ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

Casablanca is home to "Rick's Cafe Americain," an upscale nightclub and gambling den that attracts a mixed clientele.  Rick Blaine, the bitter, cynical American expatriate that owns and runs it, sits at his desk in the "secret" gambling room overseeing his customers.  The bouncer guarding the door looks to get Rick's permission for a couple's desire to enter.  Rick gives an approving nod.   Behind the couple, a distinguished looking Frenchman also tries to enter.  The bouncer looks to Rick again for approval, but this time Rick shakes his head no.      Bouncer (closing the door): "I'm sorry, sir.  This is a private room."     Man: "Of all the nerve!  Who do you think...  I know there is gambling in there," pushing the door back open, "There is no secret.  You dare not keep me out of here!"       Rick comes to the door and asks what the trouble is.     Man: "I have been in every gambling room between Honolulu and Berlin," handing Rick his card, "and if you think I want to be kept out of a saloon like this, you're very much mistaken."    Rick looks the man in the eye and rips up his card: "Your cash is good at the bar."       Man: "What?  Do you know who I am?"     Rick: "I do.  You're lucky the bar is open to you."       Man (walking away): "This is outrageous!  I shall report it to the Angriff!"     (Caution: lots of smoking and drinking)

At Rick's Cafe Americain nightclub, pianist Sam gets the down-on-their-luck crowd to sing-a-long to "Knock on Wood:"   Sam: ♪ "Say, who's got trouble?"     Crowd: "We got trouble!"     Sam:  "How much trouble?"     Crowd: "Too much trouble!"     Sam:  "Well now don't you frown, just knuckle down and knock on wood..."       Sam:  "Who's unhappy?"     Crowd: "We're unhappy!"     Sam:  "How unhappy?"     Crowd: "Too unhappy!"       Sam:  "Uh, oh.  That won't do.  When you are blue just knock on wood..."  Sam:  "Who's unlucky?"    Crowd: "We're unlucky!"     Sam:  "How unlucky?"     Crowd: "Too unlucky!"     Sam:  "But your luck will change, if you arrange, to knock on wood..."       Sam:  "Who's got nothin'?"     Crowd: "We got nothin'!"     Sam:  "How much nothin'?"     Crowd: "Too much nothin'!"     Sam:  "Say, nothin's not an awful lot, but knock on wood..."          Sam (chuckles):  "Now who's happy?"     Crowd: "We're happy!"     Sam:  "Just how happy?"     Crowd: "Very happy!"     Sam:  "That's the way we're gonna stay, so knock on wood..."        Sam: ? "Now who's lucky?"     Crowd: "We're all lucky!"     Sam:  "Just how lucky?"     Crowd: "Very lucky!"     Sam:  "Well smile up then, and once again, let's knock on wood!"  ♪        (Caution: lots of smoking and drinking)

The beautiful Yvonne sits dejected at the bar staring at Rick, the debonair nightclub owner and old boyfriend, while bartender Sascha continues to flirt and pour her another drink.  Rick comes over and talks to Sascha about business...     Yvonne: "Where were you last night?"     Rick: "That's so long ago, I don't remember."     Yvonne: "Will I see you tonight?"     Rick: "I never make plans that far ahead."     Irritated, she ask Sascha for another drink.     Rick: "Sascha, she's had enough..."     Yvonne: "Don't listen to him, Sascha, fill it up."     Sascha: "Yvonne, I love you, but he pays me."     Yvonne: "Rick, I'm sick and tired of having you...!"     Rick (grabbing her arm): "Sascha, call a cab.  Come on, we're going to get your coat."     Yvonne: "Take your hands off me!"     Rick (continuing to hold her): "You're going home.  You've had a little too much to drink."     He ushers her outside while Sascha hails a cab.     Yvonne: "Who do you think you are, pushing me around?  What a fool I was to fall for a man like you."      Rick: "Go with her, Sascha, and be sure she gets home," looking him in the eye, "and come right back."      Sascha: "Yes, boss."      (Caution: lots of smoking and drinking)

