ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Sab Than, ruler of Zodanga, is in a battle with his enemy, the city of Helium.  In the middle of a fierce fight, everyone except Sab Than is suddenly annihilated by a blue stream of energy.  Three beings appear from the sky and stand before Sab Than.  They hand him a powerful weapon.  Sab Than, drunk with power, turns the weapon on the beings, who easily deflect it.  They mildly reprimand him.  Sab Than: "Who...what are you?"  Lead Being: "We serve the Goddess.  And she has chosen you to receive this weapon.  Do as we command, and you will rule all of Barsoom...with none to defy you, and nothing to stand in your way."  Sab Than smiles evilly.

John Carter, a former soldier in the Confederate Army of the United States, is confronted by a group of soldiers sent to force him into service for the newly-united country.  John, unwilling to go, braves the armed men and attempts to escape.  Quickly subdued and knocked unconscious, John is awakened by a bucketful of cold water in the face.  He is now in the military fort, in the office of Colonel Powell, who begins reading aloud from a document listing John's impressive military record.  The colonel has barely begun his recitation when John head-butts him in a second escape attempt.  John is speedily overpowered by the four armed soldiers in the office, and he is once again knocked unconscious.  A short time later, John awakens, bleeding from his mouth.  He glares at the colonel, who is holding a handkerchief to his own bloody nose.  The colonel continues reading, as if never interrupted.  This time, the colonel manages to read several sentences before John makes his third escape attempt.  Despite being surrounded by armed guards and bound at the wrists, John jumps out of his chair and dives head-first through the closed office window.  John next awakens behind the bars of a jail cell in the fort.  The colonel, finally sure of a captive audience, finishes reading John's record: "In short, a born fighter."

John awakens to find himself lying in the middle of a vast, desolate terrain.  He stands, taking a step forward, and falls immediately to the ground.  He tries several more times to walk, but the result is always the same.  He sits up, confused.  Determined to succeed, he rises again and again, only to literally bite the dust with each attempt.  Frustrated, he tries other methods of movement, but crawling and running only lead to the same outcome.  A shuffling, crab-like walk gains him a few paces, but he soon feels himself falling again toward the ground.  John, yelling just before hitting the ground: "No, no, no!"  Frustrated, he picks up a rock and throws it as hard as he can.  He stares in shock as the rock sails so far into the sky that it disappears.  Suddenly, John realizes that he has found the key to getting around in this strange land.  He begins leaping, moving quickly and gracefully.  Exhilarated, John yells: "Woo hoo!"

John watches in trepidation as a group of armed creatures rides speedily towards him across the desolate Martian terrain.  Startled, he jumps quickly out of the way when the leader of the group suddenly appears and throws a spear in his direction.  The two beings stare at one another for a moment, each wondering what kind of creature the other is.  The Martian, the apparent leader of his group, orders the others to cease their fire and move off into the distance.  Then, raising his hands and dropping his weapons, he begins to speak words of peace in his own language.  He slowly approaches John and introduces himself with the aid of gestures.  John understands, and communicates his own name.  Believing the alien to have hostile intentions, John plots his escape during the exchange.  Taking advantage of an opportunity, John succeeds in reaching the Martian's discarded weapons.  Tars, the Martian, begins yelling in his own language for his men not to hurt John.  Tars runs toward John, intending to save him from the others.  John, not understanding the language, raises a weapon to fire at Tars, but is shot first by one of the other Martians.  (Caution: h-word used in alien language)

John, Sola, and Dejah are running from a huge army intent on their destruction.  While looking at Dejah, whom John is beginning to love, John has flashbacks of his deceased wife and child.  Regretting his inability to save them from their violent deaths, John determines to save Dejah.  John orders Sola to take Dejah to safety and turns to face the army alone.  Surrounded by the enemy, John fights bravely, all the while thinking of his dead family.  John's sword is kept busy by the ceaseless stream of advancing foes.  No sooner does he cut down one, then another takes his place.  John is soon surrounded by a pile of bodies, which grows until he is no longer visible.  (Caution: d-word used; some gore)

A Thern, an eternal being with incredible powers, is in the disguise of an old woman.  He is leading John through the city, telling him of the current events spinning in his web of control.  John can't understand why the Thern would care about Martian politics: "What is your cause?"  Thern: "We have none."  The Thern tells John that, as an eternal being, he is outside the realm of mortal worries.  The Thern's apparent motive is one of control: "History will follow the course we have set."  The Thern have ensured that power will remain in the hands of the people they can control.  Thern: "We've been playing this game since before the birth of this planet.  And we'll continue to do so, long after the death of yours.  We don't cause the destruction of a world, Captain Carter.  We simply manage it, feed off it, if you like.  But, on every host planet, it always plays out exactly the same way.  Populations rise, societies divide, wars spread.  And, all the while, the neglected planet slowly fades."

John and Tars are prisoners, left to die in an arena in front of a cheering crowd.  Tars, half-dead, and John, chained to a huge boulder, begin to run as a gigantic white beast is released into the arena.  John, seeking to save his friend, succeeds so long in diverting the beast that another beast is sent to hasten the deaths of the prisoners.  Facing the increased challenge with little more than a sigh, John strains at his chains until he is able to break off a piece of the boulder.  Using it as a weapon, John succeeds in killing one of the beasts.  Accepting a sword from one of the spectators, John throws himself under the second beast just as it pounces on top of Tars.  The crowd waits tensely, expecting the beast to be victorious.  However, when John cuts his way through the dead beast's back and emerges unscathed, the crowd goes wild with admiration for his bravery and skill.  (Caution: d-word used; some gore)
