ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Peter arrives at the train station, excited about his first day at a new job.  He joins his co-workers at the end of the platform as they all wait for the train to London to arrive.  He greets them with a smile and a light-hearted attempt at banter, but his efforts are received with chilly forbearance.  No one returns his smile.  Instead, the most senior of the group performs the requisite introductions in the most business-like manner possible.  There is nothing warm or personal about the welcome.  When Peter expresses his eagerness to make a difference in his new position as public servant, the others either give him a quelling stare or look away in indifference.  Only Rusbridger takes pity on the poor man and leans in to whisper the unspoken rules of the morning train ride to work: "Don't worry, old chap.  This time of morning, it's a kind of rule.  Not too much fun and laughter.  Rather like church."  Peter looks around the platform and sees that, indeed, everyone is standing, silent and sober.  No one speaks in anything more than a hushed tone, and absolutely no one smiles.  Peter straightens his shoulders and turns to face forward, imitating the posture of his colleagues.


Mr. Williams sits at a table in a diner with a stranger.  Having overheard the man complain about his inability of late to sleep, Mr. Williams has placed four bottles of sleeping tablets on the table and offered them to the man.  The man, Sutherland, quickly understands the unspoken situation.  Mr. Williams had been planning suicide and has now changed his mind.  Williams, quietly: "It's not perhaps quite what you think.  The doctors have given me six months.  Eight or nine at a stretch.  Funny, you're the first person I've told."  Sutherland, compassionately: "Six months.  Nine.  It doesn't seem long, but it's something.  Enough time to put things in order and to live a little, if you chose to."  Mr. Williams tells the man that he withdrew half his life savings and came to the beach in order to do just that, to enjoy himself before he dies.  But he has found that he has no idea of what to do with his last remaining days.


Mr. Williams and his son, Michael, each have something important they need to say to each other.  But neither one feels comfortable broaching an uncomfortable subject.  In the hallway, Mr. Williams practices talking to Michael in the mirror.  But, even in practice, he struggles to find the right words to tell Michael he is dying.  At the same time, in the dining room, Michael and his wife are discussing the rumors that are going around town that Mr. Williams is dating a younger woman.  Fiona: "You simply must speak to him.  You should have done so long ago, about everything."  Michael, determinedly: "I'll speak to him, all right.  With pleasure, I'll speak to him."  Back in the hallway, Mr. Williams is still talking to his reflection: "I...uh...mmm..."  Mr. Williams trails off without ever saying anything.  Finally, he gives up and goes into the dining room.  The three sit down at the table for dinner.  Fiona waits expectantly for her husband to begin the discussion with her father.  Michael only reads the paper.  Mr. Williams says nothing.  Fiona puts the food on the table and pointedly asks Michael to put away the paper.  As she dishes out the food, Fiona looks daggers at Michael, willing him to begin the conversation.  But, at every turn, Michael ignores her, only speaking when absolutely necessary.  Fiona, seething with frustration, finally broaches the subject herself.  But both men are so determined to avoid a deep conversation that her comments fall on nearly deaf ears.  Fiona gives up.

Mr. Williams and Peter bring several tall stacks of file boxes into the Parks Department.  Williams, setting the boxes down on the desk of Mr. Jones: "This is very good of you, Mr. Jones.  I know we're placing an extra burden on all of you here."  Mr. Jones: "Urgent?"  Williams, kindly: "We'd appreciate your giving it priority."  Mr. Jones agrees to do the work as soon as possible.  Mr. Williams holds out both hands to Mr. Jones and bows his head humbly: "Thank you."  Mr. Jones looks a little surprised at the thoughtful expression of gratitude in the workplace.  Peter, who is telling this story after Mr. Williams' death to several of their colleagues, recalls: "Instead of just leaving, he went over to each of them in turn, looked them in the face, thanked them all."  We see Mr. Williams walking up to each desk in the office and thanking each person individually.  They receive his thanks with surprised appreciation, not used to being recognized in their civil servant positions.  Peter smiles as he remembers.

Mr. Williams is in his doctor's office, waiting to hear the results of his latest tests.  The doctor soberly invites him to sit down.  The doctor looks at Mr. Williams from across the desk: "I'm afraid this time they're pretty conclusive."  The doctor takes off his spectacles: "It's never easy, this."  Mr. Williams, well-bred as ever: "Quite."  We see a close-up profile of Mr. Williams' face as he digests the news that he has not much longer to live.


Mr. Williams has just told Miss Harris that he is dying.  The news has made him take stock of his life and regret what he has become.  He jokes a little, laughing at the nickname Miss Harris had for him before she really knew him: Mr. Zombie.  Mr. Williams knows that the mechanical, soulless way he lived his life deserved the title, but he remembers a time when he was young and alive.  He tells Miss Harris that his ambition, from a small child, was to be a gentleman: "Nothing grand.  Just a rank-and-file sort of gentleman."  As a boy, he used to watch the gentlemen with their suits and hats take the London train in the mornings: "That's what I longed to be one day."  And he did become a gentleman like that.  Composed, neat, and empty.  Mr. Williams shakes his head: "How did it happen?  I fancy it just crept up on me.  Just one day proceeding the next.  A small wonder I didn't notice what I was becoming."  He tells the young woman that she reminded him of what it was like to be alive.  He asks her if she ever stops to watch children play.  When he does, he notices the children usually leave their play reluctantly when their mothers call them back home.  But, on occasion, there will be one child just sitting by himself, not taking part, only waiting for his mother's call.  Mr. Williams: "Not happy.  Not unhappy.  Merely waiting.  I've become afraid that I might end up like that child.  When the time comes...when my Maker calls me."
