ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* and *Standard CVLI Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 11,000+ Scene Ideas and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources. 

ScreenVue saves you hours of time finding that perfect movie illustration for next Sunday’s sermon, child or youth service, or video announcement!

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 300,000+ songs and 4,500+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from almost 3,000 producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the Scene Ideas and Scene Downloads that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly). 
- In light of COVID-19, the Church Video License has made temporary modifications to the license: For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie, they can use a platform that is gated or private (password protected entry to only members and guests and not open to the general public), such as Zoom (requiring a password to join).

It has been many years since the jungle has seen such a long and terrible drought.  At the watering hole, the level of the water has sunk so low that the large rock in the middle has been uncovered.  To the animals, this rock, the Peace Rock, is significant.  It means the lion can lie down with the lamb, hunters can drink alongside their prey, and everyone is safe.  Because water has become such a scarce commodity, the law of the jungle states that no one can hunt around the watering hole.  Mowgli arrives with his wolf pack to see a sight that many have never seen before.  Panthers and wolves mix with gazelles and oxen.  An alligator with wide open jaws allows several birds to drink from his mouth.  The crowd around the hole is thick, yet peaceful.  Mowgli looks around in wonder at the array of creatures mingling together.  Peacocks, porcupines, boar, rhinos, snakes, and mice all drink together in peace.

The peace of the watering hole has been broken by the arrival of Shere Kahn.  The frightened animals scatter before the cruel tiger.  All but the wolves, who stand still, sheltering a small boy behind their bodies.  Shere Kahn confronts Akela, angry that a man cub has been allowed into their presence.  Akela, forcefully: "Mowgli belongs to my Pack, Shere Kahn."  Disgusted, the tiger reminds the animals that man is their enemy.  Raksha angrily tells the tiger to leave her cub alone.  The tiger, however, is determined to kill the boy.  He vows that, as soon as the Water Truce has ended, he will return for his prey.  He stares challengingly at the pack of wolves surrounding the boy: "You want to protect him, fine.  But ask yourselves, how many lives is a man-cub worth?"

Mowgli reluctantly interrupts the council of the wolves to announce his decision to leave the jungle.  The wolves have been arguing over whether or not to protect Mowgli from the tiger Shere Kahn, and Mowgli has no desire to see any of them hurt because of him.  Raksha, Mowgli's adopted mother wolf, vehemently desires to keep Mowgli in the pack: "We raised him as one of our own!"  When the council appears to agree with Mowgli's decision, Raksha moves to stand in front of her son, as if to shield him from the others: "He's my son!  We are the only family he has known!"  Finally, Akela says the only words that could convince her to let her son go: "It's the only way he'll be safe."  Realizing that Akela is right, Raksha turns to Mowgli, tears in her eyes: "Never forget this.  You're mine.  Mine to me.  No matter where you go, or what they may call you, you will always be my son."

Bagheera is escorting Mowgli to his new home in the man village.  The boy, reluctant to leave his home in the jungle, is bitterly complaining about Bagheera's decision.  He keeps up a steady flow of questions, debating every decision Bagheera makes: "What if I live with the nylghai?  This is my home!  I don't even know what man's like.  But I wanna stay in the jungle.  Why do I have to go there?"  Bagheera, patiently: "This is not a discussion."  The two have come to a field of tall grass.  Mowgli continues complaining: "This isn't fair.  You're not giving me a choice.  There's a lot of stuff you're not telling me, too."  Bagheera ignores Mowgli's murmurings, his eyes focused on the field.  Suddenly, he stops, his senses alerted to danger.  Quietly, he orders Mowgli: "Down!"  Mowgli stops, answering sarcastically: "What?  Now we have to bow to the buffalo, too?"  Bagheera: "Listen to me.  This is not a game."  Bagheera gives Mowgli detailed instructions and tells him to run.  Mowgli: "What are you talking about?  I'm not taking one more step until you t--"  Mowgli's words are cut short by the growl of a tiger.  The tiger leaps toward Mowgli.  Just in time, Bagheera throws himself in front of the boy.  The tiger and the panther wrestle while Mowgli races toward the river.

The rain pours down on the muddy mountain trail.  A line of oxen gingerly proceed on the narrow passageway, their hooves slipping and sliding in the mud.  Mowgli, exhausted from his journey, rides on the back of one of the oxen, half-asleep.  Suddenly, a rumbling sound awakens the boy.  The oxen begin to cry out fearfully.  Mowgli looks up at the top of the mountain, where a piercing cracking sound is coming from the trees.  Mowgli's eyes widen in fear as a huge river of mud begins to cascade down the mountain, sweeping aside the trees and everything else in its path.  The oxen, trapped by the river of mud in front of them, begin to try to back up along the path.  The landslide quickly envelopes the entire trail, however, and there is no where for the oxen to go.  Mowgli jumps off the back of the animal and rolls down the mountain, hoping to avoid the river of mud and debris falling quickly toward him.  Grunting as his body slams repeatedly into the side of the mountain, Mowgli rolls until he reaches the river.  Falling into the water, he quickly surfaces and begins swimming furiously toward a large log.  Reaching it safely, he watches as the side of the mountain crumbles into the water.

