Slater, pointedly: "Let me ask you, did you come here today because you were wondering about my faith, or were you wondering about your own?"  Todd doesn't answer, but extends a friendly hand to the doctor, thanking her for meeting with him.  Just before he reaches the door, Todd asks one more question: "What if you have an encounter so far beyond your own experience that it's...irrational?  What then?"

Todd and Sonja are in the kitchen with their children, going through their evening routine, when the phone rings.  Todd, answering, is stunned to hear that his little girl was involved in a fight at school.  Holding the phone to his chest, Todd addresses Cassie: "Honey, did you punch a kid in the nose today?"  Cassie, quietly: "Uh huh."  Todd, shocked: "With your...fist?  In the nose?"  Cassie, meekly doing her homework: "Yep."  She looks up: "But...not one kid.  Two."  Colton's eyes grow large across the table.  Todd hangs up the phone and sits down with his wife to talk to their daughter.  Todd: "If you punched somebody, there must have been a reason for it."  Cassie tells her parents that the kids were making fun of her little brother and his vision of heaven.  Sonja: "Honey, you know you should have turned the other cheek, though, right?"  Cassie, somewhat proudly: "I did turn his other cheek.  When I hit him."

Nancy finds Todd sitting in front of her son's grave, holding a bunch of flowers.  Realizing that the pastor is the one who has been visiting the grave over the years, Nancy is both surprised and touched.  Todd regretfully thinks back to the day of the military funeral...the day Nancy received the token flag from her government.  Todd apologizes to Nancy for not being able to lessen her hurt: "I failed you, Nancy.  The worst moment of your life, a loss beyond comprehension, and I had nothing for you.  No comfort.  No hope.  No peace.  I should have maybe - -"  Nancy interrupts: "No, you didn't let me down.  You couldn't take my pain away, and I didn't want it gone.  For awhile, pain was all I had of him."  Nancy looks deeply at her friend and pastor: "You don't have to save the world, Todd.  I believe that's already been done."

Nancy and Todd are sitting in front of Nancy's son's grave (see Scene # CV07532).  Looking back on her behavior over the past months, Nancy realizes that she has been acting out of a bitter, angry heart.  Nancy admits that her anger has not been toward people, but toward God: "Why God would give you your son back and take mine away?"  Todd bears no anger toward Nancy for her actions.  Rather, he tells her that his experience with his own son's near-death has made him forever compassionate towards other grieving parents.  Todd: "Some part of me broke.  Some part that still hasn't mended.  Nancy, you don't ever have to apologize to me for any broken part you carry."  Nancy, relieved, now seeks relief for the real burden that is weighing on her soul: "I have to ask, do you think my son is in heaven?"  Todd: "Do you love your son...still?"  Nancy: "Of course."  Todd: "Do you think I love mine?"  Nancy: "I know you do."  Todd: "Do you think I love my son more than you love yours?"  Nancy shakes her head.  Todd: "Do you think God loves my son more than He loves yours?"  Nancy begins to smile through her tears, lifting her face towards heaven.

Todd stands before his congregation and community to address their questions about his son's experience of heaven.  Todd states unequivocally that he believes God caused Colton to see heaven.  Todd: "Is heaven real?  'Cause, if heaven is for real, we'd all lead different lives, wouldn't we?"  Todd goes on to point out that we all already see evidence of heaven in the cry of a baby, in love and friendship, in our parents, but that even those glimpses of heaven don't stop us from choosing the path of hell.  Todd: "Is heaven for real?  Every single one of us has asked that question.  And, for me, the answer is yes.  I see it...so I believe it.  What we believe changes what we perceive, and I believe that God...He is love."  Todd tells the people that his son saw Jesus in heaven: "How 'bout that name...Jesus?  Oooh, Jesus.  Creates so much hope in so many of you.  So much distrust in so many others."  Todd admits that his plans as a pastor weren't what God's plans for him were...that God had to crush his pride to open his heart.  He tells his congregation that love is God's purpose: "The one thing this love requires is that I let others know they're not alone."