Ugarte, a petty criminal responsible for the murder of two German couriers to obtain the almost priceless "letters of transit" out of Casablanca, is arrested in Rick's club by the local police under the command of Captain Louis Renault, a corrupt opportunist. Ugarte tries to make a run for it, firing his pistol in the process.  He runs into Rick himself, a long time acquaintance, and pleads for the stoic hero to help him...      Rick: "Don't be a fool.  You can't get away."     Ugarte: "But Rick, hide me, do something!" as authorities catch up and drag him away, "You must help me!  Rick!  Rick!..."     A distinguished patron of the club walks up to Rick and comments, "When they come to get me, Rick, I hope you'll be more of a help."     Rick: "I stick my neck out for nobody."     After calming the crowd and asking Sam to keep playing, Rick is asked to join Renault and Major Strasser, a Nazi thug...     Strasser: "Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?  Unofficially, of course."     Rick: "Make it official if you like."     Strasser: "What is your nationality?"     Rick: "I'm a drunkard."     Everyone laughs.     Renault: "That makes Rick a citizen of the world."     Rick: "I was born in New York City, if that'll help you any."     Strasser: "I understand that you came here from Paris at the time of the occupation."     Rick: "There seems to be no secret about that."     Strasser: "Are you one of those people who can't imagine Germans in their beloved Paris?"     Rick: "It's not particularly my beloved Paris."       Other Nazi: "Can you imagine us in London?"     Rick: "When you get there, ask me."     Renault: "Oh, diplomatist!"     Strasser: "How about New York?"     Rick: "Well, there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn't advise you to try to invade."       Strasser: "Uh, huh.  Who do you think will win the war?"     Rick: "I haven't the slightest idea."     Renault: "Rick is completely neutral about everything.  And that takes in the field of women, too."

At Rick's club, Ilsa -- now a married woman who mysteriously left him in Paris after the two fell madly in love -- asks their mutual friend, Sam, to bring his piano over...     Sam: "I never expected to see you again."     Ilsa: "It's been a long time."     Sam: Yes, ma'am.  A lot of water under the bridge."     Ilsa: "Some of the old songs, Sam."     Sam: "Yes, ma'am," as he begins playing.     Ilsa: "Where is Rick?"     Sam (hiding the truth): "I don't know.  I ain't seen him all night."    Ilsa: "When will he be back?"     Sam: "Not tonight no more.  He ain't comin', uh... He went home."     Ilsa (smiling): "Does he always leave so early?"     Sam: "Oh, he never... Well, he's got a girl up to the Blue Parrot.  Goes up there all the time."     Ilsa takes a drink of her cocktail, "You used to be a much better liar, Sam."     Sam stops playing and turns to her, "Leave him alone, Miss Ilsa.  You're bad luck to him."     Ilsa: "Play it once, Sam.  For old time's sake."     Sam (playing dumb): "I don't know what you mean, Miss Ilsa."     Ilsa (smiling): "Play it, Sam.  Play, 'As Time Goes By.' "     Sam: "Oh, I can't remember it, Miss Ilsa.  I'm a little rusty on it."     Ilsa: "I'll hum it for you..."     Sam starts to play it.     Ilsa (getting emotional): "Sing it, Sam."     Sam: ♪ "You must remember this... A kiss is just a kiss... A sigh is just a sigh... The fundamental things apply... As time goes by... And when two lovers woo... They still say I love you...  On that you can rely..." ♪      Entering from another room, Rick suddenly hears the song and bolts toward Sam.     "Sam, I thought I told you never to play...," but Sam nods toward Ilsa, as the two ex-lover's eyes meet...

