ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Young Abraham Lincoln is helping his father work when he sees his friend, Will, and his family being led away by slave traders.  Abraham jumps up immediately to try and help his friend, but his father stops him.  Father, gripping his son tightly: "Quiet!"  Abraham, struggling against his father's grasp: "He's my friend!"  Father, desperately: "Look away, Abraham.  It's not our place.  Look away."  Abraham bends down, pretending to resume his work.  Instead, he grabs his axe and runs toward the men now beating Will.  Yelling, the boy throws himself at the traders.  The trader knocks Abraham easily to the floor and whips him and Will together.  Now Abraham's parents are willing to join the fight.  Abraham's father throws the trader into the river and his mother kneels down, tending to her son.  Mr. Barts, Lincoln's boss, approaches, ordering Lincoln to return to work.  Abraham's mother refuses to turn a blind eye to the evil she sees: "Until every man is free, we are all slaves."  Mr. Barts laughs humorlessly and fires Mr. Lincoln on the spot.

Knowing that Henry has special knowledge of vampires, Abraham excitedly offers to hire him to kill his mother's murderer.  Henry refuses, moving to leave the house.  Abraham runs in front of him, blocking the door and pleading: "But you don't understand.  My mother was murdered."  Henry: "And if I teach you how to murder her murderer...so what?  How will that honor her memory?  How will that benefit the next boy whose mother is taken?  If vengeance is all you seek, seek it elsewhere."

Having offered to train Abraham to fight vampires, Henry directs the young man to chop down a tree with a single swing of his axe.  Abraham: "That's impossible."  Henry tells Abraham to pretend the tree is the thing that he hates most in the world.  Henry: "So, tell me, Mr. Lincoln...what do you hate?"  Abraham, looking at the tree: "I hate Jack Barts."  Henry, gesturing toward the tree: "Then strike him down."  Abraham swings at the tree, inflicting minimal damage.  Henry mocks his efforts, encouraging him to dwell on his hatred and use it to fuel his strength.  Finally, Abraham strikes at the thing he truly hates...his inability to save his mother from being murdered by Mr. Barts.  The tree falls under Abraham's axe.  Henry walks up to Abraham, looking him in the eye: "Power, Lincoln, real power...comes not from hate, but from truth."

Henry has promised to train Abraham to fight vampires.  He leads Abraham to a dark room: "Before you protect others from darkness, you must first be able to protect yourself.  Your enemies have the power to render themselves invisible.  You must be able to fight blind.  To see, without seeing."  Closing the door to block out the remaining light, Henry attacks Abraham.  Sounds of blows and grunting can be heard in the darkness.  When the fight is over, a bloodied Abraham asks for the lesson to be repeated.  Over the next weeks, Henry trains Abraham to fight, to wield his axe, and to use his body as a weapon against the forces of evil.

Mary is visiting Abraham and Will in jail.  (Abraham tried to save his friend from being captured by slave traders.)  Abraham, his head hanging morosely, listens quietly as Mary tells them of her efforts to have them released.  Abraham, troubled over the issue of slavery, asks Mary: "What if something was going on, something terrible...and you knew there was no way on earth one man could stop it?  What would you do?"  Mary, touching the bruises on Abraham's face: "Well, I wouldn't back away from what's right just because it's hard.  My father used to say, 'Plant your feet and stand firm.  The only question is where to put your feet.'"

Will places the Emancipation Proclamation on the desk in front of Abraham Lincoln.  Knowing the potential ramifications of the decision to sign the document into law, Will gives his friend one last chance to back out: "If you do this, there is no turning back, Abe."  Lincoln, solemnly, bending to sign: "I know.  I'm trying to protect the freedom of a nation."  Later, Lincoln is seen defending his decision before Congress: "If this war is truly a stand against evil, then let it stand for something.  If it is a war for the freedom of man, then why not give all men a reason to fight it."  Some applaud the president's decision, while others openly disagree.  Still later, thousands are gathered in front of the Capitol building to hear the reading of the Emancipation Proclamation.  "All persons held as slaves...henceforward shall be free."

An American flag waves in the background as Abraham Lincoln addresses the crowd gathered on the battlefield of Gettysburg.  "It is for us, the living, rather to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced.  It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us.  That from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion.  That we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain.  And that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom.  And that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth."
