ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement! 

All Scene Ideas (using your own copy or rental; via Blu-ray, DVD, streaming or download) include a scene summary, themes and time cues.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

Pete gets caught in Ellie and Lizzy's argument, leaving Juan unattended with a nail gun.


Lizzy finds out that her biological mother isn't coming for her and her siblings due to using drugs again.


Pete comes in after a long day at work to find Ellie quietly crying in front of the computer screen.  Asking his wife what is causing her pain, he learns that she is reading the bios of foster children on an adoption website.  Ellie, tears on her cheeks: "There's so many kids in foster care, and they're moving from place to place, and they don't have anybody..."  Telling her husband the adoption agency is hosting a prospective-parent orientation, she turns the computer screen so Pete can see the pictures of the children.  Pete, terrified at the prospect of fostering, quickly shuts the laptop: "Whoa!  No, don't show me that!  I don't want to see those little faces.  You trying to break my heart?  Ellie, people who take in foster kids are really special.  These are the kind of people who volunteer when it's not even a holiday.  We don't even volunteer on a holiday!"  Ellie continues to try to convince Pete to think about becoming foster parents.  Her efforts are fruitless and she leaves the room to go to bed.  Pete turns on the television, only to turn it back off after a few moments.  He opens the laptop and begins reading the profiles of the children for himself.  Dozens of hopeful little faces stare back at him, with heart-tugging comments like, "I have never had a pet so I hope my forever family has a dog or a cat," "I wish I had a mommy and daddy to kiss me goodnight when I go to bed," and "I'd be okay with any parents that listen."  Much as he predicted, Pete is wrecked by the emotion he feels at the sight of all these children in need of parents.  He begins to think that maybe, just maybe, he could be one of those "special" parents.


We watch from outside the bathroom as Pete and Ellie begin the process of getting three kids to bed.  First, they have to wait for the teenager to get finished with the shower.  Then, they have to wrangle the little one into the tub without getting soaked in the process.  (When she discovers the removable shower head, this becomes a difficult task.)  We see Pete and Ellie wiping down the floors and ceiling outside the bathroom.  Now, with the little one in pajamas, they have to ensure the middle-school-aged boy is legitimately cleansing himself.  Both Pete and Ellie trail after the kids, picking up their abandoned clothing from off the floor and putting it in the laundry hamper that lies mere inches away.  Next comes the teeth-brushing.  The little one, enthralled by her new electric toothbrush, runs outside the bathroom, waving it in the air like a baton.  Toothpaste and spit go flying everywhere.  We again see Pete and Ellie wiping down the floors and ceiling outside the bathroom.  Just as the kids are in bed and the lights are off, the boy runs back out to use the bathroom.  Then he goes back to bed and the little one thinks she now needs a turn.  She returns to bed with the sound of running water coming from the bathroom.  A tired Pete heads in with a toilet plunger.

Pete and Ellie are discussing whether or not to foster the three children they met at the adoption orientation.  Pete is hesitant: "I thought when we met our kids that there would be like this cosmic connection.  Like, just take one look at them and we'd know... just like when you and me met."  Ellie, looking back at her work: "Yeah.  Totally."  Pete, sensing her hesitation: "Whoa, whoa, whoa.  What?  You didn't just know?"  Ellie, feigning confusion: "Huh?"  Pete: "Oh, my gosh.  You heard what I said.  You didn't just know?"  Ellie, stammering: "No, I was interested, but, you know, I'm more cautious than you are."  Pete: "Really?  Wow.  How long before you just knew?"  Ellie, shrugging: "A couple of months."  Pete, doggedly: "How many months?"  Ellie: "Like...four..."  Pete, astounded: "Four!"  Ellie, finishing: "...teen.  Fourteen."  Pete, flabbergasted at the length of time it took Ellie to know he was her true love: "Fourteen!"  Ellie, defensively: "I knew before we got married, okay?"


It is the end of a long road for Pete and Ellie.  Months of fostering their three children have led them to family court, where they will finally be able to make their family official.  Judge Rivas addresses the room full of family and friends, telling them that adoption days are the days that bring him the most joy.  Ordering the bailiff to turn on some peppy music, the judge continues: "We are here today to officially create a new family.  Peter and Elinore Wagner, do you wish to adopt Juan, Lita, and Lizzie into your family today?"  Pete and Ellie, both with tears in their eyes and grins on their faces: "Yes, Your Honor."  The judge then turns to the children: "Juan, Lita, and Lizzie, would you like Peter and Elinore to be your mom and dad?"  The kids, all beaming, agree.  Judge: "Well then, by the authority vested in me by the state of California, I pronounce you...a family!"  The courtroom erupts in cheering.  Pete, Ellie, and the kids gather behind the judge's seat for a family picture.  Before they know it, every single person in the courtroom has joined them.  Bailiff, holding the camera: "Say, 'Family!'"  The camera flashes, capturing an image of dozens of people, a community and a family.


