ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Recently engaged Gil and Inez are having lunch with her parents in Paris when they are interrupted at their table by Paul and Carol, old friend's of Inez's.  It seems Paul is in town, as well, having been invited to lecture at the Sorbonne.  Paul is thrilled to have run into them and suggest they spend some time together.  However, the snobbish Paul has always rubbed Gil the wrong way, prompting Gil to make excuses why he and Inez are way too busy to hang out.  Inez, mesmerized by Paul's air of sophistication, doesn't play along and commits to joining them the next day.  Later in their hotel room, Gil and Inez discuss things further...       Inez: "I hope you're not gonna be as antisocial tomorrow at Versailles."      Gil: "How was I antisocial?"        Inez: "Please.  I mean, you could totally tell you didn't want to go."      Gil: "Well, I mean, they're your friends.  And I have to admit, I'm not quite as taken with him as you are."       Inez: "He's brilliant!  You know, I had such a crush on him in college.  And Carol's very bright."      Gil: "Well, he's a pseudo intellectual.  Just a little bit."         Inez: "Uh, Gil, I hardly think he'd be lecturing at the Sorbonne if he's a pseudo intellectual."

Gil and Inez are sightseeing with her friends Paul and Carol at the Palace of Versailles.  While admiring Rodin's "The Thinker" statue, a guide shares details about the sculptor's life.  Interrupting the guide, the egotistical Paul rudely takes over and tries impressing everyone with his own knowledge of the artist.  But after Paul and the guide get into a disagreement about whether Camille was Rodin's wife or mistress, Gil bluffs his way into the discussion to hopefully one-up his snobbish nemesis by backing up and agreeing with the guide by saying he'd recently read a biography on Rodin.  Moving on, the ladies are excited about a wine tasting event later that night.     Carol: "Paul is an expert on French wine."       Gil (sarcastically): "You're joking.  Really?"        After Gil and Inez are alone, she asks: "When did you read the biography on Rodin?"       Gil: "Me?  Why would I read a biography on Rodin?"

Alone by himself on the streets of Paris, Gil accepts a ride from an old jalopy at midnight and finds himself transported back to the 1920's.  Thrilled to meet one of his heroes, F. Scott Fitzgerald, the writing legend and wife Zelda escort him to a local pub and introduces him to the one and only, Ernest Hemingway (young, grizzled and intimidating)...      Gil: "Hemingway?"       Hemingway: "You liked my book?"       Gil: "Liked? I loved.  All of your work!"       Hemingway: "Yes, it was a GOOD book because it was an HONEST book.  And that's what war does to men.  And there's nothing fine and noble about dying in the mud.  Unless you die gracefully.  And then it's not only noble, but brave."       After Hemingway critiques some of Zelda's writing, causing her to leave angry, and driving F. Scott out of the pub, as well, after making honest opinions about his wife, Gil sits down...         Gil (answering an earlier question from Hemingway): "Yeah, I'm actually a huge Mark Twain fan. I think you can even make the case that all modern American literature comes from Huckleberry Finn."       Hemingway (aggressively looking at Gil): "You box?"      Gil (sheepishly): "No, no. Not, really. No."           After the men discuss what Gil's first novel is about (the protagonist runs a nostalgic shop), Gil asks if it's terrible subject matter.        Hemingway: "No subject is terrible if the story is true, and if the prose is clean and honest, and if it affirms courage and grace under pressure."       Gil, overwhelmed, asks if Hemingway will read his novel and give his opinion.               Hemingway: "My opinion is I hate it."          Gil: "You haven't even read it."         Hemingway: "If it's BAD, I'll hate it because I hate bad writing.  If it's GOOD, I'll be envious and hate it all the more.  You don't want the opinion of another writer."      Gil: "It's just, I'm having a hard time, you know, trusting somebody to evaluate it."      Hemingway, leaning in aggressively: "Writers are competitive."     Gil: "I'm not gonna be competitive with you."       Hemingway: "You're too self-effacing.  It's not manly.  If you're a writer," slamming his fist on the table, "declare yourself the best writer!  But you're NOT as long as I'm around.  Unless you want to put the gloves on and settle it!"               (Cautions: "for Christ's sake" & "hell" are used; smoking and drinking)

