ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Dr. Shirley and Tony are eating dinner in a dive bar in the South.  The bartender approaches Dr. Shirley, who is wearing a tuxedo: "What you do, all dressed up like that?"  Dr. Shirley: "Nothing particularly important.  Shouldn't judge a man by his clothes."  Tony, unable to keep silent: "He's only the greatest piano player in the world!"  Bartender, sort of impressed: "That right?  You good?"  Dr. Shirley doesn't answer.  Tony: "Don't be shy, Doc.  Tell her who you are!"  Bartender, gesturing at the piano on the tiny stage: "Don't tell me nothing.  Show me."  Dr. Shirley, at Tony's urging, goes onstage and sits down.  He begins to play a basic-sounding song.  Just a note at a time at first.  The whole room is now silent, staring at him skeptically.  Their thoughts, written on their faces, plainly have written the man off as a joke.  Then, after a few sedate measures, Dr. Shirley launches full-scale into one of Chopin's more technically difficult etudes.  Everybody's collective jaw drops.  The cook leaves the kitchen to see who is playing.  Even Tony looks like he's got tears in his eyes.  By the time Dr. Shirley is finished, he has earned the respect of everyone in the room.


Tony arrives at Carnegie Hall to pick up his new boss, Dr. Shirley.  Seeing two men waiting outside the building, Tony approaches them.  He introduces himself as Dr. Shirley's new driver and learns that they are Oleg and George, the other two members of the musical trio.  Stuffing his own cigarettes back into his pocket, Tony bums one from a reluctant Oleg.  Then, when the man goes to light his own cigarette, Tony shoves his way forward, lighting his cigarette with the man's flame.  Oleg, forced to move back until Tony is finished, looks somewhat surprised at Tony's arrogance.  Just then, Dr. Shirley arrives with his manservant, Amit.  The two men pile the luggage outside the vehicle while Tony unlocks the trunk.  Then, Amit helps his boss into the car, even going so far as to tuck a blanket over his legs.  Tony watches with his arms folded, looking amused.  When Dr. Shirley is all settled, Amit moves back to stand at the curb.  Seeing the luggage still sitting there, right next to Tony, Amit looks pointedly at the bags and back at Tony, silently ordering him to load the trunk.  Tony, his arms still crossed and the cigarette dangling from his mouth, flicks his own gaze down to the bags and back at Amit.  Silently, the men are warring over which of them, both employed by Dr. Shirley, has to demean himself and lift the bags into the vehicle.  Again, Amit looks down at the bags and back at Tony, this time adding a head jerk in the direction of the car.  Tony again glances at the bags and back at Amit, plainly ready to wait as long as it takes for Amit to swallow his pride.  With a look of disgust, Amit backs down, picks up the bags, and puts them in the trunk.  Tony smiles at him, condescendingly giving him a "thumbs-up."

Dr. Shirley has been invited to play the piano in the home of a wealthy Southern man.  Dozens of wealthy, white guests have assembled in the elegant dining room and Dr. Shirley is seated in the place of honor.  The host stands up to speak: "Earlier this week, we asked our help what Dr. Shirley might like for supper."  (All of the "help" are black, as is Dr. Shirley.)  "So, the boys in the kitchen whipped up a special menu in honor of our guest."  All of the elite guests smile politely as the host announces their meal will be fried chicken and corn on the cob.  Later, Dr. Shirley plays the piano beautifully, to an enthralled audience.  When he and his musicians break for intermission, he walks toward a door marked "Gentlemen" to use the facilities.  Before he can open the door, he is stopped by his host: "Uh, are you looking for the commode?  Here, let me help you.  It's right out there 'fore that pine."  The man gestures not at the bathroom door, but outside, where a small, wooden outhouse stands in the darkness.  Dr. Shirley, dignified: "I'd prefer not to use that."  Host: "Well, don't be silly, Don.  It looks a lot worse from the outside."  Dr. Shirley, dryly: "And I suppose you'd know from experience?"  Host: "Well, I've never had any complaints."  Dr. Shirley: "Well, I could return to my hotel and use the facilities there.  But that would take at least a half an hour."  Host, thinking for a moment before smiling brightly: "We don't mind waiting."


Tony and Dr. Shirley are sitting in a jail cell.  (Tony lost his temper and hit a racist police officer, who promptly tossed both of them in the slammer.)  Dr. Shirley is understandably upset with his driver: "As my mother always said, what kind of brand new fool are you?  Where are you?  In here, with me, who did nothing.  I'm the one who pays the price.  That little temper tantrum...was it worth it?"  Tony looks somewhat chagrined as Dr. Shirley continues: "You never win with violence, Tony.  You only win when you maintain your dignity.  Dignity always prevails.  And, tonight, because of you, we did not."


Tony is walking toward the convenience store when he spots a display of polished rocks for sale.  He stops to look and sees a piece of jade lying on the ground, obviously fallen from the display.  Quickly, he pockets it and heads into the store to do his shopping.  When he returns, he finds that Oleg had witnessed his act and reported it to Dr. Shirley.  When Dr. Shirley confronts him about the theft, Tony denies it, claiming he just picked up a regular rock off the ground.  But when Dr. Shirley demands to see the rock and can tell it is obviously a piece of jade, he orders Tony to go back into the store and pay for it.  Tony angrily refuses, insisting that taking a rock off the ground wasn't stealing.  Dr. Shirley: "Pay for the stone, Tony.  You'll feel better."  Tony, almost yelling: "I feel fine!"  He continues to insist he isn't guilty of a crime and refuses to pay for the stone.  Dr. Shirley the makes Tony return the stone to the display.  Jaw clenched, Tony stomps back to the store and takes the rock back.  He returns to the car, where Dr. Shirley asks: "Feel better?"  Tony: "No!"  Dr. Shirley: "If you'd like, Tony, I'd happily buy you the stone."  Tony: "Don't bother!  You took all the fun out of it." 


Tony, who works the late shift, awakens early to find his house full of his male relatives.  Miffed at having his sleep cut short by a ball game and loud cheering, Tony asks them what they are doing in his house.  Johnny glances pointedly at the kitchen, where Tony's wife is pouring glasses of lemonade for two black plumbers.  Johnny: "We came over to keep Dolores company."  Grandpa Anthony, reverting to Italian, begins to chew out his son-in-law for leaving Dolores alone with two "sacks of coal."  Tony, also in Italian: "I didn't know who they were going to send.  I didn't know they were going to send eggplants."  Tony watches as the two men finish their lemonade.  Dolores smilingly escorts them to the door.  Once they are gone, Tony heads into the kitchen and looks at the two drinking glasses with disgust.  Picking them up gingerly with two fingers, as if they were covered in germs, Tony drops them into the garbage can.  (Caution: h-word used)
