ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Movie Ideas, Movie Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show thousands of movie titles and TV shows from a number of producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 4,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including all the titles that  part of the ScreenVue Vault.

All such service providers are contractually required to keep your data safe, use it only for the purposes agreed, and delete it when it is no longer required. They have agreed not share it, nor use it for their marketing purposes.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Movie Ideas, Movie Views, and Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of content: 
- *Movie Ideas*: Has the "light-bulb icon," where you would use your own movie (Digital, Stream, Blu-ray, or DVD you already have access to) with our cues and details; as this idea is not available as a View or Download.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including movie content? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming movie content - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream movie content inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include movie content, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

__"Can content in the ScreenVue Vault be used with a Church Video Licence anywhere in the world?"__

After Greg and Rowley overhear people whispering that a kid was once decapitated on the carnival ride they’re about to board, they nervously climb on anyway. Once they’re suspended high in the air, the fear gets to them and they start confessing their long‑buried secrets to each other.

Greg is excited to begin his first day of summer vacation.  Closing the curtains to block out the light, he gets a bag of chips, a six-pack of pop, and a clock, and sits down on the floor for an all-day video game marathon.  Life goes on around him as his mother cleans, brings in groceries, takes away his empty pop cans, sets lunch down in front of him, and removes his dirty dishes.  For hours, only his thumbs move as he concentrates on beating the next level.  Finally, his mother tries to get his attention: "Greg.  Greg!"  She moves to stand in front of him: "Are you really going to sit inside all day and play video games?"  Greg's only answer is to lean over to see the screen around her.  She moves over to the curtains, pulling them open and letting the sunlight in.  Greg squints and hisses like a vampire when the sun hits his face.  When his eyes become accustomed to the light, he resumes playing.  The hands on his clock go around and around until, finally, the alarm rings, signaling his father's imminent return from work.  Greg quickly jumps up, turns off the TV, and runs through the sprinklers in order to appear wet.  He grabs a football and meets his father just as he's entering the kitchen, giving him the impression he's been playing sports all day.

Frank comes home after a long day at work and greets his two older sons.  When he inadvertently discovers that Greg has spent the entire day playing video games and Rodrick has spent the day on the couch, he snaps.  Rushing to the television set, he struggles to find the right wires to turn off the system.  When Rodrick snickers at his trouble, he wrenches all of the wires out of the back of the TV, holding them up in his fist with satisfaction.  Barking at his sons, he outlaws TV and video games for the rest of the summer before stomping out of the living room.  His wife stops him before he can retreat to the basement to his Civil War models.  Susan doesn't want Frank to seek escape from his sons in the basement.  Susan: "You need to get to Greg's level and really engage with him.  Find an activity you both enjoy."  The boys listen from the other room as Frank despairs of ever finding any common interests with his son.  Susan: "What Greg needs is a role model...someone he can look up to.  Sit down and talk with him."  Frank: "I do talk with him, but he doesn't listen to me.  Trust me, hanging out with him is no fun for either of us."  Greg and Roderick nod their agreement from the other room.  Susan: "You always complain that your father never spent enough time with you when you were young.  Now you're doing the same thing.  Be the father you wish your father had been."  Frank: "You're right.  I should put in more time."  Back in the living room, Greg and Roderick look at each other in dread.

Frank, determined to spend more quality time with his son, has brought him out fishing.  Frank: "You know, it takes a while to get out here, and it's an effort to get the boat out, but this is what it's all about.  You and me, spending some quality time together."  He asks Greg to hand him the bait.  Greg picks up the plastic container labeled, "Bait," and opens it, revealing a squirming pile of worms.  Startled, Greg yells, inadvertently throwing the container of worms into the water.  The worms sink to the bottom of the lake.  Frank, sighing: "Well.  We should think about getting back."  Later, Greg's mom is initiating her own attempt at quality time.  A colorful banner hangs over their dining room table:  "Reading is Fun."  Greg and two of his best friends are seated at the table when Greg's mom walks into the room: "I am so glad you all decided to become founding members of the Reading Is Fun Club."  She asks the boys to show her their chosen books.  When they lay down a book of Sudoku, one of video game cheats, and a book on playground activities, she tells them their choices weren't what she had in mind.  When she leaves the room to find some real literature, Chirag gives Greg a hard time: "Thank you so much, Gregory, for making the summer a time to study and write book reports."  Greg: "You think I wanna do this?  My summer's turned into a nightmare."  Greg's mom returns, giddily brandishing a copy of Little Women.  Mom: "Let's get this party started!"  Greg puts his head in his hands.

