ScreenVue is the result of a joint venture and partnership between Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC).

ScreenVue first launched in 2003 as a service of CVLI. The CVLI Church Video License provides legal coverage for churches and for other ministry organizations to show DVDs, Blu-rays, digital, movie downloads and streams of motion pictures. Each organization needs to be specifically covered. Coverage includes playing just a few seconds of a movie all the way up to showing the full-length feature.

Each *Total Producer Church Video License* (or any *Church Video Licence* globally) comes with free ScreenVue Vault access.

The ScreenVue Vault offers 14,000+ Scene Ideas, Views and Downloads from a variety of movies and resources.

### CCLI

Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) was established in 1988 to provide churches with simple, affordable solutions to complex copyright issues. CCLI helps churches maintain their integrity while giving them the freedom to worship expressively and spontaneously.

Churches often face copyright infringement issues in two areas: 1) copying music without permission, and 2) showing movies without authorization.

For copying music to assist with congregational singing, the Church Copyright License provides blanket coverage for 600,000+ songs and 7,000+ publishers and song owners. Currently, global churches are using 600,000+ CCLI licenses.

### CVLI

From a unique partnership between Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI) and Motion Picture Licensing Corporation (MPLC), Christian Video Licensing International (CVLI) and the Church Video License was formed in 2001.

The Church Video License provides churches with legal coverage to show all, or any portion of, thousands of movie titles from a number of movie producers, including all the major studios. Currently, the titles from 3,000+ producers are represented by the Church Video License, including the titles that contain all the scenes that are part of the ScreenVue Vault.

- Every Church Video Licence globally and every *Total Producer Church Video License* (or *Standard CVLI Video License*) in the USA comes with FREE access to the ScreenVue Vault, which is unlocked with your Access Key. Your Access Key will be included in the monthly CVL update emails you receive. __"Why won't my Access Key work?"__
- The usual reason for the Access Key not to work (and a footer error message to appear) is that something is missing from the sign-in protocol.
- Enter the *Email address* associated with your Church Video License (or CCLI account).
- Enter the *Access Key* found in your last CVL update email (exactly, with no spaces).
- Select the *Terms of Use* and a *Keeping in Touch* option.
- You should be in! If you have done all this and still have a problem, please let us know and we'll dig further.

__"In the USA, why don't I have access as a CVL Family Values Package member?"__
- The *CVL Family Values Package* offers only 65+ studios and producers, and does not include any major/minor Hollywood studios - and does not come with ScreenVue Vault access.

__"What are the restrictions for streaming our service and including a movie scene? "__
- For churches that stream their services and want to include any part of a movie (the entire film or just a scene), the Church Video License terms do not cover streaming a movie scene - even if used in a sermon - over the internet to the general public.
- However, it is permissible to live stream a movie scene inside the facility as long as it is a closed-stream (not accessed publicly).

Scar holds up a mouse he has just captured, speaking to it: "Life's not fair, is it?  You see, I...well, I shall never be king.  And you shall never see the light of another day.  Adieu."  He moves to eat the mouse, but is interrupted by the entrance of Zazu.  Zazu tells Scar that King Mufasa is coming to see him.  Mufasa is seeking an explanation as to why Scar didn't attend his own nephew's presentation ceremony that morning.  Mufasa arrives just in time to stop Scar from eating Zazu.  Scar greets Mufasa sarcastically: "Why, if it isn't my big brother, descending from on high to mingle with the commoners."  Mufasa: "Sarabi and I didn't see you at the presentation of Simba."  Mufasa feigns forgetfulness: "That was today?  Oh, I feel simply awful."  Zazu: "As slippery as your mind is, as the king's brother, you should have been first in line!"  Scar, bitterly: "Well, I was first in line...until the little hairball was born."  Mufasa: "That hairball is my son and your future king."  Scar: "Oh, I shall practice my curtsy."  Scar walks away from Mufasa.

