ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Adam is talking to his psychiatrist about his struggle with schizophrenia when the discussion turns to Adam's mom: "My mom is on this hopeless quest for a cure."  We see Beth at the computer, poring over books and articles about schizophrenia.  Adam, continuing: "Just like all the other delusional moms we've met along the way.  Sitting in the same waiting rooms, putting their faith in the same doctors, quietly begging for the same thing...'Cure my kid.'"  We see Adam and Beth sitting in office after office.  The scene is the same, just the decor changes.  Beth suddenly looks up and notices the other mothers, the same quiet desperation written on their faces.  Adam goes on to give a laundry list of the drugs that have been tried and discarded in an attempt to find a cure.  None of them have worked.  We see Adam and his ever-faithful mother in yet another doctor's office, reporting another failed drug.  Adam: "Yet, somehow, my mom hasn't given up hope.  That makes one of us, I guess."

Adam is in chemistry class when an evil-sounding voice begins to call his name.  He looks around the room and begins to see people who aren't there…people who speak to him and know his name.  Suddenly, Adam sees everything around him explode.  Glass fragments from beakers spray all around the room, which now appears as if a black whirlwind is destroying everything in sight.  In his fright, Adam knocks over a beaker of acid onto his lab partner's arm.  The boy screams as his skin immediately blisters and burns.  But Adam hardly notices, because everything around him is falling apart.  Adam hears the voices speaking to him, telling him to leave.  A security guard grabs Adam from behind, pinning him down.  Adam, not understanding, begins to cry out in terror.  Suddenly, the whirlwind stops and we see the room not from Adam's perspective, but from reality.  Adam is lying on the ground, whimpering.  Classmates are staring at him in horror, including the boy with the injured arm.  Adam, thinking back to that time: "They called it my first psychotic break."  Adam is now lying on a hospital bed, hearing a doctor tell his parents: "Schizophrenia.  A chronic mental disorder in which a person loses touch with reality, allowing for visual and auditory hallucinations, paranoia, delusions.  Hence, the chemistry class extravaganza."

After Adam has a mental breakdown, Father Patrick comes to see him in the psychiatric institution: "I just wanted to see how you're doing."  Adam, dryly: "I've had better days.  Are you even allowed to be fraternizing with someone like me?"  Father Patrick: "The only agenda I serve is God's."  Adam, with a little smile: "Could you maybe tell Him to reconsider His agenda?  'Cause it feels like I'm getting the short end of the stick."  Father Patrick, joking: "I'll put in a call."  The priest sits down next to Adam: "All joking aside, I want to talk to you about the question you asked me the other day...about the point of confession."  Father Patrick tells Adam that he realized Adam needed more of an answer than the one he had given: "Actually telling somebody our sins gives us an opportunity to admit that we are flawed."  Adam: "You don't think we know we're flawed?"  Father Patrick: "Everyone's flawed.  But admitting our flaws, that gives us the opportunity and the strength to face them.  And that's why we confess."


Adam has been expelled from school just before graduation, due to a psychotic break.  Knowing that part of his healing must come from telling others about his illness, Adam has decided to attend graduation and give the speech he was scheduled to give.  With his parents standing at the back of the room in silent support, Adam takes the microphone from the stunned school administrator and looks out at the sea of his classmates.  As usual, the voices that Adam hears as part of his disease begin to take over his thoughts.  A black, wispy cloud begins to fill his vision and obscure the faces in the room.  The voice whispers lies of fear and despair into Adam's mind, ordering him not to confess his weakness to his peers.  Adam appears paralyzed on stage, but he is fighting a mental battle, waging a war over his thoughts, and making the choice to listen to truth instead of lies.  Adam begins: "Hi, I'm Adam.  I'm here because I need my diploma.  Without it, I can't be the person I want to be."  As he talks, Adam is barraged by the voice, but he continues on despite it: "And that's because I have schizophrenia."  As Adam openly speaks of his struggle, the voice continues whispering discouragement, but Adam grows stronger.  And, soon, the voice and its accompanying black mist have disappeared.  Adam goes on to explain why his illness overcame him for a time: "I tried chasing this idea of being normal.  Whatever that means.  My greatest failure, hands down, has been hiding from the ones I love.  For believing the voice in my head when it tells me I'm ruining their lives.  For believing it when it tells me I'm too defective to be loved by anyone."  Adam finishes his speech: "I'm Adam.  I have an illness, but I'm not the illness itself."


Off his meds, Adam is once again tormented by voices that whisper lies constantly.  When Adam's mom tells him that the school won't allow him to attend prom after his suspension, Adam is furious.  The dark thoughts grow louder and Adam begins to parrot them, just as if they were his own.  Voice: "You're trapped."  Adam, to his parents: "I'm trapped."  Voice: "This is how they do it."  Adam: "This is how you do it."  As Adam gets more and more worked up, his voice grows louder until he is screaming.  His mom, gently, but firmly, tries to quiet him, but Adam is growing out of control.  The voice now has full reign over Adam and he is certain that everyone is against him.  Adam's mom puts her hands on her son's shoulders, firmly grasping her son's face: "Listen to me!  Listen to MY voice.  My voice is the only one that matters right now, okay?  And I am telling you that you are my entire world!"  Just as Adam looks as though he might be prepared to listen, one of the voices whispers doubt: "Don't you see it's all just a big bait-and-switch?"  Adam chooses to listen to the voice.  He looks at his mother before walking out the door: "I don't believe you."  (Caution: s-word spoken)


Adam is sitting at dinner with his mother and her boyfriend when the dark voices begin to whisper in his ear.  What was once a pleasant, homey scene, suddenly seems sinister.  Paul's mild expression takes on a wicked gleam.  Blackness begins to drown out the light in the room as the voice whispers: "You're ruining your mother's life, Adam.  You're not the son she wanted.  This is why your father left.  He knew something was wrong with you.  And, soon, everyone at your new school will know the truth.  That's when they'll finally get rid of you.  Gone.  Nothing."  Adam is now sitting in total darkness.  Later, he tells his psychiatrist what it feels like: "When that voice comes to visit me, it's like I'm having a nightmare while I'm awake.  I try to close my eyes and let my mind go blank, like you told me to, but...that doesn't work."
