ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Stiva, an older, married man, is having dinner with his young friend, Levin.  Stiva is passionately lamenting his marital situation: "It's so unfair!  You marry for love.  You're a good husband.  Children arrive, years depart.  And, all of a sudden, your wife grows old and tired.  And her hair is thin.  And her body...(Stiva makes a face).  And you, yourself, you still have your vigor!  And then you find yourself a martyr to distraction by so many women."  Levin, amused, but scandalized by his friend's perspective: "Forgive me, but I find that incomprehensible.  As though I should leave this restaurant and steal a roll from a baker's shop."  Stiva: "Well, you know, a freshly baked roll."  Levin: "I'm talking about love, and you're talking about your appetite."  Stiva: "Easily confused."

A very pregnant Dolly is serving her sister-in-law, Anna, tea.  Anna has come for a visit to try to help Dolly and her husband, Stiva, reconcile after Stiva had an affair with their governess.  Anna comforts Dolly as she breaks down in tears: "I don't know what to do.  I can't bear to be with him."  Anna tries to convince Dolly that Stiva loves her and their children, but Dolly isn't so sure: "And there is room for a governess?"  Anna: "That was shameful, disgraceful, but it was not love.  It was the animal in man, not the soul.  Stiva's remorse is from the soul."  Dolly, angrily: "Well, what about me?  Does his remorse make it easier for me?"  Anna: "I know you are suffering.  But, Dolly, you must tell me.  Is there enough love left in your heart?  Enough to forgive him?"  Dolly, with the picture of her husband's infidelity in her mind, feels she can't forgive.  Anna: "You love him, and he loves you.  But you can't forgive.  So, your lives must continue like this forever, with both of you wretched?"

Levin, a wealthy landowner, sits alone at a distance, watching his hired workers eat their supper.  Hungry for love and purpose, he watches as one of his young workers is cared for lovingly by his wife.  Levin is joined by his foreman, Theodore.  Theodore and Levin discuss why the workmen don't enjoy having their master wield a scythe alongside them.  Levin enjoys the hard labor: "It settles me."  Theodore: "How is that, Master?"  Levin: "When I'm mowing, I don't ask myself why I'm here."  Theodore: "You're here to be Master Konstantin Dmitrievich.  As it's always been, by the grace of God."  Levin: "My father owned you, Theodore.  Owned you like chattels to be bought and sold.  Was that by the grace of God?"  Theodore, confidently: "It was."  The foreman points to the young man Levin had been watching earlier: "That's my youngest you were looking at, there.  His young life is perilous now since the freedom came and work must be found."  Levin watches them jealously: "They look happier than I've ever been.  Is it living simply that I'm looking for?"

Levin is attending a small dinner party in Moscow when local gossip regarding a duel brings about the subject of adultery.  Karenin, still reeling from his wife's recent betrayal, utterly condemns what society sees as merely romantic: "'Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife.'"  Uncomfortable with the serious topic, the fluffy socialites quickly search for a way to lighten the mood.  Countess Nordston addresses Levin: "Would you die for love, Konstantin Dmitrievich?"  Levin: "An impure love is not love to me.  To admire another man's wife is a pleasant thing, but sensual desire indulged for its own sake is greed, a kind of gluttony, and a misuse of something sacred, which is given to us so that we may choose the one person with whom to fulfill our humanness.  Otherwise, we might as well be cattle."

Konstantin arrives home with his young bride to find that his brother is there, dying of consumption.  His brother's mistress has been caring for him, but the man is in a poor state, and filthy.  Feeling it would be a dishonor to his wife to subject her to the presence of a prostitute and a sick sinner, Konstantin resolves to send the mistress to the village and care for his brother himself.  Kneeling before his wife, he tells her of his plans, apologizing for the burden of his brother: "It is a torment to me that I have brought you under the same roof as this unfortunate...as this fallen..."  Fully expecting his wife to be disgusted by sin and sickness, he is surprised when she arrives in the attic to attend to his brother herself.  He watches, amazed, as his wife removes her furs and begins sponge bathing his dying brother.  Slowly and carefully, she washes the grime from him with her own hands.  When most women in her position in society would refuse to be in the presence of a prostitute, Kitty is not only in her presence, but is touching her, helping her care for Konstantin's brother.  Konstantin watches uncomprehendingly, tears in his eyes, as his wife bends to wash the man's feet.

Anna is making her first public appearance in society after leaving her husband for her lover, Count Vronsky.  Seated in an opera box with her friend, Princess Myagkaya, she is humiliated when all of "polite" society refuses to acknowledge her presence.  She suffers humiliation after humiliation as heads of state deliberately give her the cold shoulder, men eye her lecherously, and women pretend as though she doesn't exist.  Mortified, she fights back tears as she watches Count Vronsky move easily around the room.  He, being the man, suffers no public scorn for his part in their affair.  But he is using his social connections to try to open doors for Anna.  He moves from person to person, all old friends, begging them to visit Anna.  Some give excuses, others bluntly refuse.  He stops by one woman, kissing her hand, and begging her to be Anna's friend.  When the woman refuses, the Count is angered: "Anna isn't a criminal."  Woman: "I'd call on her if she'd only broken the law.  But she broke the rules (of society)."  It all comes to a head when a man in the next box offers Anna his program.  His wife creates a scene, calling all eyes to Anna's box: "It's a disgrace!"  Husband: "Hush, dear.  A common courtesy.  Everyone's looking!"  His wife loudly insists on leaving the opera, deliberately drawing everyone's attention.  The room is silent as the wife continues her tirade: "What are we coming to?  It's an insult to decency.  Take me home!"  As Anna's head sinks in shame and humiliation, her only friend, Princess Myagkaya, takes her hand.  The wife throws her final dagger before leaving: "She has a nerve, flaunting herself like a slut in society!"  The floodlights shine on Anna, who looks around the room, seeing every eye trained on her.  A tear courses down her cheek.

Anna is at the train station.  She walks through a crowd of people who are all frozen in place, illustrating her feeling of utter aloneness, of belonging to another world from those around her.  Scorned for so long by society, Anna is overwhelmed by her loneliness, burdened by the guilt of abandoning her family for her lover, and crazed by her jealous fears that her lover has found someone else.  She walks slowly past the frozen people, looking at eyes that see her but don't know her, don't acknowledge her.  Finally, she sits down on a bench by the tracks.  Her eyes fill with tears.  Suddenly, the sound of the train whistle brings her out of her own thoughts.  Gasping, she makes a sudden decision.  She stands as the train comes toward her.  Taking a deep breath, she dives onto the tracks.  In the second before the train hits her, she breathes: "Oh, God.  Forgive me!"  The train strikes her, and she lies on the tracks, dead.

Levin, a wealthy landowner, is helping his workers harvest the wheat.  His foreman, Theodore, admires him for his exemplary life: "Well, you don't press people hard, but you live rightly.  For your soul, not your belly."  Levin: "How do we know what's rightly?"  Theodore: "Just by knowing it.  How else?"  Levin: "But I believe in reason."  Theodore: "Reason.  Was it reason that made you choose your wife?"  Levin stops working as understanding seems to dawn on him.  He walks into his house, where his young wife is bathing their baby.  He tells Kitty that he has understood something, but doesn't tell her what it is.  Instead, he takes his son in his arms, marveling as the tiny fingers grasp his thumb.
