ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Driving alone at night in his small town of Rachel, Kansas, Luther hears a woman scream, "Murder!"  After stopping his car, talking to the frantic woman, and seeing the lifeless body of town drunk Calver Weems lying on the sidewalk with a two-by-four nearby, he quickly has his editor called and races to the police station!  As the paper editor (George), ace town reporter (Ollie) and policemen gather and try and calm Luther down as he continues to rant and rave excitedly, no one is too interested until the nervous little typesetter begins using the word "murder..."        "Calm!  Calm!  Do 'murder' and 'calm' go together?  'Calm' and 'murder'?  Murder!..."     Now having the entire room's attention he begins to explain how he happened upon, "The dead body of Calver Weems!  He'd been bludgeoned to death by a board...!"       Police Chief: "I'd better get somebody out there right away."     But as Luther begins to go into more details, in walks Calver Weems holding the side of his head with a rag: "What's up?"    Luther: "Don't bother us now, Calver.  We got a murder on our ha...  Calver!  Calver, what are you doing here?  You're dead!"        Ollie: "I knew it, I knew it!"    George: "I'm sorry, Chief."    Weems is joined by the lady who hit him with the board, demanding the drunk be thrown in the tank.      Luther, frantically to Weems: "What are you tryin' to do?  Make a fool out of me?"      Ollie: "You don't need much help, scoop."      After Luther argues with Weems for awhile over whether he's dead or not, everyone starts to leave.   Luther, to Ollie and George: "But I got the pictures and everything."      George: "Luther, from now on, let Ollie and me run the paper and write the stories.  You just keep setting the type.  Hmm?"     Ollie: "Nice work, scoop," as everyone in the room laughs at Luther's expense.

After Mr. Kelsey (the newspaper's janitor) manipulates Luther to write an unauthorized but successful article on the old Simmons' mansion (the location of a murder/suicide 20 years earlier), he goes to work on the editor, George, and star reporter, Ollie, causing them to fall into his plot to save the mansion from being demolished.  Dusting in the newsroom, he stands behind Ollie and whispers an idea in his ear: "I think somebody ought to spend the anniversary night in the house," which Ollie excitedly shares with George!   But even though Ollie volunteers, George wants to have someone, "with a wild imagination; a bit of a coward; and a little superstitious..."     Taking the cue, Mr. Kelsey opens the door to the basement where Luther is typesetting and yells down to his friend.      George: "Luther!  Of course!"     The three men go barreling down the stairs and present the idea to Luther, who acts brave, but who's actually terrified of spending the night in the "haunted house" -- which Mr. Kelsey has conveniently spooked him about!

After Luther is talked into spending the night in the old creepy Simmons' mansion on the 20th anniversary of the murder/suicide (to write an article and ultimately sell more papers for his greedy editor), he arrives in the cobwebbed living room and crawls into his sleeping bag fully clothed.  Hearing chains and laughter on the other side of the wall, he unzips his bag and throws a book at the bookcase -- revealing a secret passage!  Nervously climbing the stairs, he finds a loft and organ with blood-stained keys -- which suddenly starts to play itself at the stroke of midnight!  Terrified, he runs back down through the house toward the front door -- only to find a painting of Mrs. Simmons with garden shears protruding from her neck and blood streaming down dress!

At the Chamber of Commerce Picnic honoring Luther Heggs (see previous Scene), the now popular newshound is delighted to be seated next to love interest Alma at a picnic table.  Since Luther is the upcoming keynote speaker, two plates of food are placed in front of them.    Always nervous, but now a little more bold due to his new found popularity, Luther strikes up a unique and thoughtful opening line: "Oh, I just love good food."       Alma: "So do I."      Luther, shocked: "Do ya?"     Alma: "Uh-huh."       Luther: "You know, you and I are a lot alike.  My mother liked good food."     Alma: "Oh."     Luther: "She always used to say, 'I'd rather eat good food than bad food any old day of the week!' "

At the Chamber of Commerce Picnic, a nerdy policeman makes his way through the dinning crowd pointing to individuals...     "You're C of C (Chamber of Commerce), you're okay..."     When he gets to Luther, the event's keynote speaker, he makes an exception: "You're NOT C of C, but you're okay..."   He continues down the tables until running into a homeless looking gentlemen who is happily eating his meal.  The policeman, after curiously bending down to get a closer look at the haggard man's face: "You're not C of C."       Man, turning and looking the policeman square in the eyes: "I'm Rotary!"      Policeman: "Eh, get out of here!" as he grabs the man and quickly ushers him away.    (A great Scene to creatively dub and use for church picnic announcements!)

