ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Marty hugs his teenage daughter, Jane, as she cries.  (Jane and her mother have just had an argument.)  Jane: "I can be as tough as she is.  She's a bully.  And she needs everyone to know how smart she is."  Marty tries to get Jane to see that her mother's actions are out of love: "Grandma Celia died when Mom was about your age.  But, up until her dying breath, they would read together, debate ideas together, and she taught your mom to question everything.  She's not trying to bully you, Jane.  She wants to give you what her mom taught her.  That's how she shows her heart."


Justin Theroux

The doctor enters the room and looks at the patient in the bed with a sober sympathy: "It's as we feared."  Marty hears the word he has been dreading: cancer.  The doctor tries to temper his diagnosis with positivity, telling Marty and Ruth that there are cutting-edge treatments available: "There's a chance you can go on to a healthy, happy life, as if none of this had happened."  Ruth looks the doctor square in the face: "What kind of a chance?  We'd rather know what we're facing."  The doctor hesitates a moment before responding: "The survival rate for testicular cancer has been about five percent."  Marty chuckles wryly: "Thanks for the honesty.  I think."  When the doctor leaves the room, Ruth lies down on the bed next to her husband.  Marty begins to cry.  Ruth takes his face in her hands, speaking firmly: "We're never giving up.  You keep working.  Keep studying.  Jane will have her father.  You will be a lawyer.  I am spending my life with you, Marty Ginsburg."  Marty smiles through his tears.


Ruth is interviewing for a position in a law firm.  Mr. Greene looks at her resumé and is amazed: "Graduating top of your class.  Law Review at Harvard.  And Columbia.  I didn't even know that was possible."  Ruth smiles: "I've worked hard."  Mr. Greene wonders aloud why, with her academic qualifications, Ruth isn't applying at a larger firm.  He looks at Ruth knowingly: "How many have you been to?  They all turned you down, right?  How many?"  Ruth wryly admits that twelve law firms have already turned her down for a position.  Greene, fully aware of why Ruth has so far been denied a job: "A woman, a mother, and a Jew to boot.  I'm surprised that many let you through the door."  Ruth: "One sent me to interview for the secretarial pool.  Another told me I'd be too busy at bake sales to be effective.  One partner closes clients in the locker room at his club, so he said I'd be out of the loop.  Last week, I was told women are too emotional to be lawyers.  Then, that same afternoon, that a woman graduating top of her class must be a real ball-buster and wouldn't make a good colleague.  I was asked when I'd have my next baby, and whether I keep Shabbat.  One interviewer told me I had a sterling resumé, but they hired a woman last year, and what in the world would they want with two of us?"  (Caution: "ball-buster" spoken)


The Dean of Harvard Law School is addressing the incoming class of law students.  Dean: "Take a moment to look around you.  In this room, there are Rhodes and Fulbright Scholars, Phi Beta Kappa members, student body presidents, and a Harvard football team captain.  Together, you will become lawyers.  This is a privilege you share.  It is also a responsibility you accept.  Consider, what does it mean to be a Harvard man?  A Harvard man is intelligent, of course, but he is also tenacious.  He is a leader devoted to the rule of law.  He is mindful of his country, loyal to tradition, and he is respectful and protective of our institutions."


Ruth is arguing a case of gender discrimination before the state supreme court.  She uses the example of a 100-year-old court case to show that a number of laws have been written and interpreted in order to discriminate against women.  Ruth: "A hundred years ago, Myra Bradwell wanted to be a lawyer.  She had fulfilled the requirements for the Illinois bar, but she wasn't allowed to practice because she was a woman.  An injustice she asked the Supreme Court to correct.  Illinois was so confident of victory, they didn't even send a lawyer to argue their side.  They were right.  She lost.  That was the first time someone went to court to challenge his or her prescribed gender role.  A hundred years ago.  Radical...social...change."  Ruth uses other examples to illustrate her point, citing a case where women were denied the right to work overtime because of their gender and another case where women were not allowed to sit on a jury.  Each new case built on the previous one until there were 178 laws that differentiated on the basis of gender.  Ruth: "That is the legacy the government asks you to uphold today.  You are being urged to protect the culture and traditions and morality of an America that no longer exists.  A generation ago, my students would have been arrested for indecency for wearing the clothes that they do.  Sixty-five years ago, it would have been unimaginable that my daughter would aspire to a career.  And a hundred years ago, I would not have the right to stand before you."  


The government attorneys are in a meeting, discussing strategy for their upcoming gender discrimination lawsuit.  Brown presents the idea that what they really need to do is to get the judges to understand that anti-gender discrimination laws will change the country forever.  Brown: "Paint the judges a picture of the America that will exist if they rule the wrong way.  Children running home from school to find no one's there.  Mommy's at the office or on a factory floor."  Griswold chimes in on his theme: "Man and woman vie for the same job, she can work for less.  What is a man without a paycheck to take care of his family?"  Brown: "What woman would want him?"  Jim: "Wages would go down.  Divorce rates would soar.  The very fabric of our society would begin to unravel."  Griswold: "The judges are deciding what kind of country, what kind of society, they want their children and grandchildren to grow up in.  You make sure the court sees what's at stake is the American family."
