ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Ashley is sitting in Celebrate Recovery, a Christian support group for people struggling with addiction.  She listens to Melissa, who shares: "You stay young and high for so long that, one day, you look back and you realize...you're all alone."  Ashley, who had been staring in silence at the floor, looks up at this point, as if something has resonated with her.  Melissa, her face tired and sad: "Help gone, and what's left?  Nothing."  The woman next to Melissa pats her knee comfortingly.  When Beatrice, the group leader, asks if anyone else would like to share, Ashley decides to speak.  Looking at Melissa: "I lost everything, too.  Because of meth.  They said I was an unfit mother.  Took away my little girl.  Every time I do it, I think, 'This is the last time.  I can control this.'  And I do it again.  And again.  And again.  I just can't...I just can't stop.  I like it too much."  The hopelessness on Ashley's face is mirrored by many in the circle of women.  Later, hands linked, they bow their heads while Beatrice prays: "Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time, trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will."

Beatrice follows Ashley out of the support group, worried because she hasn't seen the girl in a long time.  Beatrice gently probes, trying to discover how long Ashley has been clean, but it is obvious from Ashley's reticence that the girl is still deeply in the clutches of her addiction.  Ashley, despairingly: "If I can't do this, then I don't get my daughter back - -"  Beatrice, her face filled with compassion: "I know.  It's not easy."  Beatrice pulls a copy of The Purpose Driven Life out of her purse, handing it to Ashley: "It can help.  It helped me.  Ashley, you can't do this alone."  Putting a hand gently on the girl's arm, Beatrice says goodbye: "If you need me, call."  As soon as the woman is out of sight, Ashley chucks the book into the garbage can and leaves the building.  Beatrice, hearing the loud sound of the falling book, turns around, knowing the girl has rejected it.

Ashley is sorting through laundry in her young daughter's room when she finds an old stash of meth.  She picks up the small bag, turning it over and over in her fingers.  She begins to breathe heavily as she wrestles with her addiction, fighting the incredible urge to use the drug.  Images of her beautiful little girl flash through her mind.  Ashley, thinking of the smiling, blue-eyed preschooler, walks to the bathroom.  Opening the bag, she holds it out over the toilet, willing herself to pour it out.  Her hand frozen, she stares at the white crystals, trying to fight the temptation that is threatening to overcome her.  Minutes later, we see Ashley in her daughter's bedroom.  She has just finished using meth.  She walks over to her daughter's bed and picks up a little sweater, holding it against her cheek.

Brian, high on meth, has become paranoid, suspicious because Ashley didn't take drugs with him.  Holding a gun to the back of her head, he pushes her face close to the remaining line of powder: "Take it!"  Ashley, holding back sobs, stares at the drugs that have destroyed her life.  She knows she never wants to do them again.  Ashley, quietly: "No."  Brian, yanking Ashley backward: "What?  Do you want to live?"  Ashley: "I do."  Brian, putting the gun back against the base of her skull: "Then take it!"  Ashley, sniffling, quietly: "No."  Brian, whispering ominously into her ear: "Do it."  Ashley shakes her head.  Brian, looking stunned, slowly begins to straighten.  Saying nothing, he walks out of the room.

Brian asks Ashley to read aloud from her book, The Purpose Driven Life.  Ashley begins to read: "It all starts with God.  It's not about you.  The purpose of your life is far greater than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness.  It's far greater than your family, your career, or even your wildest dreams and ambitions.  If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God."  Brian, angry, stops her: "That's a bunch of church crap.  Place is full of con artists and hustlers.  My dad went to church every Sunday and he was a mean drunk."

Lt. Chestnut has taken a break to grab a cup of coffee from the vending machine.  He deposits his coins and punches in his choice on the number pad.  Nothing happens.  He knocks a few times on the front of the machine, hoping to jostle it into submission.  Nothing happens.  Frustrated, he hits the side of the machine, bending down to see if anything is coming from the dispenser.  Grabbing the machine with both hands, he shakes it vigorously.  Nothing happens.  Furious now, he uses all his strength to push the machine over onto the ground.  Coins shoot out of the slot and coffee begins to pour out all over the floor.

Brian and Ashley are seated at her kitchen table, eating breakfast.  Ashley has been reading aloud excerpts from The Purpose Driven Life.  Brian suddenly breaks into her reading, telling Ashley that he broke out of prison to see his newborn son.  He confesses that when he shot the judge that was trying to imprison him, it felt good.  Brian, tears in his eyes: "If I were the one who killed your husband, could you forgive me?"  Ashley is silent for a few moments before answering: "I don't know.  Maybe God can."

Lt. Chestnut has asked Ashley to help talk Brian into surrendering.  Taking a megaphone, Ashley begins to speak to the killer hiding in her apartment: "Brian.  It's Ashley.  I came back."  Inside the apartment, Brian looks up in surprise.  Ashley continues: "It's not too late, Brian.  There is purpose in your life.  It's time.  Do the right thing, Brian."  Lt. Chestnut takes over the megaphone, telling Brian he has one last chance...30 seconds to make a decision.  Brian appears to be thinking.  The apartment is surrounded by armed snipers.  Everybody is watching for signs of movement.  Finally, a white flag appears from around the corner of the building.  Brian steps forward and surrenders to the authorities.

Rick Warren has come to Oprah's show to meet Ashley.  Rick: "There are two great stories in Ashley's life.  One of them is, you don't have to be perfect to be used by God.  If God only used perfect people, nothing would get done because none of us are perfect.  I think the other thing is that, no matter how bad your problems are, God's purpose is bigger.  Everybody's lookin' for hope.  The book's just a book about hope.  Because when people are going through a crisis, they're looking for hope."
