ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Philippe is telling an imaginary audience why he would risk his life, "tempt fate," by performing high-wire stunts.  Philippe, staring directly at the camera and speaking with bright passion: "Why?  That is the question people ask me most.  Why?  For what?  Why do you walk on the wire?  Why do you risk death?  But...I don't think of it this way.  I never even say this word.  Death.  Yes, okay.  I said it once, or maybe three times, just now.  But watch, I will not say it again.  Instead, I use the opposite word...life.  For me, to walk on the wire, this is life!"

Philippe, a famous wire-walker, shares how his dream began: "The first time I ever saw a wire-walker, I was eight years old."  We see young Philippe sneak into a circus tent, where a packed audience applauds a man on a high wire.  From the moment he enters the tent, Philippe cannot take his eyes off the man.  He squeezes his way into a seat and stares, enraptured, at the amazing sight.  His eyes alight with wonder, his mouth open in amazement, Philippe is suddenly the only one in the audience.  Because, for him, everything else in the world has become unimportant, except for the man on the wire.  Later, Philippe is at home, winding a rope back and forth between two trees, constructing his own high wire.  And he begins to practice what he has seen.  First, he walks on a wire five ropes thick.  Then, as he continues to practice and improve, ropes drop away, one-by-one, until he walks on one alone.  Years have passed, and he still walks on the rope.  His father, returning home from work, sees his son on the rope (again!) and shakes his head, muttering, in French: "My son, the circus clown."

Papa Rudy has agreed to teach Philippe the art of wire-walking.  He tells the boy that the first thing he must learn is to "compliment" the audience.  Explaining, Rudy calls the compliment an offering of gratitude, of respect to the audience.  He demonstrates, waving an arm out, respectfully saluting an imaginary audience.  He indicates that Philippe should try it.  Philippe, beaming with pride, throws both arms out wide and drops to one knee.  Rudy, wanting Philippe to embrace humility: "No!  Philippe, that was terrible!  You are doing too much.  Do nothing.  Now, try again."  Philippe repeats his effort, with slightly less ego.  Rudy is still not pleased: "I said, do nothing!  You are still doing too much!"  Philippe, irritated, stands still and flips a hand out carelessly.  Rudy: "Bah!  Where's your respect?  You didn't do anything!"  Philippe, confused and unaware that his real issue is pride: "But you said to do nothing!"  Rudy: "Do nothing on the outside.  On the inside, in your heart, you must salute.  The performer must have an honest respect and gratitude for the audience."  Philippe: "But why should I respect the audience?  It is me on the wire!"  Rudy, angry now: "You will salute the audience and pay respect!  There is no show without an audience.  Unless you understand that, you will never perform in circus."  Philippe: "Good.  Okay.  Me, I don't want to perform in the circus.  I am not some ridiculous circus clown.  I am an artist!"  The next sound is the sound of Rudy's door slamming in Philippe's face as he kicks the boy out.

Philippe has brought Annie to a cafe.  Stringing yarn between two wine bottles, he places a little man (made of a napkin) on the wire.  Philippe, smiling: "Voila!  My dream.  It will be the most glorious high-wire walk in history."  Annie: "And how high must this wire be to make so much glory?"  Philippe: "Over one-hundred stories high."  Annie looks at him in some surprise.  Later, he shows her a photograph of the Twin Towers in New York City: "What do you think?"  Annie laughs: "I don't know.  It looks so...so..."  Philippe: "Beautiful?"  Annie: "Beautiful, yes.  And dangerous.  And completely insane.  And you're a mad man."  Philippe: "Yes, I am mad.  But this...this is my dream."  Annie, seriously: "Then, if it's your dream, you must do it."  Philippe: "But even if everybody tells me I'm mad?"  Annie: "Well, you shouldn't care about what other people think."

Rudy is watching Philippe practice the high-wire walk.  The boy successfully crosses the wire, but he stops too soon before the end.  When he tries to replace the bar in its slot, he finds it just out of his reach.  The effort throws him off balance and he falls, hanging by his arms from the wire.  Pulling himself along with his arms, he succeeds in making it to the ladder safely.  Once on the ground, Rudy approaches him: "Most wire walkers, they die when they arrive.  They think they have arrived, but they're still on the wire.  If you have three steps to do, and you take those steps arrogantly, if you think you are invincible, you're going to die."

Rudy has procured an opportunity for Philippe to perform his wire-act for the patrons of a local festival.  Rudy helps Philippe to string his wire over a lake where the festival is being held.  Philippe, recalling the day: "So, I began my performance, and everything was going very well."  Annie smiles up at her friend as he sedately walks along the wire.  Philippe, remembering with some indignation: "But then, I start to hear this murmur of some laughing, giggling, and it turns out, there is also a fishing contest that afternoon, on this lake, more like a swamp!"  Philippe looks down, breaking his concentration, and sees boats filled with men, drinking wine straight from the bottle, and laughing loudly.  The drunk men begin to yell obnoxiously and Philippe cannot ignore them: "They're yelling insults at me!  They're laughing at me while I'm trying to work!"  His ego bruised, Philippe looks away from the taunting men and attempts to regain his control.  At that moment, the record playing his background music sticks annoyingly, joining the obnoxious sounds of the scoffing men.  The wire begins to tremble beneath Philippe's legs: "Now, walking the wire is as much mental as it is physical.  If you lose your concentration, you lose your balance!"  Suddenly, Philippe slips and plunges into the lake below.  Annie screams and Rudy cringes.  Philippe, humiliated, stands and attempts to bow.  Philippe, angry at the memory: "This was my first performance!  A failure!  And after this, I didn't feel so good."  (Caution: a-word used)

