ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC) was founded in 1986 by former MGM executives and an MPAA attorney. Their goal was to develop a process to help the public leverage the work of the creative community without infringing on copyright.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Kate is just about to lock up the shop for the night when a tall, handsome stranger opens the door with a flourish.  Dramatic music begins to play in the background as the stranger sees Santa (not her real name) standing at the counter.  Completely ignoring Kate's offer of help, the man strides toward Santa, never taking his eyes off her.  He stops in front of the till, staring at her with wide eyes and open mouth before voicing a sultry "Good evening."  Santa starts to politely respond, but when she looks up and sees his face, she too falls under an immediate spell.  Romantic, Italian-sounding music begins to play as the two strangers stare at one another, obviously love-struck.  Santa, to cover her embarrassment: "Can I help you?  What is it you were looking for?"  Man, without looking down, grabs the first thing at hand and holds it up.  It is a hideous figurine of a toothy silver Santa holding a tombstone-shaped plaque reading: "Jesus is a buddy of mine."  Santa, her eyes glued to the man: "That is very nice."  Man: "It is Mr. Claus, I believe."  Santa: "Yes."  Man: "Upon his vehicle."  Santa: "Yes."  Man, hoping to draw out the moment as long as possible: "Do you have something...dissimilar?"  Santa, feeling behind her back so as not to break the love gaze: "Yes, we have many dissimilar items."  She grabs an equally hideous red glitter monkey: "For instance, this Christmas gibbon."  She pushes its stomach and it screeches the song, "Last Christmas."  For a moment, the two stand as if frozen in place, each holding their tacky items.  The man regretfully breaks the spell: "I'll come back for it."  He stalks out as quickly and dramatically as he stalked in.  Kate, having witnessed the entire interaction: "That was like watching a short Scandinavian film."


Kate has arrived to open the store.  She flips the switch to turn on the power, which activates the floor-to-ceiling Christmas lights and the Christmas music blaring "Last Christmas" over the loudspeakers.  Groaning, Kate shuffles across the room that is so packed with Christmas decor that hardly an inch of available space remains.  Santas and snowmen peer from every niche.  Glittery glass balls and tinsel sprout from every cranny.  Kate sighs, trying to will herself to match the saccharine spirit of the room: "Happy...happy."  She approaches a giant furred reindeer and strokes its nose for a moment before punching it in the face.  


Kate, who works a dead end job at a Christmas shop that sells ornaments all year round, is visited at work by the charming Tom. She shows him the worst item sold in the store: a creepy Nativity set that lights up and plays disco music.

After being thrown out by her flatmate, Kate is forced to live with her parents once again. When her overbearing and suffocating mother, Petra, joins her for a doctor’s appointment, it doesn’t go so well…

Tom is comforting Kate as she struggles with understanding who she is meant to be.  Kate tells him that having a serious illness made her feel special.  But, when she recovered and her family expected her to be normal and move on with life, Kate didn't know how to be normal.  Tom: "There's no such thing as normal.  It's a stupid word.  Does a lot of damage."  Kate: "Nothing feels right.  You're the only person that makes me feel...solid.  Like I exist."  Kate begins to cry, feeling worthless: "I can't do anything."  Tom: "I think the whole being-special-thing is overrated.  I think just to be a human being is hard.  You know, really hard."  Kate: "You seem to manage all right."  Tom: "One thing someone said to me helped me.  'Every little action of the common day makes or unmakes character.'  It just means that you're built of everything you do.  And that's okay."


Kate works a dead-end job as an elf at an all-year Christmas shop in Central London, owned by an eccentric woman named “Santa.” During a discussion, Kate is surprised to find out that Santa has gone by many names in the retail business!

Kate has come to stay at her parents' house.  She's in bed, in her old room, hoping to go to sleep soon.  Her mother, Petra, potters around, tidying her mess and peering through her luggage.  Petra, complaining that Kate never communicates: "Not to hear nothing.  No call, no Twitter.  No Snap...chat shot.  I think she's dead, she's had lapse, she's never coming home like her father who is never here.  My life is h--l, Katarina."  Kate, frustrated at the use of her given name: "It's Kate."  Petra: "Kate is not a name.  Katarina is name.  Cat is animal.  Meow."  Kate hits her head repeatedly against the wall, seething inside: "Can I get some sleep?"  Petra, continuing to poke through Kate's clothes: "One of us should sleep.  I don't sleep."  Petra holds up a flimsy nightie: "This is naughty!"  Kate: "Mom!  Can I please just go to sleep!"  Petra, coming over to sniff her daughter: "You are clean?"  She fluffs Kate's pillow.  Kate begins to hope of sleep when Petra turns out the light, but her mother still doesn't leave.  Instead, she sits down on the bed and sings a mournful Croatian lullaby, stroking Kate's head.  Kate groans, trying to cover her face with the blanket.  (Caution: h-word used)

Tom is seeing Kate onto the bus after their first date.  When she asks him for his phone number to set up a second date, Tom admits he doesn't have a cell.  Kate looks at him like he's just announced his arrival from Mars.  Tom, elaborating: "I do have a phone.  It's just locked in a cupboard."  Kate: "Why?"  Tom: "I got so tired of staring at my hand all day.  You should try it."  Kate, horrified: "That's like saying you should 'try' death."  Just then, their conversation is interrupted by Kate's ringtone.  Kate pulls her phone out of her purse, looks at it, and rejects the call before giving her attention back to Tom.  Tom, pointing at the phone: "Ditch that.  All of your stresses will just melt away."  Kate, smiling: "But I just like stress!"
