ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

The village children are playing when the sound of helicopter blades alerts the adults to coming danger.  The men grab their spears while the women rush to herd their children to safety.  When the helicopters begin dropping bombs on the village, Theo finds a hiding place for his brothers and runs to get their father.  Soldiers arrive on horseback and begin burning the grass huts, shooting anyone in sight.  Theo finds his father, but he is already dead.  He returns to his hut, where his sister hides beside the body of their dead mother.  Taking Abital, he runs back to the tree where he hid their siblings.  Mamere looks questioningly at Theo: "Mama?"  Abital shakes her head sadly and Theo has to cover Mamere's mouth while he wails.  The children huddle together, crying.  Another boy who hid with them asks about his own mother.  Theo: "There is no one left but us."  The boy begins to weep.  Abita: "You are chief now, Theo."

Six children are walking across war-torn Sudan in an attempt to reach the safety of Ethiopia.  Mamere recalls how their elders taught them to survive in the wild: "We remembered their teaching...to survive the dangers of nature, but also to take advantage of its offerings."  The children watch from a short distance as two cheetahs begins to eat their fresh kill.  Raising large sticks, the children run out of their hiding place, shouting and pounding on the ground.  Hissing and growling, the cheetahs back slowly away from the dead antelope.  The children continue to chase them, banging on pans and yelling, until, finally, the wild cats run away.  Cheering, they stand in a circle around their prize, proud of their success.  Suddenly, they realize they have only crossed the first hurdle.  Their faces become solemn again.  Theo looks at Abital: "You cook it."  Abital, sullen: "Why me?"  Theo: "Girls prepare the food."  Abital clicks her tongue disapprovingly.

One of their number has now died of thirst and exhaustion, and the remaining children sit around him, mourning and nearly hopeless.  Suddenly, Theo picks up a pot and walks a little way off to urinate.  He brings the pot back and stands before the others: "I want to live.  I do not want to die."  Lifting the pot, he takes a drink and hands it to Mamere.  The boy looks as if he wants to refuse it, but he takes the pot and lifts it to his mouth, saying: "I want to live.  I do not want to die."  He takes a drink, grimacing, and then passes it to Abital.  The girl repeats the words of her brothers: "I want to live.  I do not want to die."  They continue passing the pot around the circle.

After months of hot, dry walking, the children are overjoyed to find a river.  They race to the water, where they drink, splash, and play.  Theo bends down and reaches toward the dirt, picking up a shell casing.  When the rest of the children begin to move along, travelling beside the riverbank, Theo stops his family: "There is danger up the river.  We have to cross."  Abita want to stay with the others: "We are safer in this group, no?"  Mamere adds his own protest: "We cannot cross this river."  Theo insists they can and begins working on a plan to get them across.  Putting the children to work, he constructs a rope, planning to swim to the other side and attach the lifeline there for the others to follow.  As they work on the rope, Mamere suddenly points at the river.  The body of one of the children they had been walking with floats by.  By the time the rope is ready, the river is full of bodies and Theo must swim across among them.  When he makes it across, the others follow, using the rope to guide them.  Abita is just crossing when the sound of gunfire reaches them.  Gabriel, fearing the water, refuses to cross and instead runs into the trees.  Hurrying, the rest of the children make it across the river just before the soldiers arrive and kill Gabriel.

The children are making their way to Kenya when they encounter a small village that has been destroyed by the soldiers.  The abandoned huts are still smoldering and several bodies lie on the ground.  Theo, looking at the destruction: "War is surrounding us."  In the middle of the village, they find what appears to be the only survivor.  A man sits up against a tree.  His legs are covered with wounds and he can no longer walk.  He sits alone, stoically, in the heat and the death.  The children pause in front of him.  Man: "Bring me a stick.  I need it to keep away the hyenas."  Silently, they bring him a stick.  One of them gives the man some of their precious water.  He thanks them, then points toward the other end of the village: "You must go.  Walk that way to Kenya.  There is food there."  Abita reaches into her bag and gives the man a little bit of food.  Man: "Thank you.  God bless you."  The children continue toward Kenya, leaving the man behind.

The children have spent the night sleeping in the tall grass.  Awakening, Mamere stands up, startled to see a soldier only a few yards away.  Gasping in fright, he drops back to the ground.  But it is too late.  The soldier has seen him and begins to yell for his comrades.  Gesturing for Mamere to be quiet, Theo takes off Mamere's robe and puts it on his own shoulders.  Standing up, he pretends he is the one they saw originally: "I am lost from my family."  He walks forward, surrendering himself to the soldiers so they don't find his siblings hiding in the grass.  The soldiers lead him away as the others watch helplessly from their hiding place in the grass.

