ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

In New York City, Dr. Stephen Strange, a wealthy and acclaimed, yet arrogant neurosurgeon, is told the truth by fellow surgeon Christine Palmer after Strange invites her to another speaking engagement where he's featured. Christine: "Another speaking engagement? So romantic."  Strange: "You used to love coming to those things with me...we had fun together."  Christine: "No, you had fun. They weren't about us, they were about you."  Strange: "Not only about me."  Christine: "Stephen, everything is about you."

After Kaecilius and his zealots attack the New York Sanctum, killing its guardian, Strange does his best to hold them off with his new found powers...

Kaecilius and his evil Zealots are racing down a street in New York, intent on destroying the world.  They are followed by the Ancient One, who creates an invisible barrier to protect the physical world from the battle that is about to ensue.  In this spiritual realm, the city streets are the same, and yet different.  The Zealots can see the cars passing on the streets and the people walking by the buildings, but they cannot interact with them.  The buildings themselves become fluid...collapsing and reassembling at the will of the Zealots and the Ancient One.  Defying gravity, the Zealots battle the Ancient One on the side of a building that is continually changing shape.  They fashion weapons out of the air and fight on the shifting platform of the city buildings.  In the background, people continue walking by, oblivious to the cosmic battle that rages among them.  Finally, Kaecilius creates a hole and escapes into another realm.  The Ancient One opens a hole and reenters the physical realm of the city.  She walks down the street in bodily form, her unusual garb earning stares as she passes by the citizens.

Dr. Strange is operating on the victim of a gunshot wound.  The bullet is lodged in the man's brain and he is quickly dying.  When Dr. Palmer orders image guidance in order to help Dr. Strange see where to place his instruments inside the brain, he countermands the order: "We don't have time for that."  Instead, he determines to take out the bullet by hand alone.  The room is tense as Dr. Strange attempts something the other doctors say is impossibly risky.  Wearing his special surgeon's goggles, Dr. Strange gently inserts his probe into the patient's brain.  (A black-and-white x-ray image shows on a screen.)  Suddenly, Dr. Strange's eyes flicker: "Dr. West, cover your watch."  The ticking sound of the watch was enough to interrupt Strange's intense focus, and the doctor quickly complies, placing a hand over his wrist.  The sound stops and Strange continues.  With everyone in the room holding their breath, Strange pushes the probe in deeper and extracts the bullet.  The patient has been saved.

Dr. Strange pulls his sports car out of the garage and speeds out of the city.  Jetting past all the other drivers on the freeway, Strange is certainly exceeding the speed limit.  As he reaches a windy mountain road, he takes the curves widely, treating the lane markers as optional.  Darkness has now descended and Strange continues his breakneck pace, passing any car that slows him down.  The phone rings and he takes a call from his office manager.  Discussing possible patients, Dr. Strange comes upon another slower-moving vehicle.  He begins to pass it, using the oncoming lane, and pauses to look down at a picture his office manager has just texted him.  It begins to rain.  As he is looking down, the front end of his vehicle hits the car he's passing, sending him into a tailspin.  His car strikes a tree, shoots across the road and through the barrier, falls down the cliff, and lands in the water below.

Christine arrives at the apartment just as Stephen has learned yet another doctor cannot help his crippled hands.  Stephen frantically begins planning his next move, talking about experimental procedures and hundreds of thousands of dollars in loans.  Christine, knowing Stephen's few remaining options are impossible and expensive: "Maybe it's time to consider stopping."  Stephen, holding up his trembling hands and crying out in anger: "No, now is exactly the time not to stop because, you see, I'm not getting any better!"  (Stephen, a neurosurgeon, needs steady hands to continue in his career.)  Christine, grieving for him, but wanting him to see reality: "But this isn't medicine anymore!  This is mania!  Some things just can't be fixed."  Stephen, despairingly: "Life without my work - -"  Christine interrupts: "Is still life!  This isn't the end.  There are other things that can give your life meaning."  Stephen, too sunk in his misery to listen, demands that she leave.

Dr. Strange is furious to learn that the physical healing he is seeking from the Ancient One is really a spiritual healing: "I spent my last dollar getting here...and you're talking to me about healing through belief!"  Ancient One (a bald female in a white robe): "You're a man looking at the world through a keyhole.  You've spent your whole life trying to widen that keyhole...to see more, to know more.  Now, on hearing that it can be widened, in ways you can't imagine, you reject the possibility?"  Strange, vehemently: "No, I reject it because I do not believe in fairy tales about chakras or energy or the power of belief.  There is no such thing as spirit!  We are made of matter and nothing more!  You're just another tiny, momentary speck within an indifferent universe."  Ancient One, smiling: "You think too little of yourself."  Strange lashes out in anger, poking an accusing finger at her chest.  She takes the finger and pushes Strange backward, thrusting his soul out of his body.  Strange's spirit looks down at his physical body in confusion and disbelief.  He holds up his spectral hands and stares at them in shock.  Suddenly, the Ancient One pulls him back into his body.  Strange, discombobulated: "What did you just do to me?"  Ancient One: "I pushed your astral form out of your physical form."  Strange: "Why are you doing this to me?"  Ancient One: "To show you just how much you don't know."

