ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Bereft of his hope to provide a better future for his infant son, the father walks around the ship helplessly.  Suddenly, a flash of light attracts him to a room where a model of the ship is encased in glass.  The man stares at the model as an idea enters his head.  Narrator: "We are all connected.  Each baby born carries a miracle inside.  A unique purpose.  And that miracle is promised to one person and one person alone." The man and wife kiss their baby boy goodbye and lay him gently into the small boat.  As they slowly lower the boat into the sea, the narrator continues: "We are voyagers, set on a course towards destiny to find the one person our miracle was meant for."  Clouds gather over the city of New York and the tiny boat slowly drifts toward its future.  Narrator: "But, be warned, as we seek out the light, darkness gathers.  And the eternal contest between good and evil is not fought with great armies, but one life at a time."

Peter is running desperately from Pearly and his gang.  The angry criminals chase Peter into an alley, intent on killing him.  Peter is able to buy a few moments of safety by barricading himself behind an iron gate, but he knows it won't last long.  He starts to run away, but slips and falls on the ice.  Dazed, he looks up, seeing a white horse standing quietly beside him.  Looking back, Peter sees that Pearly's men have made it through the gate and are slowly walking toward him.  Peter looks back at the horse.  Suddenly, it bends down gracefully, kneeling on the ground to allow Peter to mount.  Peter, surprised, jumps onto the horse and tries to lead it away from Pearly.  The horse, however, has a plan of its own and turns around to face the gang.  Starting to run, it gallops toward Pearly, straight through the middle of the men.  Just before the tall gate, it jumps upward, sailing through the air with wings of light, and lands safely on the other side.

Mr. Penn introduces Beverly to the man who has come to make her glasses.  Upon seeing the consumptive girl, the man inadvertently takes a step backward.  Beverly laughs, assuring him she is not contagious.  The man tells Beverly that his sister died at the age of 20 from consumption.  Beverly reflects soberly: "You never think you're as old as you're ever going to get."  While the man tests her eyes, Beverly smiles, telling him that her illness is also a blessing: "The fever can make things wonderful.  Even now, I can see winter as it turns around the room in the light, darting from white lances to rays to silver crosses, to the optical glass, to the flames, to the reflective windows.  And illuminating each of us."  The light that Beverly speaks of illuminates her head like a halo: "The sicker I become, the more clearly I can see that everything is connected by light."  An overhead perspective of the room illustrates Beverly's point, showing rays of light crisscrossing everywhere.  Beverly, smiling: "Do you have glasses for that?"

Little Willa enters her dying sister's bedroom, climbing into bed with the beloved girl.  Willa, desperately: "You can't die, Bev."  Beverly: "Sweet girl, it's not up to me."  Willa looks up toward the sky: "Tell me again."  Beverly, taking Willa into her arms, lies down on the bed with her and they both look up into the blackness.  Beverly, dreamily: "There's this great dance, and we all have our part.  And when we're done here - - if it's after one life, or a thousand - - we rise up into the sky and we become stars."

Mr. Penn is seated in his library with Peter, passing the time in awkward small talk.  Suddenly, Mr. Penn shifts the course of the conversation: "You know what?  You look like a crook."  Peter begins to look scared.  Mr. Penn launches a verbal barrage of questions at the hopeful suitor: "Who are you?  What do you do?  What is your relationship to Beverly?  Are you aware of her special condition?  What are your motivations, intentions, and desires?  Tell the absolute truth.  Don't elaborate.  Stop if a neighbor, child, or servant comes in, and be brief."  Peter chuckles humorlessly: "I'll try."  Peter opts for complete honesty: "My name is Peter Lake.  You're right, I'm a thief, and I'm a d--n good one.  I love Beverly.  Our relationship goes by no name.  I have no intentions.  I desire her, and I am moved by love."  Mr. Penn asks how he can be sure that it is love and not greed that motivates Peter's pursuit.  Peter assures the father that he doesn't desire a penny of the family funds.  Mr. Penn: "And her condition?"  Peter: "I've never loved much before, so death hasn't been something to be avoided.  But now, when I think of losing her...is it possible to love someone so completely they simply can't die?"  Mr. Penn, sadly: "No."  Peter: "But I'm a thief, as you so keenly observed.  Can't I steal just one life?"  Mr. Penn smiles, beginning to believe in Peter's love for his daughter: "We'll see about you."  (Caution: d-word used)

