ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Kevin, entering his mom's room, finding her talking on the phone while she packs: "Mom, Uncle Frank won't let me watch the movie, but the big kids can.  Why can't I?"  Kate: "Kevin, I'm on the phone."  Returning to her phone call, "When do you get back?  Not 'till then?"  Kevin, interrupting again: "It's not even rated R.  He's just being a jerk."  Kate, beginning to grow impatient: "Kevin, if Uncle Frank says no...then it must be really bad."  Returning to her phone call, "No, we're not bringing the dog.  We're putting him in the kennel for the..."  Turning to find Kevin on her bed digging through stuff she is trying to pack, "Hey, hey, hey!  Get off!  Kevin, out of the room."  Kevin, not moving: "Hang up the phone and make me, why don't you?"  Kate, frustrated, under her breath: "Oh, this kid."  Peter, Kevin's dad, as he enters the room: "Kate, did you, by any chance, pick up the voltage adapter thing?"  Kate, impatiently: "No, I didn't have time to do that."  Peter: "Well, how am I supposed to shave in France?"  Kate: "Grow a goatee."  Kevin, as Kate finishes her phone call: "Dad, nobody will let me do anything."  Peter: "You don't have anything to do?  I've got something for you to do.  You can pick up those Micro Machines that are all over in there.  Aunt Leslie stepped on one and almost broker her neck."  Kate: "He was in the garage again playing with the glue gun."  Peter: "Didn't we talk about that?"  Kevin: "Did I burn down the joint?  I don't think so.  I was making ornaments out of fish hooks."  Peter: "My new fish hooks?"  Kevin: "I can't make ornaments out of the old ones, with dry worm guts stuck on them."  Kate: "Peter."  Peter: "Come on, Kevin."  Picking up his son, "Out."  Leslie, entering the room: "Peter, Kate, do you guys have a voltage adapter?"  Peter, handing Kevin to Leslie: "Here.  Here's a voltage adapter."

Buzz, Kevin, and Rod watch from an upstairs window as an old man with a snow shovel and garbage can works outside.  Rod: "Who's he?"  Buzz: "You ever heard of the South Bend Shovel Slayer?"  Rod: "No."  Buzz: "That's him.  Back in '58, he murdered his whole family and half the people on his block...with a snow shovel.  Been hiding out in this neighborhood ever since."  Rod: "Well, if he's the Shovel Slayer how come the cops don't arrest him?"  Buzz: "Not enough evidence to convict.  They never found the bodies.  But everyone around here knows he did it.  And it'll just be a matter of time...before he does it again."  Rod: "What's he doing now?"  Buzz: "He walks up and down the streets every night salting the sidewalks."  Rod, voice cracking: "Maybe he's just trying to be nice."  Buzz: "No way.  See that garbage can full of salt?  That's where he keeps his victims.  The salt turns the bodies into mummies."  Rod, impressed: "Whoa."  Kevin, whispering fearfully: "Mummies."  Suddenly, the man looks up spotting the three boys.  With a shout they quickly close the curtains.

Kevin, as his brother, Buzz, takes a giant bite of pizza: "Did anyone order me a plain cheese?"  Buzz, still chewing: "Oh, yeah, we did, but if you want any, somebody's going to have to barf it all up because it's gone."  Aunt Leslie, to her bed-wetting son, who is supposed to share a bed with Kevin: "Fuller, go easy on the Pepsi."  Buzz, obnoxiously pretending to vomit up the pizza: "Kev!  Kev!  Get a plate!"  As Buzz continues to make retching noises, Kevin snaps, screaming as he charges at his brother.  Chaos ensues as milk is spilled over everyone's passports and Kevin's is accidentally thrown away.  Kate, yelling at Kevin: "Stop!  Stop!  What is the matter with you?!"  Kevin, pointing to Buzz: "He started it!  He ate my pizza on purpose.  He knows I hate sausage and olives and onions..."  Uncle Frank, trying to dry himself off: "Look what you did, you little jerk!"  As Kevin looks around the silent room, he finds everyone glaring angrily at him.  Kate: "Kevin, get upstairs, right now."  Kevin: "Why!?"  Jeff: "Kevin, you're such a disease!"  Kevin: "Shut up."  Peter: "Kevin, upstairs!"  Kate, pulling Kevin by the arm: "Say good night, Kevin."  Kevin, sarcastically, before being pulled away: "Good night, Kevin."