Jeff and Philippe are sitting on a beam over an elevator shaft 110-stories high.  (They are hiding from a security guard who is patrolling the 110th floor.)  Jeff, who has a paralyzing fear of heights, is trembling in fear.  Philippe firmly places a hand on top of Jeff's shaking one, silently comforting his friend.  Jeff looks at him and Philippe smiles confidently.  A sound below them catches their attention.  They look down, seeing a guard shining his flashlight into the shaft several stories below.  The guard, talking to himself: "I can't believe they don't gate this shaft.  Somebody's gonna get killed."  Philippe, remembering: "So, there we sit, balancing on this steel I-beam for an eternity."  Carefully, the men ease off their heavy construction shoes, which have become an almost unbearable irritation.  Hearing a noise from outside their canvas tent, Philippe decides to take a peek.  Using a pen, he pokes a hole in the canvas, seeing nothing outside except the guard's walkie-talkie.  Now Philippe doesn't know what to think - - is the guard gone, or is he still there?  The uncertainty and stress of their situation begins to eat at him.  He turns back to look at Jeff, whose face and throat are gleaming with sweat.  In Philippe's mind, he suddenly sees Jeff in an exaggerated state, his face contorted with fear, and his entire body shaking like Jell-O.  Philippe: "I see the terror on Jeff's face and his terror begins to seep into my mind.  And I start to conjure these hideous thoughts myself."  Philippe imagines Jeff falling sideways off the beam, his arms waving helplessly as he falls 110 stories.  Philippe squeezes his eyes shut and shakes his head to dispel the day-mare.  He looks across at Jeff, who is staring at him with wide, questioning eyes. (Caution: Lord's name used in vain)

After years of planning, Philippe is about to fulfill his dream of walking between the World Trade Towers on a high-wire.  Philippe holds his bar and looks out across the void.  A mist rolls in, blocking out everything except the wire from his view.  Philippe, remembering: "I have one foot on the building and one foot on the wire.  And the outside world starts to disappear."  Philippe, breathing deeply, stands poised, waiting for the right moment to begin, the moment when his mind is completely clear and focused.  Philippe: "I no longer heard the sounds of New York.  Everything fell silent.  All I could see was the wire, floating out in a straight line to infinity.  And if I were to shift my weight, I would become a wire-walker."  Gently, Philippe moves his anchor foot off the building and places it on the wire.  The mist clears and the vista opens up before him.  He begins to walk.  One step at a time, his feet move out over the void.  Far, far below, cars look like ants, the buildings like toys.  A smile begins to spread across Philippe's face, growing into a grin.  He reaches the North Tower and Jean-Louis helps him off the wire.  On the ground, the sidewalks are crowded with applauding spectators.  Philippe, remembering: "I arrive at the North Tower, feeling the most intense joy, the most profound satisfaction I have ever felt in my life."

Philippe, in the middle of his performance, is lying on his back on the wire, hundreds of feet above the ground.  He is enjoying the feeling of being in the sky, completely at peace with the world.  Suddenly, a bird appears out of nowhere.  It hovers over Philippe, glaring at him with a malicious red eye.  Flying away, it has taken Philippe's peace with it.  Now, he finds himself consumed by doubts.  He resumes his walk, but his mind is unsettled: "I'm thinking maybe the cable is tired of supporting me.  What if my towers are talking to each other?  What if they've had enough?  What if they decide to eject me?"  One of the bolts on the supporting wire suddenly shoots out, causing the wire to tremble and Philippe to lose his balance.  Quickly, he regains it, but it seems to support his growing fear and the doubts that have crept into his head.  Now, in addition to the dozen of police awaiting him on the tower, a helicopter arrives, blaring threats above Philippe's head.  He throws it a glance, pausing on the wire.  A close-up of his foot reveals blood seeping through his sole.  Jeff is shouting that the police are going to cut the wire out from under him.  Philippe struggles inwardly with his fear: "But I can't end my walk on a moment of doubt, with curled shoulders and hanging head.  I decide.  I will only leave my wire and my towers in victory."  Pulling himself up straight, Philippe juts out his chin in determination.  He thrusts his bar up and over his shoulders.  He walks.  Three steps before the finish, Philippe falters.  The wire begins to shake uncontrollably beneath him.  Those waiting on the building begin to panic.  Philippe concentrates, crouching low.  He brings his legs back under control and smiles at the officers when the wire stops shaking.  Quickly, he leaps up on the building and stands at the edge, announcing proudly: "My name is Philippe Petit.  I'm a wire walker."
