ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Bryce, Julie and their classmates are waiting at their neighborhood school bus stop.  Bryce and Julie, neighbors, have a disagreement over the appearance of a tree, and Julie ends up calling Bryce "visually challenged."  Bryce, thinking to himself: "Visually challenged?  This from the girl who lived in the house that was the joke of the neighborhood?  They had bushes growing over windows and weeds all over the place.  It bugged my dad big time."  Bryce recalls looking across the street at Julie's house with his family.  Julie's dad, Richard, is sitting out in their front yard, painting a picture.  Bryce's dad, sarcastically: "Well, there he is...the brick layer who thinks he's a painter.  That truck's not ugly enough in real life...he's going to make a painting of it?"  Bryce's sister tells her father that Richard paints really good landscapes.  Bryce's dad: "Landscapes?  Well, let me tell you something.  The world would have a lot more beauty in it if he'd do a little landscaping on that piece of crap he calls a yard."  Bryce's mom adds to her husband's judgment: "I feel bad for his wife.  She married a dreamer.  Because of that, one of the two of them will always be unhappy."  Bryce's dad, bitterly, still looking out at their yard: "Fine.  But why do we have to be unhappy?"

Julie is watching her father paint a picture in their front yard.  Richard asks his adolescent daughter what is going on between her and the boy across the street.  He has noticed that she talks about him a lot.  Julie, dreamily: "I guess it's something about his eyes.  Or maybe his smile."   Richard: "But what about him?"  Julie, confused: "What?"  Richard: "You have to look at the whole landscape.  A painting is more than the sum of its parts.  A cow by itself is just a cow.  A meadow by itself is just grass, flowers.  And the sun peeking through the trees is just a beam of light.  But you put them all together, and it can be magic."

Bryce is in his bedroom, reading.  His grandfather knocks on his door and walks into the room.  Grandpa: "Julie told me about the eggs."  (Bryce had lied to their neighbor, Julie.  She had been giving him eggs their family didn't want, and instead of telling her they didn't need them, he'd been throwing them away.  She caught him doing it and was hurt.)  Bryce looks ashamed.  Grandpa: "You know, Bryce, one's character is set at an early age.  I'd hate to see you swim out so far you can't swim back."  Bryce, confused: "Sir?"  Grandpa: "It's about honesty, son.  Sometimes a little discomfort in the beginning can save a whole lot of pain down the road."

Bryce and his family are watching Bonanza together.  Bryce's dad, Steven, resents the time his father-in-law is spending at the house next door and confronts him about it.  (Steven doesn't like the neighbors because their yard is unkempt.)  Chet has had enough of his son-in-law's prejudice: "You know why the Bakers haven't fixed up their yard 'til now?"  Steven, sarcastically: "Yeah.  Because he's too busy with his paint-by-numbers kit (the neighbor paints landscapes)."  Chet: "If you had a brother with a severe handicap, what would you do?"  Steven: "What the h--l does that have to do with anything?"  Chet: "Julie's father has a retarded brother."  Steven: "So what?  He's not the gardener, is he?"  Steven laughs, but his wife scolds him for it.  Steven: "You know, other people have family troubles and they manage to mow their own lawns.  I don't know where the pride in ownership is."  Chet: "They don't own that house.  The landlord's supposed to maintain it.  Mr. Baker puts every extra penny he has into caring for his brother."  Steven, coldly: "It's not our fault that their family has some chromosomal abnormalities."  Chet, angrily: "It has nothing to do with chromosomes!"  Chet tells his son-in-law that Julie's uncle had the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck at birth.  Chet: "If he had enough oxygen, he would have been a perfect little baby...just like your son."  Bryce's mom runs out of the room, crying, and Steven follows after her.  Chet apologizes to Bryce for upsetting his mother.  He tells Bryce that, except for the grace of God, Bryce would have ended up like Julie's uncle.  He too had been born with the cord around his neck, but had been blessed with a good doctor.  Chet: "It easily could have gone the other way."  (Caution: "g-----n" used once as profanity, "h--l" used once as profanity)

Julie and her family are having dinner together.  Julie asks her parents if it would be okay if she fixed up their yard.  Richard, her father, tells her it is a bigger job than she thinks.  Julie, knowing her parents are poor, offers to pay for it with her own money.  Richard won't hear of it.  He tells her it's the landlord's job to take care of it.  Julie, eyes downcast: "But he doesn't.  And we live here.  And it looks so bad."  Her parents, sensing Julie is distressed, ask her to tell them what's bothering her.  Julie: "The Loski's have been throwing away my eggs because they're afraid of salmonella...because our yard is such a mess."  (Julie had been giving chicken eggs regularly to their neighbors.)  Julie's mother is humiliated, thinking of the bad opinion their neighbors have of them.  Trina: "I'm tired of living like this, Richard.  I'm tired of having to take temp jobs just to make ends meet.  I'm tired of having to push a chair against the washing machine just to keep the door shut.  I'm tired of having to borrow Mrs. Stuve's vacuum cleaner every time ours breaks down!"

Julie's friend joins her in the library to tell her that Bryce, her long-time crush, likes her.  Julie doesn't believe it, but her friend drags her over to the bookcases to eavesdrop on Bryce's conversation with his friend Garrett.  Garrett: "Are you freaking mental?  Julie Baker?  You hate her."  Bryce: "That's what's so weird...I don't think I do.  I can't stop thinking about her."  Garrett: "You got it bad, man."  Julie and her friend smile excitedly at one another.  Bryce: "What do I do?"  Garrett: "You gotta nip this in the bud."  Garrett starts insulting Julie, saying that her house is a dump.  Bryce starts out defending her: "It's not her fault.  Her dad's got a retarded brother and all their money goes to helping him."  Garrett: "A retard?  Well, that ought to tell you something."  Bryce: "About what?"  Garrett: "About Julie.  The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, my friend."  Bryce laughs.  Julie is crushed.

Julie and her family are having dinner at Bryce's house.  (Julie has told Bryce she's not speaking to him because she overheard him and his friend making fun of her handicapped uncle.)  Bryce takes Julie aside and tells her that he knows what his friend said was wrong.  Julie, her arms crossed: "Well, did you know it was wrong when he said it?"  Bryce: "Yeah.  I wanted to punch him, but we were in the library."  Julie: "So...instead, you just agreed with him and you laughed?"  Bryce, looking embarrassed: "Yeah."  Julie: "Then that makes you a coward."  She walks away.
