ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Bilbo brings a fearful message to the dwarves:  in addition to the pack of vicious Orcs pursuing them, there is now a giant beast on their trail.  Trapped between two dangerous adversaries, the group is desperate to find a refuge in which to hide.  Gandalf tells them of a house nearby where they might be able to rest in safety.  The only problem is, the owner is neither friend nor foe.  Gandalf: "He will help us or...he will kill us."  Thorin: "What choice do we have?"  Gandalf: "None."  The party quickly runs toward the dubious shelter.  Just as they pass through the gate surrounding the house, a bear-like creature of enormous proportions bounds out of the forest in their wake.  They enter the house just in time to slam the door in the bear's face.  Breathing heavily from their near-death experience, the dwarves ask: "What is that?"  Gandalf: "That is our host."

Gandalf escorts the dwarves to Greenwood, instructing them to be on guard during their journey through the woods: "The very air of the forest is heavy with illusion.  It'll seek to enter your mind and lead you astray.  You must stay on the path.  Do not leave it.  If you do, you'll never find it again."  Gandalf turns his horse, calling back one more warning: "No matter what may come, stay on the path!"  Bilbo and the dwarves reluctantly enter the dark, oppressive woods.  The branches and roots of the thick trees form a tangled prison around them, making it difficult to see more than a few feet in front of them.  Overhead, the canopy of leaves blocks out all but the weakest sunlight.  Deeper and deeper into the forest they go, and the path becomes more difficult to follow.  At times, it is almost completely hidden by the undergrowth and fallen leaves.  The party must stop many times to reassure themselves they have not lost the path.  Finally, they come to the edge of a precipice and realize that somehow they have lost their way.  Immediately, the blackness surrounds and chokes them.  Confusion reigns among them.  They speak in slurred voices, losing track of time, purpose, and even self.

The dwarves are wandering aimlessly through the woods, having lost the path (see Scene # CV07276).  They realize the seriousness of their predicament when they find evidence that they have been walking in circles for some time.  Their desperation soon brings frustration, and the dwarves begin to fight amongst themselves.  While the dwarves argue uselessly and menacing noises sound nearer and nearer, Bilbo has an idea which may prove to be their salvation.  He looks up at the thick canopy of leaves and branches overhead, seeing a slight glimmer of the sun.  Climbing a large tree, he pushes his head up and out of the thick masses of leaves at the top as if surfacing from the ocean.  Above the trees, he can see clearly and is awed by the beauty of his surroundings.  Outside the darkness of the forest, the air is fresh and the path to their destination is clear.  Bilbo excitedly shouts down to the others: "I know which way to go!"

The imprisoned dwarves have all but given up hope of reaching the Lonely Mountain when Bilbo suddenly arrives to free them from the elfish dungeon.  Releasing each of them from their cells, Bilbo instructs the dwarves to follow him into the cellar.  When they see where Bilbo is leading them, the dwarves protest: "You were supposed to be leading us out, not further in!"  Bilbo, whispering so as not to awaken the guards: "I know what I'm doing!"  Reluctantly, the dwarves continue to follow until they arrive in a room filled with huge, empty barrels.  When Bilbo orders them to climb into the barrels, they resist, believing they will be found in such an obvious hiding place.  However, Bilbo insists, begging them: "Please, please, you must trust me!"  Having no other options, the dwarves obey.  Once they are each inside a barrel, Bilbo gives them one further instruction: "Hold your breath!"  The startled dwarves barely have enough time to obey when Bilbo pulls a lever and the floor suddenly falls away beneath them.  The barrels and their dwarf cargoes drop into the river below.  When Bilbo joins the dwarves in the water, Thorin thanks him: "Well done, Master Baggins."

As a party of evil Orcs swarm through his land, Thranduil confronts one that he has taken captive.  Gazing upon the monstrous visage of the beast in his presence, Thranduil is moved to describe the depravity he sees: "Such is the nature of evil.  Out there in the vast ignorance of the world, it festers and spreads, a shadow that grows in the dark.  A sleepless malice as black as the oncoming wall of night.  So it ever was.  So will it always be.  In time, all foul things come forth."

