ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Pharaoh has decreed that all newborn babies of Israel shall be killed.  One mother, hoping to spare her son from death, hides in the reeds of the river, pushing him along in a little basket.  She opens the basket for a final look at her son and lifts her eyes to heaven, praying: "God of Abraham, take my child into Thy hands that he may live in Thy service."  She pushes the basket gently down the river, watching it drift away.  The mother instructs her daughter, Miriam, to follow the basket to see where the Lord will lead it.

Bithia, the daughter of Pharaoh, is wading through the reeds along the river.  A basket floats toward her and she opens it, finding a baby inside.  Smiling, she takes his hand in her own.  A young Hebrew girl, Miriam, is hiding in the reeds, watching as the princess finds the baby.  Bithia quickly sends away all her servants, except her most trusted, Memnet.  Showing Memnet the child, she tells her that her prayers for a son have been answered.  Memnet sees that the baby is swaddled in Hebrew cloth: "This child was put upon the water to save its life from your father's edict!"  Bithia doesn't care where the child came from: "I am the Pharaoh's daughter, and this is my son.  He shall be reared in my house as the prince of the two lands."

Joseph, a Hebrew slave, has struck his Egyptian overseer to save an old woman from death.  Moses questions him: "You know it is death to strike an Egyptian?"  Joseph: "I know it."  Moses: "Yet you struck him.  Why?"  Joseph: "To save the old woman."  Moses: "What is she to you?"  Joseph: "An old woman."  Moses is urged by his fellow Egyptians to put the slave to death, but he admires Joseph's courage.  Moses: "You do not speak like a slave."  Joseph: "God made men.  Men made slaves."  Moses: "Which god?"  Joseph: "The God of Abraham.  The Almighty God."  Moses: "If your god is almighty, why does he leave you in bondage?"  Joseph: "He will choose the hour of our freedom and the man who will deliver us."

Moses, a prince of Egypt, has just learned that he was adopted from a family of Hebrew slaves.  His adoptive mother, Bithia, wants to cover up his past to hide the shame of his ancestry.  Moses: "Shame?  What change is there in me?  Egyptian or Hebrew, I am still Moses.  These are the same hands, the same arms, the same face that were mine a moment ago."  Yochabel, Moses's birth mother, asks Moses why he feels no shame to discover that he is not a prince, but a slave.  Moses, holding her hand: "If there is no shame in me, how can I feel shame for the woman who bore me...or the race that bred me?"

Moses encounters Baka whipping a Hebrew slave.  Moses stops him, grabbing the whip before he can strike again.  Baka: "Who are you?"  Moses (who is dressed as a slave): "One who asks what right you have to kill a slave."  Baka: "The right of a master to kill you or any slave."  Moses attacks Baka and begins to throttle him.  Before he dies, Baka recognizes the adopted son of Pharaoh's daughter and calls out his name.  Joseph, the slave who was whipped, is astounded to see Moses kill an Egyptian: "Why does a prince of Egypt kill the Pharaoh's master builder to save a Hebrew?"  Moses: "I am Hebrew."  Joseph begins to praise God and to proclaim Moses as the chosen deliverer of Israel: "The Almighty has heard our cries from bondage.  You are the Chosen One."  Moses: "I know nothing of your god."  Joseph: "He knows you, Moses.  He has brought you to us."

Moses is crossing the burning desert, alone and without supplies.  A narrator describes his sufferings: "All about is desolation.  He can neither bless nor curse the power that moves him, for he does not know from where it comes.  Learning that it can be more terrible to live than to die, he is driven onward, through the burning crucible of desert, where holy men and prophets are cleansed and purged for God's great purpose."  Moses collapses to the dusty ground, exhausted and utterly spent.  "Until, at last, at the end of human strength, beaten into the dust from which he came, the metal is ready for the Maker's hand."

Moses, having been offered his choice of a wife from Sephora and her sisters, has chosen to remain single.  Sephora, knowing that Moses's heart still belongs to a princess of Egypt, asks him if she was beautiful.  Moses, remembering: "Yes, she was beautiful...as a jewel."  Sephora knows that, as a shepherdess from the wilderness, she can little compete with the beauty and refinement of a princess in a palace.  However, she believes that a wife can have qualities of greater value than beauty: "A jewel has brilliant fire, but it gives no warmth.  Our hands are not so soft, but they can serve.  Our bodies not so white, but they are strong.  Our lips are not perfumed, but they speak the truth.  Love is not an art to us.  It's life to us.  We are not dressed in gold and fine linen.  Strength and honor are our clothing.  Our tents are not the columned halls of Egypt, but our children play happily before them.  We can offer you little, but we offer all we have."