Kevin, after attacking his brother, Buzz, and making a huge mess (see previous Scene), is being taken upstairs.  Kate, Kevin's mom: "There are fifteen people in this house.  You're the only one who has to make trouble."  Kevin: "I'm the only one getting dumped on."  Kate, as they reach the stairs leading to the attic: "You're the only one acting up.  Now, get upstairs."  Kevin, rudely: "I am upstairs, dummy."  As Kate opens the door to the attic, "The third floor?"  Kate: "Go."  Kevin: "It's scary up there."  Kate: "Don't be silly, Fuller will be up in a little while."  Kevin, whining: "I don't wanna sleep with Fuller.  You know about him.  He wets the bed.  He'll pee all over me.  I know it."  Kate: "Fine.  We'll put him somewhere else."  Kevin, feigning contrition: "I'm sorry."  Kate: "It's too late.  Get upstairs."  Kevin, stomping up the stairs: "Everyone in this family hates me."  Kate: "Then maybe you should ask Santa for a new family."  Kevin: "I don't want a new family.  I don't want any family.  Families suck."  Kate, sternly: "Just stay up there.  I don't want to see you again for the rest of the night."  Kevin: "I don't want to see you again for the rest of my whole life.  And I don't want to see anybody else, either."  Kate: "I hope you don't mean that.  You'd feel pretty sad if you woke up tomorrow morning and you didn't have a family."  Kevin: "No I wouldn't."  Kate: "Then say it again.  Maybe it'll happen."  Kevin, before turning around and stomping up the stairs: "I hope I never see any of you jerks again!"

Kevin has accidentally been left home alone by his family.  While hiding under his parents bed after watching a scary movie: "This is ridiculous.  Only a wimp would be hiding under a bed.  And I can't be a wimp.  I'm the man of the house."  Yelling, after leaving his hiding place and venturing outside, "Hey!  I'm not afraid anymore!  I said, I'm not afraid anymore!  Do you hear me?!  I'm not afraid anymore!"  A shadow looms over Kevin as his neighbor appears, snow shovel in hand and garbage can full of salt in tow (see Scene # CV06968).  Terrified, Kevin runs screaming back into the house.

Kate and her family have flown to Paris for the holidays and have accidentally left their youngest son home alone.  Now, Kate is doing everything she can to get back to Chicago.  Employee working the ticket counter at the airport: "Everything's full."  Kate, indignant: "Everything's full?"  Employee, sympathetically: "I'm very sorry, but it is Christmas Eve."  Kate, determined: "What about another airline?"  Employee, after checking the computer: "Nothing available.  May I help you get a hotel room in the city?  Tomorrow afternoon we can get you a flight to Chicago."  Kate: "I can't wait that long."  Employee, as a line begins to form behind Kate: "I'm terribly sorry, ma'am, but we're doing absolutely everything we can."  Kate, stepping aside as the employee begins helping the next customer: "Go ahead.  I'm in your way.  I'm sorry.  Excuse me, you have places to go.  People to see.  You got a ticket there.  That's good."  Shoving the lady aside, "Look, I have been awake for almost 60 hours.  I'm tired and I'm dirty.  I have been from Chicago to Paris to Dallas to--where the h--- am I?"  Employee: "Scranton."  Kate, raising her voice: "I am trying to get home to my eight-year-old son.  And now that I'm this close, you're telling me it's hopeless?"  Employee: "Oh, I'm sorry."  Kate: "No.  No, no, no way!  This is Christmas!  The season of perpetual hope."  Employee: "Ma'am if..."  Kate, interrupting: "And I don't care if I have to get out on your runway and hitchhike, if it costs me everything I own, if I have to sell my soul to the devil himself, I am going to get home to my son."  Employee: "Uh, ma'am, if there was anything at all I could do for you today..."  Kate, interrupting: "Do it.  Do anything."  Employee: "Uh, I can get you a hotel room.  You can..."  Kate, turning around and snapping at a man who has approached the counter: "What!?"  Man: "Excuse me."  To the employee, "Can you excuse us for a second?"  To Kate, "Can I see you for a second?  Please?"  As he leads Kate off to the side, "Excuse us.  Come on over here."  (Caution: h-word used)

