ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Geppetto sits up in bed excitedly, seeing the bright light of the "wishing star" streaming in through his window.  He kneels before the window, folding his hands as if in prayer: "Star light, star bright.  First star I see tonight.  I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight."  Geppetto then asks for the desire of his heart...for his puppet Pinocchio to be a real boy.  Jiminy Cricket, watching the scene from his bed, comments on Geppetto's wish: "A very lovely thought, but not at all practical."

In response to Geppetto's wish, the Blue Fairy has come to bring Pinocchio to life.  As Pinocchio awakens, his self-awareness dawns, and he asks the fairy: "Am I a real boy?"  Fairy: "No, Pinocchio.  To make Geppetto's wish come true will be entirely up to you.  Prove yourself brave, truthful, and unselfish, and someday you will be a real boy.  You must learn to choose between right and wrong."  Pinocchio is confused: "Right and wrong?  But how will I know?"  Fairy: "Your conscience will tell you."  Pinocchio, naively: "What are conscience?"  Jiminy Cricket, who has been eavesdropping on their conversation, suddenly drops into the middle of it, answering: "The conscience is that still, small voice that people won't listen to.  That's the trouble with the world today."  Pinocchio asks Jiminy: "Are you my conscience?"  The Blue Fairy laughs and asks Jiminy if he wants to be Pinocchio's conscience.  Jiminy agrees, and the fairy directs him to kneel, tapping him with her wand: "I dub you Pinocchio's conscience, Lord High Keeper of the knowledge of right and wrong, counselor in moments of temptation, and guide along the straight and narrow path."  As the fairy departs, she warns Pinocchio to always let his conscience be his guide.

Jiminy Cricket has just been appointed Pinocchio's conscience.  Taking his job seriously, he tells Pinocchio to sit down so they can have a talk.  Jiminy: "Now, you see, the world is full of temptations."  Pinocchio, naively: "Temptations?"  Jiminy: "Yep.  Temptations.  They're the wrong things that seem right at the time.  But...even though the right things may seem wrong, sometimes, uh, sometimes the...the wrong things may be right at the wrong time, or, uh, vice versa.  Understand?"  Although confused, Pinocchio promises that he wants to do what's right.  Jiminy: "Atta boy, Pinocch!  And I'm gonna help you."  Jiminy teaches Pinocchio how to whistle to call for help whenever he feels tempted.  Jiminy, singing: ♪ "When you get in trouble and you don't know right from wrong, give a little whistle.  When you meet temptation and the urge is very strong, give a little whistle.  Take the straight and narrow path and if you start to slide, give a little whistle.  And always let your conscience be your guide." ♪

"Honest" John Foulfellow and his crony, Gideon, are walking down the street when they spot Pinocchio on his way to school.  The con men immediately spot an opportunity to line their own pockets by using the string-less marionette.  Following Pinocchio, they stage an encounter with the boy.  Honest John takes Pinocchio's school book, pretending to be impressed with his book learning:  "Quite a scholar, I see."  Pinocchio, brightly: "I'm going to school!"  Honest John: "School?  Ah, yes.  Then you haven't heard of the easy road to success?"  Pulling Pinocchio in close to his face, Honest John takes on a conspiratorial air.  "I'm speaking, my boy, of the theater!  Bright lights!  Music!  Applause!  Fame!"  Pinocchio: "Fame?"  Honest John tells Pinocchio that he is obviously a natural-born actor.  The boy protests slightly, turning to head back toward school.  Honest John pulls him back, promising Pinocchio a life of fame and glory in the theater.  Putting his arm around the boy's shoulder, he leads him away, singing: ♪ "Hi-diddly-dee, an actor's life for me.  A high silk hat and a silver cane.  A watch of gold with a diamond chain.  Hi-diddly-day, an actor's life is gay.  It's great to be a celebrity!  An actor's life for me!" ♪

Having overslept on his first day as Pinocchio's conscience, Jiminy Cricket is rushing to catch up with the boy as he heads toward school.  Jiminy is stunned when he spies him in the company of two con men, headed in the opposite direction of the school house.  Jiminy tries repeatedly to get Pinocchio's attention, finally succeeding.  When Pinocchio tells Honest John that his conscience is speaking to him, John puts it all down to the boy's imagination.  When John is momentarily distracted by Gideon, Jiminy takes the opportunity to take Pinocchio aside for a little heart-to-heart chat.  Pinocchio, excitedly: "I'm going to be an actor!"  Jiminy:  "Remember what I said about temptation?"  Pinocchio nods: "Uh huh."  Jiminy points at Honest John: "Well, that's him."  Pinocchio, naively: "No, Jiminy.  That's Mr. Honest John."  Jiminy instructs Pinocchio to say goodbye to Honest John and return to school.  Pinocchio nods, but when Honest John calls him back to the theater, he forgets all about Jiminy's words and leaves with Honest John.

