ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

For the first time in her life, Elphaba has tangible hope that she will meet the Wizard.  She dances, singing dreamily of that day: ♪ "When I meet the Wizard, once I prove my worth, then I meet the Wizard, what I've waited for since birth.  And with all his Wizard wisdom, by my looks he won't be blinded.  Do you think the Wizard is dumb, or like Munchkins, so small-minded? No!  He'll say to me, 'I see who you truly are, a girl on whom I can rely.'  And that's how we'll begin, the Wizard and I.  Once I'm with the Wizard, my whole life will change.  'Cause once you're with the Wizard, no one thinks you're strange.  No father is not proud of you.  No sister acts ashamed.  And all of Oz has to love you when by the Wizard you're acclaimed." ♪ Elphaba dreams of the Wizard offering to change her green skin and make her as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside.  She sees a future where she is celebrated instead of reviled in Oz: ♪ "And I'll stand there with the Wizard, feeling things I've never felt.  And though I'd never show it, I'd be so happy I could melt.  And so it will be for the rest of my life and I'll want nothing else till I die.  Held in such high esteem...the Wizard and I." ♪


When the headmistress announces to the school that Prince Fiyero will be transferring to the Shiz, Galinda excitedly begins to primp.  Carefully choosing an attractive outfit and applying her makeup, Galinda dresses to impress.  But, she's savvy enough to know she shouldn't come on too strong.  While the other girls (and some of the guys) drool blatantly over the prince, Glinda stands at the back, pretending not to notice him.  Finally, she chooses the moment to make herself seen.  Glinda, tosses her hair in what is meant to be an alluring way: "Are you looking for something?  Or someone?"  The prince, a practiced flirt himself, does a double-take when he sees her beauty.  He pretends to lose his memory at the sight: "What was I doing?"  Glinda, tossing her head: "How would I know?"  Prince: "Our first fight."  Glinda pretends to flounce away, but is really just around the corner.  The Prince follows her.  She casually offers to give him a tour of the school, acting like it's something she would give any new student.  When the Prince says he hasn't lasted long at any of his past schools, Glinda confidently asserts: "But, I wasn't at any of your other schools."  She sashays away, looking back over her shoulder teasingly.  The Prince smiles and follows.

It is the opening day at Shiz, a prestigious college in Oz.  Elphaba has come to escort her younger sister.  As she walks through the courtyard, the crowd parts with gasps of horror.  People overtly back away from her, shocked and horrified by her green skin.  When Galinda spots her, she gives an involuntary little scream.  Elphaba, now in the middle of a wide circle of staring eyes, decides to play it coy: "What?  What are you staring at?  Do I have something in my teeth?"  Galinda: "No, it's just...you're green."  Elphaba looks down in mock surprise at her hands: "I am!"  She gives a tight, little smile, having lived her whole life with this kind of reception.  She turns to face the crowd: "Fine.  Let's get this over with.  No, I am not seasick.  No, I did not eat grass as a child.  And, yes, I've always been green."  Galinda, feeling she's being quite generous, swallows her revulsion: "Well, I for one, am so sorry that you have been forced to live with...this."  Elphaba, lifting her chin a little: "Is that so?"  Galinda continues, missing Elphaba's sarcasm.  She offers to work to learn a spell that could someday change Elphaba's skin color.  The crowd applauds Galinda's magnanimous gesture.  Elphaba: "Offering to help someone that you don't know with skills that you don't have.  I'm sure everyone is duly impressed."  Galinda: "I could care less what others think."  Elphaba: "I doubt that."


The Wicked Witch of the West is dead and the Munchkins are celebrating.  One little Munchkin girl asks Glinda: "Why does wickedness happen?  Glinda: "That's a good question.  One many people find confusifying.  Are people born wicked?  Or do they have wickedness thrust upon them?"

The beautiful but shallow Galinda and the intelligent outcast Elphaba have found themselves sharing a college dormitory.  Clashing from the start, they are both writing letters home to complain to their parents about their new roommate.  Singing, together: ♪ "There's been some confusion, for you see my roommate is..." ♪ Galinda, looking across the room at Elphaba: ♪ "Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether impossible to describe." ♪ Elphaba, looking back at her: ♪ "...blonde." ♪  The two toss and turn on their beds as they continue to sing out their irritation: ♪ "What is this feeling, so sudden and new, I felt the moment I laid eyes on you.  Loathing.  Unadulterated loathing.  For your face, your voice, your clothing.  Let's just say...I loathe it all.  Every little trick, however small, makes my flesh begin to crawl." ♪  The two go throughout their day, continuing to sing of their hatred for each other and taking every possible chance to exact petty revenge.  Both vow to carry their grudge forever, ending their song with a promise: ♪ "...loathing you my whole life long." ♪


Prince Fiyero has come to his new school to shake things up.  He scoffs at studying in the library.  Instead, he wants to dance.  Fiyero, tossing a book onto the floor:  ♪ "The trouble with schools is they teach the wrong lessons.  Believe me, I've been kicked out of enough of them to know.  They want you to become less callow, less shallow.  But, I say, why invite stresses?  Stop studying strife and learn to live the unexamined life." ♪ The Prince's handsome looks and fun demeanor attract the students and they drink in his superficial philosophy: ♪ "Dancing through life, skimming the surface...life's more painless for the brainless.  Why think too hard when it's so soothing dancing through life?  No need to tough it when you can slough it off as I do.  Nothing matters, but knowing nothing matters.  It's just life, so just keep dancing through." ♪  Elphaba alone is troubled by his attitude.  Everyone else has now started to mimic all that the Prince does.  No one is studying now.  Instead, everyone is dancing, hanging onto such gems from the Prince as, "Those who don't try never look foolish," and, "If only because dust is what we come to, nothing matters."


