ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Movie Ideas, Movie Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 4,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including all the titles that  part of the ScreenVue Vault.

All such service providers are contractually required to keep your data safe, use it only for the purposes agreed, and delete it when it is no longer required. They have agreed not share it, nor use it for their marketing purposes.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Movie Ideas, Movie Views, and Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of content: 
- *Movie Ideas*: Has the "light-bulb icon," where you would use your own movie (Digital, Stream, Blu-ray, or DVD you already have access to) with our cues and details; as this idea is not available as a View or Download.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Over lunch, Alice talks with her youngest daughter, Lydia, who wants to pursue acting instead of going to college. Alice brings it up, then immediately asks her to forget the conversation ever happened. “Forgotten,” Lydia replies.

Dr. Alice Howland, a linguistics professor at Columbia University, suddenly forgets a word in the middle of a lecture.

After getting lost on a familiar jog, Alice wakes her husband later that night and tries to explain what’s happening to her. “Something’s wrong with me,” she says. “They think it might be early Alzheimer’s. I’m really scared.” When he brushes off her fears, Alice grows frustrated, finally shouting, “My brain is dying!” (Caution: profanity)

Alice is lying, sleepless, in bed.  Her husband snores peacefully next to her, but Alice's anxiety about a recent medical test is preventing her from sleeping.  She turns at looks at the clock.  It is almost two o'clock in the morning.  Frustrated, Alice gets up and takes a sleeping pill.  She returns to bed.  Two and a half hours later, Alice is still staring at the ceiling, consumed by worry.

Alice and John have gathered their adult children together to break the news that Alice has Alzheimer's disease.  Struggling to know how to begin, the two hesitate so long that the children begin to worry their parents are getting divorced.  Finally, Alice tells them of her illness.  The children are stunned that their beautiful, brilliant, fifty-year-old mother could possibly have such a sickness.  To Alice, however, the worst news is that the disease is passed on genetically.  She has to tell her children that they are all in danger of contracting the debilitating disease themselves.  Alice begins to cry, heartbroken that the gene comes through her: "I'm sorry."

Alice has been diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease.  Seeing her mind waste quickly away, Alice has formed a plan to commit suicide when she becomes too ill to care for herself.  She types several basic questions into her phone and determines to answer them every day.  At the bottom of the questions, she leaves a message for herself:  if there ever comes a day when she can no longer answer the questions, she is to open a file on her computer and follow the instructions.  Alice then films a video of herself and saves it in the file.  In the video, Alice gives her future self instructions on how to commit suicide: "I guess you've reached that point...the point where you can no longer answer any of the questions.  So, this is the next logical step.  I'm sure of it."  Alice hides a bottle full of pills in the back of her dresser.  Video Alice: "It is very important that you swallow them all.  And then lie down and go to sleep.  And don't tell anyone what you're doing."

When Lydia notices her mother's butterfly necklace, Alice tells her the story of where she got it.  As a child, Alice had been fascinated by butterflies, but crushed when she learned they only live for one month.  When she came to her mother for consolation, her mother gave her the necklace, saying: "They have a nice life.  They have a really beautiful life."  Alice tells Lydia that the short, but beautiful life of the butterfly always reminds her of her mother and sister, who were killed in a car accident many years earlier.  She feels the analogy also fits her own life and predictably early death from a rare form of Alzheimer's disease.

Lydia asks her mother what it feels like to be an Alzheimer's patient.  Alice tells her that she has good days and bad days, but her bad days make her feel like she has lost who she is.  Alice: "I've always been so defined by my intellect, my language, my articulation, and now, sometimes, I can see the words hanging in front of me, and I can't reach them and I don't know who I am.  And I don't know what I'm going to lose next."  Lydia, genuinely moved: "That sounds horrible."  Alice, sincere: "Thanks for asking."

Alice has been asked to give a speech to the Alzheimer's Association.  She takes the podium, a highlighter in her hand to help prevent her from repeating lines of her speech.  Alice, a highly-educated and brilliant former professor, describes the pain and loss of living with her disease.  She tells the audience that she has become an expert at the art of losing...losing possessions, sleep, bodily function, and, most importantly, her memories.  Alice: "Everything I accumulated in life, everything I've worked so hard for, now all that is being ripped away.  As you can imagine, or as you know, this is hell.  But it gets worse."  Alice describes how self image and identity are destroyed as even basic human abilities are forgotten.  How painful it is to be perceived a certain way by friends, family, and strangers.  Alice: "But this is not who we are.  This is our disease."  While life is hard, Alice still appreciates living: "I know I'm alive.  I have people I love dearly.  I have things I want to do with my life.  I still have moments in the day of pure happiness and joy.  And please, do not think that I am suffering.  I am not suffering.  I am struggling - - struggling to be a part of things, to stay connected to who I once was.  So, 'Live in the moment,' I tell myself.  It's really all I can do.  And not beat myself up too much for mastering the art of losing."

Lydia is reading Alice a scene from a play.  In the scene, Lydia's character is giving a monologue in which she describes seeing souls leave the earth.  Lydia: "Souls were rising from the earth far below.  Souls of people who'd perished from famine, from war, from the plague.  They floated up like skydivers in reverse.  Limbs all akimbo, wheeling, spinning.  And the souls of these departed joined hands, clasped ankles, and formed a web, a great net of souls.  And the souls were three-atom molecules of the stuff of ozone.  And the outer rim absorbed them and was repaired.  Because nothing is lost forever."  Lydia sits down beside her mother and asks her if she liked the play.  Alice, whose Alzheimer's disease is now debilitating, can only grunt, smiling.  Lydia: "What was it about?"  Alice: "Love."

As Alice’s memory continues to fade, she sits at the dinner table taking careful notes, repeatedly asking her family the same questions. Tension rises, and the exchange soon sparks an argument with her daughters.
