ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Maria approaches Coach Jim, hoping to recruit him to help out with student aid programs.  Coach: "What'd you have in mind?"  Maria: "Migrant parent meetings, literacy programs, food banks, support groups...these families need help."  Coach: "Nah, it's not really my sort of thing."  Maria: "You live in McFarland, right?  You ever taken a look out there?  This is one of the poorest towns in America.  These kids are invisible, they are expendable.  They come from the fields, and they go back to the fields unless the prisons get them first."  Coach looks out the window of the school building, seeing the prison that sits right across the street.  Maria, referring to the prison: "You notice we got one right next door?  Handy, huh?  Mr. White, it's pretty clear you don't wanna be here.  But, for these kids, these are the best years of their lives, and if we're gonna reach them, now is the time."

Coach White has brought his team to a lot filled with huge piles of almond hulls.  The tarped piles resemble small hills and the coach intends to use them to train the boys for hill running.  The boys stare out at the dozens of hills, dreading the thought of running up and down all of them.  After a lot of hard work, the boys finally finish and return to the coach's truck, thinking they are done for the day.  Coach: "Who's done?  You mean you want to quit, go home, stretch out on the couch?  Guess what?  Me too, but it ain't gonna happen.  We're gonna hit it again."  The boys protest, saying that it is hard.  Coach: "It's hard?  What's hard is losing when you know you haven't done enough!  All right, we're gonna get to the point where, when we see a hill, we smile.  The higher, the better."  The coach orders to boys to run the hills again.  He watches them, spurring them on, giving them tips to improve, and encouraging them to do better.

Coach Jim watches as his team approaches the last leg of their cross country run.  Thomas is only five seconds behind the lead runner and gaining ground.  As the two approach the finish line, Thomas picks up speed and passes the other runner.  Grimacing from exertion, Thomas holds his pace for another few seconds and crosses the finish line, earning first place.  Coach Jim watches for the rest of the team, encouraging each of the boys as they finish the race.  Finally, the last two boys cross the finish line.  The coaches compile the results and go to their teams to announce the victor.  Coach Jim: "It was close, boys.  Like I said, they're a great team.  But you're better."  As the news of their victory slowly sinks in, the boys begin to smile in disbelief.  Coach Jim, to his team of underdogs: "You just won your first race."

The Diaz family is seated at the dinner table, enjoying their evening meal.  This evening, Coach Jim has been invited to join their already large gathering.  The table conversation is continuous in the big family, but Jim is silent, focusing on eating the huge quantities of food that Mrs. Diaz frequently piles on his plate.  The boys laugh, watching their coach politely struggle to eat everything.  He tells them that he feels it would be rude to refuse the food.  However, when Mrs. Diaz gives him a large plastic container of food to take home to his family, Jim attempts to turn it down.  Mrs. Diaz, adamantly, but kindly: "Don't say to me 'no,' okay?  My husband...always working, but every day he's sitting at the table with his family.  He's talking and he's listening.  How you gonna be family if you no eating together, huh?"

The moon is still out when the alarm blares, waking the Diaz boys for their day of labor in the fields.  Rushing, the boys hop into the farm truck, surprised to find that their cross country coach is already in the back, waiting for them.  Damacio, laughing: "What are you doing here?  You know you're white, right?"  The coach has decided to spend the Saturday as his team usually spends it...picking produce to help their families survive.  When they arrive at the field, the sun is barely rising.  Damacio: "Don't white people mow their lawns on Saturday?"  Jim: "Haven't got a lawn.  What are we doing?"  Damacio: "You're not gonna like it."  The workers line up in the field, each taking a row of cabbages.  The boys instruct their coach on how to best harvest the crop.  Quickly tiring, Jim begins to ask the boys about their work.  He is stunned to learn that they are paid not by the hour, but by the field.  The work is back-breaking.  Damacio confesses that when he first started as a picker, at ten years old, he "cried like a baby" because of the pain of the labor.  The men return to working in silence, but Jim is soon lagging far behind the other pickers.  He stops for a moment's breath, grunting in pain.  Finally, his back is so cramped that he must stop and lie prostrate on the ground to ease his aching muscles.

No one expects underdog McFarland to qualify for State.  And their slim chances appear even worse when their lead runner trips just before the finish line.  But the team doesn't let their low ranking stop them from trying their best.  Coach White watches as each young man crosses the finish line, knowing the outcome is too close to call.  At the end of the race, the teams gather to wait for the judges to announce the top four qualifying teams.  One-by-one, teams cheer as they see their name written on the board.  One spot in the championship now remains and McFarland watches anxiously to see if they have qualified.  Suddenly, Coach White points to the board: "Look at that!  Look at that.  You did it.  Best in California.  McFarland is going to State!"  Immediately, the boys kneel on the ground, bowing their heads.  Quietly, they begin to pray, giving thanks to God for their victory.

It is Julie's 15th birthday and her parents are honoring her with a traditional quinceanera celebration to mark her growth from a child into a young woman.  Wearing a tiara and a beautiful gown, Julie exits the house and is formally introduced to the crowd.  Julie glows with pride as everyone admires her beauty.  The band serenades Julie as a young man escorts her to the dance floor.  Her father, Jim, is handed the microphone to give a speech.  Jim, holding back his deep emotion, looks at his daughter and tells why a quinceanera is such an important milestone: "It means our daughter's turning from this young girl to a beautiful woman.  I don't know if Julie knows how much I've struggled with this, but...tonight I celebrate it."  Jim tells Julie how proud he is to be her father, and then he leads her out onto the dance floor.  Julie puts her arm around her daddy and he tells her she is beautiful.

Thomas is bitter and disappointed, having learned that Coach White is contemplating leaving McFarland for a wealthier, more prestigious team.  Coach starts to defend his choice, but Thomas interrupts: "I get it.  We all get it.  This is America, right?  You gotta go bigger.  Find a nicer place...better pay...with better everything.  Everyone's always gonna go for the better everything.  And that's why no one stays in McFarland unless they have to.  Because there ain't nothin' 'American Dream' about this place."

Coach White gathers his team for a pep talk before they run in their first state championship race.  The coach directs the boys to look around at the other competitors, the best runners the state has to offer: "But they haven't got what you've got.  They don't get up at dawn like you and go to work in the fields.  They don't go to school all day and then go back to those same fields.  That's what you do.  And then you come out with me and you run 8 miles, 10 miles...and you take on even more pain.  These kids don't do what you do.  They can't even imagine it."  Coach remembers the day he spent working with the boys in the fields, acknowledging that it was the hardest day's work he had ever done: "You kids do it every day.  You guys are super-human.  What you endure just to be here, to get a shot at this...the kind of privilege that someone like me takes for granted.  There's nothing you can't do with that kind of strength, with that kind of heart.  You kids have the biggest hearts I've ever seen."
