ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Mr. O'Hare has built his fortune selling fresh air to a polluted world.  He is meeting with two of his advertising executives, who are pitching him a new commercial.  The commercial is much like a modern beer commercial, showing two men having a boring weekend until they crack open a bottle of O'Hare Air.  Suddenly, they are surrounded by a party, complete with beautiful girls, and all of it is due to O'Hare Air.  When the commercial ends, O'Hare shakes his head in disgust: "You've got to be kidding me.  You really think people are stupid enough to buy this?"  Executive, confidently: "Our research shows that if you put something in a plastic bottle, people will buy it."

A young, hopeful Once-ler packs his wagon to set out on the journey of a lifetime.  Once-ler intends to change the world with his invention, the Thneed.  His family is gathered in front of their home to see him off.  Mother: "But just remember, Oncie, if, somehow, your invention ends up a failure instead of a success...it wouldn't surprise me at all!"  She laughs uproariously, along with the rest of the family.  Once-ler: "You'll see!  Okay?  I'm gonna prove you all wrong."

Ted gets up from the breakfast table, telling his mother he has things to do.  His mom stops him, saying brightly: "Whoa, whoa, whoa.  You're not going anywhere, young man.  It's Sunday, you know what that means?  Family time!  And we're all playing board games."  Ted sighs heavily, his shoulders sagging.  Ted protests while his mother pushes him into the living room.  Ted, his mom, and his grandmother all sit down to play a board game.  It's Grandma's turn and, as usual, she's taking a long time.  Ted sighs impatiently.  His mother taps her foot.  Finally, she stands up, shouting: "Okay!  Family time is over.  It's now personal time.  I'll be in my room."

Ted runs up the hill to the Once-ler's house, panting from his exertion.  He rings the doorbell, summoning the recluse to his attic window.  Once-ler, knowing the effort it must have taken Ted to reach him: "Why are you so interested in trees, anyway?"  Ted, shuffling his feet: "Yeah, I don't know.  I just...I just thought it would be kind of cool to have one, you know?"  Once-ler: "It's a girl, isn't it?"  Ted, feigning disgust: "What?  No!"  Once-ler: "Really?  Because when a guy does something stupid once, well, that's because he's a guy.  But if he does the same stupid thing twice, it's usually to impress some girl."  Ted, giving away his real motives: "Hey!  She's not some girl!  She's a woman.  In high school.  And she loves trees.  And I'm gonna get her one."  Once-ler, mockingly: "Aw.  How nice to see someone so undeterred by things like reality."

The Once-ler has invented a "revolutionary product that will change the world as we know it."  He demonstrates his Thneed to the Lorax, who seems far from impressed.  Lorax: "Nobody is going to buy that thing."  Undaunted, Oncie heads out to town to peddle his idea.  Once in the village, he sets up shop under a gazebo in the town square.  Singing catchy jingles, he tries to convince the populace that his Thneed is what they need.  Unfortunately, he is not well-received.  The townsfolk pelt him with vegetables, destroy his guitar, and throw insults at him.  But, day after day, he returns to try to change their minds.  He becomes the town joke, and eventually people line up just for the pleasure of abusing him.  Finally, he has had enough.  Angrily, he throws his Thneed away: "My family was right.  I quit!"  However, the Thneed lands on a woman, who immediately discovers its value.  Suddenly, everyone in town needs a Thneed.

The Lorax watches in horror as Oncie's relatives begin hacking down his beloved trees.  The Lorax confronts Oncie, who had promised not to destroy the trees.  "Hey!  You broke your promise!  You're better than this!  You gotta stop!  This is bad!"  Oncie deliberately turns away as his aunt throws the Lorax back into the forest.  Oncie, rationalizing aloud to himself: "Bad?  I'm not bad.  I'm the good guy here.  He just doesn't get it."  He turns to a bird for affirmation: "Do you think I'm bad?"  The bird squawks.  Oncie, choosing to take that for a negative: "Thank you.  I mean, something good finally happens to me, and he just has to come along and rain on my parade.  What's his problem?"  Oncie begins singing: ♪ "How bad can I be?  I'm just doin' what comes naturally.  How bad can I be?  I'm just following my destiny..." ♪

Oncie sits at his desk in his mansion, proudly surveying the model for his latest financial enterprise.  A voice comes from the window, startling him: "So, how are things?"  Oncie is angered to see the Lorax, the creature whose forest he decimated in order to build his empire.  Lorax: "Happy yet?  You fill that hole deep down inside you?  Or do you still need more?"  Oncie, defensively: "Look, if you've got a problem with what I'm doing, why haven't you used your quote-unquote powers to stop me?"  Lorax, sadly: "I told you.  That's not how it works."  Oncie, snidely: "Right.  I forgot.  You're a fraud.  I need you to get out.  Now!"  Lorax: "Why?  Do I make you uncomfortable?  Remind you of the promises you made?"  Oncie protests that his conscience is clear.  He intends to keep acquiring possessions: "Nothing is going to stop me!"  Now outside the mansion, the two are distracted by the sound of a tree being felled near them.  Lorax: "Well, that's it.  The very last one.  That may stop you."  Oncie's eyes widen as he looks out over the barren landscape, really seeing it for the first time.  He finally realizes the terrible consequences of his actions.

The Once-ler has just finished telling Ted the story of the destruction of the Truffula trees.  Ted stares at the stone memorial the Lorax left behind, decorated only with the word, "Unless."  The Once-ler tells Ted that he has spent many years wondering what that word meant.  Once-ler: "Maybe you're the reason the Lorax left that word there."  Ted, surprised: "Me?  Why would he leave that for me?"  Once-ler: "Because unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.  It's not."  The Once-ler throws the last Truffula tree seed down to Ted, who catches it, staring at it in awe.  He tells the boy to plant the seed.  Ted: "But nobody cares about trees anymore."  Once-ler: "Then make them care.  Plant the seed in the middle of town, where everyone can see.  Change the way things are.  I know it may seem small and insignificant, but it's not about what it is.  It's about what it can become.  That's not just a seed, anymore than you're just a boy."