Mufasa, the lion king of the Pride Lands, is showing his son the kingdom which will one day be his.  They sit on a rocky outcropping, surveying the land surrounding them, watching the sun rise.  Mufasa: "A king's time as ruler rises and falls like the sun.  One day, Simba, the sun will set on my time here and will rise with you as the new king."  Father and son walk across the plains where the antelope leap.  Mufasa: "Everything you see exists in a delicate balance.  As king, you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures...from the crawling ant to the leaping antelope."  Simba: "But, Dad, don't we eat the antelope?"  Mufasa: "Yes, Simba.  When we die, our bodies become grass, and the antelope eat the grass.  And so, we are all connected in the great circle of life."

Young Simba excitedly tells his Uncle Scar how he is going to be the future king.  Scar, who is jealous of his brother for inheriting the throne, expresses his excitement in sarcasm that goes over Simba's head.  Simba innocently asks Scar: "When I'm king, what will that make you?"  Scar, bitterly: "A monkey's uncle."  Scar hatches a plot to trick Simba into dangerous territory, which would perhaps cause Simba's death and Scar's inheritance of the throne.  He asks Simba if his father showed him the forbidden territory.  Simba, disappointed, says no, it was too dangerous.  Scar then feigns agreement with Simba's father, but in a way that makes it enticing to Simba.  Scar: "Only the bravest lions go there."  Simba believes he is brave.  He asks Scar what is in the forbidden territory.  Scar pretends to accidentally let it slip: "An elephant graveyard is no place for a young prince.  Ooops!"  Simba is immediately excited, just as Scar planned.  Scar, while flattering Simba for his cleverness, reminds him not to go into the graveyard.  Scar knows that's just where he's headed.

Simba and Nala, two young lion cubs, know they are disobeying their parents when they visit the elephant's graveyard.  Their curiosity and desire for adventure, however, lead them to explore the forbidden territory.  The cubs' faces are filled with excitement as they gaze over the desolate wasteland.  Nala: "We could get in big trouble."  Simba, excited: "I know.  Ha!"  The two move to explore deeper into the graveyard when they encounter Zazu, Simba's father's right-hand bird.  Zazu tells the naughty cubs they have wandered way beyond pride land boundaries and must return home, but Simba just taunts the bird for being scared.  Zazu tries to provide the voice of reason: "Right now we are all in very real danger."  Simba scoffs: "Ha!  I walk on the wild side.  I laugh in the face of danger.  Ha ha ha ha!"  Simba's smile fades as three hungry hyenas emerge from an elephant's skull, looking for a meal of lion cub.

Simba has disobeyed his father, Mufasa, and gone to the elephant's graveyard with Nala.  Mufasa has had to rescue the two cubs and now he prepares to give his son a lecture.  He calls loudly to his son.  The contrite Simba walks slowly toward his father, stopping when his paw lands on his father's massive footprint.  He sees how large his father's feet are compared to his small ones.  He sits next to Mufasa, hanging his head.  Mufasa: "Simba, I'm very disappointed in you."  Simba: "I was just trying to be brave, like you."  Mufasa: "I'm only brave when I have to be.  Simba, being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble."  Simba: "But you're not scared of anything."  Mufasa: "I was today.  I thought I might lose you."  Simba: "Oh.  I guess even kings get scared, huh?"

King Mufasa has just received word that his son, Simba, is trapped in a wildebeest stampede.  He runs, along with his brother, Scar, and his major domo, Zazu, toward the site of the stampede.  They find Simba clinging to a branch, just out of the way of the rampaging beasts.  Mufasa watches in terror as the branch begins to crack.  He races down among the wildebeests toward Simba.  Just as Simba is knocked into the air, Mufasa catches him in his mouth and begins running toward safety.  But he is knocked down repeatedly and just manages to place Simba safely on a ledge before falling back into the sea of wildebeests.  Just as Simba begins to despair, Mufasa leaps out of the stampede, clawing his way up the rocky cliff.  Relieved, Simba begins climbing up the other side to meet his father at the top.  Scar, however, is waiting calmly for his brother at the top of the cliff.  Mufasa, struggling, calls out to his brother for help.  His eyes cold, Scar reaches down and digs his claws into Mufasa's paws, causing him to cry out in pain.  Scar, smiling evilly: "Long live the king."  Mufasa's eyes widen as he realizes his brother is going to betray him.  Scar pushes Mufasa off the cliff.