Mowgli, lost and alone in the jungle, is standing in a dark, misty, lonely place.  Hearing a sound coming from the vine-covered darkness, Mowgli calls: "Who's out there?"  A low, dulcet voice answers: "Hi, little cub.  Don't be scared.  I'm not gonna hurt you."  Fearfully, Mowgli looks around for the source of the voice, but he sees nothing.  The owner of the voice continues to try to ease Mowgli's anxiety: "Are you alone out here?  That's not good.  We should never be alone."  The voice offers to stay and keep Mowgli company.  Finally, the voice reveals herself.  A gigantic snake hangs down from a tree in front of Mowgli, promising: "I'll keep you safe.  Just you and me, sweet thing."  Mowgli, still frightened: "Who are you?"  Snake, almost purring: "Kaa."  Kaa slowly slithers around Mowgli, still trying to gain his trust.  Her forked tongue flickers quickly in and out of her mouth: "Poor, sweet little cub.  What are you doing so deep in the jungle?"  Mowgli: "This is my home."  Kaa: "Don't you know what you are?"  The snake is very close now: "I know what you are.  I know where you came from."  Mowgli, intrigued now, takes a step forward: "You do?"  Kaa: "Yes.  Would you like to see?"  Kaa's pupils pulsate in a mesmeric rhythm.  Mowgli, in a trance, has been pulled into her spell: "Yes."

Mowgli has come back to his home to confront Shere Kahn.  The animals have gathered by the watering hole, seeking a refuge from the forest fire Mowgli inadvertently set with his torch.  Mowgli, his torch held high, calls out into the darkness: "Shere Kahn!  I'm not afraid of you!  No one has to be afraid of you anymore!"  The tiger draws Mowgli's attention to the flaming forest: "I think they're afraid of something else now."  Mowgli looks in horror at his torch, seeing the animals begin to back away from him in fear.  The tiger taunts Mowgli, daring him to use the fire against him:  "Show everyone what you really are!"  Mowgli refuses, tossing the torch into the river and extinguishing its flame.  Shere Kahn is surprised, but pleased.  He begins to slowly walk toward the boy: "That was the stupidest thing you could have done.  Now you have nothing.  No claws, no fur, no teeth...and no friends."  Suddenly, Baloo walks forward to stand beside Mowgli, announcing his support by chanting the law of the jungle: "This is the law of the jungle, as old and as true as the sky."  Shere Kahn: "What is this?"  One-by-one, the other animals move forward to stand by Mowgli, chanting: "Like the creeper that girdles the tree trunk, the law runneth over and back..."  Shere Kahn, angry now: "Fine!  Rise up, all of you!  You want to put yourselves between me and the man-cub?"  Mowgli, alone no longer, stands in the midst of a herd of animals, all chanting together: "The strength of the wolf is the pack!"

Shere Kahn is hunting Mowgli, intent on killing the boy.  While a forest fire rages below them, the two play cat-and-mouse in the treetops.  Mowgli deliberately makes his way to a hollow tree, winding a vine around a branch and suspending it out over the flaming forest floor.  The tiger follows Mowgli up into the tree, and Mowgli begins to tiptoe out onto a branch.  Shere Kahn follows, and Mowgli is seemingly trapped.  Shere Kahn, confident in his victory: "Did you think I would let you grow old?  Either I will devour you, or the Red Flower (fire) will."  Mowgli, walking out to the very end of the branch, boldly faces Shere Kahn: "I'm not afraid of you!  Do you hear me?  I'm done running from you!"  Shere Kahn, playing into Mowgli's hands, leaps at him in anger.  Mowgli jumps out of the way, swinging down from the vine he prepared earlier.  Shere Kahn lands on the branch, breaking it in half, and falls into the flames below.

Bagheera eventually finds Mowgli and Baloo and is incensed that Mowgli has not joined the humans as he had agreed, but has been talked into staying with Baloo through the bear's hibernation -- even though jungle bears don't hibernate.

Baloo is teaching Mowgli how to survive in the jungle. Baloo's perspective is to relax and enjoy life and not worry about what can't be changed. He slides into the water to float on his back and Mowgli joins him as they sing together: ♪ "Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities. Forget about your worries and your strife. I mean the bare necessities, that's why a bear can rest at ease with just the bare necessities of life!" ♪