Kate and her family have flown to Paris for the holidays, accidentally leaving their youngest son home alone.  Trying to get back to her son in Chicago, Kate is now stranded at the airport in Scranton (see previous Scene).  Gus, after pulling Kate away from the ticket counter: "I couldn't help but hearing you're--you've got a little bit of a dilemma there."  Chuckling, "Well, we've got a crisis ourselves.  Allow me to introduce myself.  Gus Polinski."  Shaking Kate's hand, "How are you?"  Hoping for recognition, but receiving confused silence, "Polka King of the Midwest?"  Motioning to his band, "The Kenosha Kickers?"  After Kate remains unresponsive, "No?  That's okay.  I thought you might have recognized...anyways, um, I had a few hits a few years ago.  That's why I, you know...'Polka Polka Polka'?"  After singing a few words, "No?  'Twin Lakes Polka'?  'Domavougi Polka'?  A.K.A. 'Kiss Me Polka'?"  Beginning to dance, "'Polka Twist'?"  Kate: "Oh, these are songs?"  Gus: "Yeah.  Yeah.  We--some fairly big hits for us, you know, in the early 70's, you know."  Kate: "Oh." Gus: "Yeah, we sold about 623 copies of that."  Kate: "In Chicago?"  Gus: "No, Sheboygan.  Very big in Sheboygan.  They loved it, you know."  Kate: "I'm sorry, did you say you could help me?"  Gus: "Anyway, I-I'm ramblin' on here.  Our flight was canceled, so we got to drive.  So, see the guy in the yellow jacket over there by the Budget sign?  He's gonna rent us a nice big, uh, van, and we're gonna drive to Milwaukee.  Now, I heard you had some problems.  You're, uh, gettin' to Chicago to see your kid or somethin'?"  Kate: "Uh, my son.  He--We left and he...he's there."  Gus, full of compassion: "Ahh, geez.  If you have to get to Chicago, we'll gladly drive you.  It's on the way to Milwaukee."  Kate, stunned by the generous offer: "You'd give me a ride?"  Gus: "Sure we will.  Why not?  You know, you've got to get home to see your kid."  Kate, still in disbelief: "A ride to Chicago?"  Gus: "Sure.  You know, it's Christmastime."  Kate, overwhelmed with gratitude: "Thank you.  Oh, thank you."  Gus: "If you don't mind goin' with some polka bums."  Kate: "No.  No, I'd love to."

Kevin, rushing over to Santa Claus as he gets in his car after his shift: "Santa, hold on."  As Santa quickly tries to hide his cigarette, "Can I talk to you for a minute?"  Santa: "Yeah, if you make it quick.  Santa's got a little get-together that he's late for."  Kevin: "Okay.  I know you're not the real Santa Claus."  Santa, pulling his fake beard back over his mouth: "What makes you say that, just out of curiosity?"  Kevin: "I'm old enough to know how it works."  Santa: "Alright."  Kevin: "But I also know that you work for him.  I would like you to give him a message."  Santa: "Shoot."  Kevin: "I'm Kevin McCallister, 671 Lincoln Boulevard.  Do you need the phone number?"  Santa: "Nah, that's alright."  Kevin: "Okay.  This is extremely important.  Would you please tell him that instead of presents this year I just want my family back?  No toys, nothing but Peter, Kate, Buzz, Megan, Linnie, and Jeff...and my aunt and my cousins.  And if he has time, my Uncle Frank.  Okay?"  Santa: "Okay.  I'll see what I can do."  Kevin: "Thanks."  Santa, as Kevin starts to walk away: "Wait.  Hold on a second."  As he digs through his pockets, "My elf took the last of the candy canes home to her boyfriend."  Kevin: "That's okay."  Santa: "No, no, no.  Don't be silly."  Pulling out a box of Tic Tacs, "Everybody who sees Santa has got to get...somethin'.  Here.  Hold out your little paw there."  As he empties three Tic Tacs into Kevin's hand, "There you go.  Don't spoil your dinner."  Kevin: "I won't.  Thanks."