It's after hours at the club, with Rick bitter and heartbroken, taking his sorrows out on a bottle of booze.  An old romance showed up at the club earlier that evening, Ilsa, who had the cafe's entertainer, Sam, sing the ex-lovers' favorite song, "As Time Goes By."  Joined by Sam, the pianist tries his best to get his good friend out of his funk by suggesting they leave.  It doesn't work.  Rick says he isn't leaving, but is instead waiting for Ilsa, whom he's certain will be back.    Sam persists: "We'll take the car and drive all night.  We'll get drunk.  We'll go fishing and stay away until she's gone."     Rick: "Shut up and go home, will you?"     Sam: "No, sir, I'm staying right here," as he begins playing the piano while his boss reflects on the evening's earlier events.     "Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world... she walks into mine," looking at Sam, "What's that you're playing?"     Sam: "Oh, just a little something of my own."     Rick: "Well, stop it.  You know what I want to hear."     Sam: "No, I don't."     Rick: "You played it for her.  You can play it for me."       Sam: "Well, I don't think I can remember..."     Sam: "If she can stand it, I can!  Play it!"  Sam: "Yes, boss."      He begrudgingly plays the song -- causing sadness and tears to well up in his old friend...

In a flashback, Paris is on the brink of being overthrown by the Germans.  The two lovers, Ilsa and Rick, take in an announcement by the Gestapo outside, causing Ilsa to be frustrated and afraid.  "Well, with the whole world crumbling, we pick this time to fall in love."     Rick: "Yea, it's pretty bad timing."      If only they had met earlier in life, as they share what they were doing 10 years ago.  They kiss, but are interrupted by distant cannon fire, as the Germans move ever closer.  Rick encourages Ilsa to relax and enjoy the champagne he'd poured earlier.  Their friend, Sam, encourages him to leave due to the price on Rick's head.  They continue to talk about how little they know about each other.    Ilsa: "You are in danger, and you must leave Paris."      Rick: "No, no.  WE must leave."     Ilsa: "Yes, of course.  We."     They agree to meet at the train station, with Rick taking a risk by suggesting they get married along the way.  He jokes that the engineer should be able to marry them, while Ilsa insists it's too far ahead to make such plans.      Ilsa (emotionally): "I love you so much.  And I hate this war so much.  Oh, it's a crazy world, anything can happen.  If you shouldn't get away... if something should keep us apart..."  Ilsa continues to worry, but Rick interrupts her with a kiss.     Ilsa: "Kiss me.  Kiss me as if it were the last time."     He does.  Later at the train station, Rick worriedly waits in the rain for Ilsa who is running late.  Sam comes up with bags packed and informs Rick that he hasn't seen her, even though she did check out of her hotel, leaving Rick a letter: "Richard, I cannot go with you or ever see you again.  You must not ask why.  Just believe that I love you.  Go, my darling, and God bless you.  Ilsa."    The last call for boarding sounds as the brokenhearted man makes his way to the step...looking longingly back into the train's steam...as it slowly pulls away...     (Caution: smoking and drinking)

Earlier at Rick's club, he's approached by a young Bulgarian woman who's naive husband of only eight weeks is at the roulette table trying to win enough money for their exit visas to start a new life in America.   Rick coldly tells her that everyday in Casablanca has problems and hers may work out.  He heads to the gambling room (followed by the young lady) and stands behind her husband who is obviously losing what little money they have.     Roulette clerk: "Do you wish to place another bet, sir?"     Young man: "No, no.  I guess not."     Rick (whispering): "Have you tried 22 tonight?" catching the clerk's eyes, "I said 22."     The young man places his last few chips on 22 as the clerk spins the wheel.  22 wins!   The young man is rewarded with several large stacks of chips.     Rick: "Leave it there."     The clerk spins -- 22 wins again! -- garnering a hefty load of chips.     Rick (whispering to young man): "Cash it in and don't come back."      Rick goes to the clerk and asks, "How are we doing tonight?"     Clerk: "A couple of thousand less than I thought there would be," as he winks.   Rick heads to the door and is stopped by the wife, who gives him a big hug and kiss.    Rick, while prying her hands off, "He's just a lucky guy."      Rick heads to the bar, where the head waiter informs the bartender of Rick's generosity.  The bartender immediately hugs Rick and kisses him on both cheeks, "Boss, you've done a beautiful thing."     Rick pushes him back, "Go away, you crazy Russian."     Captain Renault (who sent the woman and witnessed the whole thing) approaches Rick, "As I suspected.  You're a rank sentimentalist."     Rick: "Yeah, why?"     Renault: "Why do you interfere with my little romances?"     Rick: "Put it down as a gesture to love."     (Caution: lots of smoking and drinking)