Nefretiri and Rameses kneel by Pharaoh's deathbed, waiting for death to take him.  Acolytes surround the bed, chanting and lifting prayers and incense to the sky.  The high priest gives a benediction: "May the gods bless you as you go to join them in the land of the dead."  Pharaoh, looking around at all the activity surrounding his death: "What an infernal fuss.  After all, dying is only a part of living."  Nefretiri, tears in her eyes: "You won't die, old crocodile.  You'll cheat death the way you cheat me at hounds and jackals."  Pharaoh, smiling wryly, shakes his head: "I'm afraid He won't let me cheat the way you do."

Having seen a strange light burning at the top of the mountain, Moses has climbed up to try to find the source.  Having reached the top, he sees a bush that burns but is not destroyed by the fire.  Walking toward it, he hears his name called softly, several times.  He answers: "I am here."  The Voice: "Put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place where art thou standest is holy ground."  Moses kneels, taking off his sandals.  The Voice: "I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob."  Moses falls on his face before the bush.  God tells Moses that He has heard the cries of His people from their bondage and He is sending Moses to deliver them from Pharaoh.  Moses: "Who am I, Lord, that you should send me?"  Moses is full of self-doubt and fearful of not knowing what to say to Pharaoh.  God: "I will teach thee what thou wilt say."  Moses: "But if I say to Your children that the God of their fathers has sent me, they will ask, 'What is His name?'  And how shall I answer them?"  God: "I am that I am.  Thou shalt say, 'I Am has sent me unto you.'"

(Disc 2)  Moses is appearing for the first time before the Pharaoh Rameses to ask him to let the Israelite people leave Egypt and their life of slavery.  Standing before Pharaoh's throne, Moses tells him that he brings the word of God: "Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, 'Let my people go!'"  Pharaoh stares hard at Moses, replying: "The slaves are mine.  Their lives are mine.  All that they own is mine.  I do not know your god, nor will I let Israel go."  To demonstrate God's power to the unbelieving Pharaoh, Moses tells Aaron to throw his staff on the ground.  Aaron, complying: "In this you shall know that the Lord is God."  Moses's staff becomes a cobra.  While the rest of the court appears impressed, Pharaoh is undaunted.  He orders his own court magicians to do the same with their staffs.  However, when Moses's snake swallows up the other two, the people in the court become fearful.   Moses, taking back his staff and leaning closer to Pharaoh: "Hear His word, Rameses, and obey."

(Disc 2)  Moses leaves Pharaoh's presence discouraged.  Instead of freeing the Israelites, Pharaoh has ordered that they be forced now to find their own straw to make bricks.  The people greet Moses excitedly, expecting to receive good news.  When Moses tells them of Pharaoh's decision, their feelings toward Moses quickly change.  They begin crying out in anger:  "He doubles our burden!"  "Is this the deliverer?"  "You've brought the wrath of Pharaoh upon us!"  When the Israelites begin to cry out for Moses's blood, Egyptian soldiers step in and escort Moses away from his people.  

(Disc 2) The Egyptian princess Nefretiri, seeing Moses for the first time in years, longs to have her old suitor again in her life.  Flirting and cajoling, she receives little response from Moses, who tells her that his heart now belongs to a shepherd girl.  Nefretiri, cloaked in silks and satins and jewels, scoffs, believing a shepherd girl could be little competition to the beauty of a princess.  Nefretiri: "A shepherd girl?  What can she be to you...unless the desert sun has dulled your senses?  Does she grate garlic on her skin?  Or is it soft, as mine?  Are her lips chaffed and dry as the desert sand?  Or are they moist and red like a pomegranate?  Is it the fragrance of myrrh that scents her hair?  Or is it the odor of sheep?"  Moses: "There is a beauty beyond the senses, Nefretiri.  Beauty like the quiet of green valleys and still waters.  Beauty of the spirit that you cannot understand."

