ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Scrooge is at the undertaker's, bearing witness to the death of his friend, Jacob Marley.  Scrooge signs the death certificate after examining the body inside the coffin.  The undertaker holds out his hand for payment, but Scrooge just stares at him.  The undertaker coughs slightly, hand still held out.  Scrooge clenches his jaw and reaches into his purse.  He pulls out one coin and looks longingly at it.  Sighing, he places it in the man's hand.  The undertaker keeps his hand out, silently insisting on more payment.  Scrooge scowls and reaches once more into his purse.  His fingers shaking, he moves to drop the coin into the man's hand.  His hand hovers reluctantly, finally dropping the coin.  The undertaker's assistant moves to put the lid on the coffin, but Scrooge orders him to stop.  The assistant watches in shocked revulsion as Scrooge removes the two coins from the dead man's eyes, saying: "Tuppence is tuppence."  Scrooge pockets them and walks away.

Fred has come to wish his uncle, Scrooge, a merry Christmas.  Scrooge: "Bah, humbug.  Merry Christmas?  What reason have you to be merry?  You're poor enough."  Fred: "What right have you to be so dismal?  You're rich enough."  Scrooge thinks Christmas is a waste of time: "What's Christmas time for you but a time for paying bills without money?  A time for finding yourself a year older and not a penny richer?  If I could work my will, every idiot who goes about with 'Merry Christmas' on his lips should be boiled in his own pudding and buried with a stake of holly through his heart."  Scrooge tells Fred that Christmas has never done him any good.  Fred: "There are many things from which I have derived good and have not profited...Christmas being among them.  But I've always thought of Christmas as being a kind, charitable time.  The only time when men open their shut-up hearts and think of all people as fellow travelers to the grave and not some other race of creatures bound on other journeys.  And therefore, Uncle, although it has never put a scrap of gold or silver in my pocket, I believe it has done me good, and I say, God bless it!"

Two men have come to ask the wealthy Scrooge to donate money to the poor for Christmas.  Scrooge takes the men's business card and lights it on fire.  He tells the men that the poor belong in prisons and workhouses and those are the only organizations he would support.  Scrooge refuses to give the men a single penny to buy food for the destitute, saying that if the poor will not go to prisons and workhouses, then they should die and relieve the surplus population.  The two men stare at Scrooge, astounded at his cold heartedness.

Jacob Marley's ghost has come to Scrooge's house to warn him of his impending doom if he doesn't turn from his life of sin.  Marley is bound in yards and yards of chains.  The chains are attached to heavy weights, making his burden an unbearable one.  Marley: "Oh, woe is me!"  Scrooge: "You are fettered in chains, why?"  Marley: "I wear the chain I forged in life.  I made it link by link and yard by yard.  Do you recognize its pattern?  Can you imagine the weight and length of the chain you bear?"  Marley tells Scrooge his own chains were just as long seven years earlier and have been growing ever since.  Marley warns Scrooge: "Oh, yours is a ponderous chain."  Scrooge, cowering in fear: "Jacob, tell me no more.  Speak comfort to me, Jacob."  Marley: "I have none to give."  Marley tells Scrooge that his existence in the afterlife is one of torment, constantly traveling with his heavy burden.  Marley: "No rest, no peace."  Marley cries out in wrenching regret: "I was blind!  Blind!  I could not see my own life!  Squandered and misused.  Oh, woe...oh, woe is me!"

Belle sits across from Scrooge, saying gravely: "Another idol has replaced me.  A golden one."  Scrooge shakes his head at his fiancee: "There is nothing on this earth more terrifying to me than a life doomed to poverty."  Scrooge believes his greed and love of money is just an "honest pursuit of substance."  He doesn't understand why Belle has a problem with it.  Belle: "You fear the world too much, Ebenezer."  Scrooge tells Belle that even if his priorities have changed since becoming wealthy, he still cares about Belle.  Belle asks Scrooge if they hadn't been engaged already (when they were both poor), would he now try to win her heart.  Scrooge doesn't answer, knowing Belle is a penniless orphan.  To Belle, his silence is answer enough and she releases Scrooge from their engagement.  Belle: "May you be happy in the life you've chosen."

The Spirit of Christmas Present has brought Scrooge to look down on a bakery in London.  Scrooge, accusingly, equating the Spirit with the priests of the day: "Spirit, these poor people have no means to cook their food, and yet you seek to close the only places in which they can warm their meager meals every seventh day."  (The priests, in the name of not working on the Sabbath, wanted the bakeries closed.)  Spirit, angrily: "Hear me, Scrooge.  There are some upon this earth of yours, who claim to know me and my brothers and do these deeds of ill will and selfishness in our name.  These so-called 'men of the cloth' are as strange to me and my kin as if they never lived.  Charge their doings to them, not us."

