ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Jackie and the Monarchs are on the road, playing a series of games, when they stop at a gas station to refuel.  The white gas station attendant is filling up the tank when he notices Jackie headed toward the white-only restroom.  Attendant: "Hey!  Hey you!  Where you goin'?"  Jackie, continuing towards the door: "To the toilet."  Attendant: "Come on, boy, you know you can't go in there."  Calmly, but forcefully, Jackie orders the man to stop filling the tank.  Jackie: "We'll get our 99 gallons of gas someplace else."  The man stops and stares at Jackie, seeing a strength of purpose in the man that makes him back down.  The attendant waves Jackie back toward the restroom and continues to fill the tank.  (Caution: h-word used)

Branch Rickey has summoned Jackie Robinson to his offices to offer him a possible contract with the Brooklyn Dodgers.  Knowing that no other black man has ever been in major league baseball, Jackie is stunned, but more than willing to accept the offer.  Before he can accept, however, Rickey tells Jackie there is one important condition tied to the offer: "...can you control your temper?"  Rickey paints a clear picture for Jackie of the persecution he will face from racist hotel owners, restaurant proprietors, and other baseball players.  Jackie will face hate from many quarters and Rickey wants to be certain that Jackie won't return hate for hate.  That he will ignore the desire for revenge and act with courtesy at all times.  Jackie is initially angered: "You want a player that doesn't have the guts to fight back?"  Rickey: "No.  No.  I want a player that has the guts not to fight back.  People aren't gonna like this.  They're gonna do anything to get you to react.  Echo a curse with a curse and they'll hear only yours.  Follow a blow with a blow and they'll say, 'The Negro lost his temper.'  Your enemy will be out in force and you cannot meet him on his own low ground.  Like our Savior, you gotta have the guts to turn the other cheek."  (Caution: b-word used)

It is the first day of spring training and Jackie is getting ready to head out onto the field.  Wendell, a reporter for a small newspaper, pulls out his notepad and asks Jackie how he feels about opening day.  Jackie does little more than grunt an answer before walking away.  Wendell, following him, warns Jackie that, as the first black man in white baseball, he will face many tough questions from hard-hitting reporters.  Wendell: "Look, they're gonna try to get under your skin.  You need to be ready."  He advises Jackie to think ahead of time about his answers so he won't be surprised when the questions come.  True to Wendell's prediction, Jackie is mobbed by a group of white reporters as soon as he enters the field.  Their questions are provocative and could easily lead Jackie to portray himself as an angry black man, an image that he is determined not to project.  Possibly because of Wendell's warning, Jackie is able to face the questions and return intelligent answers that successfully deflect the racial tension they could have sparked.

Jackie stares through the window at his newborn baby son.  He tells the boy that his own father abandoned him when he was only six months old.  He remembers nothing of his dad, but promises his son that he won't have that same problem.  Jackie: "I'm gonna be here with you till the day I die."

Wendell has come to pick up Jackie from the train station.  Upon seeing the man who has helped him so much since he joined major league baseball, Jack scowls: "You again?"  During the car ride, Jackie is sulky to the point of rudeness, refusing to even respond to Wendell's attempts at conversation.  Finally, Wendell has had enough.  He reminds Jackie that, as a black reporter in a white world, Wendell suffers persecution alongside Jackie.  Realizing that Wendell is right, Jackie apologizes for his behavior: "You've been there for me through this more than anyone, besides Rae and Mr. Rickey.  But I guess that's what bothers me.  I don't like needing someone to be there for me.  I don't like needing anyone for anything.  I never have."  Wendell: "You a hard case, Jack Robinson."

Rickey has invited his old friend, Burt, to his office to discuss the management position available in the Brooklyn Dodgers organization.  Rickey, chatting: "How's the retirement?"  Burt, unenthusiastically: "Oh, it's just fine.  The roses are..."  They both laugh.  Rickey: "H--l of a thing when a man's got good health, plenty of money, and absolutely nothing to do."  Burt: "Well, I'm perfectly happy."  Burt had promised his wife that he wouldn't rejoin professional baseball: "So, the roses are beautiful, and I sleep better too."  Rickey: "Roses and sleep are two wonderful things, Burt.  But sleep you can get when you're in your casket, and flowers look great on top of it.  But  you don't look like a dead man to me, Burt."  (Caution: h-word used)

