ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Nick is remembering back to the early days of his life in 1920s New York City.  He remembers a city "approaching hysteria" and footage of thousands of city dwellers living a fast-paced, decadent existence is accompanied by booming rap music.  Billboards glowing with garish lights crowd in together as closely packed as the people in the streets.  Nick describes the wealth of the times, attributed to the boom of Wall Street, and a view of the trading room shows a sea of men frantically fighting to grasp their share of the spoils.  Nick: "The parties were bigger, the shows were broader, the buildings were higher.  The morals were looser and the ban on alcohol had backfired, making the liquor cheaper."  Two men work a still, filling bottle after bottle of illegal booze.  Nick: "Wall Street was luring and young and ambitious.  And I was one of them."  A young and excited Nick stands in front of a tall skyscraper, eager to take part in the lush life of the Wall Street executive.

Nick is writing in his journal, remembering back to the day he got drunk at a party in New York.  Nick: "I had been drunk just twice in my life.  And the second time was that afternoon."  At the party, Nick's eyes grow large as Catherine pours straight whiskey down his throat.  Everyone's inhibitions weaken as the liquor flows.  They dance, laugh, and spray champagne around the room.  Someone rips a feather pillow and they begin throwing feathers everywhere.  The sound of glass breaking can be heard, but no one notices.  The men wrestle around the room in a mock fight, and the women begin to dance in their lingerie.  Couples kiss between swigs from their glasses.  Nick's gaze is now glassy and unfocused.  Nick: "That night, in the hidden flat that Tom kept for Myrtle, we were buoyed by a sort of chemical madness...a willingness of the heart that burst thunderously upon us all.  And, suddenly, I began to like New York."  The partiers laugh as Nick pours an entire bottle of champagne down his throat.  Nick, a vacant look in his eyes, watches himself drink to oblivion, as if watching from outside his own body.  (Caution: women dancing in revealing lingerie)

Gatsby has come to take Nick for a drive through the city.  Pulling up to the house in a large, flashy car, Gatsby brags that he had it custom-made.  Nick obediently agrees to go to lunch with his friend, and the two set out on their journey.  Gatsby speeds along the road, zipping narrowly around cars and waving his hat at acquaintances.  Nick appears concerned with the speed of their travels, but Gatsby keeps him distracted with an unending flow of conversation about himself.  Gatsby: "Look here, old sport.  What is your opinion of me, anyhow?"  Not giving Nick a chance to answer, Gatsby launches into a detailed list of his various accomplishments designed to impress Nick.  Gatsby: "I will tell you God's truth.  God's truth about myself."  Gatsby paints himself the orphaned son of a wealthy family, Oxford-educated because of long-tradition.  Nick, thinking to himself: "The way he spoke!  No wonder people thought he was lying."  Gatsby, talking a mile-a-minute, continues to describe his life as a wealthy young socialite, travelling through Europe, collecting jewels, going on safari, and dabbling in art.  Gatsby's voice drones on as Nick thinks to himself: "Just when I thought it couldn't be any more fantastical, he became a war hero, single-handedly defeating the German army."  Gatsby claims to have been awarded medals by every Allied country and pulls out a medal from Montenegro to prove his story.  He also pulls out a photo of himself at Oxford standing next to an Earl.  Nick is wondering if Gatsby's story could possibly be true.  Gatsby promises to introduce him to a powerful businessman who will vouch for everything he has claimed about himself.  Gatsby: "You see, I thought you ought to know something about my life.  I didn't want you to think I was...well...I didn't want you to think I was just some nobody."

Gatsby is driving Nick through the city in his large, flashy car, in his usual haphazard way.  Speeding and passing on the wrong side of the road, Gatsby narrowly misses milling down a pedestrian in front of a watching policeman.  In a flash, the policeman is on his motorbike, blaring his siren at Gatsby and yelling for him to pull over.  Gatsby, unruffled and still speeding along, whips a business card out of pocket, holding it out for the policeman to read.  The officer, seeing the name "J. Gatsby," quickly changes his demeanor from angrily accusing to humbly reverent.  Officer: "I'll know you next time, Mr. Gatsby.  Excuse me!"  The officer drives away and Nick is stunned at the power wielded by Gatsby's name.  Gatsby, explaining: "I was able to do the commissioner a favor once.  He sends me a Christmas card every year."

Gatsby is about to fulfill his five-year dream of reuniting with his long-lost love, Daisy.  Having coaxed his friend (Daisy's cousin) to invite her over for tea, Gatsby has filled Nick's house with flowers in preparation for the arrival of his love.  Anxious, he paces the room, glancing from the clock to his watch.  He finally sits down, breathing heavily.  Two minutes before Daisy is to arrive, Gatsby stands, announcing his intention to leave, claiming Daisy can't be coming.  As he stalks across the room, he hears the sound of Daisy's car horn and he stops, suddenly panicked.  Nick goes to greet his cousin while Gatsby waits with the flowers.  Inviting Daisy into the parlor, Nick waits outside while she enters.  Hearing nothing but Daisy's exclamations over the flowers, Nick enters the room, seeing that Gatsby has disappeared.  At the sound of an insistent knock, Nick returns to the front door, finding Gatsby standing there, dripping wet.  Nick: "What are you doing?"  Gatsby, his gaze locked in the direction of the parlor, doesn't answer.  He walks purposefully toward the room, stopping a moment to catch his breath and smooth his hair before entering.  He turns the corner and stands in the entrance to the parlor.  Daisy turns, seeing him, and her breath catches in her throat.  The two stare at one another, saying nothing.  For a number of tense moments, the only sound in the room is their mutual breathing, until Daisy breaks the ice.  "I'm certainly glad to see you again."

Gatsby's great bash is over and his servants are cleaning up after the party.  Depressed, he tells Nick he knows that Daisy didn't enjoy herself.  Gatsby: "I feel so far away from her now.  It's so hard to make her understand."  Gatsby tells Nick that he can't make Daisy understand why he wants her to tell her husband she never loved him.  He explains that he wants Daisy to leave Tom and return with him to her parents house, as if she had never been married.  Then he plans to marry her from her home, as if she were a young debutant instead of a matron with a daughter.  Gatsby: "See, Daisy and I are gonna start over, just as if it were five years ago."  Nick is startled, and he suggests that Gatsby expects too much from Daisy.  Gatsby, tears in his eyes, doesn't understand why Daisy prefers to just run away with him.  Nick: "Jay...you can't repeat the past."  Gatsby, intensely: "Can't repeat the past?  No.  Why, of course you can!  Of course you can.  See, I'm gonna fix things just the way they were before.  Everything's been so confused since then."  Nick, remembering: "He talked a lot about the past...as if he wanted to recover something."  Gatsby, determined: "If I could just get back to the start...if I could just get back to the start...I could find it again."