In Rick's club, Major Strasser leads a group of German officers around a piano in singing "Die Wacht am Rhein," a patriotic German song. Irritated by the Nazi's boldness, Laszlo (a fugitive Czech Resistance leader and hero of freedom -- a continual thorn in the German's side worldwide) orders the house band to play "La Marseillaise," the French national anthem. After the band looks to Rick and gets his approval, Laszlo begins singing by himself, until the long-suppressed patriotic fervor moves the crowd to join him -- drowning out the Germans. In retaliation, Major Strasser orders the police to shut the club down.    (Caution: lots of smoking and drinking)

Rick returns to his apartment late at night and finds Ilsa secretly waiting (an ex-lover who stood him up in Paris).  Ilsa is desperate to acquire the letters of transit for her husband, Laszlo, to escape the Nazis and flee to America.  After initial surprise and small talk, Rick gets to the heart of the matter.     "Your unexpected visit isn't connected by any chance with the letters of transit?  It seems as long as I have those letters I'll never be lonely."     Ilsa: "You can ask any price you want, but you must give me those letters."     Rick: "I went all through that with your husband.  It's no deal."     Ilsa: "I know how you feel about me, but I'm asking you to put your feelings aside for something more important."     Rick: "Do I have to hear again what a great man your husband is, what an important cause he's fighting for?"     Ilsa: "But it was your cause too.  In your own way you were fighting for the same thing."     Rick: "I'm not fighting for anything anymore except myself.  I'm the only cause I'm interested in."     Ilsa: "Richard, we loved each other once.  If those days meant anything at all to you..."     Rick: "I wouldn't bring up Paris if I were you.  It's poor salesmanship."     Ilsa: "Please, please listen to me.  If you knew what really happened.  If you only knew the truth."     Rick: "I wouldn't believe you no matter what you told me.  You'd say anything now to get what you want."     Ilsa (moving to tears): "You want to feel sorry for yourself, don't you?  With so much at stake all you can think of is your own feelings.  One woman has hurt you, and you'll take your revenge on the rest of the world.  You're a coward and a weakling!"     Regretting the words, she takes a breath and apologizes, "No.  Oh, Richard.  I'm sorry.  I'm sorry," wiping away the tears, "but you are our last hope.  If you don't help us, Victor Laszlo will die in Casablanca."     Rick: "What of it?  I'm going to die in Casablanca.  It's a good spot for it."   He turns coldly from her to light a cigarette.  But as he turns back -- she's holding a gun!     Ilsa: "All right.  I tried to reason with you.  I tried everything.  Now I want those letters.  Get them for me."     Rick: "I don't have to.  I got them right here."     Ilsa: "Put them on the table."     Rick (smiling): "No."     Ilsa: "For the last time, put them on the table."     Rick: "If Laszlo and the cause mean so much to you, you won't stop at anything," moving very close to her, "All right, I'll make it easier for you... Go ahead and shoot.  You'll be doing me a favor."

Nightclub owner Rick Blaine has a late night visitor.  Victor Laszlo is a famous Czech Resistance leader who is stuck in Casablanca with his wife -- trying to flee to America.  While attending an underground meeting that evening, Laszlo and Rick's head waiter just managed to escape when the meeting was broken up.  While tending to a cut that Laszlo received, Rick asks: "Don't you sometimes wonder if it's worth all this... I mean what you're fighting for?"       Victor: "We might as well question why we breathe.  If we stop breathing, we'll die.  If we stop fighting our enemies, the world will die."      Victor is a firm believer that each person has a destiny for good or for evil.  He has also learned some things about Rick: that despite the club owner's cynical tone, he is actually a man who believes in the underdog.  Rick is surprised that Victor knows so much about his destiny.  Victor also shares that he has figured out that due to unusual circumstances, not the fault of either of them, they fell in love with the same woman.  As a man in love with Ilsa, he asks Rick to provide the transit letters so Rick can take Ilsa and leave Casablanca.       Rick: "You love her that much?"        Victor confirms his love as the French Vichy police suddenly breakdown the door and arrest him.      Rick casually mentions to Victor, "It seems that destiny has taken a hand."

