ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Gibbs has been captured by the British government and is on trial for piracy.  In a case of mistaken identity, Gibbs is accused of being the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow.  The trial is a sham from the beginning.  The court officer is covertly handed a roll of money as a bribe, and Captain Jack Sparrow himself is disguised as the judge.  Gibbs proclaims his innocence before the judge and the jury, but the bloodthirsty crowd is anxious to see a hanging.  Without hearing any evidence or allowing any testimony, the "judge" asks the jury foreman to render a verdict.  The foreman is shocked: "No trial?  But aren't we here to examine the evidence?"  The judge demands an answer, openly suggesting the verdict be "guilty."  Bowing to the wishes of the bloodthirsty crowd and the corrupt judge, the jury finds Gibbs guilty.  Gibbs throws his hands in the air: "That's not fair!"  Silencing the prisoner, the judge sentences him to life imprisoned in the Tower.

The evil pirate Blackbeard has just frustrated an attempt at mutiny onboard his ship.  He confronts Jack Sparrow, the instigator of the mutiny, with a loaded pistol, preparing to kill him.  Blackbeard's daughter protests on Jack's behalf, but Blackbeard isn't deterred.  Blackbeard: "If I don't kill a man every now and then, they forget who I am."  Before he can complete the deed, however, Blackbeard is confronted by the ship's missionary.  The missionary believes that Blackbeard is afraid to leave his terrible reputation behind and walk in righteousness.  Blackbeard insists that his desire to kill stems from simpler motives: "I am a bad man."  When Blackbeard's daughter supports the missionary, he looks at her with amazement: "My daughter fears for my soul, or what's left of it.  You truly wish to save me, my child?"  Angelica: "Every soul can be saved."  Blackbeard, knowing full well the blackness of his own heart, looks at the missionary in doubt: "Be that true, young cleric?"  Missionary: "Yes, though you I see as a bit of a long shot."

Blackbeard, after frustrating a planned mutiny (see Scene # CV04960 for background), decides to punish the man who stood watch.  Discovering it to be the ship's cook, he orders the man into a row boat and aims the ship's guns at the small craft.  While others plead for the pirate to show mercy, Blackbeard's heart remains hardened.  He fires on the boat and it is engulfed in flames.  Blackbeard smiles, watching the boat burn.  He turns to Philip, a missionary who has tried to save Blackbeard's soul: "You know when I feel closest to our Maker?  When I see suffering, pain, and anguish.  That's when the true design of this world is revealed."  Philip: "And I see it revealed when, in times of hardship and tragedy, kindness and compassion are shown to those in need."  Blackbeard fires on the boat again.

Blackbeard informs Jack that his death has been predicted by a clairvoyant shipmate.  It is for this reason that the dread pirate desires to find the Fountain of Youth.  Blackbeard believes that this destiny is set in stone.  Jack: "You have a ridiculously high regard for fate, mate."  Blackbeard: "It would be foolish to battle fate, but I'd be tempted to cheat it."

Captain Barbossa's crew has just learned that their mission will take them through deadly mermaid waters.  (Mermaids are portrayed as vicious man-eaters).  Fearful, the men are on the verge of mutiny when Barbossa inspires them with these words: "Gentlemen.  I shall not ask more of any man than what that man can deliver.  But I do ask this...are we not king's men?  On the king's mission?  I did not note any fear in the eyes of the Spanish as they passed us by."  He raises his voice to ask again: "Are we not king's men?"  The men all shout: "Aye!"

Scrum and his fellow shipmates have been set adrift in a small boat, left as bait for the vicious mermaids.  Although the men are aware of the reputation of the man-eaters, they are still stunned by the beauty of one as she surfaces beside their boat.  Scrum in particular is under her spell.  Against the advice of his friends, he gives in to his desire and speaks with her.  Singing to him in a deep, sultry voice, the dewy-eyed mermaid draws Scrum deeper and deeper into her gaze.  The boat is now surrounded by beautiful mermaids, and the men are transfixed.  Scrum has fallen so deep into oblivion that his face is underwater.  Suddenly, his mermaid bares her fangs and hisses.  The mermaids go into a frenzy around the boat, and the spell of lust is quickly broken as fear takes its place.  (Caution: the mermaids are bare-chested, although no actual nudity is shown)

Jack is beginning to worry that his mission to find the Fountain of Youth may end his life.  He decides to take steps to cover his bases.  He approaches Philip, the missionary.  Jack: "Clergyman.  On the off chance that this does not go well for me, I would like it noted here and now that I am fully prepared to believe in whatever I must, so that I may be welcomed into that place where all the goody-goodies get to go.  Savvy?"  Philip: "We have a word for that, Jack.  You can convert."  Jack isn't prepared to make a full commitment unless his life is really about to end: "I was thinking more of an as-needed basis."

Barbossa has travelled far to seek revenge against the pirate Blackbeard for stealing his leg and his ship.  He confronts him, and the two men face each other, swords drawn.  Barbossa's crew and Blackbeard's crew are just about to engage in a bloody battle when Jack Sparrow stops them.  Jack, throwing out his arms: "Whoa!  Hang on a minute!  I just...I just need to understand something."  He points at Barbossa's men: "Right, so, you will fight against them (pointing to Blackbeard's men), they will fight against you.  All on account of him (Barbossa) wanting to kill him (Blackbeard)?  Where is the sense?"  Scrum nods his agreement.  Jack: "I say, let them fight each other while we lay back, watch, have a drink, place some wagers, eh?"  Scrum, sheathing his sword happily: "Aye."  The others are more bloodthirsty, however, and leap excitedly into battle when Barbossa and Blackbeard suddenly give the order.  Soon, every man is engaged in a fierce battle.

The evil pirate Blackbeard and his crew have come to the Fountain of Life seeking immortality.  Before they can perform the necessary ritual, however, the Spaniard and his men arrive, bent on destroying the fountain in God's name.  The Spaniard smashes the chalices needed for the ritual, declaring so all can hear: "Only God can grant eternal life, not this pagan water."  He orders his men to destroy the temple.  Blackbeard approaches the Spaniard with his sword drawn.  Spaniard: "You are a fool.  You seek in this place what only faith can provide."

Both Blackbeard and his daughter, Angelica, have been poisoned and are dying.  Jack brings them two cups containing water from the Fountain of Life.  One cup will give life, one take life.  He offers the life-giving one to Angelica, who refuses to take life from her father.  Jack: "I cannot save you both.  One of you must sacrifice."  Angelica, worried for her father's soul, encourages him to save himself.  Jack wants the pirate to sacrifice himself: "She's dying.  You must save your daughter."  Blackbeard grabs the cup that Jack says gives life and drinks it quickly down before Jack can stop him.  Angelica's face registers surprise and hurt.  Blackbeard points to the other cup: "Angelica, save me, my child."  Angelica grabs the other cup and drinks it down: "I love you, Father."

Gibbs asks Jack why he gave up the chance at eternal life from the Fountain of Youth.  Jack: "The Fountain does test you, Gibbs.  But better to not know which moment may be your last.  Every morsel of your entire being alive to the infinite mystery of it all.  And, who's to say I won't live forever, eh?  Discoverer of the Fountain of Youth.  I have no say in it, Gibbs.  It's a pirate's life for me."