Pearly, a demon, stands before Lucifer, requesting permission to travel outside his normal earthly bounds.  Lucifer denies the request.  Pearly loses his temper, and the veins in his face throb with evil: "Lucifer!  I need to stop this one!  Now!"  Lucifer, his voice deepening in rising anger: "Now?  You have no idea what 'now' is.  NOW I was flying.  NOW I breathed fire and I ate them as they fled.  NOW I whipped my tail and the winds trembled."  Satan's shadow on the darkened wall begins to smoke and flame.  Pearly cringes in fear as Satan continues, furiously: "NOW I am hidden in this pale shade of flesh and bone!  NOW I am witness to man's eternal salvation!  NOW I am witness to his demise!  Do not speak to me of time, demon!  It's simplest ebbs and turns elude your meagre understanding.  Find another way.  NOW!"  Lucifer's screaming mouth reveals teeth as sharp as needles and he turns off the light to return to his preferred darkness.

Pearly, believing himself victorious through the death of Beverly, confronts Peter gloatingly.  He taunts Peter, musing aloud what Beverly's life could have been had she lived - - what great things she could have accomplished.  Pearly: "Well, it doesn't matter.  She's dead.  Cold, dead, and already in the ground."  Pearly's henchmen join him, prepared to kill Peter.  Pearly, as he and his men move slowly toward Peter: "Do you ever ask yourself why the universe goes to all this trouble to help you fulfill your destiny and then throws me in your path?  Maybe it's because God is just as bloodthirsty as the rest of us.  Maybe He doesn't like eternal benevolence and light.  Maybe He just likes a good fight."

Peter enters the house of his lost love, Beverly, for the first time in a hundred years.  As he sits reverently at the same table where he first drank tea with her, Virginia asks Willa how it is possible that Peter is still alive and ageless.  Willa: "Well, in a life this long, you do see things...things that don't always add up to the world we think we know."  Together, Willa and Peter remember the night that Beverly died.  Willa: "She used to say that when we finished our work on Earth, we would fly up and become stars."  Peter: "What work?  She was 21.  How could she possibly have been finished?  Why am I still alive?"  Willa: "Well, I look at you, Peter, unchanged after all these years.  Maybe there's something you're still meant to do."  Peter: "What?"  Willa, shaking her head: "I have no idea."

Pearly and Lucifer are discussing their inability to defeat Peter Lake and his life's miracle.  Pearly is angry enough to offer to become a mortal in order to kill Peter.  Pearly: "I'll tell you something that should chill your blood.  No matter how far we tip the scales our way, no matter how many of them we turn dark, nothin' seems to break their capacity for hope.  They pass it back and forth like the flu at a preschool fair.  We're losing, Lucifer.  One bright star at a time, we're losing."

Peter, a man who has travelled 100 years and defeated a demon and his hordes just to save one little girl, releases Abby back to her mother.  Narrator: "Why would so many things conspire to save one little girl's life?  But what if it wasn't just Abby?  What if she is no more or less special than any of us?  What if we are all unique, and the universe loves us all equally?  So much so that it bends over backwards, across the centuries, for each and every one of us.  And sometimes we are just lucky enough to see it."  Peter returns to the graveyard to find the grave marker of his lost love.  There stands the white horse, waiting to carry him into the afterlife.  As Peter rides the horse into the stars, the narrator finishes: "No life is more important than another.  And nothing has been without purpose.  Nothing.  What if we are all part of a great pattern that we may someday understand?  And, one day, when we have done what we alone are capable of doing, we get to rise up and reunite with those we have loved the most.  Forever embraced.  What if we get to become stars?"