All of Oz is celebrating the death of the Wicked Witch of the West.  Glinda, singing: ♪ "Isn't it nice to know that good will conquer evil?" ♪ The Munchkins shed no tears for the witch's demise, believing it to be her just desserts.  Munchkins, singing: ♪ "No one mourns the wicked.  No one lays a lily on their grave.  The good man scorns the wicked.  Through their lives, our children learn what we miss when we misbehave." ♪ Glinda: ♪ "And goodness knows the wicked's lives are lonely.  Goodness knows the wicked die alone.  It just shows, when you're wicked, you're left only on your own." ♪ The celebration continues and the Munchkins sing, glad that they aren't wicked: ♪ "Nothing grows for the wicked.  They reap only what they sow." ♪


Glinda has decided to transform Elphaba into someone popular.  And, of course, that means making the girl more like herself.  Glinda, singing: ♪ "Popular.  You're gonna be popular.  I'll teach you the proper ploys when you talk to boys, little ways to flirt and flounce." ♪ Glinda goes through her dresses, makeup, and shoes, looking for something to make Elphaba what she considers pretty.  Glinda: ♪ "I'll show you what shoes to wear, how to fix your hair, everything that really counts to be popular.  I'll help you be popular.  You'll hang with the right cohorts, you'll be good at sports, know the slang you've got to know.  So, let's start,'cause you've got an awfully long way to go." ♪ Glinda makes Elphaba try on various accessories, none of which become her.  She promises to change Elphaba from the dreary person that she is into something special.  ♪ "It's not about aptitude, it's the way you're viewed, so it's very shrewd to be very, very popular like me." ♪ But, no matter how much Glinda tries to make Elphaba like her, she doesn't succeed.

Elphaba is reading her little sister a story when the neighborhood children begin to taunt her: "Elphaba Thropp green on top.  Someone run and tell her everyone can smell her!"  The children laugh and mock her for her green skin.  Elphaba's sister begins to cry, which makes Elphaba furious.  She faces the children, seething with rage.  Her fingers curl and the rocks on the ground begin to levitate.  She cries out for the children to stop and, suddenly, the rocks fly toward them and hit them hard.  The kids yelp in pain and run away.  


When Elphaba shows up at the party wearing the castoff hat that Galinda gave her, everyone stops to stare.  Voices whisper that she looks ridiculous and no one bothers to hide the fact that they are laughing at her.  Elphaba, hiding her pain, walks to the center of the dance floor and dances her own strange, solitary dance.  She ignores the mockery all around her, dancing to the beat of her own drum.  Galinda watches, knowing the part she has played in making Elphaba even more of a pariah.  Fiyero, somewhat impressed, whispers to Galinda: "I'll say this much, she doesn't give a twig what anyone thinks."  But Galinda knows the truth: "Of course she does.  She just pretends not to."  Elphaba boldly faces the jeering crowd, knowing that even her own sister is ashamed of her.  Galinda, whispering to Fiyero: "I feel awful."  Fiyero, unaware of Galinda's actions: "Why?  It's not your fault."  Galinda leaves him, walking to the center of the room to stand face-to-face with Elphaba.  Slowly, Galinda begins to dance Elphaba's dance.  At first, everyone giggles, thinking Galinda is making fun also.  But, when Galinda stares back at them pointedly, they know she is serious.  Her friends beg her to stop making a fool of herself, but Galinda refuses.  She keeps dancing and soon Elphaba joins her.  They dance the strange and yet touching dance together.  Elphaba begins to cry as she dances and Galinda smiles at her tenderly: "It's all right."  They keep dancing and soon everyone begins to join in.  


Glinda and Elphaba have come to meet the great and powerful Wizard of Oz.  With great trepidation, they slowly enter the room.  A loud rumbling sound comes from behind a screen of hanging vines.  Elphaba is so frightened she almost turns around and leaves.  A deep, terrifying voice sounds from a giant head protruding from the vines.  Its eyes glow ominously.  Head: "I am Oz, the Great and Terrible."  Smoke curls out of his mouth and flames shoot up to the sky.  Oz: "Say something!"  When Elphaba introduces herself, the voice from the wizard suddenly changes.  Elphaba hears the sound of machinery shutting down.  A man's voice is heard: "Elphaba Thropp?"  The facade of terror disappears and a normal guy approaches: "Sorry about that.  I didn't mean to startle you."  The great and powerful wizard reveals himself to be just a man.  He performs a childish magic trick and then explains his subterfuge: "I think it's a bit much, but folks have come to expect that sort of thing."  He does a little tap dance: "You've gotta give the people what they want."
