ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Lucho brings Marco a piece of broken mirror, interrupting the supervisor as he watches television in his office.  Lucho, concerned, reminds Marco that the mirrors are there to alert them to shifts in the mountain.  A broken mirror means the mine is moving.  Marco, unconcerned, ignores the warning, telling Lucho the mine is good for another 20 years.  Lucho will not be deterred and requests a health check on the ramp.  Marco refuses.  Lucho, earnestly: "It's my job to keep these men safe!"  Marco, with a smug smile: "Correction.  Your job, Lucho, is to keep these men pulling out 250 tons a day."  Lucho, confused: "250?"  Marco: "Your quota has gone up."  Lucho, reeling: "There's only so much gold in the mountain."

Mario is showing the new miner the ropes.  He grabs a huge chunk of ore, licking it: "This is why we are here.  I can taste it!  Copper and gold - - $1,200 an ounce."  The men are talking when, suddenly, a large section of the ceiling collapses, crashing to the ground.  Mario yells for the men to run.  Elsewhere in the mine, in the place called the Refuge, several miners are having their lunch break.  The lights in the room begin to flicker as a rumbling sound reverberates around the room.  The floor begins to quake and tools start to fall from the shelves.  The room fills with a choking dust cloud.  Dario and Alex are standing next to a gaping shaft when an avalanche of rocks knocks Dario over the edge.  Alex grabs his arm at the last second and barely succeeds in saving his friend.  Don Lucho comes running up to his crew, screaming: "Collapse!"  The thirty-three miners come from all directions to scramble aboard the vehicles, hoping to make it to safety before anyone is killed.  (Caution: h-word used)

The buried miners are doing everything they can think of to call for help.  A crew of men bang shovels against the pipes, hoping someone will hear them.  Another man sets off a small explosion in a pipe.  Dario watches their efforts, telling the men they are wasting their time: "No one is gonna hear us.  No one is gonna help us."  Don Lucho goes to the radio and tries several times to make contact with someone on the surface.  After receiving no response, he decides to check the mechanism to see if it is broken.  The box comes away from the wall too easily.  The wires have never been attached.  Don Lucho, furious, throws it against the wall.  Henriquez decides to check the first aid kit for supplies.  He opens the box, discovering it to be almost completely empty.  He stares at Don Lucho with eyes filled with fear.  It does, indeed, seem as if there is no help to be had.

Don Lucho and Mario are interrupted in their conversation by the cries of a man from the next room.  Hearing the sound of angry scuffling, they hurry into the room, where a minor riot has erupted over the trunk of emergency food.  The scared miners are pushing each other, fighting over the meagre supplies.  Dario has even begun to cram a package of cookies into his mouth as quickly as possible.  Mario steps in, breaking up the fight.  Mario: "Stop it!  Stop it!"  Dario: "It's just some cookies.  What's the big deal?"  Mario tells the men the reality of their terrible situation.  The ways of escape from the mine are blocked.  The emergency measures to protect the men were never completed.  Mario: "Guys.  We are buried alive.  That's the big deal.  This is all the food we have left to keep us alive!  We have to ration it carefully if we plan on surviving down here until we are rescued."  Don Lucho steps forward.  Despairingly, he tells the men they have absolutely no hope of being rescued: "We're too far down.  It took 100 years for them to dig this deep!  How long do you think that's gonna take?  Do you think the owners are gonna spend that kind of money?"  Lucho, tearfully: "They'll wait three days, then close the mine and put up the gravestones."  Mario, angry now at Lucho's attitude of hopelessness: "No, no, no, no!  I don't believe that!  They'll dig us out!  But if they don't, our families will, with their bare hands if necessary.  I believe we'll make it out of here because I choose to believe it!  All 33 of us!"

The miners have now been trapped underground for days and Dario is suffering physically as well as mentally.  An alcoholic, his body is going through severe withdrawals, and he feels like crawling out of his own skin.  He huddles on the ground in a ball, crying out to God for alcohol.  Jose (affectionately called Pastor because of his faith in Christ) comes over to comfort the suffering man.  He puts a hand on Dario's shoulder, trying to calm him.  Dario, shaking: "I'm dying!  We are all going to die!"  Jose, calmly: "It's okay.  There's a lot worse things in life than death."  Dario, whose angry alcoholism has isolated him from the rest of the men: "How come you have time for me?  Huh?  Why don't you hate me like everybody else?  Why?  Why?"  He pushes Jose away, who responds gently, but emphatically: "Hate is for children.  If we could just be good to each other, we might find a way out of here."  Dario begins to weep.  Jose: "We can say a prayer together, if you like."  Dario: "I - - I don't know the words."  Jose, smiling through his tears: "God doesn't care."  He holds out a hand to Dario, who grasps it tightly.  Jose, praying: "Merciful Father.  Take this boy.  Open his eyes so he can see."  Dario, sobbing: "I'm sorry.  I'm so sorry."

After weeks of working to rescue the trapped miners, the rescue team is finally close to their goal.  Underground, the miners hear a loud noise and begin to rejoice, knowing that, finally, someone is coming to get them.  They begin to shout and celebrate, planning what they will do when the drill reaches their refuge.  All eyes look toward the ceiling, waiting in anticipation to see the first light they will have seen in weeks.  The waiting continues.  The noise moves.  The men watch.  The noise continues to move.  Some of the men are beginning to look frightened.  Mario is the first to realize the truth, that the drill has passed them by.  He looks at Don Lucho.  Alex, knowing something is wrong: "What?  What happened, Mario?"  Don Lucho, sick with disappointment: "It's below us.  The thing's below us."  Mario, trying to stay positive: "At least they are looking in the right place."  Don Lucho, angrily: "You still don't get it yet, do you?  It took them this long to get that close!  We're starving, Mario!  When they get back, we will be dead!"  Alex, crushed with despair, grabs a pickaxe and begins to pound at the wall, trying futilely to dig his way out.  Finally, he throws the axe away and falls to the ground, sobbing.

