ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Geoff and the others at ABC are watching live as a couple of German police officers sneak towards the room where the terrorists are holding the hostages.  The live broadcast shows a single man in a bright red track suit getting ready to enter what appears to be the ventilation system.  Geoff: "They don't seem prepared at all."  They continue to watch the lone man: "These cops have no idea what they're doing."  The employees begin talking about all the people around the world watching the broadcast when Hank suddenly recalls that every apartment within the Olympic Village itself is equipped with a color TV.  Geoff, for the first time realizing they might be broadcasting directly to the terrorists: "So, are they seeing what we're seeing?"  The others stare at him in dawning horror.  Geoff orders the camera to pan down to the terrorists' room.  The glowing light of an active television set can be seen.  The staff now know they have revealed the plan of attack directly to the terrorists.


Marv is watching footage of a ceremony at Dachau that memorializes the atrocities of the Holocaust.  A Jew himself, he watches with some emotion as the events from 27 years earlier are remembered.  The announcer on the footage verbalizes the hope of reconciliation between German and Jew with the advent of the 1972 Olympics in Munich.  A Jewish athlete stoops before the memorial to leave flowers as the announcer speaks: "Thanks to the Olympic spirit, a spirit that makes images possible that seemed impossible before."  The Jewish athlete himself is interviewed: "That's exactly what the Olympics are all about, you know.  We're here, we can talk to Germans, chat with athletes from Lebanon or Egypt.  This is what we've been dreaming about, you know, it's not just sports."  The footage cuts to a German official giving an interview and Marv turns to the German ABC employee behind him, asking her to translate.  Marianne: "He is saying that the Games are an opportunity to welcome the world to a new Germany.  To move on from the past."  Marv, sarcastically: "Yeah, sure."  Marianne, seeing his bitterness: "It's what we all hope for.  What else can we do but move on, try to be better?"  Marv makes a caustic remark about Marianne's parents' possible involvement in the tragedy, but quickly apologizes for it.  He holds out his hand to shake hers, introducing himself and extending the hope of reconciliation behind the scenes.


Geoff calls Roone as soon as he hears the news: "There's a hostage situation going on right now in the Olympic Village."  The words sound so fantastic to Roone he can't immediately take it in: "What're you talking about?"  Geoff repeats himself, telling his boss the violence was in the Israeli quarters.  Just then, German radio gives a news broadcast confirming rumors of the terrorist attack.  


An announcer narrates for the filming of a historical event.  For the first time in history, the 1972 summer Olympics are being broadcast live via satellite across the world.  The ABC announcer shows clips not just of the games, but also of the technology and the work that went into bringing the Olympics to the world.  Announcer: "Daytime to you means night shift for us, and we're operating around the clock here in Munich to ensure you don't miss a single moment of the action."  Inside the headquarters of ABC Sports in Germany, the team works together with precision to make the broadcast happen.  Roone stands at the back, overseeing everything that happens, his arms folded across his chest.  Only once does he interrupt his employees to change a creative direction.  Donald is the man in charge of the troops and his voice is nearly the only one heard in the room as he gives a constant stream of instructions to the dozens of people ready to obey his command.  A row of men sit at a console, pushing buttons to make his directions happen.  They move from camera shot to camera shot, eyeing every angle to maximize emotional impact.  The camera crews themselves run to catch up.  And, the end result is a seamless triumph of Olympic broadcasting.


The team at ABC have just broadcast a joyous end to the hostage crisis, the freeing of all of the Israeli hostages.  But news of a darker sort begins to filter in and Marv has just gotten off the phone with an inside contact.  His face is grim.  Roone: "What happened?"  Marv, his voice breaking: "All of them."  Geoff doesn't want to believe it is true until he hears it from his team on the ground.  Just then, Marianne calls in.  Geoff listens to what she is telling him.  Slowly, he hangs up and orders the cameras to focus on Jim.  He calls Jim, who is in the middle of a live broadcast with Peter Jennings.  Geoff somberly tells Jim the news.  Jim then tells the watching world: "Our worst fears have been realized tonight.  They're all gone.  The Israeli Olympic team is destroyed."


Geoff is directing the camera crew when the thought suddenly occurs to him: "Can we show someone being shot on live television?"  Everyone in the room knows about the noon deadline the terrorists gave for killing the hostages.  If they are broadcasting live, then they might just capture the murders for the world to watch.  Roone thinks for a moment before deciding in favor of filming everything: "We can't control what happens."  Marv is seriously disturbed by the idea: "Everyone will be watching us, including the hostages' families."  The three men move out to the hallway to discuss the issue in private.  Marv: "You don't want anybody to see their kid executed on live television."  Roone: "We have a bigger responsibility here."  Marv: "What about the sponsors?"  Roone: "The sponsors are not gonna be concerned.  All they care about are viewers."  Marv: "So, is that what we're trying to achieve here?  Ratings?"  Roone: "No, we're just...we're following the story, wherever it takes us."  Marv: "Let me ask you this.  Black September (the terrorists), they know the whole world is watching...if they shoot someone on live television, whose story is that?  Is it ours, or is it theirs?"


Hank and Gary are watching the footage of the talks between the hostage negotiator and the terrorist.  Gary, eyeing the slim woman in a powder-blue dress: "I can't believe she's the negotiator.  She doesn't strike me as the hard-boiled type."  Marianne: "Well, if the terrorists underestimate her like you do, she probably has a chance to get information."  Hank isn't convinced: "Just look.  She's asking him for a cigarette."  The terrorist and officer smoke casually together onscreen.  Marianne: "No, no, no.  She's earning his trust."