Pete and Ellie are at a soccer game with new foster kids Lizzy, Juan, and Lita. While watching Lizzy play soccer, the youngest, Lita, comes crying to Pete with her broken doll. After easily fixing the doll, Lita runs off and thanks him – calling him ‘Daddy’ for the first time.  Jealous, Ellie goes running after the little girl, “Hey, Lita, can I help you with anything?”

Pete and Ellie are settling into the new routines of parenting.  They experience times of emotional highs, like teaching a son to throw a baseball, watching a daughter's school play, and cheering on a child in a soccer game.  But there are also times of slogging through the daily grind...picking up endless amounts of toys, doing the laundry of five people, and playing referee to squabbling siblings.  But Pete and Ellie are finding that the joys of measuring a child's growth on the wall and having a water fight on a camping trip are worth the trials of being parents.  (Caution: mom shown sitting on toilet)


It's Christmas dinner and Pete and Ellie have prepared a special meal for their three new foster children.  Everything starts off well, with hands held around the table in prayer, a cozy, decorated home, and a delicious dinner for them all to share.  But, it doesn't take long for everything to disintegrate.  Lita, who has steadfastly refused to eat anything besides potato chips since she first arrived in the home, is disgusted when Pete and Ellie insist she eat the dinner they provided. Lizzie, the teenager who is used to having to mother her younger siblings, tries to step in and force Lita to eat.  Lita smacks her sister and Lizzie yells at her, ordering her to her room.  Ellie, who wants to position herself in the role of mother, asks Lizzie to let her handle the situation.  Lizzie, angry, sits back and gloats over the ensuing chaos.  When Ellie tries to spoon-feed Lita the meatloaf, Lita flings the food across the room, screaming: "I want my chips!"  Ellie refuses to give Lita chips.  Lita begins throwing food at both Pete and Ellie.  Not receiving a response, she begins to scream at the top of her lungs.  Juan, startled, knocks his glass of milk onto the floor.  He starts to whimper.  Meanwhile, Lita has poached herself a bag of chips from the kitchen.  When Ellie stands up to take the chips from her, she conks her head on the hanging lamp.  She makes a grab for the chips, trying to wrestle them out of Lita's hands.  The bag breaks and chips sail all over the room.  In the process, the glass candle is knocked across the table, hits Pete in the head, and sets fire to the napkins.  Pete, grabbing the first thing he sees, begins to frantically squirt ketchup all over the fire in an attempt to put it out.  With Ellie's help, and a glass of milk, they get the fire out.  But their kitchen is now in a shambles.  A bitter Lizzie leads her brother and sister away to get cleaned up.  Lita complains angrily about Ellie as she leaves the room: "I hate her!"  Ellie and Pete are left alone in the kitchen, staring sadly at one another.

Pete and Ellie are showing Russ and Kim around a house, when Russ makes an offhand remark about Ellie never having children.  Ellie, surprised at the comment, unconsciously makes a face.  Then she rolls her eyes at Pete.  Kim, pouncing: "What was that look?"  Ellie: "What look?"  Kim: "You gave a definite look."  Ellie perpetuates her denial.  Pete: "Yeah.  There was a look.  What was the look for?  Because you looked back at me to try to include me in your look."  Ellie: "I didn't do a look."  Kim: "Totally did a look."  Ellie: "It wasn't a look."  Russ, grinning, enjoying watching the battle: "I think we just started some trouble."  Ellie: "No, there's no trouble."  Russ: "Maybe even a fight!"  Ellie: "There's no fight.  There's no trouble."  After a brief continuance of the skirmish, Russ and Kim leave with this parting shot: "Have a good fight."  Ellie, seeing Pete looking at her: "I didn't do a look!"  Pete: "You're doing a look right now."


Brenda, a former foster child, has been asked to come to the foster parent orientation to share her story.  Brenda, standing in front of the prospective parents: "So, when I was eight years old, my mom and her boyfriend decided it would be a good idea to build a meth lab in our garage.  They made me deliver drugs for them, they abused me physically, and some of their customers abused me sexually.  When I was eleven, our garage exploded, and I was put in the system.  Bounced around from placement to placement.  Pretty soon, I was fourteen.  Nobody wants a teenager, so I'd be aging out in a few years.  The thing is, over half the kids who age out of foster care end up homeless, addicted, incarcerated or dead within two years.  That was going to be me...trying to start my adult life, but with no family to help me pick a college, nobody to come home to on the holidays.  But then those two very special people came along.  And, I didn't make it easy on them.  But, no matter how hard I pushed them away, they were always there with a sack lunch and a ride."  Brenda, tears in her eyes, smiles at the two loving parents who adopted her: "Thanks, guys."