Mamere is assisting Dr. Monyang in the camp hospital.  The doctor, having diagnosed a patient with a respiratory infection, moves along the row of beds to the next patient, telling Mamere to follow.  Mamere bends down for a quick look at the first patient's abdomen and spots a large wound that the doctor had missed.  He calls the doctor back to the original patient.  Dr. Monyang comes back to the bed and Mamere points out the sore: "I believe she has guinea worm."  The doctor bends to look and sighs, telling the girl they will make her feel better.  When Mamere follows the doctor to the next bed, Dr. Monyang stops to give him a piece of advice: "Someday when you become a doctor and someone comes along as smart as you, don't be afraid to listen to them."

The Sudanese refugees who have been chosen to live in the United States are taking a crash course on what to expect in their new country.  A volunteer passes around large pieces of ice for the students to hold in their hands.  Teacher: "So, this is what winter in America feels like.  This is frozen water.  It's called ice.  As all of you know, there are four seasons in America."  The amazed Africans have never felt anything so cold in their lives.  Jacob, his eyes wide, raises his hand: "Will I have such cold where I am going?"  Teacher: "Where are you going, again?"  Jacob: "Fargo."  Teacher, smiling: "Ooh, yes.  You will have such cold."

Carrie is taking three Sudanese immigrants to their new home in America.  As they drive to their apartment, Mamere is curious about Carrie: "Where is your village?"  Carrie, unsure of how to answer, tells him her street address.  Mamere, looking closely at Carrie: "May I ask you, let me say, where is your darling?"  Carrie, confused: "My darling?"  Mamere: "Your husband."  Carrie: "No, no.  I'm not married."  Mamere: "If you do not have a husband, then it is your children who provide for you, yes?"  Carrie: "No, uh, no.  I don't have any children.  I...I'm not married.  I provide for myself."  Mamere, looking amazed: "Your survival skills are very impressive."  Carrie: "Thanks."

Mamere, Jeremiah, and Paul are in their apartment, waiting by the window for their employment officer to "call" them.  When the telephone rings, all three men look around in confusion, trying to locate the source of the sound.  Walking up to the telephone, Mamere looks at the others: "It must be an alarm."  Paul: "Maybe."  Later, the three are making a drink using a watering can as a pitcher when the phone rings again.  They stare at the phone, not moving.  Suddenly, they hear a knock on the door.  Opening the door, they see their employment officer, holding a cell phone in her hand.  Carrie, surprised: "You are here!  Why didn't you answer the phone?  I've been calling you."  Mamere, thinking she's been calling them vocally: "We waited by the window, but we did not hear your call."  Carrie, shaking her head and pointing at her cell phone: "No.  I called you on this.  This is a telephone.  Do you know what a telephone is?"  Her question is met with silence.

Jeremiah is working at the grocery store, performing his hated task of throwing away expired food.  As he wheels the cart to the dumpster, he sees a homeless woman digging through it.  Jeremiah calls to her: "Hey, you!  Don't go in there."  The woman apologizes, looking sheepish.  She holds an apple in her hand.  Jeremiah, gesturing to his cart: "What I have in here is much fresher."  He helps the woman look through his cart and pick out the best items.  As she is leaving, the store owner approaches, furious: "What the h--l are you doing?"  Jeremiah: "It is a sin not to give to those in need."  Boss: "According to who?"  Jeremiah: "Jeremiah."  Boss: "And who's that?"  Jeremiah, taking off his apron and giving it to the man: "Me.  My name is Jeremiah."  Later, Jeremiah is meeting with the employment officer who got him his job.  Upset, she tells him that his former boss is quite angry that he quit.  Jeremiah, solemnly: "I'm sorry if I bring you dishonor, but I cannot do a job I believe in my heart is wrong."  Carrie: "Let me explain something to you.  In America, we have this thing called bosses.  And, sometimes, they're just a------s.  And they have too much power for their teeny-tiny brains.  And they get really angry when you don't follow their orders.  But you have to put up with it because you need money to live and to eat and to go to school."  Carrie promises to try to find him another job, but she tells him it won't be easy.  Jeremiah smiles confidently: "I have faith, Yardit."  (Caution: h-word, a-word used)

Mamere and Theo are waiting in line at the airport.  Theo believes that the two of them will be travelling together to their new home in the United States.  However, when Mamere hands him his own passport and papers, he realizes that his brother is not going with him.  Mamere: "I could not get you any papers."  Theo, realizing Mamere wants him to take his place: "No, Mamere.  I cannot!"  Mamere: "Yes, but you must."  Theo: "But it is a lie!"  Mamere: "Yes, I know.  But it is a good lie." Mamere reminds his brother that Theo sacrificed his own life to save the lives of his siblings.  Mamere: "I give it back to you."  Theo nods sadly and proceeds alone through the customs line.