Several of Bob Cratchit's children have arrived home on Christmas day with the goose for their dinner.  (This is the best meal the family will eat all year long.  The rest of the year is a struggle for survival on the meager wages Cratchit earns from his miserly boss, Scrooge.)  As the family gathers around the table, Bob lifts his glass in genuine gratitude: "To Mr. Scrooge...the founder of our feast."  His wife gives a scornful laugh, knowing how hard it is to live the rest of the year on the small salary the wealthy Scrooge pays her husband.  Bob's wife: "How can one drink the health of such an odious, stingy, hard, unfeeling man as Mr. Scrooge - - as you know he is, Robert?  Nobody knows it better than you."  Bob feels the occasion calls for gratitude and charity, even if it is little deserved: "My dear...Christmas Day!"  His wife, subdued: "I'll drink his health for your sake and for the day, not for his."  Bob, smiling, leads his family in a toast.

The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come has brought Scrooge to his own deathbed.  Scrooge's body lies underneath a shroud and the ghost indicates that Scrooge should lift the shroud and observe who lies there.  Scrooge, however, is too terrified to do so, not wanting to admit that the man who died this lonely, empty death was himself.  (The spirit had already shown Scrooge a number of people who were pleased by the man's demise, and Scrooge is desperate to know that someone will mourn him.)  Scrooge, pleadingly: "Spirit, if there is any person who feels emotion caused by this man's death, show that person to me, I beg you."  The spirit reveals the inside of a house where a young couple is discussing their finances.  Having believed themselves ruined, they are now overjoyed to discover their creditor (Scrooge) has died.  The wife asks her husband who will own their debts now.  Husband: "I don't know, but by then we'll have the money.  And even if we don't, it's unlikely that any new creditor will ever be so merciless."

The grieving Cratchit family is waiting for Bob, their husband and father, to arrive home.  Bob has walked home more slowly the last few evenings, since his beloved son, Tiny Tim, died.  Bob's wife cries as she and her children talk about how much Bob loved the crippled boy.  Finally, Bob arrives home after having picked out a gravesite for his son.  Bob: "I wish you could have gone.  Would have done you good to see how green a place it is.  And I promised him I would walk there every Sunday."  Bob breaks down in sobs.  Sniffles are heard all over the room from Bob's other children.  His children try to comfort him and Bob pulls himself together for their sake.  He walks upstairs, blind to Scrooge watching all this take place.  (Scrooge is being allowed this glimpse of the future by the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.)  Bob stops on the stairs to gather his emotions, unaware that he has stopped directly in front of Scrooge.  Bob looks up, seemingly into Scrooge's eyes.  Scrooge sees his employee's red-rimmed eyes and the look of abject misery on his face and he gasps in pain for the man.  Bob resumes climbing the stairs and enters Tiny Tim's bedroom.  He kneels at the bed, where the shadow of the boy's body can be seen on the wall, and begins to weep.

The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come has brought Scrooge to a graveyard where his own tombstone lies.  Scrooge asks the spirit if it's too late to redeem himself: "Men's courses in life foreshadow certain ends.  But if these courses are departed from, these ends will change.  Isn't that so?"  Scrooge cries in terror and regret: "I'm not the man I was!  Why show me this if I'm past all hope?  Spirit, assure me that I may change these shadows that you've shown me.  Change them by an altered life!"  Scrooge begins to sink into the grave.  He cries out for help from the spirit as he hangs over his own coffin.  Scrooge looks up into the face of the spirit, begging: "Spirit, I will honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year.  I will not shut out the lessons of the past, nor present, nor future."  Scrooge begs for a second chance at life.  The spirit gives him a small push and Scrooge falls down into his own coffin.  He wakes up, realizing that he is alive and in his own bedroom.  He has been given his second chance.

Scrooge has been given a new chance at life.  Overjoyed, he stands in the middle of the snowy street on Christmas Day.  He grabs the back of a passing carriage and lets the carriage pull him down the street (almost like he's water skiing).  Sliding quickly along, he laughs like a young boy, making jokes at the passersby along the way.  Children laugh along with him and Scrooge enjoys himself like he hasn't in decades.  Scrooge yells out to any who will listen: "Live it up, folks!  You'll be a long time dead.  Don't let the worms have all the fun!"