(Disc 2) Pharaoh and his attendants have come to worship the river god and ask him to bless the waters of the Nile.  Moses meets him there, again bringing God's command to let the Israelite people go.  Pharaoh refuses, doubting God's power to save His people: "We will learn if a god of shepherds is stronger than the gods of Pharaoh."  Moses orders Aaron to stretch his staff over the waters of the great river.  When the staff touches the water, a pool of red begins forming, growing wider and wider until the entire river is red with blood.  Even the fountain flowing from the river god begins spewing red.  The people, frightened, cry out to Pharaoh, who watches in silence.  Moses turns to Pharaoh: "That you may know the power of the Lord, for seven days, Egypt will thirst."  Pharaoh, unmoved and unbelieving: "Were it seven times seven days, no magician's trick will set your people free."  Pharaoh, sure of the power of his gods, lifts a jar of sacred water, waving it before the stone idol.  He begins pouring it into the river, sure that it will cleanse the water of the blood.  Instead, blood begins flowing from the jar itself, and Pharaoh, startled, drops it to the ground.

(Disc 2) Pharaoh is looking down on the people of Egypt, who are crying out in their suffering from the plagues sent by God on behalf of the Israelites.  The high priest, Jannes, begs Pharaoh to release the Israelite slaves, but Pharaoh's heart is still hard.  Jannes tells Pharaoh the people are no longer praying to their gods because they are losing hope.  Pharaoh, addressing both Jannes and Moses: "What gods?  You prophets and priests made the gods that you may prey upon the fears of men."  Pharaoh tells Moses that he doesn't believe the plagues were sent by God.  He has heard of a mountain nearby that spewed red mud, thus poisoning the waters.  He believes all the other plagues...the frogs, the gnats, the boils...can be attributed to that first initial, natural cause.  Pharaoh: "These things were ordered by themselves, and not by any god."  Pharaoh orders Moses to leave.  Moses, raising his arms to the sky: "That you may know these things are done of God...you shall see hail fall from a clear sky and burn as fire upon the ground.  You shall know that God is God and bow down to His will."  Pharaoh, hardly looking up from his parchments, tells Moses he will never bow.   Behind Moses, a white cloud begins forming in the sky.  The sound of lightning rouses Pharaoh from his thoughts.  He looks up as hail begins to hit the patio, turning into flames on the ground.

(Disc 2) Moses, his family, and friends are gathered in a house, waiting for the angel of death to pass by their doorstep.  The blood of a lamb is smeared on the doorposts of the house, and the people are seated inside around a long table.  As unleavened bread and bitter herbs are passed from person to person, cries of fear and pain can be heard coming from outside the house.  Despite God's promise of safety, those inside are afraid.  They quote Scripture to comfort themselves and remember God's promises: "There shall no evil befall you, nor any plagues come near you."  "Ten thousand shall fall at thy side..."  More sounds of terror erupt from outside the house.  A woman puts her hands to her head, terrified: "Death is all around us!"  A man comforts her: "But it passes those who have believed the Lord."

(Disc 2) The sounds of mourning and wailing can be heard all over Pharaoh's palace.  Moses approaches Pharaoh's throne slowly.  The ruler's head is bowed in sorrow and defeat.  He looks up when Moses stands before him, telling him that he has won.  Pharaoh: "You were saved from the Nile to be a curse upon me.  Go out from among us, you and your people.  I set you free."  Bitter, Pharaoh turns away from Moses.  Moses: "It is not by your word nor by my hand that we are free, Pharaoh.  The power of God has freed us."  Moses leaves the throne room, praising God along the way.  In the background, Pharaoh's wife carries the body of their dead son.

(Disc 2) Moses stands to address the people of Israel: "Hear, O Israel!  Remember this day when the strong hand of the Lord leads you out of bondage."  The people, gathered with their belongings, are ready to leave Egypt: "The Lord is our God!  The Lord is one!  The Lord is our God!"  Moses gestures with his staff and the people begin moving out toward the desert.  Donkeys, camels, and oxen, all laden with possessions, carts and litters carrying people, and herds of sheep and goats are led, pushed, and carried.  Everywhere among them, people are walking, moving forward as one great mass.  All around, people are spontaneously worshipping God, thanking Him for their freedom as they move along.  And move they must  - - everything of life is done while travelling.  A women gives birth in a moving cart, a dying man is carried by friends, and children sleep on the backs of oxen.  A view from above shows the hoards of people and animals looking like locusts swarming around the great sphinxes, heading toward the desert.