Rick convinces Captain Renault to release Laszlo from jail (a heroic Czech Resistance leader fighting the Nazis) by promising to frame him for a more serious crime at the airport.  To further ward of any suspicions, Rick tells Renault that he and Ilsa will use the letters of transit and flee to America (Ilsa believes that he is sending Laszlo by himself to continue his work, while she stays with Rick in Casablanca -- unable to resist her love).  However, when Renault comes to arrest Laszlo at the airport, Rick double crosses the Captain, forcing him at gunpoint to help in their escape.  But Rick has one more surprise.  He tells Ilsa to board the plane with her husband...      Ilsa: "But I don't understand.  What about you?"     Rick: "I'm staying here with (Renault) until the plane gets safely away."     Ilsa: "No, Richard!  What has happened to you?  Last night you said..."     Rick: "Last night we said a great many things.  You said I was to do the thinking for both of us.  Well, I've done a lot of it since then and it all adds up to one thing: Your getting on that plane with Victor where you belong."       Ilsa: "But, Richard, no..."     Rick: "Now, you've got to listen to me.  Do you have any idea what you'd have to look forward to if you stayed here?   Nine chances out of ten we'd both wind up in a concentration camp.  Isn't that true, Louis?"     Renault: "I'm afraid Major Strasser would insist."     Ilsa: "You're saying this only to make me go."     Rick: "I'm saying it because it's true.  Inside of us we both know you belong with Victor.  You're part of his work, the thing that keeps him going.  If that plane leaves the ground and you're not with him, you'll regret it.  Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon.  And for the rest of your life."     Ilsa: "But what about us?"     Rick: "We'll always have Paris..."       Ilsa: "When I said I would never leave you..."     Rick: "And you never will.  But I've got a job to do, too.  And where I'm going, you can't follow.  What I've got to do, you can't be any part of.  Ilsa, I'm no good at being noble.  But it doesn't take much to see that the problems of three little people don't amount to a hill of beans in this crazy world.  Someday you'll understand that."       Ilsa puts her head down and starts to cry...   Rick lifts her chin, "Now, now.  Here's looking at you, kid."

Rick holds a gun on his old crooked friend, Captain Renault, as Victor Laszlo and his wife, Ilsa (resistance heroes fighting the Nazis), board their plane of escape....     Renault: "Well, I was right.  You are a sentimentalist."     Rick: "Stay where you are.  I don't know what you're talking about."      Renault: "What you just did for Laszlo.  And that fairy tale you invented to send Ilsa away with him.  I know a little about women, my friend.  She went.  But she knew you were lying."            Rick: "Anyway, thanks for helping me out."     Renault: "I suppose you know this isn't going to be very pleasant for either of us.  Especially for you.  I'll have to arrest you, of course."      Rick: "As soon as the plane goes, Louis."     Major Strasser, a Nazi thug, suddenly arrives.      Renault: "Victor Laszlo is on that plane."     Strasser: "Why do you stand here?  Why don't you stop him?"     Renault: "Ask Mr. Rick."     Strasser heads for a phone.     Rick: "Get away from that phone."     But Strasser tries to make the call anyway as the two men draw their pistols -- resulting in Strasser being killed.   The local police arrives.  Captain Renault fills in his men: "Major Strasser has been shot," looking at Rick momentarily with a thin grin, "Round up the usual suspects."     The police take Strasser's body and take off as Renault and Rick smile at each other.     Renault: "Well, Rick, you're not only a sentimentalist, but you've become a patriot."      After the two men watch the plane fly away, the begin to walk into the fog...     Renault: "It might be a good idea for you to disappear from Casablanca for a while.  There's a Free French garrison over at Brazzaville.  I could be endued to arrange a passage."      ...Rick: "I could use a trip.  But it doesn't make any difference about our bet.  You still owe me 10,000 francs."     Renault: "And that 10,000 francs should pay our expenses."      Rick: "OUR expenses?"      Renault: "Mmm."      Rick: "Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."           (Caution: smoking and drinking)