Timon, Pumbaa, and Simba are lying on their backs, watching the stars.  Pumbaa: "Ever wonder what those sparkling dots are up there?"  Timon, confidently: "Pumbaa...I don't wonder, I know.  They're fireflies - - fireflies that got stuck up in that big blue-ish black thing."  Pumbaa, embarrassed at his own ignorance: "Oh, gee.  I always thought they were balls of gas burning billions of miles away."  Timon, teasingly: "Pumbaa, with you, everything's gas."  The two friends ask Simba his opinion on the stars.  Simba hesitantly tells them what his father told him: "Somebody once told me that the great kings of the past are up there, watching over us."  Timon and Pumbaa laugh at Simba's answer, but Simba falls silent, staring up at the stars.

Simba is proudly showing Nala around his beautiful home in the jungle.  Nala asks Simba why he never returned to his homeland, Pride Rock.  Simba: "Well, I just needed to get out on my own...live my own life.  And I did, and it's great!"  Nala: "We've really needed you at home.  You're the king."  Simba is content to let his uncle, Scar, take the throne.  Nala tells Simba that Scar has all but destroyed the land in his absence.  Nala: "Simba, if you don't do something, everyone will starve."  Simba refuses to go back, quoting his beloved mantra, "Hakuna Matata" (no worries).  Simba asks Nala why he should worry about bad things that he can't change.  Nala: "Because it's your responsibility!"  Nala begs Simba to return with her and restore his kingdom, but Simba refuses.

Simba is faced with the decision of whether or not to return to his homeland and assume the throne in his father's place.  Rafiki approaches him: "Change is good."  Simba: "Yeah, but it's not easy.  I know what I have to do, but going back means I'll have to face my past.  I've been running from it for so long."  (Simba is plagued with guilt over his father's death, which he considers to be his fault.)  Rafiki suddenly whacks Simba over the head with his staff.  Simba: "What was that for?"  Rafiki, trying to prove a point: "It doesn't matter, it's in the past!  Ha ha ha."  Simba, rubbing his head: "Yeah, but it still hurts."  Rafiki: "Oh, yes, the past can hurt.  But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it."  He swipes at Simba again with the staff, but Simba ducks.  Rafiki: "You see?  So, what are you going to do?"  Simba begins running home.

Simba has returned to his homeland to retake the throne from his evil uncle, Scar.  He threatens Scar with a fight if he won't surrender the throne.  Scar: "Oh, must this all end in violence?  I'd hate to be responsible for the death of a family member.  Wouldn't you agree, Simba?"  (Scar is manipulating Simba with the guilt he carries over the death of his father.  Scar actually murdered Mufasa, but he made Simba believe it was all his fault.)  Simba: "That's not gonna work, Scar.  I've put it behind me."  Scar asks if the other lions have put it behind them.  The lions ask Simba what Scar means, and Simba confesses his responsibility in the death of his father.  The other lions can't believe it, but Simba says it's true.  Scar quickly takes the opportunity to turn the pride against Simba: "You see, he admits it.  Murderer!"  Simba tells them it was just an accident, but Scar circles him, throwing out accusations.  Scar: "If it weren't for you, Mufasa would still be alive!  It's your fault he's dead!  Do you deny it?"  Simba: "No."  Scar: "Then you're guilty!"  Scar walks threateningly toward Simba, backing him toward the cliff.  Simba falls, hanging onto the edge with his paws.  Scar whispers to Simba right before he pushes him over: "Here's my little secret.  I killed Mufasa."  Simba leaps over the edge, tackling Scar and ordering him to confess to the others.  Scar, reluctantly, with Simba's paw at his throat: "I killed Mufasa."
