ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

A well-practiced pickpocket strolls through a crowded square.  Unnoticed by anyone (except a small dog), he deftly swipes wallets from unsuspecting passersby.  So confident in his art, he does this brazenly, even stopping to light the cigarette of one of his victims.

Tintin and his little dog, Snowy, are exploring an old estate in the darkness of night.  Tintin has just realized that Snowy has wandered off when a large, vicious dog arrives on the scene, growling and barking at Tintin.  Tintin, frightened, begins running, and the dog leaps after him in pursuit.  After a short chase, the dog traps Tintin up against a rock wall.  Tintin covers his face protectively as the dog moves to attack.  Suddenly, fluffy little Snowy leaps out of a hole in the wall, boldly barking at the much larger dog.  The dog is immediately cowed.  He rolls onto his back, assuming a submissive pose before Snowy's fearless barking.

Snowy, a small dog, watches as his owner, Tintin, is kidnapped by two large men.  The men pack Tintin into a wooden crate and load him into their car.  Snowy bites one of the men, who kicks him back inside his house.  Undaunted, Snowy runs upstairs just in time to see the car pull away into busy traffic.  Without hesitating, Snowy leaps out of the window onto a moving fire truck.  He rides the fire truck down the street until he is able to jump onto the kidnappers' vehicle.  Seeing the dog, the driver swerves, knocking Snowy onto the street.  Keeping his eye on the vehicle, Snowy takes a shortcut through a herd of cows.  His journey ends at the docks, where Tintin's crate is loaded onto a ship bound for the Middle East.

Captain Haddock and Tintin are at sea in a lifeboat.  The Captain has been rowing hard while Tintin rests, and now he is overcome by thirst.  He searches the small storage compartment for water, but finds a bottle of whiskey instead.  An alcoholic, the captain's face lights up as he takes the bottle in his hands.  Later, Tintin awakens to the smell of smoke and the light of flames.  Leaping up, he sees the captain merrily warming himself by a fire that he started in the middle of the wooden boat.  Tintin: "Have you gone mad?"  Drunk, the captain can see no reason for Tintin's concern.  Instead, he breaks their last oar and throws it on the fire.  Tintin frantically asks the captain to assist him in quenching the fire.  Captain Haddock grabs the whiskey bottle and empties the liquid onto the already roaring flames.  The fire explodes, capsizing and ruining their boat.  As the two men drift helplessly on the upside-down vessel, the captain verbally whips himself, full of self-loathing for his foolish behavior.  He tells Tintin that at the root of his behavior is a feeling of inferiority, caused by his long-dead ancestor.  Captain: "He was a figurehead of great courage and bold exploits.  No one like him ever existed in my family.  Why do you think I drink?  Because I know I'll never be like him."

Tintin and Captain Haddock are in pursuit of Sakharine and his men, who have taken possession of three valuable scrolls.  Knowing the scrolls lead to treasure of immense proportions, all of the men are determined to have them.  As Tintin's motorcycle chases Sakharine's car through the winding streets of a Moroccan city, the scrolls change hands again and again.  Neither party willing to give up, they each take tremendous risks of life and limb in their attempts to secure the scrolls.  Braving gunfire, a burst dam, and various dangerous obstacles, the men engage on a high speed chase that promises great danger, but also great reward.

The evil Sakharine has once again defeated his opponents in the race to find the sunken treasure.  Captain Haddock asks the resourceful Tintin what they should do next to regain the upper hand.  Tintin, looking defeated, tells him there's nothing else they can do.  Captain: "I thought you were an optimist?"  Tintin: "Well, you were wrong, weren't you?  I'm a realist."  Captain, disgusted: "That's just another name for a quitter."  Tintin: "You can call me what you like.  Don't you get it?  We failed."  The captain pokes Tintin hard in the chest, pushing him backward: "Failed?  There are plenty of others willing to call you a failure.  A fool.  A loser.  A hopeless souse."  The captain pushes Tintin backward onto his chair: "Don't you ever say it of yourself!  You care about something, you fight for it.  You hit a wall, you push through it.  There's something you need to know about failure, Tintin.  You can never let it defeat you."

Tintin and Captain Haddock are searching for the treasure left behind by Haddock's seafaring ancestor.  Their search has led them to a hidden room where a statue of St. John stands overlooking a large globe.  Tintin stares helplessly at the statue: "I'm at a loss."  Approaching the globe, Haddock notices immediately that there is a mistake...a nonexistent island.  Tintin: "How do you know?"  Captain: "Because I've sailed those waters countless times.  I've been there.  It's a mistake."  Tintin's eyes widen: "What if it isn't?  Sir Francis wanted his inheritance to go to a man who was worthy of it.  A man like himself, who knows the seas like the back of his hand.  A man who could look at a globe and tell if one tiny island was out of place."  The captain pushes on the island, revealing a hidden compartment full of treasure inside the globe.
