ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

## How We Use Cookies

__"Where can I find my Access Key to sign-in with?"__
- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. If you can't find your Key, please email us at: [support@screenvue.com ](mailto:support@screenvue.com "support@screenvue.com")

__"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access. 
- The *CVL Total Producer Package* offers 4,000+ studios and producers, including every major Hollywood studio and most of the major/minors, and comes with complimentary access to the new ScreenVue Vault: unlocked with a provided Access Key.

__"What is the difference between Scene Ideas, Scene Views, and Scene Downloads?"__
- The ScreenVue Vault offers THREE different types of Scenes:

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

The members of the House of Representatives are engaged in a heated debate over whether or not to adopt an amendment to the constitution that would prohibit slavery in the United States.  Mr. Wood, on the side of slavery: "We shall oppose this amendment and any legislation that so affronts natural law, insulting to God as to man!  Congress must never declare equal those whom God created unequal!"  Wood's supporters cheer loudly.  Mr. Stevens is a staunch supporter of abolishing slavery: "Slavery is the only insult to natural law, you fatuous nincompoop!"  Stevens' supporters cheer loudly.  Pendleton, standing to attack Stevens: "What is unnatural, in your opinion?  Niggrahs casting ballots?  Niggrah representatives?  Is that unnatural, Stevens?  Intermarriage?"  Stevens: "What violates natural law?  Slavery...and you!  Pendleton, you insult God!"

Mr. Stevens is meeting with President Lincoln to discuss the future of freed slaves in the United States.  Stevens, a radical abolitionist, wants not only to free the slaves and to give them equal rights, but also to confiscate the property of dissenters and give it to the slaves.  Lincoln, while admiring Stevens' passion, believes that justice needs to be tempered with grace to keep the country whole.  Stevens, focused solely on justice: "You know what the people are.  You know that the inner compass, that should direct the soul toward justice, has ossified in white men and women, North and South, unto utter uselessness, through tolerating the evil of slavery."  Lincoln, thoughtfully: "A compass, I learned when I was surveying, it'll point you true north from where you're standing.  But it's got no advice about the swamps and deserts and chasms that you'll encounter along the way.  If, in pursuit of your destination, you plunge ahead, headless of obstacles, and achieve nothing more than to sink into a swamp, what's the use of knowing true north?"

Mr. Hawkins is cornered by three members of his political party who have heard that he intends to vote against the party and in favor of abolishing slavery.  Mr. Wood approaches the frightened Hawkins and lays his hands heavily on the man's shoulders, accusing him of betraying the party.  Later, Mr. Hawkins is being pursued by Mr. Bilbo, who has heard he changed his vote in favor of his party.  Mr. Hawkins, trying to explain his decision: "If my neighbors hear that I voted yes for n----r freedom and no to peace, they will kill me."  Hawkins increases his speed to try to escape Bilbo.  Mr. Bilbo continues to pursue him, urging him to take a stand: "You do right, Clay Hawkins!"  Hawkins, looking near to tears: "I want to do right, but I got no courage!"  (Caution: "p--s" used crudely)

President Lincoln is working with two members of his staff to draft a telegram that could end the Civil War.  Lincoln, burdened with the desire to end slavery without continuing to fracture the nation, is thoughtful.  His head is bowed and his fists are clenched, knowing the decision he must make will affect so many lives.  The two clerks watch him silently until he is ready to compose the telegram.  After dictating the message, he suddenly asks the surprised clerks: "You think we choose to be born?"  Clerk #1: "I don't suppose so."  Lincoln: "Are we fitted to the times we're born into?"  Clerk #1: "Well, I don't know about myself.  You may be, sir...fitted."  Lincoln, looking to the other man: "What do you reckon?"  Clerk #2: "Well, I'm an engineer.  I reckon there's machinery, but no one's done the fitting."

President Lincoln has just informed his wife of his decision to allow their son, Robert, to serve in the Civil War.  Mary, still burdened by the grief over the loss of their son Willie, is furious with her husband for allowing Robert to fight.  Mary is certain Robert will be killed in battle or by the dreaded diseases of the battlefield.  She wonders aloud how she will ever forgive her husband when Robert dies, and accuses Abraham of regretting their marriage.  Lincoln at first responds to her emotional tirade calmly, but when Mary infers that she was the only one who suffered true heartbreak at the loss of Willie, he releases his own pent up emotions: "Your grief!  Your grief!  Your inexhaustible grief!"  Lincoln, feeling the responsibility of both a country and his other children on his shoulders, felt he must stay strong to support them.  He never gave himself the luxury Mary took of retreating from the world to wallow in her misery.  Mary, sobbing on her knees, thinks her husband unfeeling for continuing on with life after Willie.  She tells Abraham that he will have to commit her to the madhouse if Robert dies as well.  Lincoln, quietly: "I couldn't tolerate you grieving so for Willie because I couldn't permit it in myself.  Though I wanted to, Mary.  I wanted to crawl under the earth, into the vault, with his coffin.  And I still do.  Every day I do.  Don't speak to me about grief."  Lincoln tells his wife that he must make the decisions that will direct their family and the country, just as she must make her own decisions.  What he asks of her is her support: "You alone, Mary, you alone may lighten this burden.  Or render it intolerable."  (Caution: gd-word used)

Mrs. Keckley stops to thank President Lincoln for his support of the anti-slavery amendment.  Lincoln wonders what will happen to the slaves when freed: "Are you afraid of what lies ahead for your people, if we succeed?"  Mrs. Keckley acknowledges that white people don't want free blacks in their country, and asks the president how he feels.  Lincoln, while expressing his belief that whites and blacks are equal and should have equal "expectations," isn't sure: "What you are to the nation, what'll become of you once slavery's day is done, I don't know."  Mrs. Keckley: "What my people are to be, I can't say.  Negroes have been fighting and dying for freedom since the first of us was a slave.  I never heard any ask what freedom would bring.  Freedom is first.  And, as for me, my son died fighting for the Union, wearing the Union blue.  For freedom he died.  And I'm his mother.  That's what I am to the nation, Mr. Lincoln.  What else must I be?"

President Lincoln is being pressured by members of his cabinet to abandon the amendment to abolish slavery in favor of keeping the peace.  Lincoln, determined to end both the war and slavery, is unwilling to compromise.  He opens his hands pleadingly to his compatriots: "We are stepped out upon the world stage now!  Now!  With the fate of human dignity in our hands!  Blood's been spilt to afford us this moment!"  Lincoln points his finger around the room at each of the men: "Now!  Now!  Now!  And you grousle and heckle and dodge about like pettifogging Tammany Hall hucksters!  See what is before you.  See the here and now...that's the hardest thing, the only thing that accounts.  Abolishing slavery by constitutional provision settles the fate for all coming time, not only for the millions now in bondage, but of unborn millions to come."

President Lincoln walks his horse slowly over the field of a recent battle.  He looks around, silently observing the death and destruction caused by the Civil War.  The bodies of men are everywhere, littering the whole scene.  At one point where the dead men have fallen in a particularly thick pile, Lincoln removes his hat, honoring them for their ultimate sacrifice.
