ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Reporters share the story of young Miles, a leukemia patient who is about to "live out his dream to be a superhero."  Thousands of volunteers have helped to transform San Francisco into Gotham City to allow five-year-old Miles to be Batman for a day.  A song plays in the background: ? "We can be heroes, just for one day..." ? as footage of Miles putting on his Batkid gear, riding around the city in the Bat car, and waving at thousands of fans is shown.  The crowd cheers as the little, caped hero runs down the city street to fight the bad guys.  Later, high up in a building, Miles looks out at the thousands of gathered fans, not understanding that they are there for him.  He waves, enjoying the fulfillment of his dream, not realizing he is fulfilling the dream of millions of others...to be a hero, just for one day.

As young Miles's parents are interviewed about the day they discovered he had leukemia, a comic-book-like cartoon shows their experiences.  Miles's mother recalls how, when Miles was only 18 months old, they discovered a lump on his jaw.  When the local urgent care diagnosed the lump as a mere ear infection, the parents were relieved, yet still suspicious.  A later diagnosis from their family doctor confirmed their worst fears.  Miles's Dad tells how he received the news: "Natalie called me in just absolute hysterics, just screaming, crying, and she tried to tell me what was wrong.  I had no idea what she was saying."  The cartoon shows a woman screaming, tears running down her face, and a talk-bubble reading: "Leukemia!"  The very next day, little Miles was flown to the nearest large city, strapped to his father and on a gurney.

Patricia describes an experience ten years earlier when she worked with EJ to make the wish of a young boy with cancer come true.  The eight-year-old Ben's biggest desire was to create a video game where kids could fight cancer.  In remission himself, he wanted the game for all of the sick friends he left behind at the hospital.  When Patricia first approached a video game company for help, they told her the wish was impossible...something that would cost a million dollars and take years to complete.  Never one to take no for an answer, Patricia enlisted her friend EJ, who worked for seven months with Ben to create his video game.  Photos and videos of the two show them working diligently on their project.  Finally, when the game was finished, it was downloaded over 300,000 times.  EJ then shares how important Ben was to the project.  His ideas and determination made the game more successful than if EJ were working by himself.  Patricia, showing a photo of an award ceremony for Ben and EJ: "Both of them were recognized by the Dalai Lama for their unselfish acts."

Patricia explains how a service project that initially began small exploded into something that reached around the world.  Seeking a few hundred volunteers for Miles's wish, she sent an email to Mike, who posted the link to his Facebook account.  It was this action that is believed to have begun the snowball in internet communications that turned the focus of the world onto Miles and his plight.  Mike, laughing: "I knew that spending too much time on Facebook would finally pay off!"  Mike says that posting about the project was "leading by example," and giving others a chance to do something themselves.  The project moved from Facebook to Twitter to BlogSpot and around the various methods of cyber-communication popular with folks these days.  A rapid-fire view of dozens of posts, blogs, articles, and tweets from all around the world give an impression of how fast the word was communicated about Miles's need.  From San Francisco to Australia, people were getting excited and wanting to help.  San Francisco's Chief of Police describes the scene: "Everybody wondering, 'What can I do?'"

EJ describes the day before the Batkid event, when Miles received training to be a superhero.  As EJ rigged an acrobatic gym with an obstacle course mirroring that which Miles would be facing against the Penguin, dozens of acrobats and circus performers completed their regular training while wearing superhero costumes.  Kendall, describing the atmosphere they wished to create for Miles: "We wanted him to sort of feel like, this is just normal, right?  That's just what happens here.  This is a place where regular people get training to be able to be superheroes."  Footage of the practice shows Miles and his little brother training with Wonder Woman, Superman, the Flash, and others.  Kendall: "He understood that this was part of how you make that happen, that dreams come true sometimes with a lot of hard work."  Miles was made familiar with the kind of obstacles he would have to face the next day, so that when he was confronted by "evil," he wouldn't be frightened.  And, finally, the five-year-old tackled the flying trapeze, courageously doing something many adults would balk at.  Wonder Woman, helping Miles down from the bar after his flight: "Now that's a superhero, right there!"

The people involved in the project to give Miles his wish were ultimately surprised at the impact Batkid had on the world.  Possibly billions were inspired by the story of the boy battling leukemia and, for some, it was a life-changer.  Patricia: "I talked to a colleague of mine who said volunteerism is up, that people are citing Batkid as a reason to get involved in their community and make a difference."  Mike describes the atmosphere in the entire city as being different, more happy, more kind, more unified.  Mike: "I got on the bus and everyone was smiling.  There was something positive in the air.  People seemed to be just...kinder that day."  Clovicko: "It's amazing the capacity that people have that I don't think we give ourselves or we give one another sometimes.  And a five-year-old restored humanity."  Mike: "It's kind of odd, almost, that it doesn't happen more."

EJ remarks that kids don't have the grown-up tendency towards skepticism.  They believe in the impossible.  Hans Zimmer, the world-renowned composer, shares this faith: "Listen to a little boy.  Listen to somebody dreaming.  Listen to somebody having a preposterous plan.  In a funny way, I mean, that's how I live my life.  Everybody wanted me to become an accountant or something like this.  If you're a musician, everybody tells you, don't do it.  It's impossible."  Zimmer's philosophy: "Don't take no for an answer."

Chris Taylor describes being impacted by the thousands of people expressing a desire for Batkid to save them.  Taylor: "One thing that struck me was how many people were holding up signs saying, 'Save us, Batkid.'"  Footage of throngs of people at the event show many with signs, shirts, posters, etc. begging for Batkid's help.  Taylor: "I looked at those signs and I thought, 'You mean that literally.'"  Taylor continues: "In helping him to live this dream, we were saving ourselves.  We were saving something rotten about our grown-up souls.  And we were remembering something very important.  We wonder why we're not happy a lot of the time, and it's because we forget this sort of thing.  But here was an event that forced us to remember."
