ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Ruby looks down at her hands, seeing tentacles starting to form.   Suddenly, the coolest girl in school approaches her: "And you are?"  Ruby, drenched in water and trying to hide her tentacles, awkwardly introduces herself.  Chelsea: "Ok, maybe it's the whole 'don't look at me' vibe, but there's something different about you."  Chelsea stares hard at Ruby, who withers under her gaze.  She looks around at the crowd of people, suddenly noticing that everyone is staring at her.  She shrinks inside her own skin, wishing she was anywhere else.  People start to whisper about her: "What's wrong with her?"  "Yeah, that's awkward."  "What's her deal?"  Ruby breathes heavily, social anxiety overwhelming her.  Ruby: "I really gotta go.  Now."  She pushes her way out of the crowd.


Kirk De Micco

Margot is trying to convince Ruby to disobey her mom and go to prom.  (Ruby's family has a strict no-ocean-contact rule and this year's prom is on a boat.  See clip #)  She reminds her of all the things Ruby has missed out on because of her mom's "irrational" rule.  Ruby tells her friends to go ahead and go without her.  Trevin: "Uh, what if you don't tell her?"  Margot: "Trevin's right.  Your mom doesn't have to know."  Bliss: "Deception.  I'm on board."  Trevin: "Come on, Ruby, do it!"  Others: "Do it!"  Ruby hesitates: "I want to, but if my mom finds out..."  Margot: "Life is not a dress rehearsal!"  Ruby: "You're right.  Okay, I'll do it.  I'll go to prom!"  Margot: "Yes!"


Ruby is trying to stop the evil Narissa from destroying the Kraken kingdom.  Narissa knocks Ruby down with the magical trident: "You'll never win, Ruby Gillman.  You're just a dumb teenager."  Ruby shoots Narissa with her laser eyes, knocking the trident out of her hand.  She swims up to her mother and grandmother: "We need to shoot the trident together!"  Agatha: "It can't be destroyed."  But Ruby assures them it can be if they join together at the same time.  The three stand to face Narissa together.  Narissa, gripping the weapon tightly: "You'll never get this away from me!"  Ruby: "Maybe I can't...but we can!"  The three Kraken focus their laser beams on the trident.  It explodes, leaving Narissa powerless.


Faryn Pearl

Ruby has just learned that the ocean causes her to turn into a giant Kraken.  She looks down at her tentacled hands in disgust: "I was already a little weird, but this!  I can't hide this!"  Mom: "Yes, you can."  Ruby: "You don't get it, Mom.  Every single day, I make sure no one notices all the ways that I am different.  I push my hair in front of my gills and I stand like I have a spine.  It's hard, but this is impossible!"  Mom tells Ruby that she has hidden it for years and Ruby can too, but this just makes Ruby feel even  more isolated from her peers.  She looks down at her phone, seeing her friends all posting about her, calling her a monster.


Lana Condor

Ruby has made a promotional video on why she should get to go to prom.  While her parents don't have anything against the dance itself, this year's prom is on a boat, and the Kraken family has a hard rule against any ocean contact.  Ruby's video gives all of the reasons why she should get to go to prom, none the least of which is to fit in.  Ruby: "I love rules.  I really, really do.  But the prom boat is ON the water, not IN the water."  Finally, she does a short bio on the ship's captain: "I trust him with my life, and so should you.  And that is why I, Ruby Gillman, should go to prom.  Please, please, please, please, please!"  Mom, smiling: "Strong presentation.  I like the energy, but it's still a no, honey."  Ruby: "But mom..."  Mom is firm: "Trust me, Ruby.  I know what's best for you.  And what's best is to always stay on land.  It's much safer for us."  Dad pitches in: "Sorry, Tadpole.  Mom's right."


Ruby has just recovered the trident and holds it out to Chelsea: "We did it!"  The mermaid takes the trident: "I've waited 15 years for this.  15 years of waiting to get revenge on your mother, dethrone your grandmother, and lay waste to the Kraken kingdom!"  Ruby is stunned to learn that the mermaid she thought was her friend is really her greatest enemy.  Chelsea the beautiful mermaid transforms into Narissa, the vicious Queen of the undersea monsters.  Ruby can't wrap her mind around how she was deceived, and her confusion leaves her vulnerable to Narissa's attack.  The mermaid stabs Ruby with the trident, wounding her arm: "You're just a dumb teenager!"  Ruby: "I trusted you!"  Narissa, laughing: "You just got played, dum-dum."  She tosses Ruby aside, hurling a boulder directly at her.  


Agatha is flipping through pictures of herself and Ruby, longing for the days when their relationship wasn't strained.  Arthur tries to comfort his wife, reminding her that everything she has done has been to protect Ruby, but Agatha still worries.  Agatha: "What if she drops out of school?  What if she doesn't get a job and runs away like I did?  What if she hates me like I hate my mom?"  Arthur hugs his wife: "She loves you.  She'll never run away."  While they've been talking, Ruby, wearing dark sunglasses, slithers across the floor in an attempt to leave without their noticing.  Both parents spot Ruby as she tries to sneak out of the house.  Arthur: "This doesn't help my case."  Agatha approaches Ruby, trying to mend bridges by asking a lot of peppy questions: "Did you sleep okay?  Everything back to normal?"  Ruby, arms crossed: "Totally fine."  Agatha takes off her sunglasses: "Are you sure?  You look a little flushed."  Ruby pushes away: "I'm fine, really."  Agatha sniffs, smelling salt water on Ruby's breath, but Ruby denies it.  (Ruby isn't allowed near the ocean, but she snuck out and went to it the night before.)  Ruby quickly pulls the door shut: "I gotta go!"  Agatha stops the door: "I just really want you to know that you never have to hide things from me."  Ruby mutters under her breath and walks away.  Agatha, calling after her: "Love you!  Make good choices!"  Agatha's shoulders sag and she sighs heavily as the door closes behind her daughter.  On the other side of the door, Ruby does the same thing.

When Ruby sees her crush, Connor, walk into the building, she is immediately transported into fantasy land.  She imagines him accepting her invitation to prom while the two of them dance amid glowing hearts.  In her dream, they lean in for a hug.  A voice wakes her from her reverie: "Ruby?"  She opens dreamy eyes, seeing the live Connor standing before her.  Startled, she realizes that she had acted out her dream hug by embracing the backpack hanging from another student's back.  Embarrassed, she lets go of the bag: "Hi.  Hi.  Hi.  Hi."  When Connor verifies they still have a tutoring session later, Ruby speaks before she thinks: "Anything for my alge-bae."  (Note: 'bae' is generally a term reserved for romantic relationships)  Connor: "Your what now?"  Ruby, humiliated, quickly corrects herself: "I mean bro.  Alge-bro, like you're my brother.  My math brother."  She squirms in embarrassment.  Connor: "You know, I think I like the first one better."  He skates away, leaving Ruby glowing at his hint of reciprocated feeling.