Jackie is batting in his first major league baseball game.  While he waits for the pitch, he tries to ignore the taunts of the opposing team's manager.  Chapman hurls racial slurs at Jackie, succeeding in shaking his focus.  Jackie hits a pop fly and is called "out."  As the discouraged man walks back to the dugout, Chapman can't resist continuing the insults: "You don't belong here, n----r!  You hear me?  Why don't you look in the mirror?  This is a white man's game.  All right?  Get that through your thick monkey skull!"  Jackie stares silently at the man, wrestling with his urge to fight back.  Finally, he turns away, walking into the tunnel toward the locker room.  Once alone, he smashes his bat against the wall, screaming.  He strikes the wall over and over again until his bat is destroyed.  He finally sinks to his knees, sobbing.  When Rickey approaches, Jackie angrily promises to avenge himself on the next white man who insults him.  Rickey: "You can't do that, Jack."  Jackie: "I'm supposed to just let this go on?  Right now, I'm living a sermon out there."  Rickey tells Jackie that he doesn't matter.  That their cause is bigger than Jackie's personal feelings.  If Jackie were to fight back, they would lose.  Jackie, his teeth clenched: "Do you know what it's like having somebody do this to you?"  Rickey: "No.  You do.  You're the one living the sermon.  In the wilderness.  Forty days.  All of it.  Only you."  (Caution: b-word used, gd-word used, n-word used multiple times)

Harold storms into Rickey's office, angered by Chapman's horrible treatment of Jackie out on the field.  Rickey is amused that the man who was so reluctant to hire a black player is now on fire to defend him.  Rickey: "Wonder how that happened?  Sympathy, Harold.  It's a Greek word.  It means 'to suffer.'  'I sympathize with you' means 'I suffer with you.'"  Chuckling, Rickey tells Harold that Chapman's atrocious behavior is actually doing them a service.  It is creating public sympathy for Jackie.

Herb is phoning his old friend, Branch, before their two baseball teams meet out on the field the following day.  Herb warns Branch to keep Jackie out of the game: "...you cannot bring that n----r down here."  He promises that if Jackie suits up, the entire Philadelphia team will refuse to play.  Angered, Branch refuses to remove Jackie and tells Herb that their game will be a victory by forfeit.  Branch: "You think God likes baseball, Herb?"  Herb: "What the h--l is that supposed to mean?"  Branch: "It means someday you're gonna meet God, and when He inquires as to why you didn't take the field against Robinson in Philadelphia, and you answer that it's because he was a Negro, it may not be a sufficient reply!"  (Caution: n-word used, h-word used twice, a-word used)

A father and his son are sitting in the stands, enjoying a major league baseball game together.  With innocent excitement lighting up his face, the son comments on his favorite player, and the father fondly remembers the excitement of his own childhood games.  In a flash, the wholesome and heart-warming scene turns ugly, as the sight of a black baseball player turns the father into an angry racist.  Jackie Robinson enters the field and the mostly white crowd starts booing.  When the father begins to scream out racial slurs and hate-filled words, the young boy's face initially registers confusion and distress.  He looks around at all the people yelling at Jackie, his brow furrowed.  After a moment's hesitation, the boy decides to conform to the crowd.  He beings yelling his own insults at the unknown baseball player, following the example of his father.  (Caution: h-word used, n-word used multiple times)

The Dodgers are playing in Cincinnati, where the crowd is hostile towards Jackie, the first black major league baseball player.  Warming up before the game, the Dodgers are surrounded by the sound of yells and jeers being hurled from the stands.  Jackie, doing his best to ignore them, is surprised when Pee Wee comes running toward him on the field.  Pee Wee: "They can say all they want.  We're just here to play ball."  Pee Wee, wanting to publicly show his support for Jackie, deliberately puts an arm around him in full view of the audience.  The roars of the crowd grow louder, and people begin yelling now at Pee Wee.  Undaunted, Pee Wee stands with his arm around his friend, staring out at the stands, until the jeers stop and people begin to clap.  Now, the only sounds heard from the spectators are ones of support.  Having succeeded in showing the crowd that Jackie was worthy of friendship, Pee Wee runs off to get into position. Rickey and Jackie are in the locker room after Jackie has been deliberately injured by a white opponent.  Jackie asks the general manager why he decided to challenge the status quo and take on a black major league ball player.  Rickey, referring to the recent victory in Germany: "It's time we had a victory over racism at home."  Jackie, not content with the general answer, wants to know why Rickey took the challenge personally.  Rickey tells Jackie that he was once a player on a university team where a talented black man played catcher.  Rickey, emotionally: "Fine young man.  I saw him laid low, broken, because of the color of his skin.  And I didn't do enough to help.  Told myself I did, but I didn't.  There was something unfair at the heart of the game I loved, and I ignored it.  But a time came when I could no longer do that."