The intellectual competition continues between Gil and Paul when they and the girls stand in a room of gigantic Monet paintings...      Paul: ""The juxtaposition of color is amazing.  This man was the real father of abstract expressionism.  I take that back.  Maybe Turner.  ...If I'm not mistaken, it took him two years to complete this.  And he worked out of Giverny, where he was frequently..."        Gil, interrupting: "I heard that Monet, one of the things that he used to try..."         Inez (Gil's fiance, who's infatuated with the blabber-head): "Shh!  I'm trying to hear what Paul is saying."        Paul, continuing his diatribe: "Well, he was frequently visited by Caillebotte, an artist who I personally feel was underrated..."         Later, they stand in front of a surreal Picasso (a cartoonish, distorted abstract of a nude female - nothing objectionable)...       Paul: "Ah. Now, here's a superb Picasso.  If I'm not mistaken, he painted this marvelous portrait of his French mistress, Madeline Brissou, in the '20's."        Gil (who was magically IN the 1920's earlier in the film and met Picasso and the subject of this exact painting): "Uh, Paul, I'm going to have to differ with you on this one."      Paul (smugly): "Really?"   Inez: "Gil. Just pay attention.  You might learn something."      Gil (ignoring her): "Well, if I'm not mistaken, this was a failed attempt to capture a young French girl named Adriana from Bordeaux, if my art history serves me, who came to Paris to study costume design for the theater.  And I'm pretty sure she had an affair with Modigliani, then Braque, which is how Pablo met her.  Picasso.  Of course, what you don't get from this portrait, is the subtlety in her beauty.  She was just a knockout."   Everyone just stares at him.

Gil goes back in time to the 1920's and again meets up with Adriana. But instead of staying in the girl's present time, they both take a carriage back to the 1890's - HER favorite romanticized past.  The two discuss how they should proceed when someone at a restaurant offers her a creative job....       Adriana: "Let's never go back to the '20s. ...We should stay here.  It's the start of La Belle Epoque.  It's the greatest, most beautiful era Paris has ever known!"       Gil: "Yeah, but what about the '20's, and the Charleston, and the Fitzgeralds, and the Hemingways?  I mean, I love those guys."       Adriana: "But, it's the present.  It's dull."         Gil: "Dull?  Well, it's not MY present.  I'm from 2010. ...I dropped in on you the same way we're dropping in on the 1890's.  ...I was trying to escape my present the same way you're trying to escape yours, to a golden age."      Adriana: "Surely you don't think the '20s are a golden age."      Gil: "Yeah, to me, they are."        Adriana: "But I'm from the '20's, and I'm telling you the golden age is La Belle Epoque."         Gil: "I mean, look at these guys (creative icons from the 1890's, sitting at a table)  To them, their golden age was the Renaissance.  They'd rather trade La Belle Epoque to be painting alongside Titian and Michelangelo.  And those guys probably imagine life was a lot better when Kublai Khan was around.  I'm having an insight now.  It's a minor one, but it explains the anxiety in my dream that I had (about not having enough antibiotics in life). ...Adriana, if you stay here, though, and this becomes your present, then pretty soon you'll start imagining ANOTHER time was really your golden time.  Yeah, that's what the present is.  It's a little unsatisfying because life's a little unsatisfying."

Fiances Gil and Inez are in their Paris hotel room having a fight...      Inez: "You just put this in perspective when we get home."      Gil: "I'm not going back."        Inez: "I'm sorry, what?"       Gil: "I'm staying here.  And it has nothing to do with your romantic fling.  Paris is Paris.  Inez, you and I, it's obvious we're not... I don't thing we're right for each other."        There's a knock on the door and her parents enter.         Dad: "You ready to go swimming?"         Inez: "We're breaking up."          Dad/Mom: "What?!"        Inez: "Yeah, Gil's moving to Paris."          Mom: "I knew it!  I told you."        Dad: "What's going on?"           Gil: "No, no, I'm going to stay in Paris..."        Inez: "With who, Gil?"        Gil: "With no one."        Inez: "All your crazy, hallucinatory friends?  I mean, Mom's right about you, you know?  You have this part missing."       Dad, to Gil: "Yeah, I said that first."          ...Gil: "Listen, I'm not trying to be a martyr, but I think you'll be better off without me.  I really do."        Mom: "Well, WE would."     Dad: "Yeah, you got that right."       Inez, opening the door: "Go ahead.  Go ahead!  Walk the streets.  Gush over the Parisian light and the rooftops!"         Gil, leaving: "Okay.  Goodbye, Inez."