Pinocchio is sitting in a cage in the back of the evil Stromboli's wagon, crying.  The boy skipped school to join the theater, but found that the promises of fame led only to imprisonment (see Scene # CV06111).  Jiminy Cricket is trying to comfort the distressed boy when he sees the Blue Fairy's star beginning to descend on the wagon.  Pinocchio, ashamed of his behavior, worries about the fairy's reaction: "What'll she say?  What'll I tell her?"  Jiminy: "You might tell her the truth!"  Pinocchio hides his head in his arms, his guilt preventing him from looking the fairy in the eye.  When the fairy arrives, she kindly confronts Pinocchio: "Pinocchio, why didn't you go to school?"  Pinocchio hesitates, trying to think of a good excuse.  Jiminy: "Go ahead, tell her!"  Ignoring Jiminy, Pinocchio fabricates a tale of two monsters waylaying him on his way to school.  Immediately after he speaks the lie, Pinocchio's wooden nose grows a few inches.  He continues his false tale, however, and each time he speaks a new lie, his nose grows another few inches.  Finally, it is a flowering branch, complete with a bird's nest.  Pinocchio: "Oh, look!  My nose!  What's happened?"  Fairy: "Perhaps you haven't been telling the truth, Pinocchio."  Pinocchio: "Oh, but I have!  Every single word."  The branch suddenly dies, sending leaves and petals scattering to the floor.  Pinocchio is now desperate enough to tell the truth: "Oh, please help me.  I'm awful sorry."  Blue Fairy: "You see, Pinocchio, a lie keeps growing and growing until it's as plain as the nose on your face."  Jiminy: "She's right, Pinocch.  You'd better come clean."  Pinocchio, pleading: "I'll never lie again, honest I won't."  Blue Fairy: "I'll forgive you this once.  But remember, a boy who won't be good might just as well be made of wood."  The fairy releases Pinocchio from his cage.

The Pleasure Island coachman has brought another wagon-load of naughty boys to the island.  The boys gleefully jump off the wagon and enter the fortress, full of anticipation for the promised pleasures.  Carnival music can be heard in the background as a voice draws the boys inside: "Right here, boys.  Right here.  Cake, pie, dill pickles, and ice cream.  Eat all you can!  Be a glutton!  Stuff yourselves!  It's all free, boys."  The atmosphere is like a chaotic fair.  Fireworks light the sky, rides and games crowd the street, and temptations are everywhere.  Pinocchio and Lampwick head towards the Roughhouse, a tent full of fighting boys.  A voice calls out to them: "Come in and pick a fight, boys!"  Lampwick excitedly draws Pinocchio into the tent: "Come on, let's go in and poke somebody in the nose."  Pinocchio: "Why?"  Lampwick: "Aw, just for the fun of it."  Pinocchio: "Okay, Lampy!"  The boys go inside and participate in the all-out brawl.  On a nearby street, Tobacco Row is luring another crowd of boys inside: "Come in and smoke your heads off."  Mechanical statues toss cigars at eager little hands.  Nearby, the Model Home is open for destruction.  A beautiful house is filled with boys breaking, smashing, tearing, and destroying its contents.  Pinocchio and Lampwick are inside, participating in the destruction.  Lampwick, lighting a cigar: "What'd I tell ya?  Ain't this a swell joint?"  Pinocchio, brightly: "Yeah!  Bein' bad's a lot of fun!"  Outside, the coachman orders his demon-like henchmen to close the doors of the fortress, locking the boys in.  Coachman, smiling evilly as he watches the boys: "Give a bad boy enough rope, and he'll soon make a jackass of himself."

Lampwick and Pinocchio are playing pool and smoking cigars.  Pinocchio puffs gently on his cigar, inexperienced in the art of smoking.  Lampwick, mocking him, encourages the boy to take a big puff.  Pinocchio complies, and his face turns from white to red to green.  Tears fill his eyes, and his stomach turns.  Lampwick: "Some fun, huh, kid?"  Pinocchio smiles through his pain, attempting to continue playing pool.  He is dizzily eyeing the ball when Jiminy Cricket suddenly enters the room, confronting Pinocchio for his sins.  Lampwick picks up the cricket, asking Pinocchio who he is.  Pinocchio: "He's my conscience!  He tells me what's right and wrong."  Lampwick quickly drops Jiminy as if burned: "What?  You mean to tell me, you take orders from a grasshopper?"  Lampwick knocks Jiminy into a pocket of the pool table.