Tauriel has defied the orders of the elf king and is in pursuit of the evil Orcs who are bent on murdering the dwarves.  Legolas has followed her in order to convince her to return to their kingdom.  He attempts to persuade her by reminding her that she owes her allegiance to the king who has protected her for hundreds of years.  But Tauriel is firm in her decision to destroy the Orcs before they can destroy others: "If I go back, I will not forgive myself."  Tauriel believes the king is wrong for protecting his own land from Orcs, but turning a blind eye when Orcs destroy the lands of their neighbors.  Legolas defends his father: "It is not our fight!"  Tauriel: "It is our fight.  It will not end here.  With every victory, this evil will grow.  If your father has his way, we will do nothing.  We will hide within our walls, live our lives away from the light, and let darkness descend.  Are we not part of this world?  When did we let evil become stronger than us?"

The party of dwarves has finally made it to their destination.  Standing together on a rocky ledge, they wait for the setting sun to shine its light on the wall to reveal the hidden keyhole.  They watch and wait, but nothing happens.  They begin searching, tapping, prodding, knocking on the wall, but all to no avail.  Finally, Thorin orders his men to break down the wall, but they are unable to do so.  At last, the sun sets completely and the dwarves are left standing in the grey gloom of dusk.  Oin, shaking his head in disappointment: "We lost the light.  There's no more to be done.  We had but one chance."  Sadly, the dwarves file back down the mountain, leaving Bilbo alone on the rocky ledge.  Hopeless, Thorin drops the key on the ground and walks away.  Bilbo tries to rally their downcast spirits: "You can't give up now!"  But hope has died in everyone except Bilbo.  He stands alone in front of the wall, repeating the words of the scroll aloud.  Suddenly, the moon comes out from behind a cloud, shining its cool light on the wall.  Bilbo watches in amazement as a keyhole appears.  He calls the dwarves back to the ledge to see that their mission was not in vain.

Gandalf is at the ruins of Dol Guldur, where a great evil is reputed to be in hiding.  He walks around the decrepit fortress, casting spells designed to reveal any hidden darkness.  Speaking Elvish, Gandalf strikes his staff on the ground, sending a glowing white orb of light across the darkened floor.  The orb reveals Azog, who has hidden in the fortress with his evil band of Orcs.  Pointing his staff at the creature, Gandalf demands to know the location of his master.  Azog, kept at bay by the power of the staff, gloats: "He is everywhere.  We are legion!"  Gandalf looks over the edge of the broken floor and sees the ground below literally crawling with evil beasts.  Eluding Azog, Gandalf tries to leave the fortress, but is stopped by Azog's hidden master.  A cloud of blackness swirls around Gandalf, and a horrible voice comes from within: "There is no light, Wizard, that can defeat darkness."  Gandalf again uses his staff to release the gleaming white orb, but it only repels the blackness for a short time before Gandalf is worn out.  The darkness suddenly turns to flames, and the figure of a man walks in the fire.  Gandalf's staff crumbles and he is thrown backwards by the power of the flames.  He sees the figure and knows its name: "Sauron!"  (Caution: disturbing images)

Bilbo is in the abandoned dwarf halls, hunting for the Arkenstone.  He walks on mountains of endless gold and jewels hoarded there by the treasure-loving dwarves.  As he moves a gold vase to search for the Arkenstone, he inadvertendly shifts a hill of gold coins, revealing the great eye of a sleeping dragon.  Smaug, the evil dragon who stole the kingdom and treasure of the dwarves, is asleep under his pile of loot.  Gingerly, Bilbo creeps away, trying not to awaken the beast.  But it is too late.  The great eye opens and focuses.  Out of desperation, Bilbo puts on the ring of power, rendering himself invisible.  Smaug rises from the pile of coins, his huge body filling the chamber.  He sniffs the air, searching for his unknown visitor.  Frightened, Bilbo panicks, running towards shelter.  Smaug chases after him.