Rodrick is sitting by the pool when he notices Heather starting her shift as pool lifeguard.  Determined to get the girl to notice him, he decides to pretend he's drowning in order to get her to rescue him.  His plan, however, didn't take into account Heather's complete lack of interest in others.  Greg, Rodrick's brother, has a more realistic grasp of Heather's character: "I guess he saw Heather's lifeguard outfit and figured she'd be into, like, saving people and stuff."  Heather sits in her lifeguard chair, playing with her phone, completely ignoring the pool and its occupants.  A little girl approaches her and asks what time the snack bar closes.  Heather, rudely: "What am I, a guide book?  Come back when you're drowning."  Just then, Rodrick begins yelling for help from the pool, pretending he has a debilitating cramp.  The little girl scolds Heather: "There's no need to be mean."  Heather: "Listen, shrimp.  The only reason I'm sitting here in this ridiculous outfit is to get credit for my college application."  Meanwhile, Rodrick is bobbing in and out of the water, pretending to be struggling for his life.  A large, tough-looking man sitting by the side of the pool hears Rodrick's screams and jumps into the pool to help.  (Heather still hasn't noticed anything amiss.)  The burly man pulls Rodrick out of the pool and, much to Rodrick's disgust, begins performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on him.  Heather is still playing on her phone.

Greg is visiting with Rowley's family when Rowley's mother suggests they all play a game of "I Love You Because." Rowley's mother takes the first turn and flicks the spinner.  The spinner points toward Rowley.  His mother smiles widely at her son: "I love you because you're silly and you make me laugh."  Rowley grins with pleasure, excited to take his turn in the game of encouragement.  He flicks the spinner and it points toward his mother.  Rowley thinks for a second: "I love you because...you help me keep my body clean!"  Rowley's mother smiles.  Rowley taps Greg on the shoulder enthusiastically: "Your turn, Greg."  Greg looks uncomfortable with the whole concept of the game, especially since he has problems relating to Rowley's father.  Greg flicks the spinner and it points straight at Rowley's dad.  Rowley's father stares expectantly at Greg.  Greg stammers nervously: "Uh, I love you because...your moustache is really...uh...because you're...because...because..."  As Greg hesitates, Rowley's father begins to look hurt.  With all eyes on him, Greg feels pressured to find a quality he enjoys in Rowley's father.  Unable to come up with something encouraging, he just stares blankly around the table.

When Greg's father offers to give him a ride to his fake job, it throws a wrench in Greg's plans.  Now Greg must pretend to go to work at the country club he's been sneaking into for weeks.  In doing so, he risks his lies being exposed to his father, but also to the many club employees he's given fake identities to.  Greg, thinking to himself: "The thing is, I'm using so many other identities that even I'm having trouble keeping track of 'em."  Greg enters the club after his father drops him off, only to be spotted by an employee.  The employee is trying to explain to Mr. Jefferson why his bill is so high for the month.  He points to Greg, who had ordered several hundred dollars worth of smoothies while claiming to be Mr. Jefferson's son.  Greg tries to sneak away, but several other employees spot him, each identifying him by a different name.  Finally, Greg's father enters the building to give him something he left in the car.  He arrives just in time to learn about Greg's lies from Mr. Jefferson.  Frank stares at his son: "Do you not work here?"  Greg, ashamed, shakes his head: "Maybe not."  Later, in the car, Frank is silent.  Greg: "Aren't you gonna yell at me or something?  Aren't you mad?"  Frank, softly: "No.  I'm just...disappointed."  Greg hangs his head.

Rodrick enters Greg's room with bad news for the boy.  (Greg is currently in the dog house with his father for lying:  see Scene # CV06125.)  Rodrick is holding a promotional video from Spag Union, a strict boys' reform school.  Greg's father has sent away for information from the school to determine whether or not to send Greg there.  The two brothers sit at the computer to watch the video.  On the screen, a row of stiff-looking boys in blue blazers are lined up in front of two sour-faced teachers.  A narrator shares: "Here, we will impress upon him (your son) our three cornerstones to success:  intensive study, physical exercise, and, of course, discipline."  A grim-faced teacher smacks a sad-looking little boy on the back of the head.  The boy pastes on an artificial smile for the camera.  Several current students of Spag Union next give their testimonials.  One clean-cut youth shares how he used to play video games all day, until Spag Union taught him that reading was a better pastime (he holds up a calculus book with a bright smile).  Another boy shares how he used to lie to his parents, until Spag Union, and his tracking anklet, taught him to tell the truth.  In the background, a teacher is smacking a young boy with a switch.  Narrator: "Spag Union...turning irresponsible little boys into men since 1925."  A group of grim-faced teachers and students raise one arm into the air, Nazi-fashion, and yell, "Spag Union!"

Frank and Greg are sitting in bed, sharing a pizza.  Frank tells Greg that he's reconsidered his decision to send him to reform school.  Frank: "You know what my grandpa always used to say?  A man who never made a mistake never made anything.  The trick is, to be responsible and to learn from your mistakes.  And you can do that.  You're a really great kid, Greg."  Greg and his father smile at each other.

Greg and Rowley tell a cute girl they totally know how to play tennis, just to hang out with her. But when she calls their bluff and invites them into a real match with her friend, they get absolutely pummeled.