Dr. Strange and the other students are practicing the mystic arts.  Mordo walks among them, instructing and guiding their endeavors.  Only Dr. Strange seems unable to do what is being asked of him.  While the other students seemingly effortlessly conjure magical apparitions, Strange merely sends out a few feeble sparks.  As the lesson wears on, Strange is becoming more and more visibly agitated.  Finally, the Ancient One takes him aside.  Strange, shrugging his shoulders helplessly, blames his lack of progress on his crippled hands.  Ancient One: "It's not about your hands."  Strange, sarcastically: "How is this not about my hands?"  The Ancient One calls Master Hamir to come to Strange.  The old man, his arms encased in wide sleeves, pulls one sleeve back to reveal a stump where a hand should have been.  Hamir effortlessly conjures an apparition.  Ancient One, to Strange: "You cannot beat a river into submission.  You have to surrender to its current and use its power as your own."  Strange: "I control it by surrendering control?  That doesn't make any sense!"  Ancient One: "Not everything does.  Not everything has to.  Your intellect has taken you far in life, but it will take you no further.  Surrender, Stephen."

Dr. Strange has just captured Kaecilius and has imprisoned him in body shackles.  Kaecilius tells Strange that his efforts to stop the evil Dormammu from taking over the world are futile.  He continues: "You understand the laws of nature.  All things age.  All things die.  In the end, our sun burns out.  Our universe grows cold and perishes."  Kaecilius tells Strange that their world can be saved by becoming assimilated into Dormammu: "We can all live forever."  Strange, sarcastically: "Really?  What do you have to gain out of this New Age dimensional Utopia?"  Kaecilius: "The same as you.  The same as everyone.  Eternal life.  People think in terms of good and evil, but really time is the true enemy of us all.  Time kills everything."  Strange, angrily: "What about the people you killed?"  Kaecilius, without remorse: "Tiny.  Momentary specks within an indifferent universe."  Strange is startled by the callousness of the answer, as well as by the recognition of its similarity to his own former views of the value of humanity.  Kaecilius, misinterpreting Strange's expression, continues: "The world is not what it ought to be.  Humanity longs for the eternal...for a world beyond time, because time is what enslaves us.  Time is an insult.  Death is an insult."

Knowing she is about to die, the Ancient One tells Dr. Strange that she has foreseen this very moment for many years.  When he wonders if she has ever seen his future, the Ancient replies in the negative: "I never saw your future.  Only its possibilities.  You have such a capacity for goodness.  You always excelled, but not because you craved success, but because of your fear of failure."  Dr. Strange: "That's what made me a great doctor."  Ancient: "It's precisely what kept you from greatness.  Arrogance and fear still keep you from learning the simplest and most significant lesson of all."  Strange, looking at her curiously: "Which is?"  Ancient, as if telling him the most important truth of his life: "It's not about you."  Strange seems stunned by her words and she continues before he can speak, telling him what he has always wanted to know...the secret to healing his crippled hands.  She tells how another injured man received the same gift, but chose to spend it on himself: "He had a choice...to return to his own life or to serve something greater than himself."  Strange: "So I could have my hands back again?  My old life?"  Ancient: "You could.  And the world would be all the lesser for it."

Dr. Strange, wearing a time loop around his wrist, has entered the Dark Dimension in order to defeat Dormammu.  (Dormammu has already killed him several times, only to have him use the loop to reappear.)  Addressing the evil entity, Strange threatens to keep him forever in a time loop unless he agrees to a deal.  Dormammu, referring to the repeated deaths: "You cannot do this forever!"  Strange: "Actually, I can.  This is how things are now.  You and me, trapped in this moment, endlessly."  Dormammu: "Then you will spend eternity dying!"  Strange: "Yes.  But everyone on Earth will live."  Dormammu: "But you will suffer."  Strange: "Pain's an old friend."  Furious, Dormammu lets out a fiery blast from his mouth and incinerates Strange, who instantly reappears.  Again and again, Dormammu kills Strange, sometimes incinerating him, sometimes impaling him, sometimes sending a fireball to crush him.  Each time, Strange comes back, willing to die all over again to save those on Earth.  Dormammu, seeing Strange struggle to get up after the last onslaught: "You will never win."  Strange, getting gingerly to his feet: "No, but I can lose...again and again and again and again, forever.  And that makes you my prisoner."