Jiminy Cricket enters a room on Pleasure Island, hearing the sound of donkeys braying.  He watches as donkeys wearing boys' clothes are loaded into crates bound for destinations around the world.  When some of the donkeys begin to talk, begging to be returned to their mothers, Jiminy realizes they are really boys whose sin has turned them into donkeys.  The coachmen yells at the boys to stop their whining: "You boys have had your fun.  Now pay for it!"  Jiminy rushes off to save Pinocchio before he is turned into a donkey.   Back in the pool hall, Lampwick's process of transformation has just begun.  While the boy takes a swig of beer, two long ears sprout from his head.  Lampwick waves his hand flippantly at the idea of right and wrong: "Conscience!  Ah, phooey!"  A tail sprouts from his behind.  Pinocchio watches in horror as Lampwick is completely transformed into a "jackass".  When Lampwick realizes what has happened, he is desperate.  He runs around the room, screaming for help.  But it is too late, his transformation into a donkey is complete and his cries for his mother turn into the brays of a donkey.

Pinocchio and Geppetto are now trapped inside the belly of the whale together.  When Pinocchio asks for the way out, Geppetto shakes his head hopelessly: "Get out?  Oh, no, no, son.  I've tried every way."  Geppetto shows Pinocchio the raft he built in a previous failed escape attempt.  Geppetto: "It's hopeless, Pinocchio."  Geppetto suggests they make the best of their bad situation and build a fire to cook some fish.  With the suggestion of a fire, Pinocchio brightens suddenly, beginning to run furiously around, collecting all the wood he can find.  Pinocchio tells Geppetto his plan of using the smoke of the fire to cause the whale to sneeze them out of his mouth.  As the whale begins to gasp for breath, Pinocchio and Geppetto frantically push the raft against the current towards its open mouth.  Geppetto remains hopeless: "It won't work!"  Undaunted, Pinocchio encourages his father to continue pushing.  Geppetto: "We'll never get by those teeth!"  Pinocchio: "Yes, we will!"  On their first attempt, the raft is sneezed out of the whale, only to be sucked back in.  Geppetto again wants to give up: "It's no use!"  Pinocchio insists they keep trying, and, this time, the raft is sneezed out permanently.  Pinocchio: "We made it!"

The giant whale Monstro is chasing Geppetto and Pinocchio, angry that they escaped from his stomach.  The two try furiously to get away on their raft, but the tiny craft is soon destroyed and they find themselves floating helplessly in the ocean.  Geppetto, worn out from his exertion, begs Pinocchio to save himself.  Pinocchio ignores his request, swimming quickly towards his father and pulling his head out from under the water.  Pinocchio then swims toward shore, dragging Geppetto along behind him.  Monstro, still chasing them, makes one final attempt at swallowing them.  At the last second, Pinocchio is able to pull Geppetto to safety inside the rocky harbor.  Geppetto washes up on shore, mumbling incoherently for Pinocchio to save himself.  On another part of the beach, Jiminy Cricket goes in search of Pinocchio, finding him facedown in a puddle of water, dead.

Geppetto is kneeling at the bed where Pinocchio lies, mourning the loss of his son.  Suddenly, a soft blue light fills the room, and the voice of the Blue Fairy repeats the promise she once gave to Pinocchio: "Prove yourself brave, truthful, and unselfish, and someday you will be a real boy.  Awake, Pinocchio.  Awake."  Pinocchio's face of wood softens into the flesh of a living boy, and he sits up, rubbing his eyes.  He sees Geppetto crying: "Father!  Whatcha crying for?"  Geppetto, without lifting his head from the bed: "Because you're dead, Pinocchio."  Pinocchio, smiling: "No!  No, I'm not!"  Geppetto, mournfully: "Yes, yes, you are.  Now, lie down."  Pinocchio: "But Father!  I'm alive, see?  And I'm...I'm..."  Pinocchio feels his new, soft skin in amazement: "I'm a real boy!"  Geppetto finally sits up, staring in awe at his son's new body.  He picks him up in his arms: "You're alive!  And you are a real boy!"