In perhaps the best scene, Luther Heggs (the new town hero after spending the night in the town's spooky mansion and writing an inspired article; see previous Scenes) is called up before a large crowd at the Chamber of Commerce Picnic to give the keynote speech.  The always nervous man (played brilliantly by Don Knotts) gets off to a rough start when he tries cracking the same joke the mayor just used -- to zero laughs.  To make matters worse, the wind blows his speech notes to the far corners of the earth.  Oh, boy -- Luther's going to have to wing it...       "I am proud to be here today..." as a man catcalls from the crowd, "Atta boy, Luther!"     "Uh, when I was asked to be guest speaker at this luncheon, I asked myself this: 'Who are you, Luther Heggs, to be a guest speaker at this luncheon?'  I thought about my answer about being a guest speaker for a long time.  Wh-What is a guest speaker?  Let me clarify this.  I have been called brave.  What is brave?  Let me clarify this.  Of course, we all know that it is short for brav-er-ry.   That goes without even being said.  But it is also a symbol of another thing.  It is a symbol of doing one's duty, no matter what is scaring him... personally..."       "Atta boy, Luther!" followed by laughter.     "Take your World War II.  There were many heroes in World War II.  What were your heroes?  Who were your heroes?  Let me clarify this.  Thank you for having me," as he abruptly walks off stage to roaring applause!

After having dinner at her home, Luther and Alma stand on the porch outside.  The nerdy Luther is as nervous as ever to be with the town's most beautiful woman...    Luther: "Boy, that was just about the best pounded steak I ever ate."      Alma: "I'm glad you enjoyed it.  Mother really is a wonderful cook."      Luther: "Oh, yeah, she is.  Boy, a guy could get FAT."      After an awkward moment of not knowing what to say, Luther decides to show some male bravado by slicing a few karate-chops through the air.      Alma: "What was that you just did?"     Luther: "Oh, that was just... That's karate."       Alma: "I didn't know you knew karate."      Luther, proudly: "Oh, yeah.  I've been studying it by mail for years. My whole body's a weapon."      Alma: "Well, that's worthwhile."       After sitting on the porch-swing and discussing the next day's events, he suddenly looks longingly at her...   "You know something, Alma?"      Alma: "What?"      But Luther just awkwardly looks away and clears his throat; causing her to stare straight ahead and smile.       Trying again to share his heart, Luther suddenly stands up: "W-Well, the-the thing is this, Alma.  I mean, well, you're a darn attractive girl..."    Alma: "Thank you."      Luther: "Yeah, well, that's okay.  Me, I'm a guy... well, I mean -- what I mean to say is, you take your average guy and your above-average girl.  And, well, the point is... that people, well... What I'm trying to say is," as he sits back down next to her, "that average, average is just -- just is darn lucky to be sitting' on the same porch with above-average.  And what I mean by that is..."      Alma, interrupting: "Luther... are you trying to say that you like me?"      Luther, weakly: "Yeah..."        Alma smiles at this and lightly kisses him on the lips.     "I like you, too, Luther."      Luther's world has just been rocked as he smiles proudly and slowly places his arm around her.

After a day in court with Nicholas Simmons' attempt to sue Luther for libel (to protect his family name from Luther's ghost stories) and where Luther is made out to be a fool, the judge orders the courtroom to the Simmons house at midnight to allow Luther to prove his story (see Scene # CV05724). Luther excitedly leads everyone to a room where a panel previously opened to a secret passageway to the organ loft when he threw a book at it.  Unfortunately, after several nervous attempts, nothing happens.  Discouraged, Luther takes the crowd around to the normal stairway and up to the organ loft.    Luther: "Now folks, it's almost midnight and the ghost of Mr. Simmons will be up in the organ loft in just a matter of minutes."     Up by the organ, midnight strikes and everyone waits for the organ to start playing as Luther promised.   But nothing happens.     Luther, pleading: "Come on... come on, baby... A one-and-a-two..."     Still nothing.     All look at Luther as the judge says, "Luther, I think that's about it," and they exit the loft.     Luther: "But, it played... I'm tellin' ya, it played!"

Luther is in the organ loft alone with Mr. Kelsey (after being the town's laughing stock, see previous Scene) when they hear Alma scream from behind a wall!  Opening a secret stairway, Luther is horrified to see his true-love being held savagely by the film's murderous villain, Nicholas Simmons!  When Simmons threatens to kill the woman if they don't stay back, Kelsey whispers to Luther to run back the other way and sneak up and strike the criminal from behind.  After some nervous running around the house, Luther eventually comes in from behind, and when a karate chop to the neck doesn't phase Simmons, he hurls his entire body -- knocking the villain out and saving the day!