The attempt to rescue the 33 miners has just failed (see scene #CV08837).  Alex has lost all hope and is standing at the edge of a deep ravine.  Mario grabs his hand before he can jump: "If you really want to do this, don't do it alone."  Mario tells Alex he will jump, too.  Alex, angrily: "Are you crazy?"  Mario: "Yes, I am crazy!  I am completely out of my mind!  But you know what?  I have a daughter.  And a wife.  And you have a wife, with a baby on the way.  And they're counting on you, Alex."  Alex, a tear running down his cheek, suddenly remembers the people depending on him: "My baby?"  Mario nods: "We need you, man.  I need you."

The miners have just split the last can of tuna between the 33 of them.  Virtually starving, they don't know whether or not they will ever eat again.  Jose looks at Dario: "What I wouldn't give for one of your sister's empanadas."  The men smile wistfully.  Suddenly, a bright, white light shines down on Jose.  A beautiful young woman, presumably his daughter, sets a gleaming silver tray down before him.  On the tray is a giant, flaky empanada.  Stopping to thank God briefly for the meal, a grinning Jose takes a bite, savoring its flavor.  Down the table, another beautiful woman serves a gigantic bowl full of spaghetti to her miner.  He takes a big bite and the woman wipes his chin with a linen napkin.  Around the table, each of the starving men daydream of their wives, daughters, and mothers bringing them their favorite foods.  Alex's pregnant wife brings him a burger the size of a dinner plate.  Mario's wife brings him a bowl full of gleaming fruit, but he doesn't even look at it.  Instead, his gaze is locked on his beloved wife, whom he hasn't seen in weeks.  He weeps, imagining himself holding her again.  Yonni, to his surprise, is served by his mother, who brings him his favorite dish.  Soon, the table of privation has turned into a banquet as the men talk and laugh and eat and share.  Only one man isn't dreaming.  Dario takes the last sips of his tuna water and the light fades, taking the beautiful dream with it.  The men quietly sip, trying to stretch the liquid out as long as possible.  Mario, finished, speaks to the men: "I just...want you to know...that I couldn't be prouder than I am to share with you this last meal."  He picks up his empty cup, looking around the table, and turns it upside-down.

Mario slowly walks down the dark room where the miners have gathered to die.  After 17 days trapped underground, very few have the strength even to move.  While someone in the background quotes Psalm 23, he moves from man to dying man, looking at each one.  Alex is talking to himself about the daughter he never got to meet.  Dario is trying to get Jose to drink, hoping the man won't die.  One desperate man blows out a prayer candle, asking God to forgive him, and begins to eat it.  Some lie on the ground, saying nothing.  Others mumble to themselves.  As Mario reaches the end of the rows of 32 living corpses, the voice quoting the psalm finishes: "Amen."

Mario is asleep, waiting to die, when drops of water begin to hit his face.  He looks up at the wall of the mine.  A loud rumbling sound begins to fill the room.  Suddenly, the bit of a large drill thrusts through the wall and into the room.  For the first time in seventeen days, a shaft of sunlight hits Mario and he shields his eyes from the light.  Crying out at the top of his lungs, he calls the other miners into the room: "Drill!  It's here!"  The men begin to shout for joy, calling for others to come and see.  Soon, all the men have gathered around the drill that has brought them the first hope of salvation they've had in days.  Crying tears of relief, they begin hitting the drill and yelling, hoping the rescue workers will hear and know they are alive.  Up on the surface, Laurence puts an ear to the drill and hears the tapping: "Someone's alive!"  Andre brings the drill back up to the surface to reveal that a note has been attached.  Laughing in amazement and joy, the rescue workers begin to celebrate.  Very soon, President Pinera is standing before the families of the lost miners.  He holds up the note: "This message comes to us from the depths of the earth.  From the very hands of our miners.  'We are all well in the Refuge.  The 33.'"  The families, who had very little hope of ever seeing their loved ones again, begin to cry and laugh and cheer all at once.  The atmosphere is one of celebration as they realize that thirty-three men who were lost have now been found.

Now that the hope of rescue is near, Dario finds that he is troubled about what he will find when he returns to the surface.  He has come to Mario for advice.  Dario, referring to his sister: "I have been mad at her all my life."  Dario tells how he felt abandoned when she left home during his childhood.  But, now that he has been trapped underground and uncertain of his life, he sees things from her perspective.  Dario: "I know she's up there.  I know she's waiting for me.  But, what am I supposed to say?  What am I supposed to do when we get out?"  Mario, matter-of-factly: "You hug her.  You cry like a baby.  Forgive her for everything that she has ever done.  You pray to God that she forgives you.  She's your family.  Maria is all the family you've got.  Family...family is all we have."

All over the world, people are watching as the thirty-three Chilean miners are being brought to the surface after 69 days trapped underground.  Families, friends, politicians, and press surround the shaft as the men are brought up, one-by-one, in a specially-designed rescue pod.  As each steps out of the pod, they are greeted by their joyful loved ones.  Elvis runs up to the President of Chile, embracing him: "Thank you for never giving up on us!"  Jose steps out of the pod and immediately kneels to the ground in a prayer of thanks to the God who saved him.
