ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Grace and Mrs. Baker are discussing Sophie's upcoming seance and her plans for a psychic research center.  Grace: "I've always known there had to be more to this life than meets the eye.  How could it be that what we see is all there is to everything?  That's such a bleak thought.  Why would God go to so much trouble if everything comes to nothing?"

Sophie and the others are gathered in the study, seated around a candle-lit table.  Instructing the participants to hold hands, Sophie then proceeds to put herself into a trance in order to "summon the unseen world."  Her eyelids fluttering, Sophie manages to half-cross, half-roll her eyes back into her head.  Lifting her face to the ceiling, Sophie asks the dead Harry to give them a sign of his presence.  Everyone is startled when a loud knock jars the silence of the room.  Sophie instructs the "spirit" to knock once for "yes" and twice for "no."  Grace, beaming, is then free to question her dead husband and hear his knocking in response: "Are you okay?  Are you happy?"  Grace sighs in relief to hear one knock.  Sophie, somewhat melodramatically, asks the spirit for a sign.  Suddenly, the candle in the center of the table lifts into the air.  Howard grabs it, exclaiming: "That's not possible!"

Stanley is discussing Sophie's supposed supernatural gifting with Caroline, Howard, and George.  All but Stanley appear convinced that Sophie, indeed, has the ability to contact the spiritual realm.  After Stanley argues that Sophie's claims couldn't be valid because they are impossible, Howard counters from his own scientific perspective.  Howard, enthusiastically: "But who's to say what's possible?  I'm a physician, and new facts come to light, new discoveries are made all the time...things we never dreamed possible!"  Stanley: "But don't you see, it challenges our whole concept of reality!  I mean, if there's an unseen world, an afterlife, souls to contact, mind reading, foretelling the future - -"  Howard, interrupting: "Yes, it changes everything we've held to be scientifically accurate."  Caroline: "It's true!  If what she claims was possible, everything would surely take on new meaning.  And, yes, a very hopeful meaning."  Howard, excited: "To think, if there were more to life...?"  Stanley, frustrated: "More what?  That life doesn't end with death?  That the universe works by design?"  Caroline, bluntly: "That God exists."  Stanley, thinking she's gone too far: "All right, let's not get carried away.  The woman is a charlatan.  Because, as depressing as the facts of existence are, they are the facts.  There is no metaphysical world!  What you see out there is what you get.  I think Mr. Nietzsche has disposed of the God matter rather convincingly."

Sophie has left the room to use the telephone and Vanessa takes the opportunity to ask Stanley why he's so hard on the self-proclaimed medium.  Stanley confesses that he has been unable to prove her powers false and he has to wonder...is she real?  Stanley, disturbed: "I'm beginning to question my own common sense."  Vanessa: "I've always questioned your common sense.  You've always been so certain about the world, Stanley.  I've always tried to teach you that we don't know.  We really don't know.  We're just poor, limited human beings.  The goldfish doesn't understand who changes the water in its bowl."

Stanley's beloved aunt is in the hospital, in critical condition after a car accident.  Stanley sits down, folding his hands, and begins to pray for perhaps the first time in his life.  Stanley, looking up at the ceiling, begins his prayer: "I don't know if You can hear me..."  He continues on, admitting his own lack of faith and even hatred for the belief of others.  Stanley: "But, if what I see of late is real, then I don't have all the answers.  It's possible, even logical, that we are here by design to serve some higher ideal.  And that You...could be real."  As Stanley finishes confessing his past life of staunch atheism, he squeezes his eyes tightly shut, clenching his folded hands together, and begins to plead for his aunt's life: "I ask You...I ask You..."  Suddenly, Stanley opens his eyes, as if struck by a sudden thought: "Wait a minute."  He unfolds his hands, smacking them down on the table, and leans back in his chair: "This is the stupidest load of twaddle I have ever heard.  My common sense tells me, I am falling into a seductive morass of sugar-coated claptrap because I want my aunt to be all right."  And there ends Stanley's only attempt at prayer.

Stanley has exposed Sophie as a fraud, complicit in a scheme with Howard to trick Stanley into believing in the spiritual world.  Sophie, while apologizing for her deception, points out that Stanley was happier when he was deceived, finally believing there was something more to life than what is seen.  Stanley, looking back on his happiness with only disgust: "All my optimism was an illusion."  Sophie reminds Stanley of Nietzsche's assertion that we need our illusions in order to endure the bleakness of life on Earth.  Sophie: "You were much happier when you let some lies into your life, Stanley."  Howard warns Stanley that the truth would only hurt Grace, who has been made happy by Sophie's portrayal of the afterlife.  Stanley: "We can't go around deluding ourselves."  Sophie, passionately: "But we must!  If we're to get through life!"  Sophie argues that no one really knows what is real.  Stanley: "It's quite clear what's real.  My praying for my aunt was poppycock, the doctor's skill was real."  When Sophie asserts that prayer could have been the reason Vanessa was healed, Stanley stands up to leave, disgusted.  Sophie, once more, begs for forgiveness for her deception.  Stanley: "Well, I can't forgive you.  Only God can forgive you."  Sophie, momentarily confused: "You said there is no God."  Stanley: "Precisely my point."