Eight-year-old, Kevin McCallister, is sitting in church listening to the choir rehearse.  Across the aisle from him is Marley, one of Kevin's neighbors (see Scene # CV06968).  Marley, approaching a frightened Kevin: "Merry Christmas."  As Kevin gives a grunt of surprise, "May I sit down?"  After sitting, "That's my granddaughter up there.  The little red-haired girl.  She's about your age.  Do you know her?"  Kevin: "No."  Marley: "You live next to me, don't you?"  Kevin: "Yeah."  Marley: "You can say hello when you see me.  You don't have to be afraid.  There's a lot of things going around about me, but none of it's true.  Okay?"  Changing the subject, "Been a good boy this year?"  Kevin: "I think so."  Marley: "You swear to it?"  Kevin, honestly: "No."  Marley: "Yeah.  I had a feeling.  Well, this is the place to be if you're feeling bad about yourself."  Kevin: "It is?"  Marley: "I think so."  Kevin: "Are you feeling bad about yourself?"  Marley: "No."  Kevin: "I've been kind of a pain lately.  I said some things I shouldn't have.  I really haven't been too good this year."  Marley: "Yeah."  Kevin: "I'm kind of upset about it because I really like my family.  Even though sometimes I say I don't.  Sometimes I even think I don't.  Do you get that?"  Marley: "I think so.  How you feel about your family is a complicated thing."  Kevin: "Especially with an older brother."  Marley: "Deep down, you always love them, but you can forget that you love them.  And you can hurt them, and they can hurt you, and that's not just because you're young.  You want to know the real reason why I'm here right now?"  Kevin: "Sure."  Marley: "Came to hear my granddaughter sing.  I can't come and hear her tonight."  Kevin: "You have plans?"  Marley, sadly: "No.  I'm not welcome."  Kevin, stunned: "At church?"  Marley: "Oh, you're always welcome at church.  I'm not welcome with my son.  Years back, before you and your family moved on the block, I had an argument with my son."  Kevin: "How old is he?"  Marley: "Oh, he's grown up."  Continuing, "We lost our tempers...and I said I didn't...care to see him anymore.  He said the same, and we haven't spoken to each other since."  Kevin: "If you miss him, why don't you call him?"  Marley: "I'm afraid if I call him, he won't talk to me."  Kevin: "How do you know?"  Marley: "I don't know.  I'm just afraid he won't."  Kevin: "No offense, but aren't you a little old to be afraid?"  Marley: "You can be a little old for a lot of things.  You're never too old to be afraid."  Kevin: "That's true.  I've always been afraid of our basement.  It's dark, there's weird stuff down there, and it smells funny.  That sort of thing.  It's bothered me for years."  Marley: "Yeah, basements are like that."  Kevin: "Then I made myself go down there to do some laundry and I found out it's not so bad.  All this time I've been worrying about it, but if you turn on the lights, it's no big deal."  Marley: "What's your point?"  Kevin: "My point is, you should call your son."  Marley: "Well, what if he won't talk to me?"  Kevin: "At least you'll know.  Then you can stop worrying about it, and you won't have to be afraid anymore.  I don't care how mad I was, I'd talk to my dad, especially around the holidays."  Marley: "I don't know."  Kevin: "Just give it a shot, for your granddaughter anyway.  I'm sure she misses you...and the presents."

Kate McCallister is trying to get back to her eight-year-old son after accidentally leaving him at home.  
Kate, riding in the back of a truck with polka band: "I'm a bad parent.  I'm a bad parent."
  Gus: "You're not.  You know, you're--you're beating yourself up there.  You know?  This happens.  These things happens, you know?  Gee, you want to talk about bad parents?  Look at us.  I mean, we're on the road 48, 49 weeks out of the year.  We hardly see our families.  Joe over there, gosh, you know, he forgets his kids' names half the time.  Ziggy over there, he doesn't even--he's never even met his kid.  Eddie...let's just hope none of them write a book about him."
  Kate: "Tell me, have you ever gone on vacation and left your child home?"
  Gus: "No.  No.  But I did leave one at a funeral parlor once.  Yeah, it was--it was terrible, too.  You know, I was all distraught and everything, you know.  And the wife and I, we left the--the little tyke there in the funeral parlor all day--all day, you know.  We went back at night when, you know, we came to our senses and there he was.  Apparently he was there alone all day with a corpse.  Yeah, he was okay, you know...after six, seven weeks.  He kinda came around, started talking again...uh, but he's okay.  You know, they get over it.  Kids are resilient like that."
  Kate: "Maybe we shouldn't talk about this."
  Gus: "You know, you brought it up.  I was just trying to cheer you up."
  Kate: "I'm sorry I did."
