ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Poirot's battalion has just received orders for a suicide mission (see clip #CV11140).  They are to attack the Germans from an unprotected position, opening themselves up to be picked off, one-by-one.  The captain tells the men they are to wait three hours for the wind to turn, then fire all the gas canisters they have at the Germans in order to conceal their approach.  Poirot, who has been studying the sky for several minutes, offers an alternative.  He tells his captain to attack now, without waiting.  Poirot: "Within the next seven minutes.  Perhaps eight."  He tells the men that he has been observing the birds for weeks.  Every morning, just before the wind turns, they take flight.  The birds are now in the air, much earlier than normal.  Poirot asserts this means the wind is changing early: "The wind conditions are ideal now to hide our advance."  The men are reluctant to follow Poirot's advice.  If he is wrong, they will just succeed in gassing their own men and exposing themselves to the Germans.  Poirot, confidently: "I am not wrong."  The captain stares at Poirot, deciding whether or not to place all of their lives in his hands.  Soon, gas is spreading out across no-man's land, hiding the advance of the Belgians, and the Germans are complacently laughing in their own trench.  Almost before they can realize the danger, the Germans are beaten by the Belgian troops.  The captain turns to thank Poirot for their success: "You are too sharp to be a farmer, Poirot!"

It is World War II, on the front lines of the war in Belgium.  Dozens of Belgian soldiers stand despondently in the trenches, wondering if today will be their last.  A messenger arrives with orders from headquarters.  The captain slowly reads the orders, holding the paper with a trembling hand.  Pairs of desperate, all-too-young eyes are on him as he learns what is to be their fate.  The captain swallows, telling them they are to attack the bridge currently being held by the Germans.  The men know at once this means death, and likely a futile one.  The Germans hold the bridge from a place of serious advantage.  The Belgians would have to approach through no-man's land, where they would be spotted immediately and easily targeted.  Captain: "We can expect heavy casualties."  Soldier: "No one will reach that bridge alive."  Although the captain knows this to be true, they must follow orders and try to take their homeland back from the invaders: "Find your nerve, men.  We risk our lives, but we can take back our home!  For centuries, poets have dreamt of dying for love.  I suppose we shall be the lucky ones."  (Note: subtitled, spoken in French)

Linnet has offered to hire Poirot to get the jealous Jacqueline off her back, but Poirot has refused.  Even so, he hopes to convince Jacqueline herself to make the decision to leave Linnet alone.  Poirot: "You have known Madame Doyle for some time?"  Jacqueline tells the story of their meeting during a school play.  Jacqueline was cast as the lead, until Linnet showed up.  A week before opening, the lead was given to Linnet and Jacqueline was relegated to the part of a chamber maid.  Jacqueline doesn't even try to hide her bitterness towards the woman she once considered a friend.  When Linnet stole Jacqueline's fiancée and married him, she became Jacqueline's enemy.  Since then, Jacqueline has followed the newlyweds around the world, simply to torment them.  Poirot, wanting to deter Jacqueline from her vengeful plot: "You must give this up.  What is done is done.  Bitterness will not undo it.  He is married.  He is in love with his wife."  But Jacqueline refuses to listen: "I love him.  It's not something I can switch off.  There's a reason the heart is the organ given to love, you know.  If it stops to rest, we die.  And I won't die alone.  You can be sure of that."  Jacqueline pulls a pistol our of her purse: "Maybe to fix a broken heart, all it takes is a single bullet."


Poirot has just revealed that he had been hired by Euphemia to investigate her son's fiancée.  The doting mother was sure that he would find something unsavory in Rosalie's background, but Poirot has found nothing.  Actually, he has learned the opposite: "She is more than fit.  She is a find."  Bouc is furious at what his mother has done: "I love her.  That has to count for something."  But Euphemia still does not trust Rosalie.  In fact, she does not trust love itself: "Corinthians had it wrong on every point.  Love isn't patient or kind.  It envies and boasts and doesn't care who gets mowed down.  It angers, it is irritable, it keeps record of every transgression against it, and, good God, it fails!  Sure as a face ages, love fails!"


As Jacqueline and Poirot look out at the ancient Egyptian ruins, Jacqueline asks: "Did you know that the wives of dead pharaohs were buried alive with them?"  She imagines that, though most would be horrified, there might have been a few who loved their mates so much they were willing to die with them.  She smiles, acknowledging her love for Simon is a love like that.  Poirot looks away, grieved that Jacqueline has been unable to let go of the man who left her to marry another.  Instead of moving on, Jacqueline has chosen to follow her love and his new bride around the world, just to torment them and to keep herself in his thoughts.  Poirot warns her: "Mademoiselle, you have a choice still.  You can ruin this life or begin a new one.  It may not be the life that you imagined, but perhaps it will be the life that God intended."  Jacqueline, bitterly: "Love is far too important to trust to God."  Jacqueline is unwilling to even try to make a life without Simon: "I will die if we are parted!"  Poirot gently tells her that he had a love like that once: "I thought that if I lost her I should die.  I lost her."  When Poirot's love was killed by a mortar shell during the war, his life was changed forever and her loss made him the man (and great detective) he is today.  Poirot, tears in his eyes: "I was going to be a farmer."

Katherine walks among the rows and rows of hospital beds filled with wounded soldiers.  She sits down beside Hercule, who is faced away from her.  Hercule, bitterly, reminds her that he asked her not to come and releases her from her obligation to marry him.  Hercule, still faced away from her: "Katherine, you should go."  Katherine, passionately: "Do you have any idea how love works?  When you love someone, you love them through all their moods and changes over time.  Their worst qualities peak at nuisance.  Their flaws become freckles.  And, as it happens, I love you."  Finally, Hercule turns toward her, revealing the terrible wounds covering the right side of his face: "What about this?"  He stares at her, his pain naked and raw, as he waits to see her reaction to his deformity.  Katherine continues to look at him with love, steeling herself not to react in horror, if she feels any, at the extent of his injury.  Instead, she takes his hands and kisses them.  A tear rolls silently down Hercule's cheek.  Katherine, bravely: "Simple.  You'll grow a moustache."  (Caution: although in black-and-white, wound may disturb some viewers)