(Disc 2) Pharaoh's only son lies dead in the arms of a stone idol.  Pharaoh kneels before the idol, praying for his son's resurrection.  Nefretiri approaches, mocking her husband: "How many more days and nights will you pray?  Does he hear you?"  Pharaoh looks up into the bird-like face of the idol: "Dread Lord of Darkness, are you not greater than the god of Moses?  I have raised my voice to you, yet life has not come to the body of my son.  Hear me!"  Nefretiri: "He cannot hear you.  He's nothing but a piece of stone with the head of a bird."

(Disc 2) The Israelites have reached the Red Sea when the sound of Pharaoh's army reaches them.  Dathan begins inciting some against Moses, using their fear to turn them against the prophet.  The people begin crying out to Moses: "How can we fight chariots?"  "Nothing can stop them!"  Joshua tells Moses that he ordered the men to meet Pharaoh's chariots.  Moses: "Tell the men to move back, Joshua."  Joshua: "Where?  Into the sea?"  Moses: "Into the hand of God."  Moses's order only increases the Israelites' fear, and soon they are calling out to have him stoned.  When Dathan urges a crowd to confront Moses, Moses points his finger back at them: "Ten times you have seen the miracles of the Lord, and still you have no faith!"

(Disc 2) Pharaoh's chariots are approaching and the Israelites are trapped between them and the Red Sea (see Scene # CV05833).  The frightened people are gathered around Moses, wondering why they ever left Egypt.  Dathan, to Moses: "Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you took us away to die in the wilderness?"  Moses addresses the people, raising his staff to the sky: "Fear not!  Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord!"  While the people watch, a pillar of fire forms between them and the Egyptians, blocking the path of Pharaoh's army.  Even so, some still fear and wonder how they will escape.  Moses stands on a rock, looking out over the sea: "The Lord of Hosts will do battle for us.  Behold His mighty hand!"  As Moses raises his arms, black clouds roll over the sea, seeming to dive into the waters.  Suddenly, the waters are parted into two walls to reveal a path of dry ground in between.  The people begin crying out: "It's a miracle!"

(Disc 2) The Israelites are crossing through the Red Sea on dry land (see Scene # CV05834) when Pharaoh orders his armies to follow.  The chariots speed across the ground between the walls of water, chasing after the much slower group ahead.  Across the river, Moses stands on a rock, watching the last of the Israelites hurry to leave the riverbed.  Those in the back of the pack scream in fear as they see Pharaoh's chariots bearing down on them.  At last, all Israelites have reached the safety of the other side and Moses stretches out his arms: "Who shall withstand the power of God?"  Suddenly, the walls of water collapse, covering the chariots, horses, and Egyptians beneath them.  Pharaoh watches, helpless, as his entire army is covered by the Red Sea.  Looking up to heaven, he covers his face with his hands and mourns.  Moses prays to God: "Thou didst blow with Thy winds and the sea covered them.  Who is like unto Thee, O Lord?  From everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God."  All of Israel responds: "The Lord is our God!"

(Disc 2) Moses has been on the holy mountain for forty days and forty nights.  The Israelites, fearing him dead, have fashioned a new god for themselves in the form of a golden calf.  Bearers carry this idol around the camp while the people laugh and dance around it.  The atmosphere is one of drunken gaiety.  Women throw wreaths of flowers, priests burn incense, and drummers beat their drums.  Everywhere, people are dancing wildly, doing whatever comes into their mind to do.    Narrator: "They were as children who had lost their faith.  They were perverse and crooked and rebellious against God.  They did eat the bread of wickedness and drank the wine of violence.  And they did evil in the eyes of the Lord."

(Disc 2) Moses stands on the side of a mountain.  A pillar of fire burns nearby, and the voice of God is heard coming from the fire.  The voice is speaking the Ten Commandments while fingers of fire etch them directly into the stony mountain.  Moses hides himself in the cleft of the rock and behind the folds of his robe when the fingers of fire flash past him.  When the voice is finished, a final blast of fire carves the tablets out of the mountain.  Moses takes the tablets, holding them worshipfully: "Written by the finger of God."  He begins to make his way down the mountain and back to the Israelites.
